meh HoT gifs (3/?)
#alek gifs#ninjago#ninjago krux#ninjago acronix#hands of time#time twins#alternate title to this series is : stuff i noticed after watching this season 10 whole times#okay actually thats a lie. i realized this the 3rd time around#i think of acronix and how he barely makes any decisions for himself and i go crazy#ppl equate that with him feeling forced to do stuff.. uh hes always been a follower guys!!#cue him calling wu “master wu” even after the twins betrayal. him liking machia bc shes “mean” and bossy#he has no issue with following orders lol. prepare for a long acronix rant one day#contexts -> gif 1 barely counts i just wanted to include him looking at krux. he does this a lot during that fight#gif 2 is before they kill blunck and raggmunk (idk how to spell their names still ... sorry)#gif 3 is before they were going to kill wu in the golden hour legacy short. which is canon !!#gif 4 is before they sent themselves into the temporal vortex#that one post that was like “are we still doing revenge? yeah? cool” bc thats basically acronix#there is something fundamentally wrong with these two's brains but idk how to describe it#krux who literally lost his mind after losing his brother to the point he adopted an entire identity#“he just needed to go undercover!!” counter point as soon as acronix came back he was unable to pretend to be saunders. he acted super weird#like when kai was in the museum he couldnt pretend to be this person he wasnt. acronix was back !!! so was he. krux was 100% going to kill#the smith sibs if maya and ray didnt comply. also.. canonly they knew him when they worked as teachers back in s3. he watched them grow up#and pretended all was well meanwhile their parents were being forced to work and slave away to build the iron doom. he is not normal#then you have acronix who thrives off of violence and is described as throwing himself into battle like a blunt object. has no regard#for himself as a person and just takes (almost) everything his brother says as gospel. s7 couldve done smthn really cool with how#the only thing the twins ever really disagreed on was technology. also ive went on a semirant about how krux's hatred for tech was misplaced#hatred for losing acronix. wanted to travel to the pre modern era? okay well whyd he pick 40 years ago specifically. also NOTE that they#went back after their past selves had lost. they wouldve faired better if they went and helped their past selves. also the reversal blade#had already fallen so when the twins went back in time there was two kruxes. he literally went back to when he had been all alone for the#for the first time. he went back to when his life was ruined and his brother was gone!! but he had nix with him this time . ughdhf

can you imagine a timeline in which the story let Dabi and Geten team up to be Shouto's final boss. Fire and Ice vs Fire and Ice. Fire hotter than Shouto's and Ice control more varied and precise than Shouto's vs Shouto. Shouto needing to reconcile both sides of his fucked up family and save both his brother and (distant) cousin.
Imagine the story having Geten be carried off by Machia too during the Jaku arc. Dabi giving his reveal, Geten may or may not have known it already, this connection between them that was so obvious the moment Geten showed up in My Villain Academia. Dabi and Geten calling truce and combining their bitterness over the bloodlines that screwed them over.
Enji was supposed to die, Horikoshi said that on record - likely it was when he was frozen by emotions and Dabi was coming for him. But like, Dabi's thing was that he wanted to die with his dad, right? Kill himself and his dad together in a blue blaze. Enji's body can't stand that degree of fire. But Dabi's can.
Enji's dying, but Dabi is still alive - perfect time for Shouto (and Best Jeanist?) to intervene. Shouto tries to use ice not only to subdue Dabi, but also to capture him - except Geten has control over all ice. Geten able to control Shouto's ice, manipulating it in complex ways Shouto can't because Shouto can only create ice.
Imagine the rest of the Todoroki family actually getting a role in saving Touya because Enji's dead. Imagine Rei able to be free of Enji, and now also able to confront her family that sold her. That made victims of her and her branch family cousin.
Imagine the story delving into Geten and Dabi as foils. Add in Shouto as a third foil, too. Two main family sons, one heir and one spare, and then a branch family child. Shouto was forced to train, Dabi wanted to train but wasn't allowed, Geten wanted to train and encouraged to. Shouto hates his dad and doesn't want anything to do with Enji if he can help it, Dabi hates his dad because he wanted his dad's love, Geten caring deeply for a father figure in ReDestro and having receiving affection. Yet all three still trapped in the toxicity of family history and the darkness of quirk society.
And in the final battle, Shouto's cold fire able to confront both fire and ice, both sides of his family, all aspects of his blood. Geten sprouting dangerous ideas about strength, Dabi wanting to prove his power within that same framework that excluded him, Shouto the one to break free from that framework altogether - and bringing both his brother and cousin out from it too.
#nalslastworkingbraincell#still on that Geten kick#random unrelated:#headcanoning Geten's real name as having 霜 in it somewhere - frost. read 'shimo' or 'sou'

