How to Care for Your Skin in Summer: Tips from a Salon in Bengaluru
Summer in Bengaluru can be quite harsh on your skin, with intense heat and humidity taking a toll. Proper skin care during this season is crucial to maintain a healthy, glowing complexion. Here are some expert tips on how to care for your skin in summer.
Tumblr media
1. Stay Hydrated
Hydration is key to healthy skin. Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your skin hydrated from within. Dehydration can make your skin look dull and can exacerbate issues like acne and dryness. Incorporate hydrating foods like watermelon, cucumber, and oranges into your diet to boost your hydration levels.
2. Use Sunscreen Daily
Never skip your sunscreen. The sun's UV rays can cause severe damage, including sunburn, premature aging, and even skin cancer. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and apply it generously on all exposed skin. Reapply every two hours, especially if you’re spending extended periods outdoors.
3. Opt for a Lightweight Moisturizer
In summer, heavy moisturizers can feel greasy and clog pores. Instead, opt for a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer. Gel-based or water-based moisturizers are excellent choices as they hydrate your skin without leaving it oily. Look for products with ingredients like hyaluronic acid and aloe vera.
4. Cleanse Regularly
Sweat and excess oil production can lead to clogged pores and breakouts. Cleansing your face twice a day helps to remove dirt, oil, and impurities. Use a gentle, sulfate-free cleanser to avoid stripping your skin of its natural oils. If you have oily skin, consider using a cleanser with salicylic acid to keep your pores clear.
5. Exfoliate Weekly
Exfoliation is crucial to remove dead skin cells and prevent clogged pores. Use a gentle exfoliator once or twice a week. Over-exfoliating can irritate your skin, so be sure to follow up with a soothing moisturizer. Chemical exfoliants like AHAs and BHAs can be particularly effective for maintaining smooth, clear skin.
6. Protect Your Lips and Eyes
Your lips and the skin around your eyes are delicate and need extra care. Use a lip balm with SPF to prevent chapped lips and apply a hydrating eye cream to protect the sensitive skin around your eyes. Wearing sunglasses can also help protect your eyes from harmful UV rays and prevent squinting, which can lead to wrinkles.
7. Avoid Heavy Makeup
Heavy makeup can feel uncomfortable and clog your pores during the hot, humid summer months. Opt for minimal makeup or choose lightweight, non-comedogenic products. A tinted moisturizer or BB cream with SPF can provide light coverage while protecting your skin from the sun.
Caring for your skin in the summer involves a combination of hydration, protection, and using the right products. By following these tips, you can maintain healthy, radiant skin despite the harsh summer conditions in Bengaluru. Remember, consistency is key, so make these steps a part of your daily routine for the best results.

Your Ultimate Guide to Selecting the Best Face Makeup Products Online
Tumblr media
Introduction:
In the era of digital shopping, selecting the perfect face makeup products online can be both exciting and overwhelming. With countless options available at your fingertips, it's essential to navigate through the virtual beauty aisles wisely. This guide aims to help you make informed decisions and find the best face makeup products that suit your needs. Whether you're a makeup enthusiast or a novice, these tips will ensure you achieve a flawless look every time.
Research and Identify Your Skin Type:
The first step in selecting the best face makeup products is understanding your skin type. Whether you have oily, dry, combination, or sensitive skin, different products cater to specific needs. Look for makeup products designed to address your skin's unique requirements, ensuring a long-lasting and comfortable wear.
Know Your Undertone:
Understanding your undertone is crucial for choosing makeup products that complement your skin tone. Undertones are categorized as warm, cool, or neutral. Match your foundation, concealer, and other face makeup products to your undertone for a harmonious and natural finish.
Read Reviews and Ratings:
Before adding items to your virtual shopping cart, take advantage of customer reviews and ratings. Real-life experiences and feedback from other users can provide valuable insights into the effectiveness, texture, and longevity of the makeup products you're considering. Look for products with positive reviews to increase the likelihood of satisfaction.
Choose High-Quality Brands:
Opt for reputable and well-known brands when selecting face makeup products online. Established brands often invest in research and development to create high-quality formulations that cater to a diverse range of skin types. These products are more likely to be dermatologist-tested and approved.
Consider Multi-Functional Products:
To streamline your makeup routine, consider choosing multi-functional products that serve multiple purposes. For example, a BB cream with SPF can act as a foundation, moisturizer, and sun protection in one. This not only saves time but also helps create a more natural look.
