Last year I worked at a small student led handicraft store run by my university and it was originally supposed to be a temporary pop-up run by the lecturers who led the events management course. It was the best job I’d ever had - which isn’t saying much because every other job I’ve had has been horrendous and traumatising in ways I can’t even describe - so of course I was overjoyed when they told us they were extending our temporary contracts by a year and keeping the shop open indefinitely.
At that point things started going downhill. The uni stopped promoting the shop at all so our customer numbers dropped dramatically, and the uni’s PR department refused to let us utilise the shop’s social media page despite asking one of the employees to manage the social media and making her take on extra hours. They refused to make the necessary changes in order to make it the permanent storefront they envisioned - All our bookkeeping for every single purchase had to be written in a paper ledger and then copied and reformatted into a dozen different stock and accounting spreadsheets on a laptop, for every single individual item in each sale, before we could take payment, because they refused to pay for software that would automate it, so a single transaction could take anywhere between 5-20 minutes depending on what the person was buying. Many customers ended up getting frustrated and just walked off.
We started haemorrhaging stockists as the uni didn’t pay them fairly or on time, despite pestering from both stockists and floor staff. Even now, nearly 6 months after the whole thing shut down, some stockists still haven’t been paid. The uni took such a huge amount of commission from each sale (nearly 3 times the industry standard!) that the stockists making products couldn’t afford to pay themselves fairly without doubling or tripling the prices of their work, which fucked up their sales. Most people didn’t even earn enough to cover production costs for their work.
I was maybe the only person on the entire staff who actually had any significant retail and customer facing experience, having worked in the fast food and retail industries for ~4 years before I started at the shop, and it was abysmal. The events management faculty who were supposed to be running it had no customer facing experience and did nothing to help when problems came up - they treated it like a temporary event rather than a permanent shopfront and we had so little support and oversight it was awful. We had to take on full management responsibility despite it being well above our pay grade because they refused to hire an experienced manager or supervisor - while trying to man the store we would also have to do admin, liaise with clients and stockists, accounting, stock input, paying for essential supplies with our own money because the Uni refused to approve them, organising our own shifts and pay, making social media content, and arranging cover for if someone was ill or had an emergency. Instead of any reasonable support they sent us a horribly overworked postgrad intern who was working between 5-6 different departments and could only actually be in the store maybe one hour a month, had no idea what she was doing, and was so overworked that she eventually had a breakdown and quit.
This issue was compounded because they’d only ever let us put two employees on each shift - they refused to pay enough for staff numbers above that despite being so busy in the first few months that we couldn’t keep up, and told us that for safety reasons both employees had to be there to open the shop- so if somebody was late or didn’t show up the other person wouldn’t be able to work either. If one person was on a double shift and the second person’s replacement for second shift wasn’t on time, the person on the double wouldn’t be able to leave for a lunch break, and the person on the single would have to stay extra time. There were several employees that would spend the entire shift doing fuck all - one guy was at least two hours late every single shift, and bought his XBOX with him every time, and spent the entire time he was working with his feet propped up on the counter playing GTA. The university genuinely didn’t care about the shop or its success enough to even give him a disciplinary.
It was awful, especially because there were a small group of us who were both stockists and floor staff, and were genuinely invested in the shop’s success. But our contracts ran till the end of the academic year, and the pay was really decent compared to a lot of jobs in the area, and it was stable and above minimum wage, so we (the staff) really did try to make it work, but we were set up to fail. Eventually we were barely making a sale a day, and then it dropped to a sale a week.
When they closed the shop, right before the end of the semester when people’s rent would be due, they gave us 10 days’ notice - which went against our contract - and no redundancy pay. Most people had had shifts for the next 8-9 weeks already scheduled, which we never got to work. We never got our holiday pay or the Christmas bonus they’d promised us 9 months prior. It was such short notice that several people couldn’t find new jobs in time, couldn’t scrape enough together to pay their bills and rent on time, and they didn’t even have the decency to tell us we were losing our jobs in person - they sent out a single email to one of the girls who helped organise shifts, and she had to post it in the staff group chat.
And the sad thing? It was still the best, least stressful job I’ve ever had. It was the only job I’ve had that didnt actually make me want to die. I miss it like hell. It was the only job I’ve had that paid me above the legal minimum wage. I’m physically disabled, and it was the only job I’ve ever had that actually followed through on the reasonable adjustments and disability accommodations they’d promised me.
But the way it was run it wasn’t fair or sustainable , and it shouldn’t have ended the way it did.

OK OK so it was not in time for Katsuki's birthday, but here it is, a little tidbit of the chapter I'm still hammering out for my BKDK fic :D
fic: When Did Your Dream Become Mine Alone
Guys, any readers still around, If you haven't noticed, I'm a slow writer but don't worry, so many parts of this story are banging around in my head and in various stages of draft.
Anyway, enjoy; Katsuki is WHIPPED and Izuku is so NORMAL about these thoughts in his head!
Taking a huge bite of his dinner, Izuku tapped through his e-mails, and found a fresh one from Katsuki. He immediately sat up straighter, excitement building; it had to be the recording of their training session at UA on Saturday.
Before they had their misunderstanding, Izuku muttered a passing thought it might be a good idea to begin recording their sessions, so he could see his form from a new angle, in order to help him relearn all of his skills, kick bad habits and decide where new habits needed to be formed. Formulate new strategies and new moves.
Katsuki had clearly overheard his rambling thoughts, and volunteered his laptop…He’d made sure he had purchased a high-quality model long ago, ever since starting the Replica suit project. He said it had been important to have a high-functioning machine in order to store all of the data, keep communication records, manage finances, and especially, keep in regular, remote contact with Hatsume and Melissa.
It turns out that Izuku himself must have gotten distracted since having the initial thought himself, because he was shocked when Katsuki suddenly came surprisingly prepared. He’d shown up on Saturday with the best recording software currently available for the model, freshly downloaded and ready to use.
