Tips for Maintaining Your Inlay Flooring
To ensure that your inlay flooring remains in pristine condition, follow these maintenance tips:
1. Regular Cleaning
Regularly sweep or vacuum your inlay flooring to remove dirt and debris. Use a damp mop with a gentle cleaning solution to keep the surface clean and shiny.
2. Avoid Harsh Chemicals
Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning tools, as these can damage the delicate inlays and the marble surface. Opt for pH-neutral cleaners specifically designed for natural stone.
3. Protect from Heavy Furniture
Use protective pads under heavy furniture to prevent scratches and dents. When moving furniture, lift it instead of dragging it across the floor.
4. Seal the Surface
Depending on the type of marble used, sealing the surface periodically can help protect it from stains and moisture. Consult with Stone Art By SKL for the best sealing products and maintenance schedule for your specific flooring.

Properties of Indian and Italian Marble
Pros & Cons of Marble
While the most significant advantage of marble is its aesthetic appeal, it does come with a lot of drawbacks.
Manufacturer of Imported Marble – Statuario White Italian Marble, Black Marquina Marble Polished 20MM
Imported marble is one of the best heat resistant marble, its oldest and best quality Imported marble. Imported marble excellent features just like fine finish, smooth polish, and aesthetic look make its demand in the market.  We are direct from our own mines and manufacturing plant in leading marble city Kishangarh Rajasthan India.
Marble is a porous stone and is prone to stains. Chemically, it is made of calcium carbonate, a basic salt that can react with an acidic material. That’s why citrus juices can corrode the surface and make it susceptible to small pits. For this reason, granite is preferred over marble for kitchen countertops.
As marble is a natural stone, deeper layers of the stone could have fissures and cracks which may not be visible on the surface. As a result, the slabs you buy may sometimes come with a high percentage of wastage.
Marble is prone to scratches and heavy or sharp objects should not be moved on the floor. Unless you have experts laying the stone, it may not be done perfectly. Over a period of time, marble can wear away and develop hairline cracks due to weight or pressure. This is more common in Italian marble. However, many people feel this adds to the charm as the stone ages. Marble is more expensive than granite, vitrified, or ceramic tiles.
Imported marble, Indian Marble and Italian Marble Costs
Marble from Italy is among the finest in the world and is accordingly priced—with the cheapest varieties starting from Rs 150 per square foot, and the more exclusive, fine stones costing even Rs 4000 for a square foot. Creamy Calacatta marble with its feathery veins and Carrara are classified as Group A. These are available only at the lower depths of quarries. They are highly-priced as they have very few fissures running through the stone. Indian marble is much more cost-effective, with the lower-end prices starting at Rs 150 per square foot.
When calculating the costs, you will also need to include the prices of cutting the slabs to size and laying it in your required pattern. This will come to around 150 per square foot inclusive of the fixing material. Marble inlay work requires very specialized craftsmen to do the work. Depending on how intricate the design is, costs can go up to Rs 2,500 per square foot. Finally, the marble needs to be polished with fine stones of carborundum and buffed and sealed with tin oxide. This polishing costs approximately Rs 40 per square foot.
Trending Ideas in Marble:
Marble is primarily used in flooring and cladding in upmarket homes, office lobbies, and hotels. It is not preferred for external use, especially not in polluted areas, as it can get damaged. Marble has always traditionally been used in sculptures and artwork – like this serene seated Buddha. It is also used on tabletops, in mantelpieces, and in smaller pieces of décor like trays, soap dispensers, and so on.
Cleaning Tips for Marble:
Marble is a stone that requires a high degree of maintenance to keep it looking good. Its porous nature makes it very prone to scratches and stains, and such imperfections show up all too well against a polished surface. Here are some maintenance tips:
Acidic substances like vinegar, lime, and tomato will stain the marble, so wipe up any spills immediately.
Use diluted organic cleaners that are environmentally friendly and do not contain any chemicals.
Seal the surface regularly with a sealant that forms a protective barrier. When water stops beading on the surface, it’s time to re-seal.
Every few years, marble should be re-polished with carborundum stone and tin oxide, to restore the surface luster.
The water used for mopping the floor should not be hard or contain any chemicals.
To conclude, Italian marble, as well as imported marble and Indian marble, has its own niche for interiors and exteriors. Though Italian marbles have gained popularity over the time Indian marbles are also becoming popular in the same pattern these days. Therefore choose the right marble based on your style and preference.
We Import Italian marbles from Italy and manufacture Indian marbles in Kishangarh. The company has the best imported Italian marble design and for its quality, with quantity.

Come Back to Me
A/N: I thought this chapter might actually be the death of me, guys, no lie. But, by some miracle, I am still here and so are these characters. One more chapter, ya’ll. ONE. MORE. (phewwwwww)
Pairings: Drake x Claire, Jackson x Bianca, Bastien x Annabelle
Warning: gun violence, character death, angst out the wazoo
no music for this one. silence. deafening silence.
The room was dark and empty and for a moment he couldn't quite place where he was standing. There didn’t appear to be any walls, just an endless expanse of deep black oblivion all around him. He took a step forward and the hard soles of his shoes slapped against the marble floor loudly. He looked down and recognized the intricate golden inlay- a seven pointed star, one point for each of the seven duchies, with a Cordonian Ruby at the center. He was in the palace ballroom. He looked up and sure enough the enormous crystal chandelier glittered down at him. He was starting to wonder where everyone was, was starting to realize that something was not right, when he turned and saw her. She was standing alone in the middle of the floor in her white gown, the silver embellishments twinkling like stars in the heavenly light that shone around her. He felt happiness spread through him as he made his way towards her, forgetting his worry that something was wrong, reaching out to take her hand in his. "Berkley," he whispered as he brushed his lips to her knuckles. "May I have this dance?" she nodded, not really meeting his eyes, and he couldn't understand why she looked so sad. He circled his arm around her and drew her in. She laid her cheek against his chest and brought her free hand up to his shoulder, running her fingertips over the fabric of his jacket. Drake’s eyes fell to his right hand, fingers twined with hers, his thick and knobby, hers thin and delicate. He started to sweep her across the floor, simply content to have her in his arms. Who knew I’d like dancing so much? Just needed the right partner, he thought, closing his eyes and breathing her in, feeling her lean her slight weight into his body.