I have noticed something...and maybe I'm poking a mega dead horse now but...Izu has no emotional investment in this damn story, not only in the "lets save shig" but in everything.
1) why he wants to be a hero so badly? Shrugs
2) What he thinks of AFO? Shrugs
3) what he think of LoV? Shrugs
(nothing that any other hero wouldn't be able to say)
He has no connection, not even with am and it's pathetically sad bc this boy is a fan of am...and he doesn't even know the name of am. Is that a thing where heroes hide their names? But we can see their faces so the name does nothing to help...so yeah, Izu looks like an idiot here.
Izu never thought about stain or Lov, let alone shig, until the plot says let's save shig.
I'm not saying if dfo was real would be better (small mercy on Hori's side) I'm telling I would like to see a reason as why Izu...is connected to this story. Same for Shig...as anyone could have taken his place (and I don't think the writing is clever enough to go "anyone can be a hero/villain. There no great destiny, it's your choices" SMTH spiderman USUALLY does)
It's because the villains aren't allowed to majorly affect Izuku's life in the long term. Think about it. All Might lost his mentor/mother figure, he lost his health at AFO's hands, and then his quirk publicly burned out in his second fight with AFO. The fight between All Might and AFO is full of pathos. But what does Izuku ever lose and how does Shigaraki or AFO make things personal for him? Nothing, and they don't. The main cast is too bubble wrapped and their plot armor is too thick. Another reason the villains are so impotent is because the story mandates that the main characters leave every encounter smelling like roses. Imagine the following What Ifs. -As retaliation for Kamino, his mother is put in the hospital when Shigaraki orders a hit on her. One of AFO's "friends" is happy to do the job. She was only saved because of Izuku's timely intervention. He fought the assassin off in his home and this battle left him and his mom bleeding and the assassin got away. Said assassin, and we could pick any of the guys who were Final War Arc assassins, they just didn't get sent to Tartarus in this universe, comes for a rematch later. Let's say it was Dictator. -Izuku returns to his family home after Machia's March and sees it's been demolished. He has to pick through the remains of his stuff and his scattered All Might merch and his mother's things. We see him help his neighbors out with their packing up. -Bakugo's sacrifice for him in the first war arc had disastrous results. The guy lost the use of his legs because the tendril pierced his spine when Tomura skewered him. Izuku was at his bedside watching him go through the 5 stages of grief. When Izuku left to start his Dark Hero arc, Hatsume was suggesting an experimental robotic spine replacement. Everyone thought she was crazy but Bakugo said yeah. When next we see Bakugo, he's on his feet but admits he's had to relearn how to walk. It's still not perfect. It probably never will be. But he's here for Izuku.
If canon is going to have All Might using a super suit that lets him 1 vs 1 AFO, and a battlefield heart repair succeeds AND the patient explodes his heart back into functioning, why not go in on theoretical prosthetics? The author is the one who wrote Bakugo getting skewered. Let's actually have that stick. And this is with following the mandate that the heroes and those adjacent to them must live. Let's remove the shackles. You wanna know a way you could have made Shigaraki a huge threat who had major impact on the heroes? Let him kill: Endeavor, Aizawa, and Gran Torino. Three people he had dead to rights but the narrative doesn't let him finish off. Let him. The heroes are allowed to kill the villains. Let a villain kill a hero who actually matters. No one gave a shit about Midnight, not even her two best friends. The story wanted to give something for Mina to do, so we get a really half assed connection where she wants to avenge Midnight because she liked her classes. Not because she had a close bond to Midnight. Not because she was her mentor who taught her things. Not because Midnight was the Aizawa to Mina's Shinso, no. Because she made class time fun. We could go further, you know. Rather than making hero society comically pathetic and thin skinned, make Tomura the menace the story pretends he is. You know all those heroes who quit because the public criticized them too much and left Japan to become a warzone and for people to fend for themselves? No, that doesn't happen. Instead, they were all at the raid on the PLF. All of the squared up to fight. Tomura killed them. Each and every one of them. We'd have panel after panel of him popping people's heads off and punching through bodies. Deku watches this dude go full terminator and then he crashes out. They said he had the physical stats of All Might, plus regeneration? Then let him rampage. Deku's "I'll never forgive you!" actually has weight and means something if Tomura is currently coated in the blood of Izuku's comrades. Not characters who existed just to die to make it look like the heroes lost people, no. Characters the audience could actually begin to care about. The Star And Stripe arc doesn't even need to happen. Tomura was simply so badly wounded from the excessive damage he took in his massacre that he needs to heal. Considering the fact that the final war arc has Deku keep Tomura in the air during their battle, you didn't even need to have chapter after chapter of him fighting mooks while his quirk is erased. Just let everyone jump this man. It gives something for people like Momo and Kaminari to be doing, rather than acting as a fucking battery for a coffin in the sky plan that logically should have ended in tears and death for everyone in UA if "Tomura Shigaraki" was smart enough to simply focus down Monom a and Aizawa. He could have just face tanked everyone's attacks, smashed two heads, and then killed everyone at UA, effortlessly, with a Decay wave. I want to say that the Coffin In The Sky plan was the stupidest thing Nezu could have ever done. Even if Izuku was present like they'd planned, hinging everything on Tomura NEVER breaking line of sight or using someone else's body to obstruct Aizawa and Monoma's view of him, while putting the whole school on the line... Well, it's on brand, given how negligent he usually is about safety and the well being of his students.