Check for Inclusive Shade Ranges:
Diversity and inclusivity in shade ranges are essential when selecting face makeup products. Look for brands that offer a wide array of shades to ensure everyone can find a perfect match for their skin tone. This inclusivity is a positive step toward promoting beauty standards that cater to people of all ethnicities and backgrounds.
Take Advantage of Virtual Try-Ons:
Many online beauty retailers offer virtual try-on tools that allow you to visualize how a product will look on your face before purchasing. Utilize these features to see how different shades and products complement your skin tone and features.
Conclusion:
Selecting the best face makeup products online requires a thoughtful approach that considers your skin type, undertone, and personal preferences. By researching, reading reviews, and choosing high-quality brands, you can confidently build a makeup collection that enhances your natural beauty. Embrace the convenience of online shopping while making informed choices to achieve a flawless and radiant look every time you apply your favorite face makeup products.

The Differences Between Foundation, BB Cream, and CC Cream
In the world of makeup and skincare, there are numerous products designed to create a flawless complexion. Among the most popular choices are foundation, BB cream, and CC cream. While they might all seem like similar products at first glance, each one serves a unique purpose and offers distinct benefits. In this blog, we will explore the key differences between these three makeup essentials, helping you make an informed decision about which one suits your needs best.
Foundation
Foundation is the cornerstone of any makeup routine. As the name suggests, it lays the foundation for your overall look, providing an even base to build upon. Available in various formulations, including liquid, cream, powder, and stick, foundation offers customizable coverage to suit different skin types and preferences.
Coverage: Foundation provides a range of coverage options, from sheer to full, effectively concealing blemishes, redness, and other imperfections. Foundation can use different makeup tool, like airbrush. This makeup tool has pressurized technology to enhance the atomization function. It is more easier to penetrate into the skin.
Texture: The texture of foundation can be tailored to your skin type, whether dry, oily, or combination, ensuring a smooth and natural finish.
Skin Benefits: While some foundations offer added skincare ingredients, their primary purpose is to enhance the appearance of the skin rather than providing extensive nourishment.
Tumblr media
BB Cream (Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm)
BB cream emerged as a game-changer in the beauty industry, combining makeup and skincare in a single product. Originally developed to soothe and protect the skin after cosmetic procedures, BB cream gained immense popularity for its multitasking properties.
Coverage: BB cream provides a light to medium coverage, ideal for a natural, dewy look. It evens out the skin tone while allowing a hint of your natural beauty to shine through.
Skincare Benefits: Unlike regular foundations, BB creams often contain added skincare ingredients like antioxidants, vitamins, and SPF, offering hydration, sun protection, and anti-aging benefits.
Texture: BB cream generally has a lightweight texture, making it comfortable for everyday wear and suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
CC Cream (Color Correcting Cream)
CC cream takes the concept of BB cream one step further, focusing on color correction to address specific skin concerns, such as redness, discoloration, or dullness.
Coverage: CC cream provides moderate to full coverage, effectively camouflaging redness, dark spots, and other complexion issues.
Color Correction: The unique formulation of CC cream contains pigments that help neutralize uneven skin tones and create a balanced canvas.
Skincare Benefits: Like BB cream, CC cream often includes skincare ingredients, providing nourishment and protection to the skin while addressing specific color concerns.
Conclusion
In summary, foundation, BB cream, and CC cream are all valuable additions to your makeup collection, each catering to different needs and preferences. If you seek a customizable coverage option and a smooth canvas for your makeup, foundation is the way to go. For a lightweight, natural look with added skincare benefits, BB cream is an excellent choice. Finally, if color correction is your primary concern, CC cream will help you achieve a balanced and radiant complexion.

How To Choose The Best BB Cream For Your Skin Type
The multipurpose beauty balm known as BB creams has beyond the realm of skin care trends. These wonder balms have combined skincare and makeup in recent years to offer us skin that looks lovely. There are many different types of BB creams and foundations on the market, and today we'll glance at what is BB creams and foundations?
Tumblr media
And, afterward, we will move to the section where we will make you matey with the things you should consider while buying BB cream or foundation.
What Is Foundation?
A liquid, cream, or powder foundation is used on the face and neck to conceal defects, balance out the skin tone, and occasionally alter the natural skin tone. Some foundations can also serve as a substrate for more sophisticated cosmetics or as a moisturizer, sunscreen, or astringent.
What Exactly Is BB Cream?
BB cream, often known as 'blemish balm' cream, is a multifunctional product combination. It combines a primer, moisturizer, foundation, sunscreen, and concealer. It's a one-stop shop product that was famous in Asia but has now expanded all over the world because employing it is easy. And also because of its capacity to beautify skin in seconds. Using this all-in-one cream will drastically reduce your skincare and makeup regimen, as well as your product arsenal. If you haven't made an effort yet, you should absolutely do so. Not sure where to begin? Here are a few tips to take into account before buying them.
