to the followers who have fallen victim to my wander over yonder posting, sorry ig?? i showed it to a kid i’m babysitting and the obsession with this show kicked back in stronger than ever. i remember watching it when i was 7 and it’s still as great as i remember. wov is literally the first show i ever watched in english (second one was adventure time), it also basically kickstarted my obsession with animation, so i’d say it pretty much shaped me as a person lolz. +i think the fact that it’s heavily queercoded kinda helped me realise i was queer faster than i would have otherwise (ik ik sounds ridiculous, but stay with me here)

in conclusion, wander over yonder is the best :D

I wov coming on here and seeing people going on deranged mentally ill rage rants abt the most benign things . But you have to understand that half the time theyre not actually mad about the thing they're raging abt, it actually goes much deeper there's so many hidden messages and clues as to the true grievance of the poster. Sometimes its easy to decipher what their actual issue is, othertimes it takes a bit of contemplation and decoding. But ultimately its well worth it i think youll often find the most beautiful and horrifying truths about humanity in these things

A (longer) Message to Harry Styles.

After a hectic day of not feeling my best but smiling through it, I’m home and have somewhat organised the million and one thoughts going through my head. Maybe not. Maybe this will be a mess anyways and it won’t make sense even after the 5th re-read. But here goes nothing, I suppose!

Today, coming to my dashboard has made me beyond giddy. Everyone, no matter where they are in the world, is wishing you a Happy Harry Birthday, all puns intended. We’ve called it Harry day and personally, since I wasn’t active whatsoever, I’ll call it Harry week, Harry month even so that I can continue giving you support and love all month long. I’m just so happy to see the world happy and coming together to make someone happy with birthday wishes! It makes me giggly!

I said I was going to be in pain if I didn’t see your face today, but then I thought that I would be in even more pain if I saw it. This will make sense, hold up, stay with me.

So here’s my wish to you on this day, and for any other day of your life. I wish you happiness.

You see... At first I had a selfish thought that I wanted to get a glimpse of your smiling face as you celebrated with friends and family and that maybe a pap photo of you having a good time will make me see that you indeed had a good day and that’s all I wanted, to see you have a good day. And then I told myself, what could make his day better? I know what. Not getting photographed. Not having to worry about paps, or people hacking into personal private photos, not having to act like you’re happy but instead getting to be happy with the ones you love surrounding you. Not having to be The Harry Styles teenage heartthrob (can we still say teenage heartthrob or...?) That would make your day better, maybe, right?

I wanted and wished that you’d have a chill and very happy birthday, a calmed and relaxed, and really happy, a truly happy birthday. Do I want to see your face? Why yes, yes I do. You’re my baby and I wov you, loads. But because I love you I also want you to have the best day and maybe that includes not letting me see your face and that’s ok. Because I’m all up for your happiness first. I hope you had exactly that. 

I sit and think about how much being THE Harry Styles must weigh on your shoulders. I don’t know cause I’m not you and I don’t know you, so it’s all just imaginary things, things that might not be real after all, but if there is any weight that you’d like to get off from the fact that you get to be and most of the time have to be this big pop-star, I wish that today, on your birthday you get to not feel it over your shoulders. I hope you can get a break from it not just today but any day you want because you should be able to. 

On your birthday Harry, I wish you just that.  That you can be Harry. 

That you can do you, and not be judged by anyone, or have anyone find out where you are. That you can sit and smile and share some time with friends, and get all blush-y and giddy over the million and one birthday messages that blew up your phone today. I wish you had that for more than just today. I wish that you’re surrounded by people that allow you to be Harry, that you’re comfortable around enough to just be Harry, to just be another 23 year old lad in the world. I wish that someday down the road you remember your birthdays like this. Just you and the important people, and no one else outside the selection, ever knew a thing.

I also wish you and send you strength (I cannot believe I wrote that right on the first try) I wish you the best of launches into your music career, and even if you don’t give us, if you don’t give yourself one, know that I support the decision, and I wish you strength to make the decision that takes your life wherever you want it to go.

You’ll never stop being relevant, Harold. You’ll never stop being this golden boy that has blinded the world with his shine. You’ll be forever in our hearts. And I thank you for that. For being you, unapologetically, and for rocking it. Thank you for being such an amazing artist and person. Thank you for sharing yourself with us, thank you to your family for sharing you with us. I hope that you feel all the love we’re sending, because you deserve it, you’ve been through a lot and it’s made you who you are today. I cannot wait to hear from you, whatever it is you have to say, as long as it makes you happy. 

Well, I’ve gotten sidetracked, as usual. I don’t know if my point has been made, I don’t know if I even had a point to begin with. Maybe by doing this post I’m treating you like THE Harry Styles instead of just Harry but know that if you ever needed me to, I would try, so hard, to make my company a place where you can be Harry. So with that being said...

Be nice, be good, be you, Harry, cause that’s just what we like and need. For people born and raised and living in the USA,

Aren't we lucky to be born in a country where no matter how shit goes down, we still have a community and a government that will ensure that we don't start a genocide?

Aren't we lucky we weren't sent papers, gathered up on cattle trains, and sent to hard labor/death camps?

Aren't we lucky we are given opportunity and freedom, when decades ago or even now in the present in others countries, some people don't have that freedom or opportunity.

Aren't we lucky we can speak loudly without fear that the government is listening and will kill us and our families on spot for speaking our opinions?

We are lucky to live in the US, we truly are. Sure, there are flaws and mishaps and still is aggression and violence, but there are still people who form communities and still are people who stand up for what is right to make a difference that is bound to happen. Other people in others countries don't have that.

We take for granted the country we live in. We don't have to be overly patriotic, but we have to come to a realization that we are lucky to live in a country where we keep fighting to make it home of the free. Shit is bound to happen, violence and aggression is still gonna happen, but we have the right to fight to end it when others don't.

Don't take for granted of what you have, cherish these moments. We didn't have it worst. We don't have it worst.

The Holocaust, the USSR, North Korea, the Rwandan Genocide, The Ukrainian Genocide/Great Famine, the Russo-Ukrainian War, the Rape of Nanking– and so many more worst things have happened. And we fight to make sure those things don't come to our country, and if it's a threat, we fight to ensure we keep it off our borders.

Stop complaining, educate yourself, and be grateful. We have it better than others, and that's a sad reality to face.

I want every single one of you writers to give yourself a pat on the back.

It is hard to make characters, and it's even harder to make characters as realistic as possible because it involves God knows how many hours of research, editing, writing, sharing, and what ever else you do to ensure your character is "perfect" in their own way (perfect being that they *the writer* has achieved to make this character into someone, to put life and a story in them that makes them human and who they are.)

It's hard, I understand that struggle. Despite my love for writing and history, it is hard to make a character precise, especially when it's a character from another country that you aren't familiar with. It involves research and doubt and experience and determination to create characters. It takes years for a writing director or video game dev to make a character, and there may be so many errors in them. But I see how many of you really put time and dedication to make your characters be real people, and it amazes me. Especially when it takes y'all only a few months to maybe a year to complete the backstory of a character. Not many people have these skills, and you should be proud of yourselves.

So give yourself a huge pat on the back or hug or high five, and feel free to reblog and say which character/OC you are proud of and how long it took you to complete the story of this character.