And a new digital camera with a tripod.
Izuku had nearly hit the roof, seeing Katsuki respond to his small, half-formed idea, and answering it with such intensity.
Katsuki also refused to divulge the price tag of his new equipment.
“Look, you want to have footage, or not? We’re not using the camera that came with the laptop, you won’t see shit, and then your form will be shit.” Katsuki was recorded at the beginning of the video he’d sent; up close in the camera’s view, adjusting something off screen, and then looking at everything in sequence, Izuku could vividly see his ruby red eyes darting around.
“Ok, it’s recording. It’s got an AI program that will focus on our movements so we don’t have a bunch of useless shots.” He was seen getting to his feet, stepping back. The camera kept him in focus, showing Katsuki and then Izuku who had been behind him bending forward with a curious look.
“Wow, it really does,” Izuku remarked, leaned out of frame and waved a hand around. He sidled closer to Katsuki and sent the camera a little peace sign and a grin. In the present, Izuku shook his head at his own antics, with a small, embarrassed smirk. He almost moved to hit fast-forward.
Katsuki, who had of course been in his bad mood at this point, with his arms crossed across his chest, was looking sideways at Izuku and appeared slightly annoyed as he usually did. But before Izuku could tap further in the play log, he saw Katsuki’s face change.
It wasn’t much. The flat line of Katsuki’s lips tilted upwards, and the wrinkles around his eyes faded, brows lifted. If Izuku looked closely enough, he could see the rare sight of dimples at the corners of his mouth. Katsuki smiled. Really, truly smiled. At the Izuku on the screen, obliviously doing his silly little peace sign and leaning against Katsuki’s shoulder.
There was something so warm about it...It felt the same, Izuku thought, as when Katsuki had been helping him with his hands in the car. Or…in the Med van.
In the blink of an eye, Katsuki shrugged sharply and changed back, looking as if he was quickly putting back on his outward gruffness. It was at that point that Katsuki had turned, and grabbed Izuku by a palm slapped onto his forehead, dragging him away.
“Come on, you wanted to train, idiot!” Katsuki had loudly complained.
Izuku in the present paused the video as the two of them walked away, towards the open gym where they had had their bout of Catch-a-Kacchan. He had to admit, the camera really was effective at smoothly keeping the two of them in frame.
He began fretting with a finger on his lip.
It was silly, really, he’d seen Katsuki smile plenty of times even a few of these particular, softer ones. Was it because this time it had happened when Katsuki was otherwise in a bad mood? Because it was clearly not meant for Izuku to see? Why did he look so… What word was Izuku even looking for?
…Affectionate?
Well, sure, he thought. It was normal for friends to have affection for each other. Even Katsuki had his moments, his own language of expressing those feelings. It was normal for the blonde to warm up his hands when they hurt. It was normal for friends to have deep, heartfelt conversations and to be protective of each other, sometimes angrily so... Warm smiles were normal between friends. It didn’t…mean anything. Not necessarily.
…Why did that somehow not make him feel better?
#Introspective Izuku#he's so silly#they're both so silly#Sugar daddy Bakugou#bakudeku#oblivious izuku#Bakugou katsuki is whipped#Bakugou is a besotted fool#HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAKUGOU#Izuku starting to pick up hints? How to Order From Antique Beast
I've noticed a number of people have various Antique Beast items, primarily the Black Cat Headdress, on their wishlist. I've also seen instances where these headdresses are heavily scalped on secondhand websites, so I just wanted to put out a PSA - Please don't buy overpriced secondhand Antique Beast! They still open up their shop regularly, and while it was quite difficult to snag items the first couple of times post-2020 that they reopened their shop, the demand seems to have returned to normal, and it's not nearly as difficult to buy items before they close the shop again.
The way Antique Beast works is they will send email list subscribers an email one day before their shop is set to open. They will also update the website to include any one-offs or new releases. They will then open up the webshop at the scheduled time and close it once they reach their maximum quantity of orders.
The easiest way to make sure you don't miss updates is to subscribe to their mailing list, which you can do here! It's also best to create an account so that your mailing information is saved for faster checkout. To create an account, click here. If you can't read Japanese, Google Translate is sufficient for helping navigate the website.
Buttcape of Stephano.me also has a tutorial on how to order from Antique Beast from 2017, which you can read here. It includes information about signing up for the newsletter and how to register an account.
You might be wondering, "Ok, if there's already a tutorial, why are you making this post?" For one thing, since this tutorial is a few years old, people may not be aware of it if they're a newer lolita! Another reason is because I wanted to add a few notes on faster checkout and customization.
As I noted before, sometimes Antique Beast will post one-off items on their shop. If you fall in love with an item deeply and want to be first in line for checkout, you can enter items into your cart and enter your customer info before the shop opens. Once you reach the shipping selection page, there won't be any options to choose from until the site officially opens, so you can hit refresh until a shipping option appears - from there you can just check out regularly!
Another thing that's not talked about a lot is that Antique Beast offers size customization and fabric customization. To ask for something to be customized, just leave it in the notes section before checking out. For sizing, they can only offer a limited amount of increase or decrease from the original garment, presumably because they're working from one pattern. For fabric options, you can ask for different colors (I've seen multiple colorways of the Cat Headdress) or different types of fabrication! So far I have asked for items to be made in velveteen and organza, and I've also seen pleather variations of items. Since these fabric options aren't available to purchase on the site directly, just add the item that you want customized into your cart, and make a note of what you want changed in the notes section.
According to the FAQ, you can also customize the types of trim or ribbon on an item, or you can ask for things like sleeves to be made like that of another item. You can also do things like ask for skirt versions of dresses, ask for a headband or comb instead of ribbons, etc.