For a few beats they swayed together, his hand pressed to the small of her back as she continued to run her fingers over his shoulder and chest. Drake opened his eyes and looked down at her. His heart plummeted into his stomach as he realized her cheeks were wet with tears. “Hey, Berkley, don’t cry. What’s wrong?” He ran his hand up and down her back soothingly, the fabric of her dress smooth against his palm.
“I love you, Drake,” she mumbled softly. “I love you. I love you, you have to come back to me.”
Come back to her? What does that mean? He shook his head slightly, his forehead wrinkling with confusion. “I’m right here, Berkley. I love you, I’m right here, not going anywhere. Wherever you are, remember?” He looked down at the heart shaped charm hanging from her neck.
She seemed not to hear him, despite her closeness as she pressed even closer to his chest. Her eyes were following her fingers, now tracing two circles where his chest meets his shoulder. “I love you,” she just mumbled again. “You have to fight, Drake. You're so strong...you have to fight.”
He was about to ask her what she meant again when something in his peripheral vision caught his eye and he whipped his head around to see what it was. They weren't alone, after all. Laughter, sounding far away as though traveling through a tunnel, underwater, through time. The swish of a skirt as two more dancers came into view, smiles on their faces, on their lips and in their eyes, floating across the floor. Is that...how can... He looked down at Claire. She hadn't seemed to notice the other couple gliding across the floor. His eyes found their way back to them and he realized he knew exactly who and what he was looking at. My parents...my...dad...
As suddenly as he found himself standing in the ballroom, he was transported out of his body, watching the two couples- himself and Claire, and his mother and father- twirling on the floor from the doorway. He realized that he was watching a memory, his own memory. He was maybe seven, and he and Liam had sneaked back downstairs to pilfer more desserts after having been sent to bed an hour ago. They were on their way to the kitchens when they passed the open door of the ballroom, music, and the musicality of laughter and clinking glasses and revelry spilling out. He was caught, like a spell, like a trance, as his eyes landed on his mother and father dancing among the royals and the nobles. His mother's mouth was open wide in surprise as his father turned her under his arm sending the light blue skirt of her gown swirling around her ankles. The look on his father's face was pure joy, dark eyes lit with love and happiness as his wife leaned in to kiss him upon returning to the hold. Before he could react to what he was seeing, he was back, his arms around Claire, her tears against his shirt, her mumbled “I love you,” in his ears.
He wanted to tell her it was alright, wanted to wipe her tears away, wanted her to look up, to see his parents, to meet them. As he opened his mouth to speak, a third couple danced into view, and he squinted in their direction as they came closer. Bastien? But he looks...young... But there was no mistaking the silver eyes of the man he'd always known to be a part of his life. He was much younger here, his face not yet set into the stern mask he wore now. In his arms was a lithe young woman, brightness in her eyes, her copper hair cascading in soft curls down her back. She looks so familiar...I know her...she's...she was... but he couldn't remember her name. The girl laid her head against Bastien's chest and he rested his head atop hers lovingly. Drake could taste the young woman's name on the tip of his tongue, knew that somehow she had been part of his life, too. But it flew away, just out of reach, like a bluebird taking wing.
“You have to wake up, Drake.” His attention was brought back to the woman in his own arms. Her eyes were focused up at him, red rimmed but alert. She took the hand that had been on his chest and brought it to his face. He leaned into the feel of her touch, his skin tingling where it was met with hers. “I love you, and you love me, and you can't leave me now... we still...you're still...Drake, you have to come back to me, please.”
“Berkley,” he breathed, feeling a tear slip down his own cheek at the pain and pleading in her voice. What does she mean? Why doesn't she understand? I'm here, I'm right here and I'd never...
His thoughts were interrupted again by a loud bang, shattering the splendor, and a scream, piercing the picture. He felt Claire shudder and held her tighter to his chest. That was a gunshot. His heart pounded and his pupils dilated and he realized that while they’d been dancing it had been getting dimmer and dimmer around them. Another scream, another bang, and then he saw; his father on the ground, his mother sobbing as she slowly faded away from the ballroom; Bastien clutching his arm, stumbling, the copper haired girl, eyes flooded with tears as she slipped out the back door.
Dad... Bas...
The chandelier crashed down behind him, sending shards of glass all over the floor. Drake moved to shield Claire with his body only to realize she was no longer in his arms. No, where is she? “Claire,” he choked out her name as the air cleared she came into view, just a few feet in front of him. He opened his arms, ready to scoop her back into them, to protect her, get her out of here. As his foot left the ground to take a step towards her, he saw her lips drop open in a scream, one word, “No!” followed by his name, as her eyes went wide and focused on his chest. He hadn’t heard the third shot, or the fourth, hadn’t felt them pierce his shoulder blade, tear through artery and bone, through the front of his shoulder and pectoral muscles. He hadn’t felt any of it, just a need to be near her. He looked down to his jacket. Where a boutonniere might adorn his pocket, two bright red stains were blooming instead.
When he brought his eyes back up to Claire, he was looking at her from the ground. She was calling out to him frantically, but something, someone was dragging her away.