All for one vs salem (my hero academia Vs RWBY)
His appearance in shigiaraki vs mahito had me inspired so i made a little something about my favourite for him
Due note this has some minor spoilers for mha manga so consider yourself warned
Connections:
-Ancient villains from a bygone era (the dawn of quirks and first humanity)
-both fashion themselves king/queen of evil (all for one consider himself the symbol of evil and demon king and salem is the queen of grimm)
-both own an army of monsters they command (grimm and nomu)
-both lead an inner faction that handles more delicate work (salem inner circle and the league of villains)
-both would implant a spy in their enemy factions (Aoyama and lionheart)
-both have a giant monster meant to destroy cities (machia and monstra)
-both have an underling that worships them (tyrian and the doctor)
-both would groom a child to serve as a vessel for a power they need to accomplish their goals (shigiaraki was groomed to inherit all for one so he may steal one for all and cinder was groomed to take the maiden powers so salem could get the relics)
-thier arch nemesis is a loved one possessing a strong sense of justice who opposed them in life and ended up dying in battle against them later (yochi and ozma)
-said loved one would later return as a spirit inhabiting different bodies including a teenager to battle them (oscar and the various Ozcarnations and izuku and the one for all users)
Animation:
Lots of range blasts of magic and quirks
Nomu vs grimm
A whole lot of mocking eachother each boasting about divinity and being unstoppable and a lot of attempts at manipulation falling flat
Salem knocking all for one into a grimm pool as she turns back thinking it killed him he blasts back out being revealed to have used a rewind bullet to narrowly survive it
The climax has all for one try and forcibly transfer all for one to salem leading to a confrontation in a mixed vestige world that's a mix of the one all for one and shigiaraki had and a darker version of salem old tower (or evernight both could work) where he mocks her for basically living his dreams and yet wanting to die before he gets consumed and killed (kinda like shigiaraki vs mahito)
Debate:
Now this one is actually very interesting and not just because of how similar it is to shigiaraki vs mahito
The stats definitely go to all for one salem due to her really only becoming a physical threat in volume 8 with the show going on hiatus post 9 (which she didn't even apper in) really only has one fight where she wasn't really trying but even then it's made abundantly clear she dunks on pretty much the entire cast and should upscale along with having her own feat via the grimm river she's in the large island and FTL range
this is definitely not the height of salem power she's clearly not really going all out during her fight in volume 8
Unfortunately this doesn't change much when it comes to her physical abilities compared to all for one since even if we assume that salem is absurdly casual with her feats and massively upscales everyone else and say that when serious she's 10 or even 20 times stronger and faster that still falls short of all for one so he clearly takes stats
However anyone here who watched RWBY knows that if being able to level a country was enough to beat salem the series wouldn't have even happened to begin with which is where we get to the actual meat of the debate
Can all for one actually kill or otherwise incapacitate salem?
Salem can definitely kill him either by wearing him down and overtaxing his quirks as they are still physical abilities over a long campaign as her stamina is endless using the nightmare grimm (less reliable all for one would likely still be able to use his quirks as he and shigiaraki could use Thier quirks in the vestige world which is really no different to the nightmare meaning he'd still have search allowing him to quickly locate the nightmare grimm and defeat it really his only concern would be nightmare all for one but it's manageable) swarming with apathy's dunking him in a grimm pool using the relic if you want to give her those or saying fuck it and taking the abuse till he dies from old age (even if not traditional that's still technically a win con even if a cheap one)
But what can all for one do to bypass her curse?
The way i see he has two possibilities and that's where it becomes similar to shigiaraki vs mahito with it coming down to interpretation
The first option and the not very reliable one in my opinion is instead of using the rewind bullet on himself as intended he instead uses it on salem and rewind her out of existence
I don't think it will really work for multiple reasons
the first one being the possibility her healing factor might just cleanse her of the rewind drug she might get rewound a bit but considering she hadn't aged a day in a couple million years this is hardly a problem
The second being what the rewind bullet even does i mean yeah it rewinds her till she turns to her dad seman and then nothing but i don't see why it would effect her curse when she's completely rewound from existence i don't see why she won't just heal anyway at most it might get rid of her grimm side but considering she can summon grimm that make pools and just jump in them to get it back it's hardly a problem
And the final problem salem age
That women is old and i mean really freaking old millions of years old if miles is to be believed
It took all for one like what 10 minutes to deage 150 years while getting wailed on?
It's seriously not out of the question that even with the rewind effecting her all for one might still die from old age or just run out of stamina by the time she even loses the grimm let alone gets turned to nothing
And it also effectively buffs her regen which also just makes it worse for all for one
Now comes his actual somewhat believable win con the possession via giving away all for one
Now under normal circumstances i don't really consider this a win con for most fights since the way the series paints the effects of all for one on someone who wasn't born with it or got the modifications from the doctor if all for one actually got it inside deku he'd have just exploded immediately which would have killed all for one so i can hardly call it a win con
But salem has a very powerful healing factor meaning she might actually survive it and not immediately explode from quirk cancer she'd probably be in that almost explode state shigiaraki was in during the first war
But frankly trying to possess salem might be the worst thing all for one can do because salem is part grimm
All grimm much like their "ancestor" the jabbawalker possess the ability to absorb and destroy souls an ability also shared by those who are part grimm that's how cinder steals the maiden powers by absorbing the original owner soul destroying it and keeping just the power
Logically salem should possess this power as well so if we treat vestiges as souls....
Yeah she's literally having him for dinner if he tries to possess her
Even if we don't treat the vestiges as souls and just pure biology her healing factor would just overwrite it the only reason the grimm pools could overwrite her DNA is because it's the equal and opposite of light pool and there is no reason to think all for one could accomplish a similar feat it would just be treated a foreign agent and be cleansed
And that's before getting into the pure willpower thing salem definitely has all for one beat there
Overall i think it should go to salem she may be weaker but she ultimately wins the war of attrition since she basically cheats in those and all of all for one win cons have a higher chance of killing him then they do salem
My personal opinion:
I fully recognise that's it's probably not the best for either but personally I love it because it's kind of funny when you think about these characters motivations and why they do what they did
All for one aspires to be the immortal all powerful demon king immortal and beyond all
Basically what Salem already is and hates being
She is basically living his dreams and hating every second of it just wishing to die
And i kind of like it for the way it could echo mahito Vs shigiaraki in certain ways
The potential character interactions really make me wish those two could officially meet but considering mha is basically over it's probably never happening
Also bonus TN that is my favourite but i didn't use because it feels more fitting for cinder vs shigiaraki might make a post about that at some point
#rwby#my hero academia#death battle#death battle ideas#rwby salem#salem rwby#salem#all for one#her win is basically how people thought mahito could win only actually valid this time instead of being based in ignoring everything#shigiaraki was said to be capable of

New MHUI LoV event stuff
first of all - if you follow the news on the new characters even a little - a new UR Shigaraki Tomura came out today (16th of June) he came with a LoV event as they usually do and this one is basically a filler for the time before Star and Stripe arc happened but after Tomura got his mix-match outfit of his own and AFO's choices
and while it is Tomura-centric event it's heavy on stuff with Spinner. He's basically like a second main character of this short thing
The filler answers question on what was LoV doing while Izuku left UA and it uses manga side material as help, because it was stated that Skeptic helped LoV to get new clothes for the Final arc as well as weapons.
A story of event is basically "someone tries to rob us we neew to stop them" while Spinner is questioning if they are really dealing with Tomura anymore, with some interesting localization choises Spinner noticed the Ore vs. Boku thing while Tomura was talking
As it is a turn for a short event we get like 3 parts with Tomura easily defeating the guys who tried to rob that one place
And it's nothing really if you don't count the way Tomura speaks which is really creepy to hear his gaming words while he's also clearly doesn't understand anything anymore what made Tomura Tomura
It's basically what if those chapters before Star and Stripe made Tomura lose it were a story on their own with Tomura still unsure on who he is, but LoV is literally there and they talk about it more than we ever saw them in the manga for... reasons that manga doesn't have filler. At all.
At least not with LoV involved
At the end of it while Spinner is still concerned it all ends with AFOmura or whatever this guy should be called at that point of the story stops questioning it and just agrees with Spinner's question
If you're a manga reader it's worse than just a talk
It also has an interesting point, but sadly as it's a pre-Star and Stripe arc Tomura anything he says doesn't really matter as much
Everything else are basically details, I recommend this event tho, it's not that hard to get all of the story, it's worth having in the MHUI archives
As for other things, more or less harmless - there's an event SR Memory with Toga and Machia and a cards set, the same one Tomura had mostly in the anime
Recruit is standart with a UR Memory for the new character and a SR Memory which is helpful in the event
As for the less neutral stuff I got into the event as soon as I noticed it began and the first thing was to go into the recruit for the new Tomura
got him right away so it was fun and with this my Tomura collection is once again is one off, his first UR is still absent on my account, but 5 characters make a team
Didn't have a motivation to play the event with SR Tomura as my game had an error with dialogue, but I got him at least
Tried playing with him while clearing the event, he has a new battle star animation, battle end animation and of course his own ult animation
He's fun to play with, and that actually got me back into MHA as I was slowly losing my will to still do anything connected to it aside from this game
A small thing that I found interesting was that his recruit voiceline is Tomura's speech from back in 222
Interesting choice as none of old ones had something connected to this chapter
Other than that his Base talks are the same and his reactions in Trust menu are the same too
As usual MHUI LoV events are the best in delivering events with stories that belong in canon and it's easy to imagine them there

