we got another two years prob till link click season 3 so i'm gon talk about everything i love about this series thanks

human trafficking rep. holy shit. a more realistic approach to the mental trauma involved for all parties.

the VAs slapped, regardless of what sub/dub you pick, they all slayed

suicide awareness. so many shows shy away from this when trauma/etc are very real and suicide is often faced as an option. link click takes this and goes "hell no. live. FUXKING LIVE NO MATTER WHAT" and it's 11/10. you're loved. please. stay.

the bonds. not a lot of fiction anymore just shows GENUINE relationships. it's either abusive shit or fluffy shit -- neither are 'good' or realistic. but link click comes along and has functioning adult relationships that Still have issues and problems and arguments and disagreements bUT love is still present in those relationships bc they're healthy

it's also a reminder that genuine love / relationships aren't based on what you can give, etc. (as adults i think we forget this often and we feel we have to deserve a relationship; link click says f this)

a big theme of the story is making mistakes!!!!! so many fictional stories either 1) take the 'aw i messed up again:(' approach or 'my mc can do NOTHING incorrect or wrong ever' and they suck, lol. link click is a great balance of yes, we messed up, but we move forward.

link click also is a solid example of "yeah, sometimes life is shit! you try your best! it doesn't always matter!!!" but not in a "so d/e" way but in a "even so, still try, still love, because knowing you can't control shouldn't instill fear but bravery"

LING IS A POSITIVE FEMALE CHARACTER THAT DOESNT CONSTANTLY HAVE TO SHIT ON MEN TO BE IN THE STORY --

death and grief handled in a realistic way tbh

the occasional laugh and smile and just the humor is pure

the tension and intrigue is the best written and portrayed i've seen and i'll die on this hill sorry

the concept of time travel is popular, but i haven't found anything to tackle the emotional / MORAL consequences like link click has. "SHOULD you change the past? IS IT OK to change the past?" we've all seen "oh no we changed the past we must fix it!!!" but I've never seen "the past, the present, and the future are heartbreaking and gut-wrenching and stunning and precious and beautiful as they are" but HUMAN NATURE remains and our desires continue to be to remove the heartbreak and pain. is that morally wrong or not?

I've seen the news about the Funimation anime apocalypse. Unfortunately, a very similar thing is happening to Bilibili comics too.

They are shutting down their international branch, because apparently it wasn't profitable enough. It means that whoever paid for their manhua translation chapters are going to lose access to it. They were translating the tgcf manhua and I was reading multiple manhuas there, so my heart is breaking now 💔

The only thing that's left is truly piracy ☠️ I try to access stuff legally whenever I can, but it showed this time too, that me purchasing a Chinese physical copy of the tgcf manhua was a way better decision. A company can't take away that from me any time.

Bilibili is shutting down.

I had the plans that after I visit china at the end of this year I'd be able to buy all the comics that I could read for free there.

I've been crying non-stop since I found out. Titles like Heaven official's blessings, a single strike shimmering Forrest, Mr. Dior, salad days and endless other titles I read, which blessed me with such precious times. I don't know whether they will be lost forever or found again. Like they are invaluable arts. How do we preserve them, how do we support them. I feel so worthless for not being able to support from where I am.

I've said this before, again I recommend Bilibili Comics app as a study/reading option if you're learning chinese

1. Manhua will be an easier read than novels at first.

2. The app rewards you with stuff to dress up and customize your avatar every chapter you read, and if you like dressing up an avatar this can motivate you to finish reading chapters more

3. The app does eventually stop showing you free chapters after a certain period, then will show you more free the next day. So if you're afraid you'll never stop reading once you start, that can be a timer to tell you it's okay to stop reading now (which is just nice if you say normally might read 100 chapters of comics some days if nothing stopped you). You can KEEP reading if you get this message fyi, you just need to go to a new comic. It only locks newer chapters under a "can only read X chapters free until the next day" thing. You can also purchase chapters to keep reading if you set that up and want to.

3. Tons of free comics in English and Chinese. So you can read the chinese version, then check the English translation version to double check your understanding or fill in any gaps in following the story you had. (I personally look up words by writing them in google translate app if I'm really stuck, Pleco app ocr reader tool is a faster way to click unknown words while reading, but I also appreciate you can just go check the English version of the comic whenever needed/wanted since the English translation is professional the full sentence translations may be helpful sometimes)

4. It's got bl and gl comics and many other genres, so plenty to read that may be of interest. I'm reading tgcf, poyun, some popular bl manhua, dmbj manhua, and some horror comics. (Unrelated but bilibili.com has animated manhua videos now with voice acting and it's another good place to consume manhua).

5. Again I can't emphasize enough how much the app rewarding you by giving you dress up items for how much you read is a great feature. If you need quick rewards to motivate you to read/study then this feature is so helpful. I imagine it was built into the app to keep people reading comics longer, and you can use it to your advantage to get this gamified element to get you reading chinese longer. Even days I don't want to read anything or study at all, if I open the bilibili comics app the promise of cool new clothes for my avatar usually motivates me to at least read a chapter of a manhua. That could be useful if more motivations to study are helpful.

Working on using all my bilibili coins....so many comics I can't finish because no more coin buying. And some of them they want a lot to skip the timer. At least I finished Fall in Mistaken Love and Losing Weight for my Highness. Got caught up on Game Loading.