“This can’t keep happening, Drake.” A voice filled his ears as the last bit of light left the ballroom. Who... Bastien? And as Claire vanished from view the voice, Bastien’s voice spoke once more. “Bianca, Annabelle, Claire...” Annabelle, that’s right. “Don’t let this place tear you from her, break your love apart. Drake, you have to wake up.”
He felt his eyes slip closed, felt the world shrink. “This can’t keep happening” bouncing around the inside of his skull, “I love you, Drake, come back to me,” etching itself in his heart.
How? How do I get back to her? I need to, but how?
“Please Drake, you have to wake up.”
.  .  .  .  .
An inhale through his nose. Sterile, clean. But also, daises, lemongrass, her.
A deep ache in his chest. Burning, spreading. But also, a change to the rhythm of his heart, a skip as it found it’s mate, hers.
His eyes opened slowly. Blinding, dry. But there she was. Another inhale, less pain, as his eyes found her hand wrapped around his. Another thump of his heart, pumping warmth and life and love through him. His heavy eyelids fell closed again but he pried them open again to drink her in. She was really there, he’d made it back to her. Her cheek was resting against the bed where he lay, her eyes closed, soft golden hair feathered out against the white sheets. White sheets, white walls, hospital. He was distantly aware of beeps and hums, of a bulky bandage wrapped tightly around his upper torso and left shoulder, and a much smaller one wrapped around his right hand. He was aware of that dull, deep digging feeling in his back and chest and bicep. But he blinked again and felt her breath on his fingers and he tried to squeeze her hand but couldn’t. He needed to look in her eyes though, needed to hear her voice, needed her to hear his. He attempted to clear his throat. it felt like he’d swallowed broken bits of glass but he didn’t care. “Berkley,” he managed, using all the strength he had to make his voice as loud as he could.
She stirred, a small hum from the back of her throat, a sniff as she moved her head. “Berkley,” said again, this time more clearly, this time less painfully. Her eyes snapped open and she let out a gasp as they met his. My girl, there she is. “Good morning, Berkley”. He didn’t know if it was morning. Didn’t matter.
“Dr-Drake?” Her voice wavered as she gasped again, her fingers tightening on his, the blue pools of her eyes deepening like the sea. “Drake! Oh, god, Drake! Drake, you... you’re awake, oh my god,” she scrambled to stand, to get closer to him. Her hands both went to his face and he closed his eyes as he felt her forehead rest against his own. “You came back to me,” she whispered, “I knew you’d come back to me.”
There was pain, some confusion, as flashes of what he could remember and what he’d just dreamed traded places and danced through his head. But relief was flooding his veins along with the medication, just to feel her close to him, to know that they were still together. Wherever she is, so am i.
“I’ll always come back to you, Berkley,” he whispered, his throat still sore but the words he needed to say mattered more to him than the discomfort. “Always.” She was kissing him gently on his eyelids, his temple, the crest of his cheek. “I love you, Gra Go Deo, I love you forever.” Forever. He wouldn’t let anything break that, wouldn’t let anything tear her away from him or him from her.
Jackson and Bianca. Bastien and Annabelle. The dangers of the Cordonian court had torn them apart. But it wouldn't happen again. Not to Drake and Claire. He felt a smile form as he took another breath, as her lips and her hands and her words fell all over him. There was still a lot he didn’t know, still a long road to healing ahead of him, but he was here, alive, in the arms of his soul mate meaning that she was there, alive, and that was all that mattered. He could endure anything with her by his side. That’s what love was, what he had learned it to be.
.  .  .  .
Bastien’s phone had vibrated in his pocket just minutes before Drake had woken up, and he’d stepped out of the room to take the call. Closing the door softly behind him, he answered the call he’d been waiting for since he promised it to Liam almost 48 hours prior.  But he’d managed to do better than a secure line. “Hello? Leo? Have you landed?” A pause and then, “A car will be there any minute to pick you up. See you soon.” He hung up the phone and walked past the other room on the private wing, Liam’s. The King was resting, Lady Olivia by his side. He let out a breath, glad that Liam would have his brother soon, would have his family to help him through everything that had happened.
Just then, A nurse ran towards Drake’s room, then another, and Bastien felt the air grow still. Don’t let this happen again, he silently pleaded as a doctor entered Drake’s room and he hovered closer to the room. No whining beep of a flatline, no wailing or screaming from Claire. He held his breath until his feet took him to the door and he peered inside to see Drake and Claire, their eyes locked on one another while the doctor took vitals and made notes.
Olivia poked her head out into the hallway, catching Bastien’s eye. “Is he...?” Her eyes were sharp and her tone was even but her quick, almost gasping breaths were giving her away.
“He’s awake,” Bastien told her, and they both  felt peace settle into their hearts. Bastien cleared his throat and headed for the waiting area, settling back into one of the chairs he’d sat in with Claire and Olivia.
The Duchess was only a few paces behind him, carrying Claire’s phone. He watched her    dial a number before she covered the speaker and said “Claire’s family,” pointing to the phone. Bastien nodded. “Hi, Dan, it’s Olivia... I just wanted you to know... he’s awake.” A pause. “Yes,” she wiped at her eyes and nodded at what Dan was saying. “Yes I think you should. I think... I think she’d like that.” They spoke for a minute or two more before he heard her say “Bye Dan... see you soon.”

The King of Gods Part 3
Tumblr media
The light coming through the windows had begun to fade. Along the walls, sconces with glowing orbs illuminated the palace corridors, adding to the strange ethereal aesthetic of the nordic world of Asgard.
Finally, it was time to meet Odin and learn why he had brought you and Loki to a world that seemed too surreal to exist. You followed Elsa as she spoke with Baldur, oblivious to whatever they were discussing. You were too wrapped up in your own thoughts, trying to reason yourself calm, saying that if the king of gods had meant any harm he wouldn't have bothered inviting you both here. This didn't quite feel like an execution, and you had both been received fairly well since arriving to Asgard. Surely you were safe?