Hey hope you're doing ok with the recent bnha discourse?
Still holding out hope for shigaraki/tenko and good writing 👍👍
Can I ask you, if you ever find it kind of off-putting (like I do) when some bnha fans commit to the idea that Deku and the other younger heroes will be the ones to change their society for the better, after the villains are killed?
As if purely heroic methods were really capable of changing hero society, when the very best that the innocent people in bnha have done from their constant protectors, the heroes, is toss the hero kids a shirt and some dollar store med. Items??
(To say nothing of the government corruption that came to be under All-might's nose, that Deku and the other heroes haven't thought about once.)
And they honestly believe that's the best outcome...
It feels either very optimistic or unknowing at best, and completely ignorant at worst.
Do you think so or differently?
Oh yeah, no I totally get what you mean; it kinda looks like we’re on course for a lot to get worse actually. And it all comes back to how poorly they handled the villains; both their talking points, and their failure to save them.
We just have not been given any indication that the next gen are going to do anything better than their predecessors; they're ending their arcs side by side with them as equals and partners after all.
Rather than improving things, they're basically a carbon copy of the last generation; which I feel is exemplified in how the final battle of this war ending in a retread of Kamino. Except like I said, in some areas it feels like it'll just get worse. This retread of Kamino ending not in an arrest, but in a murder; something I find very worrying given Deku's status as the next symbol (which, despite all criticism of All Might in the same roll, Deku has become anyway) because of the impact that'd have on treatment of villains by the heroes Deku inspires. Add in their treatment of Machia & their support of Hawks' handling of Twice and it just doesn't look good. Oh and if that same crowd gets wind of his status as 'The Greatest Hero Who Saves By Putting You Out Of Your Misery' that'll be even more catastrophic. (Especially once the Singularity doomsday starts up for real.)
Meanwhile, what little progress has been made on a societal level is either purely for the heroes benefits, like the civilians acting more grateful to the heroes (and as you say, the results of that are pretty middling, amounting to first aid & a shirt); or else maybe baby steps in the right direction like Shoji's answer to the heteromorph plot. Baby steps they do not have time for, mind you. And even then, that's still a 'maybe' because Shoji's not actually planning anything different from normal hero activity: just be inspiring and hope people follow your example. Meanwhile everything else societal that brought us here, corruption in the system, poor treatment or handing of quirks, general prejudice; it's all just gone unaddressed.
Probably because the points with which they used to be addressed, the League, instead got their plot points changed to revolve around motives more personal, less serious, less justifiable, and more easily addressable by the kids. Y'know; Toga's plot used to be about society's treatment of the other but then was about her wanting love, Dabi's was about people in power abusing their power but then was about him wanting attention, and Shigaraki's was about the lie of hero society and the complacency of the people it inspired, but Deku couldn't do anything about that so instead it because about Tenko's hatred towards his house. But then Deku still couldn't do anything about that so instead it became about Tenko's self-hated. And then Deku still couldn't address that either all too well, really, so we instead got 'It was AFO All Along'; and that Deku could handle with trivial ease. What self-respecting All Might clone couldn't punch AFO?
To use a metaphor I think Tomura would appreciate; it's like they all turned on easy mode, and Deku especially turned on baby mode, and it feels like we're all going to get the bad ending as a result of them skipping so many side-quests, dialogue trees, or special objectives. Personally speaking, any hope I had in things turning around was based in how the villains would be handled, both a) because I expected how they were handled would reflect how their societal motives would be handled(i.e. how Deku saved Tenko would inform us of how he'd save other Tenkos), and b) because I expected they'd need the help and perspective.
Needless to say, I've not been left with much hope that things will turn around.
So yeah, right there with you hoping Tomura could somehow come back, partially because that's the only part of this ending that feels salvageable even by his long-shot odds. But boy is the rest a mess of unfortunate implications beneath the veneer of how "The Day is Saved"...Man, Deku really is an All Might clone.

You can't win with Firepower, but perhaps you can win with Icepower, eh?
Sorry. Yeah I know, there's no way to win against him on a straight battle. The only solution is a battle of attrition, make him spend all his power and die to his own flames. I'm afraid this is how Dabi is gonna go down, consumed by his own hatred.
"Ruined" being a funny way to mention all the people he killed. We're not even counting Twice on this one, I'm only focusing on the thousands of people Machia ran over while dabi laughed like he was Roger finding Raftel.
And yeah, you two are reflections of each other, foils. But you had people to care about you and help you break free from your past and aim at the future. Dabi... wasn't so lucky, unfortunately.

one thing thats interesting to me is we know that geten ascribes to re-destro honing his abilities, like, he doesn't even really talk about liberation, the army, or destro-- nor does he mention anyone else in his life up until he vaguely discusses being a himura