If you make a customization request, the owner will email your back within a few days to confirm your request, as well as the price, since there is typically an extra charge for custom items. She may also email back to verify how you want something to look. For example, when I asked or an organza headdress, she asked for details about how I wanted it constructed and how translucent I wanted the final version to be:
The owner uses translation software to write emails, but I've never had a problem communicating with her in English. She will also include an estimated time of departure for your package, which usually takes around one or two months. The amount of time it takes for the package to reach you depends on the shipping method you choose.
Hope that helps anyone who had questions about how to purchase from Antique Beast!

- May 28th 2025 -
Do you have a pool? No.
How many times have you been on a plane? Around 1,000 times, roughly. Back when I was a pilot, I flew 4-5 days a week.
Favorite icecream flavor? Either strawberry or cookies-and-cream.
The key to happiness is? I don't think it's only one thing, and it probably varies from person to person. For me, the keys to my happiness are self-acceptance, having good/loving relationships with my husband and my family, and practicing gratitude and mindfulness.
Favorite movie actress/actor? I don't really have any favorites.
Last time you ordered fast food? I ate at Swenson's a few weeks ago. Normally I get a burger, but they had a limited-time hot chicken sandwich made with some locally-made small-batch hot sauce brand, so I tried that. It was pretty good.
First CD you ever purchased? I actually don't think I've ever bought a CD. Well not a music CD, at least. Just software CDs (back when that was still how you bought software haha). I was a very early adopter of iTunes, I started using it in 2002-ish when I was around 12.
Favorite book you read? The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark, by Carl Sagan. That man was brilliant and did so much for science education. I wish that book was required reading in high schools.
Do you own anything from Tiffany&Co.? Nope, not my style.
Do you have a TikTok? No.
Closest red object you see: A gift card to one of the cafes in town.
Last time you went to the zoo, year: I went to one two weekends ago. They were having a Renaissance Faire there.
I made an extra grilled cheese, want it? I would LOVE a grilled cheese right now.
Do you enjoy driving? Sure, I don't mind it.
First initial of your middle name; M.
How many TVs do you have in your home? Three.
Do you play The Sims 4? No.
Have you ever made your own bath bombs? Nope.
Your favorite store as a teen? Souvenir shops lol. I also liked tech-y stores like Brookstone and Micro Center (and I still do).
Favorite memory of 2020? Having a year-long stay-cation because of covid. My husband was on paid leave from work from March 2020 til June 2021, so we spent most of 2020 just chilling at home together. We binge-watched a bunch of good shows and movies, we'd go on walks around the neighborhood, go on short hikes, play with our birds, play video games together, cook together. Yeah sure it was a little boring and repetitive because neither of us had anywhere to be, but it was also so relaxing.
Happy 21st Birthday, what was (or will be) your first legal drink purchase? My first legal drink purchase was actually a few days before my 21st. My husband and I were on a cruise and we stopped in Belize where the drinking age is 18 and I remember getting a cocktail called a Miami Vice. But then for my 21st birthday, we had dinner at the French restaurant on the cruise ship and I had a glass of wine.
Do you wear socks to bed? No, I hate the feeling of wearing socks without shoes. Too tight/restrictive. My feet tend to get cold while sleeping, so instead of wearing socks, I buy men's extra long sleep pants and just tuck my feet up into the pant legs.
Who do you know who enjoys sushi? I enjoy sushi more than anyone else I know lol. But I know my sister-in-law likes it, too.
You get 2 pizza toppings, what are they? Zucchini and mushrooms.
Ever dipped your pizza in ranch? Rarely, and only with certain kinds of pizza. I would never dream of dipping a nice margherita or wood-fired pizza in ranch. But if it's a shit-quality Cleveland-style pizza, then yeah, it needs something to improve it.
Ever dye your hair blonde? Nope. I had naturally blonde hair when I was a kid, though.
Do you know anyone famous? Not really anymore, but I knew Emma Stone when we were kids. Our moms have been best friends since they were in 7th grade together.
Favorite YouTuber? MaxVelocity Weather, Simone Giertz, Sabine Hossenfelder, Molly Burke, Bright Sun Travels, Chani Japan, Curt Jaimungal Theories of Everything, Finlandia Diaries, Peter Santenello, Technology Connections. And yes, I looked through my subscriptions list for this question lol.
You can only listen to one genre of music for the rest of your life, you choose: Classical.
Name a Pokémon: Geodude.

Why Should Organizations Choose RPA Managed Services Over In-House Automation?
In the current business world, time is a very valuable resource, and the work flow depends on efficiency. Automation, especially through Robotics Process Automation, has proven to become more functional in enabling a reduction of excessive human interventions. Even if it is wise to develop an in-house automation team, there are key benefits associated with managed RPA services that explain why organizations should seek the help of the latter.
Here's why more and more organizations are choosing external expertise for their RPA needs:
Faster Implementation and Time-to-Value: Developing an effective Centre of Excellence for RPA services demands a substantial amount of time, and a lot of effort goes into recruitment activities, training, and infrastructure development. The implementation of IT management services is more efficient with MSPs as they already have the knowledge and tools in place, so it is faster to gain a return on investment. According to data gathered from numerous industries, first-order automation gains through engaging managed services run approximately 40% better than those achieved by setting up in-house centers of excellence.
Access to Specialized Skills and Experience: Today RPA services is a rapidly developing industry. Managed service providers employ teams of certified professionals with diverse experience across various industries and RPA service platforms. They also provide access to best practice ideas, new and improved techniques, and niche solutions for particular types of business, aspects which cannot easily or inexpensively be duplicated in-house. Data collected using the current survey shows that 65% of the companies are outsourcing RPA with a primary motivation to access specialized skills.
Cost Efficiency and Predictable Expenses: On the other hand, although in-house automation becomes cheaper in the long run, the upfront cost of personnel hiring and training, software purchase, and maintenance is considerably high and variable. Managed services are given on a subscription basis, and this factor eliminates the element of uncertainty, resulting in lower costs. Researches also indicate that outsourcing of RPA services may make the costs to be decreased by about 30% lower than if it was to be done internally.