But all you could do was wonder. It was more than likely Odin knew what had truly transpired in the palace when Frigga was killed, which was less than comforting. He had thrown Loki out of his home for simply not using better judgement and allowing Hela to come to the castle, which ultimately resulted in Frigga's death. Everyone had originally believed Hela to be the one to kill the queen but now the truth was out. Though it was by her doing, it was in fact Loki’s blade that had pierced Frigga’s heart. What would the king of gods do to Loki now that he knew the truth the god of mischief had gone to such lengths to hide?
You looked up from your feet, trying your damnedest not to be afraid.
Loki didn't need you afraid. He needed you brave.
After concentrating on your breathing- slowly in, slowly out- you let loose one last calming sigh.
There was nothing to fear.
You were both safe and that’s what mattered. Besides, Thor had spent the last few months in Asgard helping soothe over the news with their father. Perhaps this was all a way of easing the tension between them. Perhaps this is what needed to be done for them to all come to terms with what had happened.
Looking up, you made yourself believe everything was okay.
Everything was fine.
That's when you realized Baldur and Elsa, in their own conversation, had began whispering. You tried to discreetly listen, but once they noticed you were paying attention, they both flashed you a quick smile.
“How are you enjoying Asgard so far?” the blue eyed man asked, shrugging the white shawl on his shoulder. “I can't imagine what it must look to a Midgardian who wasn't raised here.”
“Its lovely,” you answered mechanically. Not that it wasn't, the elegance of the smooth marble floors, the high ceilings with golden inlay trim, the glow of the strange light fixtures all added to the awe of the palace.
“I'll have to take you shopping,” Elsa beamed while hooking arms with you. “I’m sure Baldur won’t mind buying you some dresses from the market, would you?”
Baldur narrowed his eyes but ultimately laughed and agreed.
Your unconsciously ran a hand very the front of the gown you borrowed from Elsa, still mesmerized by the simple yet extravagant design. The material was a bit thinner than silk but felt just as smooth on your skin. Around your waist the green fabric was paired with black designs that wrapped around your hips and crawled up your ribs where the gown then opened up to a black metal that pinned the gown together on your shoulders and down your forearms.
In a million years you would never have dreamt you would be dressed like this in the world of gods.
You finally came around the side of the throne room, recognizing. this particular set of columns and tapestries from earlier. The beating of your heart sped up as you realized Loki must be just around the corner. While you appreciated Elsa for all her help, you wanted to find Loki. It felt odd not being at his side in his own world, knowing he must be feeling all sorts of mixed emotions from being here for the first time since Frigga’s death.
Before you could step through to the main hall, Baldur put a hand on your shoulder and gave you a stern look.
“Now, lady y/n. It’s very important that I express a few particulars before you meet His Highness.”
You straightened up to face him, uncertain you could handle any more weight on your shoulders.
“You see, it’s best not to speak when he is speaking to you. If he asks you something or you are expected to respond, do so politely, but also keep it short. He tends to be impatient, so make sure to be on point when you answer. Also, when you first come before him, bow. Proper etiquette is to cross one foot over the other, bow your knees and tilt down your head. Elsa?” You looked over and watched as the lovely blonde did as he instructed step by step, managing to lower herself with extreme grace. “Now you try.”
Your brow creased. Being an American reporter, you didn’t really meet royalty often so while the rules seemed a bit excessive, it wasn’t your place to question their culture. You crossed your ankles, bowed your knees and titled your head. There was an uneasy shake in your legs you couldn’t suppress, poor muscle buildup made you curse yourself for not taking the stairs more at work.
Baldur sighed, “It’ll have to do.”
Your eyes cut up at him, but you kept quiet and waited even more anxiously to go in. That’s when you noticed some peculiar sounds: muffled voices, soft paters of footsteps, even a horn out in the distance.
What was going on in that room?
Weren't you just here to speak to Odin?
Your mind was torn away at the feeling of a hand taking hold of yours. Whipping around on the ball of your heels, you were more than happy to see Loki standing there. He was still dressed in his leather garb with the crown of horns resting on his brow, but now he wore a thicker, heavier cape with golden clasps tying it around his shoulders with a thick chestplate. He didn’t look like just a god. He looked like a king.
“It’s a bit much, isn’t it?” he laughed nervously. You closed your mouth, realizing you had been gawking at him. “But you?” He took hold of both hands, holding them out so he could take you all in. “You look absolutely breathtaking, darling.” Leaning in he planted a soft kiss on your forehead. Just like that, all your worries washed away. You closed the distance between you and laid your head on his chest, feeling the waves of doubt leave you.
Together, you could face whatever Odin had in store for you.
“Well, if everyone is ready?” Thor cut in, taking a short huff while he looked over everyone. Elsa shot him a smile as his arm came out to link with hers. “I think we have put this off as long as we can.”
Loki situated you at his side, linking arms with you just like Thor and Elsa. Baldur went before you all, clearing his throat just before stepping through the curtains. You all followed in step, but as the room before you came into focus you froze.
The once simple throne room was now teeming with people, all dressed in different styled robes, extravagant gowns, and brightly shining armor. Servants in plain colored tunics weaved between dignitaries with trays of goblets, stopping only when everyone noticed you and the others come out. All chatter ceased as the eyes landed on your group.
Being here, standing in this grand hall, it was all beginning to weigh down on you as if the palace itself fell upon you.
What was going on?
Loki must have been equally struck because he unlinked from you to instead lace his fingers with yours. You glanced at him but you regretted it, feeling your stomach flip.
The god of mischief looked worried.