Skin Color
Distinct skin types have different requirements. While BB cream and foundation may complement and improve the appearance of all skin types. It is critical that you pick the perfect one for you. If you have dry skin, search for a BB cream with nourishing and moisturizing formulations. A good BB cream for your skin would contain humectants or ceramides to restore moisture.
For Oily Skin
People with oily skin also struggle to discover the finest BB creams and foundations that suit their skin type. But it doesn't imply people can't attain and benefit from the product's applications. While many BB creams are excessively thick, certain products are appropriate for this skin type. Further, matte finishes, lightweight, and oil-free solutions are suitable for such skin types. Therefore, ensure that you receive a product that meets this requirement.
For Combination Skin
Finding a cream that works for your mixed complexion might be difficult. You'll need to locate one that balances oil and dryness on your skin. A BB cream or foundation that adds extra oiliness to your face or causes it to dry out may not be your best choice. Therefore, using a cream that absorbs oil without leaving you dry is preferable. Formulas containing antioxidants like vitamin E are also desirable in cream for brightening effects.
For Hyperpigmentation
Choosing a cream for hyperpigmentation is also tricky. Because hyperpigmentation darkens the skin, it can range from tiny spots to bigger ones. Some people use a heavy concealer over the top when dealing with this. To eliminate dark spots and even out your skin tone, seek a cream that includes arbutin.
SPF
Most BB creams and foundations contain SPF, making them an extremely useful component in your skincare routine. For this reason, it is not of the essence to apply sunscreen and makeup separately when using BB cream. This is because they are combined into one simple product. It shields your skin from the sun and might assist you in avoiding sun damage throughout the year. If you are fair, use sunscreen with a high SPF. SPF 15 is a good starting point, but you may go higher if necessary. Daily skin protection is essential because the sun can cause up to 90% of premature skin aging.
Shade
You naturally want a cream that complements your skin tone. You should choose a cream that matches your skin tone because they come in a number of hues. BB cream may adjust to your skin type and offers immediate coverage and correction. Thus, choose the appropriate shade before purchasing to ensure that your skin always looks healthy and radiant.
Keep Your Age In Mind
Before making a purchase, you must take into account your age and make an appropriate decision. People in their forties can use BB cream, which has anti-aging qualities and gives more coverage. Choose those that decrease wrinkles and make you seem younger. Further, young folks might use BB and foundation creams that offer them a shine and a dewy look.
Make The Right Choice
To sum up, applying BB cream or foundation is not only your makeup routine but also a skincare routine if chosen the right one. Therefore, pick the creams incorporating the tips mentioned above. Apart from choosing the suitable cream, choosing the brand is also essential. Do not worry if you rely on none, as you can visit the website of DoDo Skin. Don't give second thoughts to their products. They offer the finest quality products that are free from harmful chemicals. Moreover, every skin type can find something suitable with a medley of products, ranging from the best CC cream for oily skin to the best BB cream.
So, what next?
Hook to their website, scroll through the products, and purchase the best suited!

Miss Dreea it's random but the skin care enthusiast in me wants to know your skincare routine.
Drop it, plus also tell me about your fav makeup products if you use makeup I will try them.
oh wow. you don't even know if i got good skin or not though 😅 but i do incidentally, i mean it's not the best but i try. and i do happen to be quite a makeup geek.
for my skin care i currently use (after thoroughly removing my makeup) serozinc from la roche posay, i spray it all over (it's a toner) then the advanced snail 96 mucin power essence from cosrx, and then i slug with cicaplast b5 from la roche-posay (i have a bit of rosacea that sometimes flares up and this keeps it in check and my skin absolutely loves it) my skin is normal-mixed with a slightly oily t-zone and sometimes drier patches on my cheeks and this helps me balance it out without worsening any of it. in the morning i just do the snail essence and a bit of the cicaplast on my undereye. i don't wash my face in the morning with anything other than plain water.
honestly i'm never gonna be one of those ppl that go out of their way to use sunscreen. i like a bit of a tan and the skin does need a bit of sun also. if i know i'll be walking around at noon when the sun burns or if i'm going to the beach then yeah, but otherwise i just don't stress it. i've got very youthful looking skin for my 30 years so i must be doing smth right lol
for instance right now my bb cream doesn't even have any spf in it. i use the cica clearning bb cream from purito. and as of late i've been doing really simple eye makeup, just a bit of eyeliner and mascara, i love the milk cream contour and blush sticks. i don't set my makeup and it looks slightly dewy and youthful
i used to have a much more extensive makeup routine when i was younger and i really don't find it necessary anymore. you just gotta find what works for you through trial and error, you don't need to do all the dolling up that usually only looks good on camera, not in person.