"pledged his allegiance to HIM"
"the very power you helped to garner"
"the grand commander helped make me grow stronger"
"instead received yotsubashi's patronage"
so we can assume that re-destro didn't just oversee geten's training, the two of them have trained together very literally very closely for a very long time. the reason this is interesting to me is because of HOW geten uses his ice.
geten, especially here, uses the ice as an extension of his own body, bulking himself up or providing himself with speed he didn't have before. We even see what appear to be in-progress personal augmentations in his fight against cementoss
he also tends to keep some ice on and around his body at all times. taking a brief moment to mourn his more complex constructions (although i understand why horikoshi wouldnt wanna draw more giant hands or dragons), id also like to point out that he tends to really take a "bigger is better" approach to how he fights. Sure, in Deika we can say that he's planning for Dabi to melt a lot of it, but at Gunga, he very much goes the same route with his giant glacier that springs forth from the villa. We also know from ultra impact that he tends to take this approach, as there's a bit where Dabi gets upset that Geten's ice keeps blocking their way on a mission, while Geten gripes about Dabi almost destroying the place.
there's also one of geten's few casual conversations in ultra impact, where toga asks if the reason he likes iced coffee year round is to "stockpile more ice", to which he responds with silence.
The reason I think this is interesting is because of the nature of Geten's quirk. He's got an emitter that manipulates matter, and it honestly seems like he's not utilizing the ice the most efficiently when you consider how much more he could do with less if he just used it a bit more precisely. He could save himself a lot of strain (and we know these herculean feats cause strain, as seen by his struggle pushing the ice up at Deika) if he was a bit more focused. He's taking a lot of that energy cost up front by hoarding his ice early in-- which is counterintuitive to how his quirk works, since unlike Todoroki, he doesn't make his own ice. Carrying around ice he may or may not need is just inefficient, (especially because he has to keep it from melting!) and not something you would expect from a soldier focused on elevating their quirk to the highest. Think about Hawks; Hawks tries to use as few feathers to do as much as possible, and with as much precision as he can, because he suffers a loss of mobility and physical protection without them on his body, similarly to how Geten is reliant in battle on his ice for the same things (which is why both Machia and Cementoss take him out by targeting his body itself)
But it IS behavior you would expect from a stockpiling transformation quirk like Re-Destro's. Re-Destro's main moves are augmenting his body (especially making them bigger) and throwing off massive waves of stress: and he has to have that stocked up in advance, since unlike with Geten's ice, he really doesn't have the benefit of easy environmental access. Re-Destro's a tank, no doubt about it, and his hardest hitting moves always focus on pushing out more power. If he's the one handling most of Geten's training, it makes sense that Geten would inadvertently use his quirk like Re-Destro's, despite the differences in their mechanics and the advantages/disadvantages therein. In a way, Geten is being held back by Re-Destro's training because he's not exploring the full extent of his actual capabilities, just the extent of how much lifting he can do with that absolute psychic machine of a brain he has.
also he's like three apples tall, he cannot tank it out, someone help him, he keeps getting smacked around like a little bug,
#bnha#redestro#geten#rikiya yotsubashi#welcome back to i overanalyze things#he loves to hit it till it dies but sometimes it doesnt die :(

Hori gave Mina a half assed "revenge" plot with Midnight's killer that amounted to her giving him a talk no jutsu that failed and then Hori let her defeat the slime villain and melt some of Machia's claws.
Mina's character was treated like a joke because that's exactly what she was.
Yeah mina ashido was robbed of a good character arc and honestly horikoshi fumbled with her.
Look I don't mind her having a revenge plot that can evolve to something more. Heck I don't even mind if her arc starts out incredibly late in the story after she experiences something incredibly challenging but what I do mind is the execution of whatever arc she had.
Cool she is supposed to have a revenge plot because she wants to avenge midnight but the problem is that we barely see midnight having an established mentor and mentee relationship with either momo or mina so all of that falls apart. For it to work you need to give mina meaningful screentime with midnight!!
After that we need to see some of mina's thoughts. After the war arc we can tell that mina has become quite overprotective over her classmates repeatedly saying that she doesn't want to lose anyone else and that everyone is precious to her. This is why we see her being most emotional during the vigilante arc and the UA traitor arc.
Now Iam gonna spin her arc a bit but cool midnight dies, mina is effected by it, she slowly starts to lose sleep over it and slowly starts to plan her revenge. Iida (class president and someone who went through the same thing) actually notices mina and confronts her about it. She after this confrontation doesn't back down and iida obviously expresses worry over what she is planning to do which she says she will try and handle it own because she doesn't wanna lose anyone.
After that conversation it's revealed that yuuga is the UA traitor and this puts some more emotions onto mina heck maybe she even starts to somewhat resent him and blame him for midnight's death. However, as the situation unfolds she slowly starts to realise that revenge wouldn't help her in anyway and that clinging to the people she has left and protecting them is what's best for her.
However, she acknowledges this later onto the battle while trying to get her revenge but instead of choosing to kill the people who killed midnight she notices that kirishima is struggling and helps to protect him instead

That's kind of the thing I think hori was trying to go for (maybe 🤷♀️ or maybe not) and this post is Hella rushed so Iam gonna make a wasted potential post on her.

Any predictions for how the next Todofam chapter will go? The two week break has already beaten me down 😭🔫
You aren't the only one! I'm worried as well!
As for the predictions... they're probably not what many expect.
Premise, I'm not Horikoshi, I'm not even Japanese and I'm just speculating so I might be wrong but here are my two cents on the future.
Let's start with Enji.
I know many hope he will be punished for what he did to his family but I think it's safe enough to assume this won't be the case.
Rei, Fuyumi, Natsuo and Shouto aren't interested in dragging him to a trial, if they do nothing, there's no reason for the police to act. They will just judge it a private family business and let it slide (which yes, happens in Japan). I honestly doubt Rei is interested in asking for a divorce so there probably won't be a divorce.
At most they'll live in separate residences.
If there will be a punishment, it will be in having to deal for the rest of his life on the consequences his actions had on Touya.
As I said in another post I think the Todorokis contribution to the final battle helped them to stop being social outcasts due to what Touya did, especially Enji and Shouto's final stand against All for One (for more explanations about why they risked ending up as such read this).
I think they won't use Eri or Overhaul's power to regrow Enji's arm and I'm not sure the scarring the Todorokis received when they attempt to stop Touya will be erased.
There's to say while in real life scarring is a source of social rejection, in BNHA Shouto was considered an ikemen despite his scarring, so I don't think it'll be a problem that will cause them to become social outcasts.
Differently from Aoyama, Shouto didn't mention he'll have to leave U.A. high, so I think the Todorokis will be mostly fine.
Will Enji drop his job?
I don't think they'll ask him to do so, as they are in need of strong Heroes... and by serving as a Hero he keeps on atoning to society.
If he'll do, it'll be of his own will, likely in atonement (when you screw up doing your job, in Japan is common to resign... Enji didn't exactly screw up as a Hero, just as a father but it's still something he might feel he'll have to do) or due to the wound he received... which actually aren't serious for BNHA standards (considering they can regrow arms, restart a heart with no damage for the brain despite it having been stopped for likely more than 3/4 minures and that a meeting up close with Dabi's very hot fire didn't cremate Hawks on the spot nor caused his vital organs to be damaged after a few minutes which would have lead to his death and so on) but Horikoshi can change the rules if he wants to. After all Enji is shown sitting on a wheelchair, wearing bandages and in what looks like hospital pajamas so who knows what's his exact physical state. He has the highest fire resistance but he was also the closest to Touya so he might not be well.

I guess what everyone wants to know is what will happen to Touya (and consequently to the rest of the league as I think the league will end up with the same fate).
Chapter 425 shows Enji watching someone.