You wanted to say something, anything, to set him at ease but you were cut off by a loud, boisterous bellow. ”And here they are! The Odinson brothers!” Tearing through the crowd was a large man, both in stature and existence. He was taller than Thor with long white hair pulled back in a braid that matched the thick beard that hung down his face with golden beads clipped in it. His smile was wide while his eyes scanned over everyone.
You also couldn't help but notice the thick scar that etched it's way across one eye to the bridge of his nose. Despite the mark or maybe even because of it, the older man's features were overall striking and handsome. He had Loki's high cheekbones, Thor’s square jaw, even favoring Baldur a bit. But despite their similarities, there was something that set him worlds apart from his sons.
Behind that smile, you sound see a slight hint of threat. Like a tiger, calm before an attack.
“Your highness,” Baldur greeted with a head bow. You saw Elsa curtsey but your knees wouldn't cooperate, softly trembling beneath you threatening to buckle at any moment.
Odin practically looked through Baldur to his sons, Thor being the first to tilt his head in acknowledgement. “Hello, father.”
When he looked to Loki, all he received was a dry, “Allfather.”
The king's face was unreadable at that but then he began beaming to them all. “It does an old man's heart good to have his family together.” He winked at Elsa who offered a small smile before he locked onto you. “So. You must be the infamous Lady y/n I have heard so much about.”
His fierce eyes were a strange golden color with a pale glow underneath.
“I am king Odin of Asgard.” You were taken off guard when Odin offered you his hand, feeling chills just being this close to him. It was as if the air around him gave off a foreboding tension that warned you to stay away. “Come, child,” he spoke, pulling you out of Loki's grasp. “We have much to discuss, you and I.”
Odin began steering you through the crowd who gave you both ample room as he brought you towards the massive throne altar at the head of the hall. There was a strange sense of dread inside of you as you kept pace with Odin, not daring to look back to see Loki. You were afraid that if you did, you would lose what little nerve you had left.
“You know, Thor has told me a great deal about you,” the king commented. You hesitated, unsure if this was a moment you needed to answer or stay quiet. “There must be all sorts of questions running through you mind since you’ve arrived to Asgard. Surely there’s something you’d like to say?” You peeked up at him, his smile still there while he waited for you to say something. “Are you afraid I’ll bite, Lady y/n?”
“No,” you lied, feeling yourself tense under his glowing stare, “No, I'm not afraid.”
“Good, good,” he spoke. “Because I could understand why you would be nervous, my dear.” His keen eyes sharpened as they took you in, looking you up and down as he added, “After all, if I am to understand Thor correctly, you’re the reason my only daughter is dead.” At the mention of Hela, it felt as if your heart had all together stopped beating.
This time he didn’t wait for you to answer, instead, letting go of your hand to leave you at the base of the altar, wide eyed and breathless. He took a few long strides up before turning to address the room.
“And you, Lady y/n, are the reason my son has returned home. So for that, I am grateful.” You felt Loki and the others filing in at your side as Baldur went up to stand with Odin. “So, I’m sure you are both wondering why I have brought you here. You see, after learning about some of the dealings that have happened on Midgard regarding three of my children, and finding out some new revelations about the death of my queen, I thought it was time we all came together. Wouldn’t you agree, Loki?”
Loki stared up at Odin, his silence a sort of answer in itself.
The mass of onlookers somehow seemed to stop existing in that moment. You, Thor and Elsa looked between Loki and Odin, waiting on something to happen, for one of them to say something first.
But it was Baldur that broke the silence. “Prince Loki Odinson of Asgard,” he started, “Your father, King Odin, called our realms together in order to proclaim before the courts that he has decided to forgive all of your past offences.”
At this the crowd cheered, like an orchestrated show they chanted out their praise. Odin raised a hand, silencing them instantly.
“That’s not all,” he claimed, his eyes still set on Loki. “I am also asking for you to forgive me, Loki. In my own sorrow and pain I cast you out without so much as a word or trial. That was wrong, my son, and I see that now.”
There was a spark of hope in the depths of your soul that you couldn’t hide. You looked up to see Loki, expecting the same hope to be lifting his spirits.
But to your surprise, he looked just as stern. “Of course,” he answered solemnly, “You have my forgiveness, Allfather. Is that all?”
You inhaled sharply, stunned at the brashness of his words. Looking back up at Odin you could see a plain aggravation darkening his eyes. But he didn’t speak on it, instead saying, “No. It’s actually not.” Holding out his arms, again addressing the entire room, Odin let his voice carry as he went on, “Prince Loki Odinson, my youngest son, I brought you to this kingdom as an infant. My beloved Frigga looked after you like her own, and together we raised you into what I see is an exemplary example of what a god should be. I see now, despite all your faults, that you are in fact someone who is worthy of all the riches in all the nine realms. That is why I am presenting you with this,” he turned to Baldur who gave Odin a large golden staff that held a large bright red gem on the tip. You could tell Loki's body went rigid at the sight of the scepter though couldn't place why. The king held it out and slowly, and Loki made his way up the steps before kneeling at  his father's feet.
You watched what looked like a rehearsed ceremony, with Odin speaking some type of slavic sounding language you didn't recognize. You heard the crowd repeat a phrase back to the king, just when he handed off the staff to Loki. He took it and rose before turning to face the room, his green eyes searching yours as the masses began to roar.
“What's happening?” you asked, seeing Loki’s obvious strain. His jaw was clenched, his mouth a straight line. “What are they saying, Thor?”
Thor and Elsa remained quiet, their own faces stoic as they looked past Loki to the only smiling face on the altar: Odin.
“Now that all this official business is taken care of, I believe celebrations are in order! Drink and be merry, my kingdom!” He wrapped an arm around his son's shoulder, but Loki's stance and expression stayed the same. “And sleep well tonight knowing your crowned prince has returned!”
