She's the one who insisted on turning on the camera. Yeah, ‘cause I thought it would make you leave me alone.

The other day I watched pride and prejudice 2005 for the 2nd time and I can’t stop thinking about it đŸ«
I fell in love with Mr Darcy’s and Elizabeth’s stolen glances at each other and especially the most BEAUTIFUL QUOTE EVER
“U have bewitched me body and soulâ€đŸ˜«đŸ˜«đŸ˜«
PLEASE LET ME FIND A MAN WHICH WILL DESCRIBE HIS LOVE FOR ME LIKE THIS đŸ™ŒđŸ»
Anyways let me know if you have any thoughts on it as well
Or even let me know if you noticed any parallels

WAIT i also want a polin au where the featherington sisters have a close relationship, maybe because they all understand what it means to be all daughters of a less than popular barony. With a neglectful dad and a mom putting pressure on all of them, they turn to each other to confide their worries and stuff. It’s just an overall sweet relationship. They don’t show affection in public, since their Mama tells them it was unbecoming to show affection in public. Portia loves her daughters very much, she just has some issues regarding showing affection.
They all probably figured out that Pen is LW, with their relationship being so close, it was easy to figure out who LW is. They didn’t confront or stop her, mostly because they saw how much pride and fun Pen is having with it.
Prudence and Philippa, as the two oldest, dotes on and are protective of Pen (Felicity too if we wanted), because they understand that Pen loves deeply. They can see it through her actions, her kindness and her people pleasing (i.e. her relationship with Eloise). That’s why they’re so concerned when they noticed how much Pen adores Colin, and subtly discourage her from holding those feelings. They know the Bridgertons are bad news to them. They all might be part of the Ton, but they’re different compared to their families.
Prudence always watches Pen and Colin like a hawk, which is kind of why she’s not really married yet. She wants to make sure that Colin doesn’t do any funny business to Pen. So when Pen confesses about what she heard Colin say at their ball and (and also confesses about Eloise and the LW business), Prudence was livid. Was about to march into Bridgerton house and everything. But Philippa, the voice of reason, points out that they don’t have any power compared to the Bridgertons. So Prudence doesn’t and instead starts scheming on how to best protect their little sister.
They also say little lies to Portia, just so Pen can finally wear what she likes. Portia finally gives their opinions some value, since they’re married women at this point. They know Pen hates her clothes, and finally not being under their mother’s thumb, they can finally help Pen in some way.
Anyway, the next season, Pru and Pip finally decides to show just how close they are. Finally married (and recruiting their husbands into being protective of Pen), they do everything they can to run interference whenever Pen is about to have some time with Eloise and Colin.
What they don’t realize, is that Pen is also greatly adored by the Bridgertons, and so clearly wished and expected Pen to join them soon (once Colin pulls his head out of ass LMAO) so they also try to interfere when Pru and Pip tries to take Pen out of talking with Colin.
Honestly, i just want a Prudence and Anthony stand off as both the eldest Featherington sibling and the eldest Bridgerton sibling. I think it would be funny.

Jane Austen associating the word "rational" with women over six books:
Do not consider me now as an elegant female, intending to plague you, but as a rational creature, speaking the truth from her heart. - Elizabeth Bennet, Pride & Prejudice
“But I hate to hear you talking so like a fine gentleman, and as if women were all fine ladies, instead of rational creatures. We none of us expect to be in smooth water all our days.” - Mrs. Croft, Persuasion
She dearly loved her father, but he was no companion for her. He could not meet her in conversation, rational or playful. - Emma Woodhouse, Emma
“Oh! never, never, never! he never will succeed with me.” And she spoke with a warmth which quite astonished Edmund, and which she blushed at the recollection of herself, when she saw his look, and heard him reply, “Never! Fanny!—so very determined and positive! This is not like yourself, your rational self.” Fanny Price, Mansfield Park (we know that this is very much her rational self, also after a marriage proposal)
Elinor agreed to it all, for she did not think he deserved the compliment of rational opposition. -Elinor Dashwood, Sense & Sensibility
You talked of expected horrors in London—and instead of instantly conceiving, as any rational creature would have done, that such words could relate only to a circulating library, - Henry Tilney, teasing his sister, Northanger Abbey