having said that, even if i have a simple routine i still love taking me sweet ass time in the morning ahahah i dunno, i can't ever be done in under 30 minutes. oh i heat up my eyelash curler with a blowdrier, shsjkskw stuff like that that added up takes a bit of time 😅

Hii~~~ I want to try make up on, but I dont really know how or where to begin(?) Like, I know theres a hell lot of products, but thats it! Dont really know how to make it work.
Hello darling!
Be prepared to read a long post. Makeup can be intimidating because there is 50 different types of things for the same thing.
You can put the bare necessities into two categories:
Skin care - It’s really important to make your skin look good even after you remover makeup
Actual Makeup - This is what we generally think of when thinking about makeup, but this should be removed before you go to sleep
In skincare, you could have the following:
Cleanser: This is to clean the makeup off your face as well as dirt and oil and other stuff that builds up throughout the day. You use this morning and night, before you apply your makeup, so that you have a fresh clean canvas to work with, and after you remove it, so that everything comes off. There’s different types based on your needs and likes. Some people have really oily skin whereas other people have really dry skin, and then there’s people like me that have combination skin where some parts are oily and some parts are dry. If you have acne, there may be some that are geared just for that, like ones with tea tree oil in them.
Exfoliator: You should only do this once or twice a week, otherwise you can irritate your skin and make it more prone to breaking out. There are some things that a cleanser cannot remove, like the upper layer of dead skin cells, or oil and dirt that have gone deep into your pores. There are physical and chemical exfoliators. I personally do not recommend using physical ones on your face because they can cause micro-abrasions into your skin. But once again, you may be able to find one that suits your skin type. You should use physical exfoliators on your body once a week, though, because just like a cleanser, soap and loofahs don’t get everything out.
Toner: This is certainly not a necessary thing, but it does help improve the overall look and glow of your skin, even when it’s bare faced. It’s usually the consistency of water, and witch hazel is a pretty popular toner, but you may be able to find one that, once again, suits your skin type. Take a shot for every time I say suit your skin type in this post...
Serum: If you have a certain dermal issue, like acne, or eczema, or even wrinkles, you may find a serum that helps with that. If you use a toner, then you put this on after the toner, but before the moisturizer. There’s also day and night serums, but that is based on whatever you are getting. If this step is overwhelming, then you can totally skip it.
Moisturizer: This is one step you should not skip, even if you have oily skin. This locks the moisture in and hydrates your skin all day so that it doesn’t flake or start producing excess oil to make up for the lack of hydration. If you have oily skin, then you can find a moisturizer that fits that skin type. You can even get a moisturizer with SPF.
Sunscreen: If your moisturizer and foundation does not have sunscreen then get separate sunscreen to apply, which you should even on a cloudy day, since the UV rays are still coming through.
Now that your skin has been taken care of, you can put on makeup.
Primer: If you’re planning on wearing your makeup for an entire day, or a night out when you know you’ll be sweaty, or you feel like your makeup will be smudged for whatever reason, you can put on a primer, which basically covers your skin like a paint primer so that that the makeup can have a smoother and a longer lasting finish. But, it’s not necessary. I only wear primers if I have a huge event to go to, like a wedding or something. I don’t bother with it on the daily.
Foundation vs BB Cream: Unlike foundations, BB, CC, and EE, creams focus on particular details, like color correcting, and other details. Foundations are heavier, even the lighter coverage ones, but they work better for heavier makeup. Make sure to have your foundation matched to your skin tone. I don’t want to hear any of this fair-and-lovely, or ethnically-ambiguous BS. It never looks good, and it’s just plain disrespectful. I also don’t recommend foundations with SPF, since those are the ones that tend to create flashback (is that what it’s called?) if you take a picture with the flash on.
Concealer: This is a couple shades lighter than your skin tone, and goes over the under-eye bags to brighten it up. You can also use concealer as a eye-shadow primer, to make sure that the powder doesn’t smudge throughout the day. Be sure to set it with a setting powder, which I’ll explain later.
Contour: If you don’t want to do this, then you’re more than welcome to skip it. But basically, applying darker shades in some places and light shades in others creates the illusion of a different facial structure, but can also make you look like a clown if done wrong. Once you get the hang of overall makeup, you can definitely try it out, but make sure you get some practice before you wear it out. If not, you can just apply a bit of bronzer under the cheek bones and be good to go.