Another roar from the crowd erupted, with people behind you moving around and the sound of music being played. The noise didn't die down, even with Odin leaving behind the altar to go somewhere out of view. Loki, in a hurried step went after his father. You had begun to follow when Thor grabbed hold of your wrist.
“Y/n, you need to keep your wits about you,” he warned, “This isn't Midgard.”
You didn't understand or care about the god of thunder’s cryptic message, this was all too confusing, and something wasn't right. You pulled your hand free and followed where you saw Loki pass through the curtains.
Behind the throne, separated by thick curtains, was a small sitting area that you had to imagine was used for the royal family to escape from guests. Just as you stepped inside, you heard Loki's familiar voice carrying above all else.
“How DARE you!”
“How dare I?” Odin responded indignantly, letting out a huff just before lifting a golden chalice to his lips. He took a messy gulp, finishing its contents and wiping the remnants off with the back of his hand. “I offered you the entire nine realms and you accepted. What is there not to understand? You have always been impossible to please, my wayward son. You don't want Thor to have the crown, but you refuse to take it? What have I children for, if not a one will take on my legacy? What has all this been for if no one will uphold my name?”
“I don't want your crown! And if you are so worried about someone carrying on your so-called-legacy, perhaps you should have given your name to the only child who ever wanted it!”
Loki's response had truly struck you. You didn't know what was going on, but evidently something had thrown him into a rage, you had only truly experienced a few times yourself.
As you tried to make sense of it, his words echoed in your mind. Who did he mean?
“You!” A hand roughly grappled onto your shoulder and brought you out through the curtain backwards.
“WHAT THE F-” A hand slapped over your mouth hard enough to sting your skin.
“If you wish me to move my hand,” you heard mumbled in your ear, “Then you are to remain quiet.”
It was Baldur, standing with his body perfectly hiding you between the crowd and the curtain he had pulled you through. You nodded, practically shaking as his hand removed from your face. It took everything in you not to punch him or curse, but you managed to keep quiet behind your icy stare.
“What were they saying?” Thor asked you, ignoring the looks you and Baldur were sharing.
“I didn't really get much before someone yanked me out. Something about Odin leaving the crown and no one wants it?.”
“Thor, what's going on?” Elsa asked, making you more nervous.
“Yeah, I'd like to know, too.”
Loki cut in, his long fingers wrapping around your upper arm to begin to steer you away. “We are retiring for the evening,” You stumbled but then picked yourself up, having to change your gate to match his fast step.
“Loki?” you called out to him, but he kept moving, diving deeper and deeper into the crowd. You barely noticed the scepter in his hand when he pushed other’s aside, one by one, each offering their congratulations.
One struck you when they cheered, “King Loki!”
At some point he grabbed a goblet from one of the waiters and passed a second one to you. You took it, nearly spilling it all over your dress as you both flowed through the masses.
Finally you were able to take a breath as the people faded out. On the outskirts of the crowd, you snatched your arm out of Loki's grip.
“What the hell is going on!?” you demanded, setting your still full cup on another server's tray. “Why are you so upset? Why is your father giving you a glowing stick?” Your brow furrowed. “And why is everyone talking about crowns, heirs and kings?”
His green eyes locked on you and for the first time all night you realized you had never seen Loki stay in his true self for so long. Usually he was in his midgardian form, as Tom Hiddleston. But here in Asgard he was allowed to be whom he always was. The god of mischief.
And possibly something more.
“Y/n…” he started but stopped. Loki took in a deep gulp of his drink as his eyes scanned around the area, possibly trying to remember his way around the palace after being gone for so long. “I have something I would like you to see.”
You were surprised by his invitation but when his hand came out for yours, you let him lead you, more gently, back through the tapestries hanging between the hall and the side corridors. The further you got away from the throne room, the less people you began to see before finally the paths were clear of anyone all together. After about twenty minutes of solid silence, you noticed the scene around you seem to age. Rather than golden detailed inlays with white marble flooring, the walls began to resemble more ancient palaces. Stone walls, dark wood and boarded up windows eventually began to narrow and lead up stairs.
Loki finally stopped and looked back at you when the two of you came to an old wooden door. As he unveiled a key he seemingly pulled a skeleton key out of thin air, he spoke. “I am so sorry. This must truly be strange to have to deal with and I know I’m not helping. I’m going to tell you what’s going on, I promise, but first.” He pushed the door open. “I wanted to show you something.”
Your eyes were focused on him even as you took your first step into the room. When you turned to see where he had led you, you were speechless.
Though the walls were smoothed stone like the pathway here had been, they were not bare. Instead, they were painted in deep blues and violets, inter changing with black and magenta all swirling around each other. Sprinkled throughout them were orbs like those hanging in the rest of the castle, glittering and glowing in mixed yellow and red hues.
Your head tilted all the way to see the crescent shaped skylight in the ceiling before coming back down to take in the room. It was neatly kept with a large desk, several overfilled bookshelves and a modest bed in the corner. Loki walked past you to the desk. He leaned the staff against the wall then started going through the bottles and papers laid out.
“This was my room,” he told you nonchalantly without looking up from the papers. It struck you because in all these months with him, Loki rarely shared things from his previous life with you outside of small comments here and there. But now, he was showing you his bedroom. You walked over to the bookshelves, running your fingers over the bindings, picking up thick layers of dust. It wasn't hard to imagine no one had been here since Loki's exile.
When he didn't speak again, you made your way to his side to slide an arm around his waist. You gently leaned against him, your head nestling right under his chin.
“Y/n…” he started. But again, he went quiet.
