#--/ art #--/ story #ava the dark lord #⬇⬇⬇ context in the tags ⬇⬇⬇#alan becker #animator vs animation #animation vs minecraft #ava the chosen one #it is done !! ok ill give y'all the intro context synopsis now #the story goes that way way way way before Showdown cho and dark used to sneak into abandoned-looking buildings in the city at night #and one such target they stumble upon happens to be a storage room containing artifacts from Minecraft #the most interesting being the beds.#on this particular outing cho and dark were returning from other shenanigans and could use a place to rest. perfect!#dark belly-flops onto the right bed (scooting them out of alignment) and strikes a pose.#while chosen is shoving them back together again... oh. he's already asleep? ...???#!!! the beds draw you in if you get too close!#so what was supposed to be half an hour at most rest turned into the whole night. they skedaddled and forgot about the freaky beds.#until. a certain someone goes and dies :333 #you get it now ! ! !#it was dark diesn't ALL ALONG-#yeah and then for extra spice i threw in that the hooded stick King meets with during his episode to buy a command block...#...happens to own that storage room.#thus and so begins more brand new shenanigans with dark interacting with this shady rando. i call em seafoam #i highly extremely doubt there's a tag for seafoam . . . wiki calls them only 'hooded stick figure'#anyhow. behind the scenes this was also a practice of drawing things in 3D... keeping on model... and composition for storytelling #and i learned some things about how Whiteboard works too :o i. didn't know about the fill tool. it is cool #yayaya!! so that's been in my head for a while.#thx for reading <3 <3 ill be posting some close-up shots of this and other things i put on the whiteboard later #Minecraft bed

i know you already said it doesnt bother you but i want to genuinely apologize if there is even the slightest chance you got flak for agreeing with shit i said. you are clearly an incredibly patient person who has spent what looks like years explaining and re-explaining the same racist tropes and cliches to people and doing so with a frankly impressive degree of composure. i am sorry that not more people are able to recognize this.

This is very kind of you and I appreciate your saying so, but as you point out, I've been saying far more detailed and strongly-worded things for a long time myself! So I'm used to that kind of thing. Oh wow... it has been years... not to mention all the time I spent pointing out the ways people are so harsh toward or ignore Elita-1 and other women. I definitely need to take more breaks .__.' I certainly picked two favorite characters I'd have a rough time in the fandom with (though of course this sort of thing happens to basically all prominent characters in different respects).

It is too bad that this kind of backlash happens, and I wish this wasn't a continuous fight even in things that are supposed to be fun like fandom, but I'm sure you've also seen all the positivity and relief and commiseration and understanding in responses, too! Basically every time I talk about these things, I see that in the replies. If just one fan can feel happier or safer or learn to recognize these harmful trends, that's amazing. And I always this happening with so many!

#Oh also now that people will have a new way to read all the Marvel comics and annuals (which I am happy to see!)#let's work to make sure the fandom never goes back to considering it gauche to mock and criticize how Furman wrote women. updates! we're on the other side of my body & the fabric now bc i sewed.... all my seams the wrong way round (i SWEAR im competent at this)

not many changes with the front! i fixed the strap position & i think im happy with it now. i am looking at that stomacher size & im thinking it looks a little narrow? im thinking in my next round of adjustments im going to fold over the robe line another cm at least- the neckline could stand to be wider anyway.

most of the changes are to the back! the fit along the seam is MUCH better now :) that was the main thing i think actually succeeded.... the rest still needs work.

im happier with where the strap seam hits on the body, but i think the angle is too steep & it needs to be back further up the armhole.

i also lowered the back neck to line up with where the strap met it, but i think its lower than i want, so instead im going to lift it up another inch & change how the strap meets it instead.

and last thing is that i thinkkkkk the armhole is too low at the bottom so im going to add more there- i figure i can always trim it away if i dont like it anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i think thats all!!!! honestly, its pretty close to how i want it, at least in terms of fit. im going to go look at a bunch of examples and see if theres anything that needs changing visually, but i think im ready to cut into my real lining fabric!

#the real actual truth is i sewed all the seams wrong the first time #i will be doing the back slit ties thing but nonetheless i wanted it to fit well without it #i also realise i havent done a robe intro post yet. i dont really feel like im ready??? but i guess i AM working on it #lady stede build #the back neck doesn't look super low but its actually like. a whole finger length from my nape

attempting to make he is one of the few piano pieces i learn from beginning to end and don't get bored of halfway through. this is an accountability post

#the piano in the dingy music practice room on campus is out of tune #so it sounds a bit off #i trust the sheet music <3 blaming the piano in the basement of the union pub #because who is going to be tuning that thing #anyway . previous ghost songs i've started then got bored of include zenith and life eternal #also moac #tried the spillways intro but my hands are too small #tragic.#i'd say it's because i have to book the piano room then walk to campus and i usually only have an hour #so it's hard to practice regularly #but even if i had a piano in my house i don't think i'd be disciplined hjdfbjh #should have pushed on with that cambridge application. they give you pianos in your accommodation if u ask nicely #i think it's easy to tell when i'm procrastinating on my uni work because i start rambling about the most irrelevant and uninteresting stuf #on one of the tumblr blogs #apologies #will be back to this post once i've finished all 4 pages of he is #we're at a shaky 1 right now

Writing is a sine wave and I am currently at the top of a peak where I feel showstopping-ly talented and think my writing is fucking amazing.

This, too, is temporary, but damn it sure feels good right now 🤩

#It's quiet in the office again this week so I've been writing instead of working #And it's super early days still and what I'm writing is probably 60-40 first draft vs outline #But already I'm seeing voice differences in Niles's POV scenes vs Daphne's POV #And Daphne's intro scene came together so much more easily than Niles's so my confidence is back up #And it has me so excited to see the rest of this story come to life!#I'm writing their first meeting now!! 🤩#I'm going to have a fanfic to post May 18th! I LOVE WRITING STORIES!!! 🎉

Mildly deranged paladin, who's spent the last decade traveling Faerun in an ill-defined and vaguely homoerotic partnership with a druid, is tasked with becoming the traveling companion and knight errant of the druid's daughter, an anxious freak of a cleric, because because her father (who is retiring from adventuring) and in fact her entire community are afraid that she's going to get lost in another Domain of Dread if she sets out alone again.