Powders: Remember when you’d dig through your mom’s purse and find a compact mirror with a lil round sponge and a pressed powder? Those were the days. These days, you’re better off with a setting powder under the eye area, which is often too white, but you let it sit for a few minutes to “bake” into your foundation. Then you can apply translucent powder all over your face to finish the skin stuff.
Eyes: Eye-shadows are pretty straight forward, but I suggest looking at the color wheel to see what works best with your eye and hair color for the ultimate wow effect. Mascara and eyeliner get easier to put on with practice. You don’t have to curl your lashes. I think I’ve only ever done that once in my life and that was only to test it out. You can also shape and darken your eyebrows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow. Though you may need some practice to make it look natural.
Lips: You should try our liquid vs cream and gloss vs matte to figure out what you like best. Just keep in mind that matte liquid tends to stay on much longer than cream or gloss, and is also harder to budge, in case you plan on eating a messy meal or doing... messy activities.
Highlighter: If there is one trend that I wish would go out of style, it’s highlighters. Everyone seems to love it, which I respect, but I can’t help but think of disco balls every time I see a makeup guru on instagram. If you want to try it, apply a little but on the tip of your nose and cheekbones, and maybe a lil bit on your cupid’s bow and chin for an extra razzle dazzle.
Setting Spray: This is another one of those extra steps that you can take if you really want your makeup to last through a night out, or a trip to the beach in July. Once you’ve applied everything, hold the spray at an arms length and spritz your face like you’re disciplining a puppy. But, like, don’t discipline a puppy. That’s mean.
Here’s some general overall tips to remember:
These are a bunch of infographs about types of brushes and makeup applications that I could not explain here.
There are a ton of YouTubers that can teach you all sorts of makeup. I recommend Kaushal Beauty, Alexandra’s Girly Talk, and Brianna Fox, where I learnt all my makeup and other beauty stuff from, back when I knew absolutely nothing. For more bolder and artistic looks, you can check out Nikkie Tutorials.
Experiment with as many looks as you want, but if you’re trying something new, be sure to try it at home and when you’re not in a rush.
Keep practicing drawing on eyeliner, because that’s the only way you’ll get better at it.
If you want to go for the “natural” look, you can just apply some toner, sunscreen, and tinted moisturizer on your skin. You can also put on some mascara and lip gloss, and maybe do your brows if you have extra time. That way you look completely put together without it looking like you even bothered, because who even bothers to look good, right? We all just wake up like this.
I realize that I started slipping in more of my snark as time went on, but it was a long post, and I’m tired. Have fun playing with makeup, though! It’s actually pretty fun once you start doing it for yourself rather than to look good, because then the possibilities are endless and everyone’s Michelangelo.

The first fact is that you should know how much sunscreen you are going through. Let’s go over some quick tips on how to remove tanning. The first thing is that to remember you see the effects of ultraviolet rays until much later. If you do not believe us, speak to a dermatologist. You only need a teaspoon of sunscreen on your face. If you are not going outdoor too. SPF15 or 20 is probably enough to last you all day. Many facial moisturizers and foundations offer at least this much broad-spectrum protection and you would not need to apply as much. But at any rate. Be sure to put on sunblock at least 15 minutes before you go outside. Rays that make it through to your skin.

Though sunblocks may be undesirable cosmetically as most of these are opaque. Sunscreen for tanning will help you based on the sun now that you have a brief overview let’s get started with the reviews so you can find what you need. Tanning has been a favored pastime of women everywhere since at least the 1950s.but with so many opinions and ideas out there – it’s not the 50s anymore and we know that tanning can be dangerous if no precautions are taken. So we have done our homework and we are dispelling the top sunscreen tanning.so can make the most out of your time in the sun.

Why sunscreen is important:
Sunscreen will be your best friend on protecting your skin from ultraviolet rays. They are the UV and UVB rays, and as, we discussed before, the UVB radiation will tan and possibly burn your skin on the outer layers and shades. Uvb will penetrate your skin and dermis your skin. Which can cause premature aging? The uva rays can penetrate specifies of the sun. It can pass through glasses and the shades that mean that even when you are not directly exposed to the sun. you still need sunscreen protection, preferable UVB while you may think that’s blocking 93% So, while you may think that blocking 93% of the suns ray is completely blocking your chance at a tan-don’t forget that your sunscreen is being constantly worn down by sweat by sweat and clothing-some rays are absolutely still getting through. You had been surprised what a fantastic tan you can achieve by preparing your skin with a tan accelerator, then layering on an SPF before heading out. It’s why we created our new mineral sunscreen tan smart, the first sunscreen of its kind to include s tan accelerator which we call our tan boost technology, to make the most of the select protection factors, which is the indication of the efficiency of a given sunscreen. That’s because ultraviolet rays can still damage your eyes. Just ask anyone who’s had cataract surgery. This is one of the reasons that you should invest in sunscreen that has both uva and UVB protection. In addition, sunscreen can help sensitive skin to stay well, protect against sunburn and sun-damaged dark spots, and wrinkles.