I'll be surprised if that someone isn't Touya.
Now...
The most realistic scenario is Touya and the rest of the league will be jailed into Tartarus or the new prison equivalent to it and sentenced to death as BNHA has death as one of the available punishments (I'm not saying this is what I want for them, just that it's more likely).
The only ones who can hope to get some leniency are Himiko, who's still a minor and saved Uraraka and, ironically, Machia, who, despite having the highest death count of all of them, helped the Heroes fight All for One which, in manga and anime, is always a good reason to give a character a lot of leniency. In real life relevant cooperation can spare you from death sentence if you make an agreement first... which Machia didn't but that's usually not a manga/anime problem. If a story decides you were helpful and heroic enough and you didn't end up killed, they might hand you a free pass card... which was why I was hoping the league would turn against All for One. It would have helped a lot their case.
They didn't though.
By all account the league kept fighting until they were stopped and I honestly doubt society cares about their motives.
Still, I think the idea is that the Todorokis are going to meet Touya, that that's why Shouto said he'll go to the farewell party as long as it isn't today and then left, because he's going to meet his brother and, with him, likely will come Natsuo, Fuyumi and Rei.
This was, after all what was hinted in the final preview sentence, 'The Todoroki family faces...'
The perspective in the image is... weird because it seems they're keeping Touya vertical instead than horizontal, which reminds me of when the characters met up with prisoners.
The window is different from the ones in Tartarus (but also from the one in Central Hospital) however Enji seems wearing hospital pajamas.
I don't think they would have carried him to a prison to meet his son in pajamas.
Also I don't think Horikoshi will be so morbid as to show us Touya being executed, so that he's about to give his last salute to his family before being killed off. If he dies, it's probably because they'll fail to keep him alive as they did with Nighteye. If that's the case it would probably be another case of 'we could save his soul, not his life' like with Shigaraki.
Long story short. I like to think/hope he's in a hospital (maybe a Villain hospital but still a hospital) and they're probably either curing him or just keeping him alive.

I said the perspective is weird so I might be mistaken and Touya is actually lying down and being operated or something as there are cables coming out his chest.
In severe burn cases the patient might be put into coma until he's better, so it's also possible that's what's going on and the fact the Todoroki family would face him only now might mean they had to wait for Touya to wake up.
The fact they're giving him medical care doesn't necessarily means things will be okay. As I said I guess the general idea is to jail and kill the league off.
Considering how long All for One was kept alive (he's captured in August, he escaped at the end of March) despite everyone knowing who he was to the point they jail him in a special detention center without a trial or sentencing... (chap 94)
...this might mean they'll stay jailed for a long time before being killed. Well... maybe the Heroes managed to plea for their lives so they won't be killed. I don't think they'll be give the chance to get some form of house arrest, even if I would love if this were to be the case.
Unless this mini arc is going to give the league a chance to socially redeem themselves, I doubt their fate will be different, though there's a huge chance this mini arc is just to show us the Heroes saving mystery guy who looks like Edward Scissorhands before he'll become a Villain... as to say it's too late to save the League but now the Heroes might save other people from following their fate.
So if the League's fate is going to stay jailed and possibly end up executed in a future we won't see... or stay jailed and be spared.
Japan isn't big on psychological aid, so I genuinely doubt Horikoshi will have someone say 'let's send them to therapy'.
So... if that's Touya's fate, why Horikoshi kept him alive? Isn't this depressing and cruel? What's the point?
This is the point:
We have Tobita's family kicking him out of the house for what is really just a mistake in judgement, we've Himiko's family calling her a demon child (with Himiko being forced to escape) for something she couldn't control, neither of them back then causing someone to die and then... we've the Todoroki family being still willing to be with Touya despite what he had done.
For many of us, what the Todorokis do would be normal... but the Tobitas and the Togas show instead what's supposed to be the norm in the BNHA world (and in Japan). If you commit a crime even your family will turn against you and kick you out.
So the fact that the Todoroki family, who could be socially pardoned, isn't willing to cut strings with Touya despite him being jailed and possibly sentenced to death, likely gives a strong, hopeful, positive message to Japanese readers.
To us it mostly fall flat because we've plenty of families who, despite their relatives' crimes, they don't stop loving them and will still visit them.
Likely that's the positive spin Horikoshi wanted to give to the whole story, that the Todoroki family will be there for Touya, Rei and Enji even apologized to him instead than doing like Himiko's parents, claiming they did all they could but Himiko was just a demon child.
In Japan this is BIG. In the west this is... often normal.
It's similar to how Midoriya saves Shigaraki's soul and we aren't impressed, but Japanese readers are.
In the western culture when someone dies, at most, we only worry about the soul regretting his wrongdoings or he’ll end in hell (that and that he won’t look deserving of being forgiven by the audience if he doesn’t regret them).
In Japan, when someone dies in a violent way including murder or suicide or dies leaving behind unfinished business or do not receive appropriate funeral rites upon their death, they believe his spirit remains trapped in the world of living and can’t move on and this is torture for said soul.
So the idea that Shigaraki's soul was soothed, that was put to rest, is really important and equates to salvation in a Japanese mind-setting... but, to us, it's only a last smile before death.
BNHA is a work that talk about Japanese society so, differently from other mangas, it strongly relies on Japanese society rules which are different from ours, which leads us to react differently from the intended audience.
Anyway... I really, really hope things will go different for Touya, but I expect the most we'll have about the Todoroki family will be that, the family is socially forgiven except for Touya but, despite this, they'll remain close to him.
Likely they'll also keep working to atone to society.
I don't dare to hope for more, actually probably Horikoshi will likely be stretching things (if not outright retconning them) because it was established it was hard to visit prisoners in Tartarus, meetings needed to be set up and All Might of all the people couldn't just drop by to meet up with Stain, no, they need to set up a meeting in order to allow people to visit prisoners (never mentioning Tartarus was blamed of violation of human right and keeps its prisoners tied... only for the ties to come away during the escape)...
...but the story will likely paint as easy for the Todoroki to meet Touya (after all Uraraka planned to meet Himiko in jail to give her blood donation... how I don't know since Himiko would have probably been kept tied and behind a glass window) but I already knows it'll feel depressing because, for me, it's nowhere near enough and I really hope I'm wrong and we'll get a more positive ending for the family.
I just fear Horikoshi won't feel like stretching things that much as, currently, there's no hint society is willing to also take the blame for the reasons why the league decided being a Villain was their best option instead than becoming Hikikomori, Jōhatsu or Toyoko Kids or something like that... or just follow Shōji's path and endure the abuse, hide the scars and become upstanding citizens in hope this will change the world.
Likely the world will somehow change but this will likely regard the future.
So for my standards the future of the Todoroki family is pretty sad... but likely for the Japanese audience the Todoroki family will be more a role model of how a family shouldn't leave behind his family members even if they make mistakes. We'll see though. Sorry for the depressing thoughts and thank you for your ask.