“Loki, this has been a very…. trying day,” you explained while trying to remain calm, “I have had to leave my job, jump across the universe, and get used to being in a completely foreign world. I have heard a lot of things that aren't quite making sense and I really REALLY need you to explain what is going on. Your dad asked us to come here after talking to Thor about Hela and Frigga but somehow it feels like we were just thrown in some sort of ceremony.” You reached up and made him face you, doing everything in your power to soften your nervous  tone. “Please tell me what is going on.”
It surprised you that the god didn't pull back from your hand, or even look at you with some sort of command behind his eye. Loki wasn't the type to be told what to do and you certainly tried not to push anything that could anger him, but something was wrong. Very wrong.
Loki looked worried.
Finally, he broke the silence, “Darling, I love you. I love you so much that I couldn't imagine not having you...” His face lowered to yours, brushing your lips just as his hands took hold of your hips.
He pulled back, just enough to press his forehead against yours.
“Why won't you tell me what's happening, Loki?” Your voice cracked but you didn't look away from him, even as tears stung your eyes. “I need to know, please, I won't be upset, but I can't handle not knowing...”
Taking in a deep breath, Loki closed his eyes while he tried to figure out his next move. Rather than stand still, you backed away, leaving his hands to fall to his side.
“Tell me.”
When his eyes opened you saw the resolve behind his stare. But you also saw something else, something you couldn't quite place.
“Allfather tricked us,” Loki said with a calmness that render you speechless. His hands came up to cradle your face, his stare intensifying. “He didn't bring us here to handle any of our old matters. He had Thor bring us to ask me if I would take the crown, or rather...” He inhaled sharply, speaking quickly, “He named me the crowned prince. As of right now I am to inherit Allfather's namesake.”
You didn't mean to, but your eyes teared up. You just couldn't comprehend what he was telling you, this made nonsense. You had only came to handle the matters about Hela and Frigga. What did this mean for the two of you?
“Loki,” you managed, after biting down on your lip. “What exactly are you telling me?”
There was a moment where your entire relationship with Loki passes before your eyes. From the last time the two of you laid in his hotel bed, to the times he visited you at work, and even the vivid memory of the initial Interview that lead you both to this moment.
Right here.
Right now.
“I love you, y/n...” You could see Loki was seeing the same things, or at least his eyes reflected the pain you were feeling. The incredible sense doom that was coming.  “But I …  I'm not going to be able to return to Midgard…” .
Without physically touching you, his words had punched you in the stomach.
This was it.
This was a goodbye.
You choked, trying to keep the tears from falling down your cheeks. You avoided his eyed, turning away with all the strength you could muster. “You won't be able to return to Midgard,” you echoed, wishing you could go numb. A knot formed in the very out of your stomach, stiffening up to your chest.
There was no way to know how long the silence carried because to you, your mind was loud. Thinking about your life before you had met Loki. Could you go back to life without the god of mischief? Could you be the person you were before you got to wake up every morning to those stunning green eyes?
Some part of you, deep down, had always thought things were too good. You always believed that this was not a permanent sort of life for you, that eventually, the god would leave you behind.
It had just come so abruptly with no warning.
“Y/n,” Loki whispered, his own voice cracking, “Please say something.”
“I don't really know what to say,” you admitted. “Should… should I leave?”
He looked offended you would ask, dreading his brow. “No? No, I don't want you to leave. Quite the contrary…” To stop from blurting it out, Loki bit down on his lip. He took hold of your chin, slightly tilting your face to his. “Darling, I want you to stay. Here. With me.”

A Snake´s Pet (1/?)
Waking up in a dark room, you didn’t know how and why you got there. That changed when a door opened, and a tall figure stood in front of you.
“Who are you? And Why am I here?”, you asked.
“I am Loki. And you were chosen to bear my heirs.”, the man answered with a cold voice.
_____
AN: This story resulted out of two requests I got and combined. I hope you like it ^^
It is set after Thor: TDW, Thor is living on earth with Jane and hadn’t been back to Asgard since he brought Loki there.
Wordcount: around 3700 (damn that turned out long)
Warnings: angst, mentioning of kidnapping, abo-dynamics,asshole Loki
Masterlist
You didn’t know how you had ended up in this situation. Because one second you had been on your way home from work and the other you suddenly sat in this dark and cold room. All your belongings (minus the clothing on your body) gone, leaving you without no way to call for help or defend yourself with. Not that you would be able to do so, because the only thing you knew was what you had seen on TV and in movies. At least you knew to aim for the crown-jewels.
If my captors have any.
Your eyes had slowly gotten used to the darkness and you were at least able to guess the outlines of the room you were in and decided to take a closer look.
I bet I am going to break my little toe.
Only a few minutes later, you had finished your look round. The room was barely three times three metres big with a metal door on one side and some kind of blanked on the other. Not knowing what else to do, you decided to sit down on that blanked to think.
Are there cameras in here? No- then would there be some blinking lights, right? Where the FUCK am I goddammit.
Letting yourself slide down the wall, you let out a groan and your head rested on the top of your knees and you tried for everything that was precious to you to find a reason for a reason why you where where you were. But you couldn’t find any.
You were what could be a considered a grey mouse, people usually didn’t notice you and you weren’t dressing to impress or catch the interest of others. You worked as a cashier at a little local Mexican supermarket in a California (Oakland to be exact) and were born a half-blood, with your mother being an Omega and your father an Nonblood. Both of them died when you had been young and you had ended up living with your dead mother´s parents, who died when you had been only 18 years-old.
They had left you some money you used to pay the rent and study bills, though it wasn’t enough for you to live alone on it and so you had found the job with Mr and Mrs Alvarez, for minimum wage and one grocery shopping a week for free (for 40 dollars). You liked the old couple and they soon considered you somewhat family and had even introduced you to their son, who was the president of a Motorcycle Club.