How to Use a Sunscreen for Tanning:
In order to tan without burning, you need to apply enough sunscreen daily.
Imagine the typical eight-ounce bottle of suntan lotion. It will remove your tanning better.
That’s why purchasing more than one bottle at a time is smart.
Put about a teaspoon on each arm and leg, at least two on your torso (front and back), and one on your face and neck will pack your tanning.
Next, remember to reapply every two hours, or when you get out of the water and towel off will dry and rinse your skin. This is where you need to experiment.
Do you know how long it takes you to burn?
For example, light-skinned people might develop sunburn within fifteen to thirty minutes in the sun it is the main reason for tanning.
If you put on a tanning oil with spf4, you will have four times that long to enjoy the sunshine before burning.
A small number of rays will still penetrate your skin to cause melanin production and give you a tan.
This is more likely if it’s not a broad-spectrum sunscreen that only blocks UVB, not UVA.
Keep in mind, that sunscreen doesn’t block a hundred percent of the ultraviolet radiation.
That’s why tanning with sunscreen works a lot.
Therefore, put on the sunscreen and layout for fifteen minutes if you have fair-skinned.
Flip over and wait for another fifteen. Then go inside and check your skin and analyses the difference.
Even with a sunscreen, don’t stay out longer than an hour total that very first time.
You might not notice any redness or difference until the evening suits you.
Which SPF Is Best for Tanning?
I also mentioned a moment ago that sunscreen without uva and UVB protection are more likely to help you tan. UVB radiations are what causes burns and skin cancer. Meanwhile, uva leads to more pigment productions but is linked to age-related skin damaged like wrinkles. Basically, for tanning purpose, use the lowest SPF you can, but limits your time outdoors accordingly. If you are concerned about the unpredictable results of tanning outside, build up a base tan by tanning indoors. Get one the best tanning lotions for fair skin to help you begin? Don’t forget your scalp can get burn. Wear a hat, or spend some time in the shade. There are easier ways to get highlights in your hairs. If you are pale, to begin with, don’t try tanning with spf4. Once, you have got a little color, you can drop the sun protection factors to a lower number. If you go on vacation o someplace closer to the equator then where you live. Choose a strong sunscreen. What kept you from burning in the high latitude might be enough where the sun us the more intense. The same is true if you go up into the mountain. Even, skiers wear sunscreen because snow a swatter reflects rays. Simply put, the best sunscreen is the one you and your kids will actually use! We recommend finding one you love and sticking with it. Aside from the brands or SPF level, there are two types of sunscreens. One with chemical and other is minerals active ingredients.
Chemical Sunscreen:
Chemical sunscreen is also like a type of you are familiar with already. They absorb the harmful ultraviolet rays before they reach your skin. While these lotions and sprays are easier to apply with into the white residue, you will need a reapply more often than you would with a physical option.
Mineral Sunscreen:
Is also called the chemical formulas. Leave with a white cast, but usually last longer than Mineral sunscreen chemical formulas. Is also called the physical sunscreen. Form a barrier on your skin that reflects or filters ultraviolet rays. He dispersed zinc oxide and titanium dioxide formulas can be more difficult to spread on your skin.