Cruella De Vil AU! Does Yoichi get mistaken for a sickly cub and gets adopted by a bunch of white tigers?
For new people the premise of this AU is that AFO is an ordinary if corrupt fashion CEO obsessed with making a coat from a white tiger. Your idea actually ties in very well with the events as I imagined them:
-AFO sends his minions to the jungle to hunt the tiger because he's way too important to do it himself. The minions are Machia and Garaki and they can't stand each other.
-Yoichi shows up just behind them to warn park ranger Second about the tiger poachers. Then Yoichi insists on coming along to stop them. Second tries to dissuade him, but Yoichi says he will go into the jungle himself if Second doesn't let him come along. Second considers how much trouble it would be if a Japanese tourist died in the jungle and reluctantly agrees.
-Yoichi thinks that he knows all about wilderness survival from his comics. In fact, Yoichi's comics taught him useless stuff like "moss grows on the north sides of trees" and nothing about proper footwear for jungles or that monkeys bite if you try to pet them. In most of my AUs, Second immediately simps over Yoichi. But this is the AU where Second spends the whole trip longing to ship Yoichi back to Japan in a cardboard box. Yoichi thinks that park rangers are amazingly cool and spends the whole trip trying and miserably failing to impress his new crush. (It's okay, Second will eventually start to find the stupidity endearing. Yoichi is lucky that he is pretty.)
-Second gets in a pitched battle with poachers Garaki and Machia. He's down with a bullet in the shoulder, then Yoichi uses a hairspray and matches to create a miniature flamethrower and send the poachers' jeep over a cliff. This is the moment when Second falls in love. Unfortunately Yoichi falls off the cliff too.
-When a very worried Second tracks Yoichi down, he's in a cave surrounded by two mated female tigers and their cubs. Yoichi believes that his awesome comic book wilderness abilities have successfully tamed the tigers. Actually the tigers have mistaken him for a sickly cub and are trying to nurse him back to health. (Yes, I know this is not how tigers work but this is crack.)
-The tigers are Second's adopted family. He was raised by tigers in the jungle since he was a baby Mowgli-style, and the tigers adopted Yoichi partly because he smells like their son/big brother. (This is the rare AU where Second is not afraid of cats, but cats are afraid of him because he smells like tiger.) Second spends a lot of time persuading his Moms to let Yoichi go by promising to look after the weak little cub and bring him for visits.
-Yoichi sends his big brother lots of pictures posing with tigers and brags about how having a living tiger is way cooler than a coat. This launches AFO's epic obsession with getting a pet white tiger. Which is at least better than him trying to kill tigers, so...happy ending?

has there been a time where spinners shown actually killing anyone on-panel/screen? i feel like we havent really seen his “violent” or “evil” side much at all
Nope! iirc, we've never seen Spinner outright kill someone on-panel/onscreen. The closest we get is in My Villain Academia, where he's just one more League member massacring the CRC, though we don't actually see him performing the act:
In the beginning of Chapter 220, Twice, Toga, Compress, and Shigaraki are all messily killing/injuring the CRC people, but in Spinner's panel, we don't see a victim, or even blood.
On the next page, we see him standing among bodies, but we can't be sure that he actually killed anyone. It's at most implied.
Later during the Deika battle, in Chapter 233, he does slice at one attacker in what appears to be the neck area:
No idea if that man survived.
But even in the Deika battle, he doesn't seem to have actually killed anyone, or even "taken a single one out," as pointed out by Dabi in Chapter 227.
When Chapter 372 of the heteromorph mini-arc occurred, people accused Spinner of running over and killing the human chain of doctors and nurses, but as I point out in this post, he was heading in the exact opposite direction of where the medical workers were standing, so no one died there either. Wasn't even injured! Proven correct in Chapter 424, where Bakugou's doctors is one of those in the human chain and is okay:

The most violent Spinner has been is during the Training Camp Raid, where he shows up stepping on an injured Pixie-Bob (who was attacked by Magne), attacks Mandalay with his Super Knife-Knife Sword, and threatens Heroes and Iida with purging.

There is of course him having never protested Shigaraki's destruction or the PLF's plots or done more than given a grimace at Machia's rampage, where surely died/would've died in those events.
Other than that... Yeah, compared to the League, Spinner doesn't have much of a violent/evil side, and actions are consistent with someone who had no criminal record in his 20 years of life until joining the League.
Thanks for the ask!