Scalability and Flexibility: Business needs fluctuate. Managed RPA services permit the demand for capacity for automation to be adjusted according to the requirements, and is not restricted just like the hiring of employees or purchasing more equipment that is required for permanent automation services. This is important for meeting the ever-changing market needs and the growth of the business. There is information that organizations cooperating with managed services enjoy 25% more freedom in scaling up their automation processes.
Focus on Core Business Activities: Outsourcing an RPA project creates the need for an in-house in-IT team to run and maintain the project away from its core business functions. For this reason, when one hires the services of an MSP, internal teams are relieved of handling tasks that can otherwise be tedious and time-consuming, leaving them time to work on more pressing issues for the organization, such as business development. In another view, outsourcing of RPA, like other non-core businesses, can enhance organizational focus by about 50%.
Continuous Support and Maintenance: However, for the RPA application to gain an adequate amount of functionality, it has to be monitored, maintained, and updated over time. Another benefit of MSP is availability of workforce support on such tasks as this relieves internal IT and the business. However, the total availability of RPA services can be enhanced to the optimum level as some of RPA services providers have an availability of 99.9% in some cases.
Selecting the right partner is, therefore, essential when engaging in RPA services. Different organizations that provide RPA services are Accenture, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Suma Soft, Infosys, and Wipro. Assessing the competence, the years of experience and services they offered will assist before choosing the appropriate service provider that will meet the needs of your organization for the future automation plans.

9 Best Places To Buy Windows 11 Keys
The lastest Windows 11 is one of Microsoft’s best OSs . Not only it is stable, but it also comes with a host of new features like Windows Hello, Dark Mode, and advanced security,Android Gaming, Remote connections, To access these features, you’ll need to activate your Windows 11 or Windows 11 Pro , meaning a product key will be necessary, so where are the best places to buy Windows 11 Keys?
Microsoft Store Amazon Newegg Walmart BestBuy Keyingo Microcenter TigerDirect On the Hub
As most branded laptops come with windows 11 without activations, and the PC you build by yourself, you might have to get a windows 11 key from these legit market places !
The best place to buy Windows 11 keys is through the official Microsoft website. However, you can also buy from other trusted websites like Bestbuy, Amazon, Walmart, Newegg,Keyingo, On the Hub.
Then you can activate your Windows 11 and make the most of the OS.
Luckily, we’ve got you covered. Read on as we examine some of the best places to buy Windows 11 keys.
Microsoft Store
Microsoft is hands down the best place to buy Windows 11 keys. Purchasing product keys from the official website gives you the peace of mind that you’re buying a perfectly legal product that won’t have any issues in the future.
While the Microsoft website doesn’t allow you to purchase a product key independently, you can still acquire a product key by buying the different Windows 11 packages.
Windows 11 Home is best for household and personal use, licensed for one PC. Windows 11 Pro is perfect for small businesses and users in need of enhanced functionality, while Windows 11 Pro for Workstations — as the name suggests — is perfect for advanced users and businesses.
Investing in any of the above products will give you a product key that you can find in the email (confirmation) sent after purchasing Windows.
Or, you can find the product key in the packaging box your OS came in.
Keyingo
Keyingo store is among the few trusted websites that deal with product keys.
The website sells various digital products and software ranging from operating systems, office suites, packs, antiviruses and security software, and graphic design products.
You’re also likely to find Windows 11 products at a lower price when buying from Keyingo Store
However, the good thing is that Keyingo deals with legitimate products, meaning you won’t suffer any losses when purchasing directly from the site.
You can track your order or make any inquiries about Windows 11 product keys without having to wait for ages to get a response.
The site also has a software blog that helps users learn a thing or two about making the most of their devices and software.
Amazon
Amazon is also a great place to buy Windows 11 keys. All you’ll need is to head on to the site and search for Windows 11 Home.
You’ll spot several products sold by the official Windows store. However, to avoid making a wrong purchase, paying close attention to the product and its features is crucial.
Amazon allows you to buy Microsoft Windows 11 Home as a DVD, or as a USB that’ll ship to your location. Unfortunately, finding just the digital download copy of Windows 11 Home these days seems to be a bit of a challenge.
It is similar in comparison when considering Windows 11 Home. The main difference is that a USB version or digital download are obtainable and popular choices.
According to Amazon reviews, the USB version is a lot easier to install than the DVD version.
Just because Amazon is a trusted e-commerce site, that doesn’t mean you let your guard down when buying products on the platform.
Pay close attention when purchasing software like Windows 11 to ensure you buy from trustworthy sellers.
And since some software can have identical names and titles, don’t forget to closely check the name to make sure you don’t walk away with the wrong software !
Newegg
It’s hard to talk about online marketplaces for PC components and software without mentioning Newegg.
Formed in 2001, Newegg has established itself as one of the best tech-focused e-retailers in North America and worldwide.
Newegg sells Microsoft products like Windows 11 Home at relatively lower prices than you’d find on the official Microsoft website.
Even better, the site regularly updates its prices, allowing customers to buy software and PC parts at considerably low prices.
While the price cuts won’t be as significant compared to when buying to marketplaces like Kinguin, Newegg allows clients to reduce costs through discounts and promo codes.
Newegg also offers free shipping to clients in the US, which can cut your costs even further.
You’ll receive the activation key upon purchasing the product. On most occasions, the code will be super tiny and strategically located under the ‘scratch off’ sticker.
You can easily scratch off the product key on your package, so it’s best to scratch slowly and carefully.
Walmart
You can also buy Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro on the Walmart website.
One advantage of buying at Walmart is you’ll be eligible for free shipping, and you can buy the product at slightly lower prices than buying directly from Microsoft.
Based on client reviews, you’ll find the key on the Windows 11 product package. Remember to scratch gently to reveal the code.