Use sunscreen with an  SPF of 30:
Always wear a sunscreen with broad-spectrum UV protection of at least 30 SPF. Never use a tanning oil that does not contain sun protection. Be sure to apply sunscreen within 20 minutes of being outside. An SPF 30 is enough to block uva and UVB rays, but not so strong that you won’t get tan. Cover your body in at least a full ounce of sunscreen. Change the position of frequently. This will help you avoid the burning part of your body. Eat foods that contain beta carotene. Foods like’s carrots, sweet, potatoes, and take can help you tan without burning. More research is needed. But, some studies show that beta carotene can help reduce sun sensitivity in people with photosensitive diseases. Don’t stay outside for longer than your skin can create melanin. Melanin is the pigment responsible for tanning. Everyone has melanin cut-off points, which is usually 2 to 3hours. After this amount of time, your skin will not get darker on a certain day. If you tan past that point, you will be putting your skin in harm’s way. Eat lycopene-rich food, examples include tomatoes, guava, and watermelon. A small 2011 study trusted source found that lycopene helps protects the skin naturally against UV rays. Choose you’re tanning time wisely. If your goal is to tan quickly, the sun is the typically strongest between noon and 3 pm. keep in mind, however, that while the sun is at its strongest during this time, it will do the most damage due to this exposure. If you have extremely fair skin, its best to tan in the morning after 3 pm to avoid the burning. Is likely to increase the risk of skin cancer due to this expose. If you have extremely fair skin colors. Consider wearing a strapless top. Seek shades: Taking breaks will make it less likely for you to burn, and it will give your skin break from the intense heat. Prep, before you tan preparing your skin before heading outdoors, can help your tan last longer. Try exfoliating your skin before tanning. Skin that has not been exfoliating is more likely to flake off. Using an aloe Vera after tanning may also help your tan last longer.
Risk of tanning:
Tanning and scrub thing may feel good, and even boost mood trusted source because of the exposure to vitamin D. However, tanning still has risk, especially if you forgot sunscreen risk associated with tanning includes:
Melanoma and other skin cancers

Hello ladies! I've had success in asking for advice here before, so I figure it's worth a shot again: can you recommend me the most insanely hydrating moisturiser you know of? I'm so fed up with the dry spots on my face that the price *almost* doesn't matter at all!😫💸 Also, while we're at it, a bb cream or light weight foundation, just something light and not at all full coverage? Please, sgare with me your best brands and products!🤩
Yes! We haven’t talked beauty products in forEVER! I’ll admit I have oily skin in the summer, but it does get bad dry spots in winter so I’ll share some of my picks. If others have suggestions we’d love to hear them! I’m going to link the product from the manufacturer’s page but I’ll add it’s sometimes cheaper to get them at Ulta, Walgreens, Walmart, or even the grocery store when they run sales on some of these products.
One of my go to creams in winter because it’s think and hydrating is the one below. It’s technically a “night cream” but I’ve used it day and night. I don’t find that it really matters:
https://www.olay.com/en-us/skin-care-products/age-defying-anti-wrinkle-night-cream
I also really like this moisturizer also from Olay because it’s got a little SPF in it. It’s not quite as heavy as the one above. They also have a version without SPF if you don’t like that:
https://www.olay.com/en-us/skin-care-products/complete-all-day-moisturizer-spf-15
I haven’t tried a lot of BB creams before. But I do like this one from Covergirl. It’s cheap and affordable and also comes in matte. They used to sell a tinted moisturizer I loved. I was so upset when they stopped making it and recently found out they just remarketed the product into a BB cream when they took off. I typically only use it it summer, and I do get a tad bit oily from it but I think that’s more my oily summer skin than it is the product:
https://www.covergirl.com/en_us/face-makeup/smoothers-bb-cream.html
I don’t know that this clarifies as a BB or CC type product, but it is in line with a low coverage/tinted moisturizer type product. I got this Clinique product as a free sample from ulta a few months ago. It has a light coverage and a really nice feel, but the sample wasn’t my correct color match so I haven’t long wear tested the product to see how it performs:
https://m.clinique.com/product/19996/50973/makeup/clinique-fit/cliniquefittm-workout-makeup-broad-spectrum-spf-40?shade=01_Light
And for a final fun product (even though you didn’t ask for it) I found this sheet mask at my local grocery store in the check out line and seriously loved it. I had a lot of skin dryness this winter and decided to try this and it really hydrated my skin well and made it feel soooo nice without making it gunky or causing me to break out like others have:
https://www.ponds.com/us/en/products/collection/hydrating-sheet-mask/hydrate-glow-revitalizing-sheet-mask.html
Sorry to recommend what feels like so many grandma brands, but sometimes when you find what works it works! Hopefully some other anons will have great recommendations for you too! 🦎

Summer Skin Tips
Change in the season inevitably gets you to shuffle your wardrobe- whatever the weather allows you to wear. However, how often do we think about switching up the skincare and makeup routine? Well, most of us don't, but here is why we should.
Skincare is a no-joke, delicate balancing game. Our skin reacts differently to certain temperatures and climates and to keep the youthfulness and hydration levels in check and the excess oils and dirt at bay, it's important we understand not only our skin-type but the weather-type just as well.