Thelreads, MHA 304, Replies Part 1
1) “Last time Midoriya was in a zoom meeting with the rest of the Alliance of dead good guys, and today it seems we’re gonna find out what they are talking, on chapter 304: Izuku Midoriya and Toshinori Yagi
Uhhh, ominous~”- They’re talking good news, bad news, and worrisome news. Good news: Izuku’s not gonna die naturally before he’s in his 20s Bad news: He doesn’t get to pass the buck of putting a stop to AFO’s plans to anybody else, unlike his predecessors – either he puts a stop to this generations-long battle, or he loses it once and for all Worrisome News: His spirit mentors are not quite squeaky-clean upstanding heroes, and are in fact the kind of guys who will be down for killing a dude if that saves the day, whether or not Izuku’s cool with that himself. 2) “Uhhhhhh… this, doesn’t seems good. I thought Midoriya was talking with the previous holders, why is the power so faint then?”- It’s faint cause, technically, Yagi’s not meant to have any such power himself- even this tenuous connection to OFA and his own shade within it are things that shouldn’t be possible for a naturally-born Quirkless individual to have. Heck, I’m betting that Yagi can only “feel” what he does because he’s in direct contact with Izuku – unlike the past holders being always connected to him through his shade-self, he in turn can’t sense anything or get a grasp of the mental realm that Izuku shares with them, thus in turn preventing him from being in constant communication with Izuku as a result. 3) “Oh sure, ask about fucking Manual and Rock lock, but not your teacher Midnight, sure, fuck it I suppose.”- To be fair to Izuku, there are all the heroes around him at Jaku hospital – he didn’t have time to process the implications of Machia showing up to help bail out Shigaraki from Izuku’s smackdown of him 4) “OH BOY HERE WE GO
I RECOGNIZE SOME OF THOSE, THE FIRST ONE, THE HELLBOY SPIDERMAN, NANA, AND OF COURSE THE GHOST OF ALL MIGHT, THE OTHER ONES ARE NEWS
…
WHY ARE THOSE TWO BLAIR WITCHING IN THE CORNER? WHAT DID THEY DO WRONG?”- My question is- which of them came up with the designs for these sick-ass chairs? Somebody’s got a taste for drama amongst these guys. 5) “I wonder what caused that, was it Midoriya almost dying so many times that the reaper decided to call it quits and lifted the veil between the two sides?”- That, and Horikochi deciding it’d be more convenient going into this final battle to not necessitate Izuku be beaten half unconscious every time he needs a strategy meeting with his ghost buddies. 6) “The singularity speed up, and this is a bit worrisome, because if it maintains the same rate of growth, well… I don’t think there’s enough space on Midoriya’s head for so many people”- Well, at least part of that is AFO accidentally improving Izuu’s connection to OFA through trying to rip it out of his soul with blasting equipment, thus clearing the path for easier communication with them. From AFO himself as a baseline, it’s actually possible to store hundreds, if not thousands of Quirks without your own head going “pop” from all those consciousness in there. Befitting All Might’s statement way back in the starting chapters, AFO’s unintentionally made Izuku stronger and more powerful from his own attempts to remove his source of strength – now Izuku doesn’t need guesswork and working it out on the fly to get a handle on the prior user’s Quirks, the old guard themselves can directly advise him on how to utilise them. 7) “Do you even need a mouth here midoriya? This is the mindscape, they probably can read your thoughts.”- It did seem like Hellboy had issues figuring out Izuku’s actual words and such without a physical mouth to voice them – after all, he’s the one most pleased that Izuku’s finally developing his mental avatar enough to reach the point of full physical projection in this realm. (MHA ch 287) 8) “OH HOLY SHIT HE STOOD UP AND JUMPED IN
HE’S GONNA RIP AFO’S THROAT OUT WITH HIS OWN TEETH
AND HE DOESN’T EVEN HAVE TEETH IN THIS PLACE”-Turns out he was manifesting them underneath the smoke, apparently in pure need of something to attack AFO with. 9) “Oh wait I do remember that. So that was a quirk, not just Midoriya’s sense going into overdrive due to one for all?
Also I see you’re a jokester. Ha. ha. funny guy.”- I mean, technically, Danger Sense does work in tandem with all of OFA’s enhancements to increase Izuku’s physical senses to the point he can withstand the immense force he generates – zipping around at high speeds requires a corresponding level of special awareness to avoid injuring yourself, and Danger Sense being likewise enhanced by that means Izuku’s sense are now so fine-tuned he can’t get taken by surprise anymore. And of course this guy’s the jokester, he’s got the Spider-Sense quirk. 10) “Huh, considering he can sense danger, then I understand why he wouldn’t want to be around others. His quirk probably went ballistic due to one for all, it was probably hell.”- There’s also the fact that Shinomori was being hunted by AFO all the time when the Quirk was still somewhat “weak”, too limited in scope to be able to stand up to his power-head-on, and AFO was establishing his long-standing criminal empire all over the place – of course Danger Sense would be going nuts all the time, everybody around him was a potential source of danger that could lead AFO to him.
That said given Shinomori can also use Danger Sense to dodge Banjo’s attempts to be close and chummy with him, it might also be the case that Shinomori’s a wierdo who defines any sort of human contact as a personal danger, hence why his quirk warns him about well-meaning actions like that. 11) “…
Ooooookay now things are definitely getting fucked.
Oh no. OH NO.
He was the fourth one, one for all was not even that strong, but he still had his lifespan cut by half?
Oh jesus fuck
Well, All Might is past his 40s, sure, but that means he can fall dead any second now. I wonder if he didn’t died earlier due to the fact he was quirkless, if that was the case then he might get to his 60-70s and Midoriya probably will get to his 50s before the quirk kills him”- Luckily, by pure chance Izuku and Yagi succeeded in dodging that bullet, but it has interesting bearings in some of the interquel movies that Horikoshi’s helped writ up, even if the canonicity of them is debated. In “Heroes Rising”, in order to overcome the movie’s main villain in the climatic clash, Izuku goes to the extreme of transferring OFA into Bakugou to empower him against the Villain, whilst he utilises the embers of it like All Might did to keep up. However, in the aftermath, All Might discovers that OFA didn’t stay within Bakugou’s body, and instead reversed the transference back to Izuku, seemingly of its own accord (aided by the fact Bakugou was subconsciously rejecting keeping the Quirk, not wanting to accept it in such a manner from Izuku once the need for it had passed). After all, there’s nothing that says a holder of the power can’t enable the reverse of OFA’s transference should the same conditions be applicable to the prior holder as well (Izuku completed the conditions by grasping Bakugou’s bloody hand with his own, mixing their blood from their injuries together inside them both). Whilst it’s unclear how sentient the vestiges were inside OFA, with this inside understanding that passing OFA into anyone but Izuku is a death sentence, it’s likely that the Vestages helped the reverse transference to avoid burning up Bakugou’s lifespan as well, hence why his Quirk didn’t mix/get assimilated with OFA as well. 12) “Well that much we already knew, All might showed that without preparation Midoriya would blow up, and even after that much training his body kept trying to eject his limbs whenever he used it
Considering that much of stress apparently wasn’t the case when All Might took it, then the requirements escalated after his time with the quirk, which means Midoriya might not find someone that can wield such power. But that still leaves the possibility he’ll give the quirk to AfO and blow him up with the sheer amount of power.”-Assuming Tomura’s new body even can be blown up anymore. AFO’s spent a lifetime prepping himself to handle power beyond what his old decrepit shell of a body could, and whilst it’s still up in the air, the possibility that Tomura is strong enough to house both Quirks together within him and wield the god-like power that results from both can’t be discounted. If the vestiges could have been reliably assured that AFO would die from over-consuming more power than he can withstand, they’d have forced a transference themselves directly to finish him off for good, but now that the Quirk’s strong enough to achieve that, AFO’s already moved into the next step of ensuring that the vessel he possesses can’t fall prey to such a clichéd villainous downfall.
13) “Which means that both All Might and Midoriya aren’t safe. Sure, they don’t have their own quirks, but they did wield multiple ones for years.”- The inverse actually. The fact they don’t have natural Quirks to begin with is precisely what gives them the “space” to utilise multiple abilities and strengths beyond what any natural Quirk-Holder in the present-day can.