Walmart also gives you access to a host of other genuine Windows products, making it a great option if you want to buy legit Windows 11 keys without having to pay the full price on the Microsoft website.
Microcenter
Microcenter is another legitimate online store to purchase legitimate Windows 11 for your PC.
The website exclusively deals with tech, computer, and software-related products, making it a great place to hunt for affordable Windows 11 Home or Pro product keys.
Similar to other genuine Microsoft merchants, you’ll get your Windows 11 keys on your packaging.
So, scratch gently to avoid removing the tiny product key figures. Microcenter allows clients to purchase a maximum of ten keys per household, which is a great way to limit further reselling.
TigerDirect
Tigerdirect is another great place to purchase Windows 11 and get a product key for activation.
While the prices aren’t as affordable as you’ll find on several other sites, Tigerdirect is still cheaper than Microsoft.
That means you can ship via TigerDirect if you find buying directly from Windows to be expensive.
Tigerdirect is a lot faster than other sites when it comes to shipping.
And although you won’t get massive discounts on the site, the knowledge that you’ll be buying legitimate Windows 11 keys should give you peace of mind.
Besides fast shipping, Tigerdirect also stands out due to its highly responsive support team.
Clients who’ve bought from the site claim the support team is dedicated to resolving client issues in the shortest time possible.
On the Hub
On the Hub has partnered with hundreds of schools, universities, and colleges from various countries to make Microsoft products and a host of other products available to students.
However, only students with valid school IDs and institution email addresses are eligible for the discounts provided on the site.
To make the most of the offers on the site, you’ll first need to key in your country, state or province, and school.
This information will allow the system to determine the deals and offers you’re eligible for based on your school’s agreement with On The Hub.
Although not suitable for everyone, On The Hub is an excellent website for students looking to purchase or get Windows 11 keys for free.
If you’re a student, then you might want to consider trying out On The Hub if your institution is registered as an academic partner

So, there's this newest, freshest scandal in Yakutsk. Fntastic, the company that recently released The Day Before, the most wish-listed game on Steam, declared that they're stopping their operation.
Fntastic is a game developer company created and based in Yakutsk. A couple of years ago they were backed by Mytona, a mobile game dev company that was also established here.
In 2022, Mytona almost completely left Yakutsk, along with InDrive, they did it in order to keep being able to work internationally and not depend on Russian politics. That made Fntastic the biggest and best known software developer in Yakutsk. I even considered joining them after being let go from Mytona, but I knew better. Mytona laid off hundreds of people in the past 18 months, I'm sure some of them got to Fntastic.
One of my cousins worked at Fntastic about three years ago. He was making video game levels. He worked for 12 hours a day without being compensated for his extra hours, he said his bosses (the Gotovtsev brothers) would randomly ask him to redo everything just based on the vibes. He was paid enough money by local standards, but nowhere near what a triple A dev should get (about $800/mo).
He burnt out and left. It was his first job in game dev.
As far as I understood, they barely had managers because the Gotovtsevs were controlling everything. I know that just maintaining a mobile game needs a ton of management, discussions, feedback, approvals etc. They had none of that.
The Day Before is built from newly purchased assets and has very little gameplay. It seems like the production process never changed, they kept remaking the game from scratch, only knowing that it should be whatever the latest definition of "cool" is.
Mytona is their publisher and they've already lost a lot of money, first by developing too many new projects at the same time and then none of them making it, then by having to move the entire business abroad, and now by backing Fntastic.
I think I'd call the Gotovtsevs scammers. They lied to everyone, including themselves.
The video below explains how suspicious it was from the very start.

Donald Trump provoked a riot of cryptocurrency trading and accusations of favoritism on Sunday after identifying several coins that may feature in a future US strategic crypto reserve. Alongside bitcoin, Trump said that XRP, solana, cardano, and ether will be considered for inclusion.
“A U.S. Crypto Reserve will elevate this critical industry after years of corrupt attacks by the Biden Administration, which is why my Executive Order on Digital Assets directed the Presidential Working Group to move forward on a Crypto Strategic Reserve that includes XRP, SOL, and ADA,” wrote Trump in a Truth Social post on Sunday.
“And, obviously, BTC and ETH, as other valuable Cryptocurrencies, will be the heart of the Reserve. I also love Bitcoin and Ethereum!” he added two hours later, perhaps to appease the tribes he had forgotten to toast.
An executive order signed by Trump in January had already specified that cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin would be included in the reserve, but the president had not previously identified which coins were under consideration. (The administration has not yet confirmed how large the reserve will be or where coins will come from.)
Seizing upon this morsel of new information, crypto traders piled into the coins singled out by Trump, leading to a sharp but temporary bump in price ranging from 9 to 65 percent. The coins have mostly since returned to roughly the same price as before the announcement.
In crypto circles, meanwhile, the question became: Why had Trump chosen these particular coins? The case for a bitcoin reserve is predicated on the already shaky assumption that the ever-rising price of bitcoin will offset losses in spending power caused by inflation. But what makes these other coins—many of which have very volatile pricing—“strategic”?
The White House press office did not respond immediately to a request for comment.
Some members of the crypto industry, especially bitcoiners, suspect that Trump’s decision-making was colored by the sums of money thrown by particular crypto businesses at the 2024 US election.
In the run-up to the election, crypto businesses funneled more than $150 million into super political action committees set up to support pro-crypto congressional candidates, many of them Republican. Among the most generous donors were cross-border payments company Ripple, whose services rely on XRP, venture capital firm a16z, which has previously invested in Solana, and software company Consensys, run by one of the Ethereum cofounders.
“In the end, I believe the government will come to understand that it makes no sense to include one company’s token over another in a strategic reserve. Only bitcoin has no company to oversee it and is above the bar to be evaluated as a strategic asset,” says Cory Klippsten, founder of bitcoin-only trading platform Swan Bitcoin. “If politicians absolutely must pay back the favors from the last election cycle to their crypto industry donors, perhaps they can add altcoins to a sovereign wealth fund.”