Light Textured Products for the Summer
Ideally, we should replace heavy creams with light-textured serums during the daytime so to compensate for excessive perspiration and to avoid any pore-clogging situation. For similar reasons, products like oil or silicone based foundations, or rich, full coverage foundations should be avoided and replaced with a light BB or CC cream that contains a reasonable amount of SPF.
Hydration
This is obvious, but we tend to overlook this. Our routine and shedding a lot of sweat makes it difficult to stay hydrated. So "eight cups of water a day" theory does not apply in the summertime. The theory switches like everything else in summer; it becomes "chug as much as you can throughout the day" theory.
Eating Healthy
A healthy diet plays a role in almost all areas of life but foods rich in antioxidants such as Mint, Mango, Spinach, Apricots help a great deal in maintaining beautiful, dewy summer skin.
Eating Light
Just like we ditch our heavy clothing in summer-time for the light and breezy outfits, we should ideally eat light too. Saying no to fast food and fried goods would save you troubles like acne, excessive perspiration, bad odour, oily skin and feeling heavy in general. Eating Fruit, Green vegetables, wholesome foods, yoghurt, and fresh juices would you a lot better. Your waistline would thank you too! You gotta watch that bikini body for the summer, are we right or are we right?
A Healthy Nighttime Routine
With summer dusk and nighttime, we feel (and voluntarily bring) changes in the circadian rhythm. We eat at later hours and sleep later too. High nighttime temperature also impacts on the quality of our sleep.
Investing in a good eye cream, and cutting down on screen time, enjoying some Chamomile tea and gravitating towards some healthy reading is our best advice for calm summer nighttime.

Do’s and Don’ts of Summer Skin Care Regime to Beat the Heat
We are almost halfway through the summer season and as the temperature soars, it’s best to reconsider our skincare regime to beat the rising heat. The humid weather is bound to cause dehydration, sweat, irritation, acne and other breakouts on the skin. Perhaps that’s why this season brings along a dire need to take care of the skin and follow the right regime to give the care it needs.
Adhering to the correct order of skin care routine is important which includes the right use of products, avoiding direct contact with the sun and building a routine to avoid summer-related issues. As we move to the hotter months, we have enclosed a few do’s and don’ts of summer skincare so that you can boost your skin health by making a few tweaks.
 Summer Skin Care-Do’s and Don’ts’s
Wash Your Face at Atleast Twice a Day
Summers season is mostly hot and humid and makes our faces sweaty and oily. That’s why cleansing the face is regarded as one of the important and first steps toward a skin care routine. It aims at removing all the piled-up dirt, sweat, oil and sebum from the face and leaving it clean and fresh. Wash your face thoroughly using a mild and foam-producing Facewash at least twice a day and use a Facial Cleansing Tool that is crafted with soft bristles to deeply clean the face and pores that get clogged due to impurities.
 Don’t Forget Sunscreen
Whether you stay indoors or step out, always remember to apply sunscreen to combat harmful sunrays. SPF-infused sunscreen cream protects the skin from UV rays, sunburns, rashes and acne. Go for the sunscreens that are lightweight and come with the goodness of hydrating formula to keep the skin refreshed throughout the day. These days a lot of prominent make-up brands are coming up with SPF-infused beauty products that are worth picking in this season, hence you can use them as well.
 Avoid Heavy and Oily Make-Up
Applying multiple make-up products altogether prevents skin from breathing freely and often results in a meltdown due to excessive sweating. Hence, always prefer lightweight and transfer-proof make-up during the summer season. You can skip wearing heavy foundation and instead use light BB cream as a base. They don’t make the face look cakey, instead keep your face fresh, hydrated and brighten the complexion.
 Don’t Overscrub Your Face
There’s no denying that exfoliating the face and other body parts is one of the favorite ways to get rid of dead skin cells and other impurities from the face. However, if done in excess, it can damage the skin with rashes and itchiness. Skin exfoliation once or twice a week is okay but one should avoid doing it regularly as it can lead to puffiness and dry skin and may result in breakouts getting worse. Prefer using Body Bath Brush made up of natural bristles for gentle cleansing and exfoliation.
Keep Your Body Hydrated and Moisturized
The rise in temperature and scorching heat leaves our bodies dehydrated and can cause headaches and fatigue. The summer season can take a toll on anyone, hence it is important to keep your body hydrated and refreshed. Make a point to drink water and other summer drinks in an adequate amount. The right intake of different liquids cleanses the body, maintains the energy level, clears the skin and also improves digestion. Along with hydration, also ensure to keep your skin moisturized no matter if it’s oily or dry.
Simply follow this easy guide and protect your skin from harmful sunrays.
