Jesus, our Great Shepherd, is leading us through our days and our nights. He is the One who truly cares for us and is watching over us for good. He loves us and desires that we stay close to Him. Apart from His guiding presence, we become the prey of evil that lurks on every side.
We cannot make it through life in our own strength; it is way too small. Our Great Shepherd is our Savior and Lord, who has called us to His perfect rest.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters. He restores
my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness
for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow
of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your
rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my
enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of
my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Hebrews 13:20-21
Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

"Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture." - Psalms 100:3 NIV
Today, I'm reminded of God's mercy. He understands the bits and pieces of my life right now that is not necessarily a hardship but harder to experience. And I've seen how he relieves those moments for me so that I can endure these parts a lot better.

Love is a verb!
Love is more than a verb.
“Love is a verb”, the bumper sticker on the car that sped past me said.
That is true. Love is not just a noun, an abstract feeling that we hold, but love means action.
But as the car vanished from my sight, the bumper sticker lingered on in my thoughts for a while. One part of me agreed that love is more than a feeling; but is love only a verb—the act of loving? The bumper sticker is lying or…

Jesus said, "It is finished." John 19:30
When Jesus lifted up His voice and said, " It is finished," He did not mean His life was ebbing away or God's plan had been foiled. Though death was near, Jesus realized the last obstacle had been hurdled and the last enemy destroyed. He had successfully and triumphantly completed the task of redemption. With the words, "It is finished," He announced that Heaven's door was open. Kingdoms and empires come and go, but the cross and all it stands for will always remain towering over the wrecks of time!

Dear Lord, help me to not be afraid. Make me strong against worry and fear and bring peace. Lord, I don't want to be a worrier, I want to be a warrior for you. Thank you for fighting for me when I struggle to do it myself. I pray this all in Jesus' powerful name. Amen!

But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”
— Matthew 19:14 NLT
The artist behind this was a sweet little boy I had the opportunity to do life with. A year ago, he left this world which caused a lot of sadness for everyone, including me. But this verse helps me think of all the good things I got to learn through this little guy. Although he did not speak many words, his love for his favorite people was evident through his actions. Although people saw a disability, he showed many that he was able to do all that he set his heart to (like eating as many sour patches any time I turned away for a few seconds). This tiny human faced many barriers, but it was through God’s grace that we got to witness him do things many people thought he couldn’t do. I’ll forever miss our many art sessions together and fighting for the chalk every time he started licking it. Although it would get overwhelming, working with him was truly the best. Until we meet again, I’ll forever be grateful for this little one.