If the US government were to purchase large quantities of the coins to populate the reserve, the price of each is likely to rise. In that regard, their inclusion in the stockpile “looks very much like a government subsidy,” says Patrick Hillmann, former chief strategy officer at crypto exchange Binance. But the preferential treatment is warranted, he argues, in light of the hostile treatment of US crypto businesses by regulators under the Joe Biden administration.
“These [crypto projects] that represent the very core of the American Web3 industry have been held back by all of this litigation and regulatory action—and they’ve fallen behind,” says Hillmann. “The best thing you can do is send a signal to the global marketplace that the US government is embracing these [projects] … It’s the smart play if the administration wants to give the US crypto community a head start.”
Another justification for incorporating these particular cryptocurrencies into the reserve might have something to do with stablecoins, proposes Chris Perkins, managing partner at crypto VC firm CoinFund. Pegged to a dollar valuation by an underlying basket of assets, stablecoins are pitched as a cheaper and faster way to make dollar-denominated payments. Those payments take place on top of crypto networks like Ethereum and Solana, among others.
If stablecoins become as ubiquitous as crypto proponents predict, claims Perkins, it would make sense to hold in reserve the assets required to pay the transaction fees for stablecoin transfers, known in crypto jargon as gas fees. That might explain the proposed inclusion of Solana and Ether in the reserve, he says, if not necessarily the other coins.
“A strategic reserve of a precious commodity is for a specific purpose: To insulate the government or consumers from massive price swings. If you have a material amount of stablecoins on a particular chain, holding a strategic reserve of the gas token is similar to a strategic petroleum reserve,” argues Perkins. “If gas prices surge, it could put the brakes on the economy…Why wouldn’t you want to hold onto gas tokens that allow you to move stablecoins throughout the ecosystem?”
The simplest answer of all might be that Trump selected the coins just because they are American; with the exception of Ether, each was created by developers working out of the US. “We are MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” wrote Trump, in his post about the reserve.
“I think that factored into the administration’s decision-making,” says one crypto industry source, who asked to remain anonymous in order to speak freely about the Trump administration.
But until the working group tasked by Trump in January with evaluating the prospect of a crypto reserve returns its findings, or the wheels begin to turn on the legislation that will likely be required to establish a formal reserve, any inquest remains premature.
“It’s hard to make an adjudication until there’s actually action,” says the source. “Nothing has happened. It’s largely been talk.”

Upselling vs Cross Selling: Which One Drives More Revenue in Shopify?

If you run a Shopify store, you've probably heard about upselling and cross selling as strategies to increase revenue. Both techniques aim to boost the average order value (AOV), but they do so in different ways. While upselling encourages customers to purchase a higher-end version of a product, cross-selling suggests complementary items to enhance their purchase.
But which one is more effective for Shopify merchants?
In this blog, we’ll break down upselling vs cross selling, explore their advantages, and provide actionable tips to implement them effectively.
What is Upselling?
Upselling is a technique that persuades customers to buy a better, upgraded, or premium version of the product they are considering. The main goal of upselling is to maximize the value of a single purchase.
Examples of Upselling:
A customer adds a basic laptop model to their cart, and they are shown a higher-end version with better specs at a discounted rate.
While booking a flight, the airline offers an upgrade to business class for a small extra fee.
A coffee shop suggests getting a large-sized latte instead of a medium one for a slight price difference.
🔹 Why It Works: Customers are already interested in the product, so upgrading for extra features or benefits feels like a natural choice rather than an additional expense.
What is Cross Selling?
Cross-selling involves recommending related or complementary products to the one a customer is purchasing. Instead of upgrading, this technique encourages buyers to add extra items that go well with their current purchase.
Examples of Cross Selling:
A customer buys a mobile phone, and the store suggests adding a phone case and screen protector.
A fashion store recommends a matching belt and shoes when someone buys a suit.
An electronics retailer suggests buying a wireless mouse and keyboard along with a laptop.
🔹 Why It Works: Cross-selling helps customers get a more complete shopping experience by offering items that enhance their primary purchase.
Upselling vs Cross Selling: Which is Better for Shopify?

Both upselling and cross selling help businesses increase revenue, but their effectiveness depends on the type of products you sell and your customer behavior.
1. Customer Buying Intent
Upselling works best when customers are already convinced about buying a product but might consider an upgraded version with more value.
Cross-selling works best when customers are interested in enhancing their shopping experience with complementary products.
2. Impact on Average Order Value (AOV)
Upselling directly increases AOV by replacing a lower-cost product with a higher-priced alternative.
Cross-selling boosts AOV by adding multiple items to the cart, increasing the total spend.
3. Best Use Cases for Shopify Stores
Upselling is ideal for stores selling electronics, software, or high-value products where customers appreciate better specifications.
Cross-selling works well for fashion, beauty, and home decor brands where accessories or add-ons complement the main product.
Pro Tip: The best Shopify stores use both upselling and cross-selling together to maximize their earnings per customer.
How to Implement Upselling and Cross Selling in Your Shopify Store
1. Use a Shopify Cart Upsell App
Manually setting up upsells and cross-sells can be challenging. The easiest way to automate the process is by using a Shopify cart upsell app. These apps allow you to:
✔️ Show upsell offers inside the cart before checkout.
✔️ Display cross-sell recommendations based on customer preferences.
✔️ Provide bundle discounts to encourage higher spending.
✔️ Personalize upsells with AI-driven recommendations.
Checkout this video on how Icart App help you with Implementing Upselling and Cross Selling in your store.
youtube
2. Offer Limited-Time Upsell Deals
Creating urgency can boost upsell conversions. Try offering:
"Upgrade to a Pro Version and Get 10% Off – Offer Ends in 24 Hours!"