~ ♔ Olga and Tatiana Nikolaevna x Jane and Elizabeth Bennett ♔ ~
“They were in fact very fine ladies; not deficient in good humour when they were pleased, nor in the power of being agreeable where they chose it; but proud and conceited. They were rather hand-some; had been educated in one of the first private seminaries in town, had a fortune of twenty thousand pounds, were in the habit of spending more than they ought, and of associating with people of rank; and were therefore in every respect entitled to think well of themselves, and meanly of others.” - Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
“Olga was perhaps the cleverest ot them all, her mind being so quick to grasp ideas, so absorbent of knowledge that she learned almost without application or close study. Her chief characteristics, I should say, were a strong will and a singularly straightforward habit of thought and action . . . Of all the Grand Duchesses Tatiana was with the people the most popular, and I suspect in their hearts she was the most dearly loved of her parents. Certainly she was a difterent type from the others even in appearance, her hair being a rich brown and her eyes so darkly gray that in the evening they seemed quite black.” - Anna Vyrubova

Constance Bennett - The Hollywood Fox
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Constance Campbell Bennett (born in New York City on October 22, 1904) was an American actress born to an aristocratic family of actors of English and Spanish ancestry. Blonde, stunning and honey-voiced, she glided through Hollywood with a sprite-like lightness and definite air of style and sophistication, receiving the moniker, "The Hollywood Fox."
The eldest of three daughters of actress Adrienne Morrison and actor Richard Bennett, she attended the Chapin School in New York along with her sisters Joan Bennett and Barbara Bennett, both of whom were actresses.
She was first Bennett sister to enter motion pictures, appearing in New York–produced silent movies before a meeting with Samuel Goldwyn led to her Hollywood debut in 1924. She took a hiatus during a brief marriage, but resumed it after her divorce.
In the early 1930s, Bennett was frequently among the top actresses named in audience popularity and box-office polls due to hits like Topper (1937). Her contracts with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Warner Brothers, and RKO made her a big star in Hollywood, and her cutthroat contract negotiations earned her the sole female spot among Hollywood’s poker-playing elite comprised of top movie moguls.
By the 1940s, Bennett was working less frequently in film but was in demand in both radio and theatre, and she also formed her own production company, Constance Bennett Pictures, which produced two films. Nonetheless, shrewd investments made her a wealthy woman, even founding a cosmetics and clothing company, called "Fashion Focks."
Shortly after Madame X (1966) was completed, Bennett collapsed and died from a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 60 in Walston Army Hospital at Fort Dix, New Jersey. In recognition of her military contributions, and as the wife of John Theron Coulter, who had achieved the rank of brigadier general, she was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
Legacy:
Won the Photoplay Awards - Best Performances of the Month in April 1925
Was the highest-paid actress in Hollywood during the early 1930s
Founded the Constance Bennett Cosmetics Company and a clothing company called "Fashion Frocks" in the 1930s
Formed her own production company, Constance Bennett Pictures, which produced two films: Paris Underground (1945) and Smart Woman (1948)
Made smart business investments, including holding stocks in the historic Arrowhead Springs Hotel
Awarded military honors for her role in coordinating shows flown to Europe for occupying troops (1946-48) and the Berlin Airlift (1948-49)
Nominated as the Hall of Fame: Actress Award in the 1978 Photoplay Awards
Has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6250 Hollywood Boulevard for motion picture

Keith vs. Brom
I love comparing Keith and Brom because on the very first glance they seem like Gabe playing the same character (dumb jock, incompetent but filled with undeserved confidence, regressed to/stuck in ye olde' glory days while hung up on an ex-girlfriend, ironically "woke" dialogue, I could go on) but the moment you dig past the surface, they're actually opposites.
Keith, bless him, is just unfiltered id. Everything he says or does goes back to an agenda simply labeled "Keith." Even the feminist talk is just about sucking up to Gwen or sounding like a good guy. Insecurity, social alienation, childhood success, and that fame's immediate end after Cluebert's brutal murder have left him broken, shallow, and likely too stuck in the past to ever meaningfully change. He craves the love of Gwen and the rest of the Solve-It Squad in a life otherwise so empty and devoid of meaningful connection.
But Brom, for all his shortcomings, genuinely wants to do good for its own sake. He might not understand all the intricacies of social justice, but he goes for it anyway because he knows it's right. When Matilda calls him out, he listens and successfully corrects himself so as to be a better man for those around him. He starts out as the self-absorbed "leader" he'd been socialized to be, but only really starts to shine and meaningfully lead (see his scenes with Judy and the Bards in the finale) when given the chance to truly make things about someone else (whether Matilda or Ichabod) for a change. Brom is in constant growth and motion, powered by a genuinely huge heart. He wants to love because he has so much love to give away to the people in his life.
(Also Brom might have almost drowned in a waterbed once, but I think he'd still kick Keith's ass.)
