This is just your daily reminder that physical media is VERY IMPORTANT (especially now) and if you can, you SHOULD BUY YOUR FAVORITE MOVIES AND ALBUMS
This is also your daily reminder to TRY AMD GET PHYSICAL MEDIA SECONDHAND IF YOU CAN! Not only is it much cheaper, but you also don't put hard earned money back into the hands of Amazon or other corporations trying to take over the media landscape!
I personally use Thriftbooks! Its a really nice site with a bazillion books and dvds and blurays and stuff. If you shop around right, you can get movies and books and stuff for around $5 (which, compared to the $16 you have to spend on ONE BOOK FIRSTHAND now is mind blowing).
PHYSICAL MEDIA IS IMPORTANT!! OWN YOUR BOOKS AND MOVIES AND MUSIC!! BUY THEM SECONDHAND!! ITS MUCH HARDER FOR THEM TO TAKE AWAY YOUR MEDIA IF THEY HAVE TO PHYSICALLY COME TO YOU AND FIND IT!!!

oh i think i figured out how to articulate something???
#posting this in faith that if anybody i know in real life sees this to please not acknowledge it or think about it too deeply#but it is weird having only two very very close long time friends and both are in relationships#and i am very aroace and sex/romance repulsed at that#but i also do really wish for platonic affection like being able to hug or lean on friends very simple things like that#but also touch is weird for me and i never really learned how to not feel gross about it etc#so it is not like i ever would have asked anyways#but it is harder when both are in relationships because people generally get physical affection from their partners#so if i ask ‘’hey is it okay if i lean/hug’’ it feels like this massive overstep of boundaries#so it feels like people i know get to have the benefit of friendship and partners and have everything met in that regard#and i probably never will get comfortable with platonic physical affection because its just not really an option#and obviously i have zero desire to seek out new people#so it just kind of leaves me like 🧍#even if people do initiate like a hug or something i never return it because it feels like i am not allowed#which is my own hang up and always has been since forever#i never got used to physical contact because it wasn’t really for me when i was a kid except for when i was being forced to hug a family#member as greetings and whatnot#anyways these are just some very late night weird thoughts that might be insane mostly i am curious if any other aroace people deal with#this. and i assume the answer is probably because this is the life is a nightmare identity#(half joking the freedom of it is a very nice aspect)#anyways like i said i have always been super weird about touch and i never in a million years would have asked for it or#actively seeked it out anyways#it is just especially weird now due to an additional circumstance

desegregate all sports now. no more gendered sports. its stupid
if you absolutely must, in primarily muscle force-based sports, create competitive classes like in boxing except separated by body comp, not just pure body weight. i mean, if you must. this will eliminate any tiny advantages in muscle mass. some will say basketball should have height classes but frankly some of the NBA's most impressive players were not tall so idk that this actually matters ever
the primary athletic impediment to all women is overwhelmingly cultural and psychological. i have won probably half the physical competitions with cis men that i have engaged in, friendly or otherwise. even without the benefit of a lifetime of people trying to make me throw or hit balls, i have won wrestling matches, sparring matches, funny backyard foam sword fights, video games, equestrian activities, dance, endurance tests of various kinds, etc. i'm small and weak. men think theyre stronger and more skilled than they are, women think the opposite about themselves
humans just arent that differently-sized or -shaped, as a species. we have almost no sexual dimorphism at all compared to the vast majority of other mammals.
animals that have similar levels of sexual dimorphism to humans, for example cats, dogs, and horses, do not generally have competitive events segregated by sex. the dog agility trials dont normally have separate leagues for male and female dogs (gendered competitions exist they're just unusual). because it doesnt matter. there is no kentucky derby 2 just for girl horses. thats not a thing
remove all gendered categories from online shopping websites and universalize clothing and shoe sizing. im sick of having to search two entirely different sections of ebay when im just trying to find a nice velvet loafer in size 39 EU. what the hell is "women's clothing"