"Buy 2 and Get 1 Free – Only Available Today!"
3. Smartly Place Cross-Sell Recommendations
Cross-sell offers work best when they are presented at the right time and place:
Product Pages – Show related products before the customer adds an item to the cart.
Cart Page – Highlight add-ons that enhance the main product.
Checkout Page – Suggest last-minute add-ons before the final purchase.
4. Provide Bundle Discounts
Customers love value-packed deals! Instead of selling items individually, create discounted product bundles, such as:
A "Complete Skincare Kit" (Cleanser + Toner + Moisturizer) at a special price.
A "Gaming Essentials Pack" (Gaming Laptop + Mouse + Headset) with a bundled discount.
Which Strategy Will Make You More Money?

Both upselling and cross selling are effective, but their impact depends on the type of products you sell:
Choose Upselling If:
✔️ Your store sells high-ticket products that have premium upgrades.
✔️ You want to increase profit margins per order.
✔️ Your customers appreciate better versions of what they’re already buying.
Choose Cross Selling If:
✔️ You want to encourage customers to buy related products together.
✔️ Your store focuses on repeat purchases (fashion, accessories, home decor, etc.).
✔️ You want to improve the overall shopping experience by offering complementary products.
The Best Strategy? Use Both! Shopify stores that integrate upsell and cross sell techniques effectively see the highest revenue growth.
Conclusion
Both upselling vs cross selling play an essential role in increasing revenue for Shopify merchants. Upselling focuses on increasing order value by upgrading products, while cross-selling enhances customer satisfaction with related purchases.
To make the most of these strategies, use a Shopify cart upsell app that automates recommendations, displays offers at the right time, and drives higher conversions effortlessly.
Start implementing these sales strategies today and watch your Shopify revenue grow!

Vocal Synth Bio: Second Coming
Natural
General Description: Second Coming (セカンド・カミング) is a vocal synth released in XXXX of XXXX and distributed by XXXX. He is a part of the Color Gang set of vocals and one of the many exclusive vocals released for the Stickfigure Studio engine. His voice is made to sound like a young adult and was the fiprst one to receive an APPEND voicebank in addition to his Natural one (scroll down for more information).
Language(s): English
Natural Voicebank
Tempo: 60 ~ 140 BPM
Range: B² ~ A³
Vocal Traits as noted:
• His voice is considered to be very versatile and high quality due to his wide range and tempo.
• The voicebank is ideal for rock, EDM, and Synth-pop genres.
• Having him as a main singer is recommended for best results.
• Just like all the other vocals of his line, this voicebank is considered to be beginner friendly because of how easy it is to tune even by those with not much skill.
Software Issues as noted:
• The voicebank has a habit of occasionally going out of key on its own when singing certain notes.
• Even with his wide range of keys, there are certain notes that he will not be able to hit properly without his APPEND voicebank.
• His voice has a habit of suddenly cutting off at the end of long notes.
‘D’ and ‘V’ consonants can sound muffled or weak at certain points.
APPEND
APPEND VOICEBANK
Tempo: 90 ~ 200 BPM
Range: G² ~ C⁴
Vocal Traits as noted:
• This voicebank is an APPEND of his natural voicebank and is even more versatile than his natural one due to increased tempo and range.
• Theoretically, he is able to sing any genre.
• This voicebank can fit any role as a main, solo, or backup singer.
• Unlike his natural voicebank, this one requires a decent amount of skill in order to make sound good. It's highly recommended for beginners not to purchase this as their first vocal synth.
Software Issues as noted:
• Even more notes go out of tune on their own with this APPEND. It's been measured consistently that one in every five notes go out of tune on their own and will require additional tuning.
• When near the limits of how deep or high the voicebank can go, it will start to sound slightly glitched. This can be resolved with a few setting adjustments, however.
• When auto-breath is on, the voicebank breathes between every single pause.
• ‘Ki’, ‘Vi’, ‘Da’, and ‘Ch’ phonemes can sound muffled or weak regardless of the setting(s) selected.
…
“Wait…that voice. It sounds…exactly like mine.”

What Is a White Label Product and How Does It Work?
It's possible that products offered by some of the most well-known corporations in the world are not as uncommon as you might think. The company that actually produces their branded products is an outsider that markets the same things under different labels. White labelling is a well-known commercial strategy that is applied to numerous consumer product categories.
What does white label mean?
The practice of producing goods and marketing them under several brand names is known as "white labelling." Although white label products may differ in terms of branding, packaging, logos, and even prices, but their fundamental architecture remains the same. Limited product customization options, such as adding a brand logo or design on a product's exterior, may be available from white label manufacturers. In exchange for large orders, they might also give retailers discounts. After a purchase, products from other white label services, such print-on-demand businesses, are shipped straight to customers.
What are white label products?
White label products are produced by a different company than the one that markets or even sells them. The benefit is that multiple businesses can handle different aspects of the product development and sales process. Depending on their area of competence and inclination, three firms can concentrate on different aspects of the product: producing, marketing, and selling. The main advantages of white label branding for businesses are the time, energy, and financial savings on production and marketing expenses.
Another significant benefit of private label brands is that if a supermarket has an exclusive agreement with a manufacturer, the company may have cheaper average transportation costs and distributional economies of scale. The shop was able to offer the product for less and still make a larger profit margin due to decreased delivery expenses.
The rise in popularity of private label products indicates that customers are becoming less devoted to their preferred established brands and more price-conscious. The rise of private label brands in several nations is negatively impacting the market share of national brands or manufacturers.
White Label Branding Examples-
Electronics Industry:
Electronics manufacturers frequently white label their goods under different brand names. For example, a manufacturer may make tablets or smartphones for businesses that rebrand and sell the products under their own name.
Beauty and Personal Care:
The beauty and personal care industries are big on white labeling. A large number of private label cosmetic firms’ contract with other manufacturers to make their goods; these manufacturers create white label products and package them under the private label brands' names.
Grocery and Retail:
Frequently found in supermarkets and big-box stores, white label products are produced by outside vendors and marketed under the supermarket's own name. These consumer goods include everything from food products like snacks and canned foods to cleaning supplies and household goods.
Payment Processing:
White label payment processing solutions are frequently provided by payment gateway providers. This makes it possible for companies to seamlessly integrate the payment gateway into their operations and provide their clients payment processing services under their own identity.
Software:
Numerous web hosting providers provide best white label solutions that can be altered and rebranded by other enterprises. Email marketing platforms offer white-label software alternatives that enable agencies to sell email marketing services under their own brand.
Financial Services:
Financial institutions sell financial services and goods to other businesses under a white label. White labeling branded credit cards, prepaid cards, and even banking solutions are examples of this, in which the partner company's branding and client experience are tailored.
Web Hosting:
White label hosting is a service that many web hosting providers provide. Because of this, resellers are able to offer web hosting packages under their own brands, with the main web hosting provider handling the setup and maintenance for the web hosting.
A huge number of people have discovered their calling in the web hosting industry, which has grown to be quite large. With over 126 million web hosting companies based there, its valuation is predicted to reach over $83 billion by 2021. White label hosting is a component of that sector. Reseller hosting is directly related to it.
It becomes an affordable option for small businesses to enter the web hosting industry and launch their own web hosting company when paired with white label reseller hosting. In order to help you resale hosting and launch your business, we will go over the steps and information you need to know in this post.
White Label Reseller Hosting: What Is It?
Finding a parent provider to purchase resources from and selling their servers, bandwidth, RAM, and other components are examples of this. You should not handle the technical specifications, server management, or maintenance on your own. It essentially lets you run your own web hosting company without having to deal with all the difficult technical aspects. Many providers also have their own reseller programs because it has become a popular choice among users.
Working of white label reseller hosting?
You need to first find a parent provider and buy a reseller plan in order to receive web hosting services if you want to engage in the white label web hosting industry and operate a reseller hosting website. Once you've selected a parent company, you can launch your hosting company.
With white label web hosting, you want to charge your clients more than you did when you bought the reseller plan and acquired the required resources from your parent provider. By doing this, you avoid having to spend any time or money on your own server setup or other resource purchases.
What does White label Reseller Hosting include?
User-Friendly Control Panel
An essential tool for managing websites is a user-friendly control panel. You can make backend changes and, if required, provide the client access via control panel access.
Scalable
If your clientele is growing or you're in charge of a website that needs more server power, reseller hosting should allow you to increase server resources.
Integrated Billing
WHM billing software, which enables you to bill your clients and oversee their payment schedules, is included in the majority of reseller accounts. Thanks to this, making sure your clients pay you on time is no longer a burden.
Integration of Domain and Email
With reseller accounts, you can sell domain names and email account upgrades. These can elevate your services when included in your hosting packages.
Private Name Servers
Thanks to private name servers, your brand and the hosting provider whose servers you're using will become more distinct.
Website hosting always remains in demand. White label hosting allows you to give your clients the choice of operating their server without requiring you to handle any of the expensive or challenging aspects of it.
Make sure to conduct thorough research before deciding on the ideal reseller plan for your company. Locate a reputable host that can provide the ideal server environment for you and your clients.
How White Label Solution Is Better?
There are a number of reasons why white label products might be the best option for your company as a business.
No risk
There is always some risk involved in starting your own business, but part of that danger can be reduced by white labelling your products. Because you're not spending as much money on creating a new product, risk is reduced.
Therefore, you won't lose as much money if the product doesn't work out in the market as you would if you had started from begin with its development. Select a white label product from a reliable supplier to further reduce your risk.
Improved quality assurance
Lastly, you may be confident that white label products will have superior quality control than those that you would make yourself. This is because, compared to you, the white label manufacturer is probably going to have a stronger quality control procedure.
Furthermore, since the white label manufacturer probably produces labels for other businesses, it usually has a group of quality control specialists on staff who can guarantee that the product fulfills your requirements.
Quicker to launch
White label products are also preferred since it can be considerably quicker to bring a product to market with them than it is to design one from the ground up. Once more, this is because you're just rebranding an already-existing product—the production process isn't being started from scratch. Hence, white labelling can be a fantastic choice if you want to launch a product rapidly.
The time to market is the largest advantage of white labelling. It can take months, or even years, to develop a product from scratch, find a manufacturer, and bring it to market. White labelling allows you to expedite that procedure and get your goods onto the market much faster.
More adaptability
Additionally, white label products provide more freedom than creating your own product. For instance, you still have control over the product's logo, packaging, and marketing if you white label it.
This implies that you can design a special product for your brand and customize it to your target market. Furthermore, even if you have less control over the production process, you still have a great deal of influence on how your customers are shown the goods.
Affordable
White label products are popular because they are an affordable means of launching a business. Best White labelling can be a big benefit, especially for small businesses, as it eliminates the upfront expenditures associated with product development, production, and marketing.
The largest financial benefit of white labelling, is that there are no expenses associated with product development or marketing. Rather, you're simply capitalizing on the success of another company's product, allowing you to launch your firm with less overhead and more swiftly."
Lower requirements for minimum orders
also typically have lower minimum order quantities than if you were to produce the product yourself. This is so that the white label manufacturer won't have to start a new production line just to fill your little request because they already have the product in stock.
Therefore, white label products can be a terrific choice if you're just getting started and don't need many products.
Conclusion-
White label products are produced by a same business, then packaged and marketed by other businesses under different brand names. It has been profitable for big-box stores to provide white label products with their own branding.
Since the late 1990s, private label branding has become a global phenomenon that has grown gradually. White label branding offers businesses a number of advantages, including reduced production and marketing expenses, time, and energy expenditures.