Was I captured because of him?
If that had been some gang shit you hoped he would stay loyal to his promise and have your back.
I really could need your help now!
But of one thing you were pretty much certain: you being a half-blood couldn’t be the reason for you being there. You had neither presented as an Omega or Beta (very rarely your kind presented as an Alpha) nor did you have shown any sign that made you seen as one. Aside from slightly increased stamina and strength (and part of your looks) you had inherited NOTHING from your mother. Not that you wanted it otherwise, you liked being able to make your own decisions and not to turn into a horny breeding-machine every other time, ready to sleep with any Alpha that was close and interested in you.
I can choose who I let into my bed. Damn I can’t imagine losing my virginity to just anyone.
Cold began to creep into your bones and you did the only logical thing, rolling yourself into a burrito and tried not to freak out. Knowing you couldn’t to in this situation, you tried to catch some sleep.
Who knows when and if I can get any sleep later. Can´t do anything except freezing at the moment.
You must have dozen off, because the next thing you knew was a light blending you from the (former) closed door. Looking up, you realized someone was standing in the open door. He (or she) was tall and well trained, and even though you couldn’t see the persons eyes, you could feel them boring into you. A cold shiver ran up and down your spine with every passing second, your heartbeat increased, and you had to swallow a lump before you were able to speak.
“Who- who are you?”, you whispered, fear and panic latched into your voice.
“I am Loki and you had been chosen to bear me heirs.”, the shadow answered in a cold and reserved voice.
What?
“I-I don’t understand-“, you mumbled more to yourself than him.
“Of course not.”, he sighted like it was to be expected, like he thought you would be stupid, “You were chosen to be my Mate, so I may breed you and get heirs to follow on the throne.”
Mate- Breeding- But-
“But-“, you wanted to tell him they must have the wrong person, but a deep angry growl from the door shut you up.
He is an Alpha. A strong one-
“Did no one ever taught you to NOT speak back to an Alpha, Omega? Especially not to the one that is to become your Mate.”, he growled back.
“I am no Omega.”
“Of course not, that would have been to easy.”, he huffed under his breath and kept staring at you, “Then you have to learn how to be one. A perfect one. And you better learn fast!”
What? ´Learn to be an Omega´, does that mean- what is he going to do?
“I am tired of waiting.”, you hear him say, but you were in to much shock to react what caused the Alpha to growl at you again. But you still couldn’t move. Suddenly he stood in front of you, his face contorted in anger. His chest heaving and you feared he would hurt you- bad.
When did he get here? How-
“I said: I am tired of waiting. Are you going to stand up, or do I need to make you, Omega?”, his voice and eyes were so dark your blood ran cold and legs reacted on your own: within a second you stood in front of the Alpha, your back pressed against the cold wall, your eyes widened.
“Thought that much. I hope I don’t need to repeat myself again, do I?”
He hadn’t really finished the sentence, when you already were shaking your head to let him known there was no need to.
“Good. You will show me respect and only look at me or the floor, but under no circumstances at anybody else. Dou you understand?”
YES.
You nodded.
“Come and stay close behind me.”, he ordered at the same time as he turned around and left the room. Quickly, you followed behind the Alpha: Head hanging low and your arms clutched around your own midsection in a protecting and reassuring manor. Your eyes cast on his heels, so you wouldn’t lose the man out of your sight. The floor was made out of white and golden marble, and the walls must be tall, for you heard your steps echoed through them.
I bet this would be what Asgards floors must look like- wait- Asgard- Loki- I AM ON ASGARD! But whyyyyyyy?!
Wonder and new panic settled in your stomach and head and you once again tried to figure out what that all could mean.
“Omega!”, the god and Alpha in front of you growled, and you fastened your steps, only to notice that he had stopped in front of a big door or gate that was guarded by soldiers on either side, though you only saw their boots.
The moment the door opened, the Alpha grabbed your wrist to guide you inside and though it wasn´t so strong it hurt you, you flinched back at the first second. The grip alone gave you an imagine on how strong he really was.
I really won´t stay a chance. I am totally at his mercy…
“We are now in the royal wing. Not that you will ever see it again, for you are not allowed to and will not leave my chambers!”, he told you ,”You may look up now, for here won´t be anyone else than us.”
Slowly you did as he had told you, glad that you would be able to walk normal again. Though you knew it would be tense and probably hurt in the morning, and it already had cramped up, making you hiss in displeasure.
Not wanting to think about what could happen next, you let your eyes wander and awed at what you saw. The floor was made of dark wood with golden inlays, the high ceilings and designs reminded you of modern gothic. Huge windows bathed the halls with lights and the ceiling it self was painted to look like a real sky.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work for long. While the Alpha walked you through halls and up stairs until he stopped in front of a black and silver door you assumed would lead to his chambers.
Your breathing hitched your legs became weak, you felt like a panic attack was about to roll over you and you pleaded with your body to not faint.
On its own accord the door swung open and the Alpha pushed you inside. Wasn´t it for his grip you would have fallen over from the sudden movement.
Silver and green. That was the first thing your brain and eyes registered, before you made out furniture and the basic layout of this apartment.
Looks like a damn suit of a seven-star hotel.
You stood in the middle of what could be considered a working area with a long table that was littered with books, feathers, scrolls and so on. Behind that, you noticed a living area with chairs, a table, bookshelves and other things. On the right of there was an alcove with a huge bed in it. Left to the living area were two doors, one opening up to a bath and the other to what you assumed would be a walk-in closet. The whole backwall was one huge windowfront that gave access to a balcony.
At least I can try and keep distance between us once in a while. Maybe I can lock the bath-
“You are allowed to roam the room on your own, though do not touch my stuff without permission. You will do as I say, when I say it. Now clean yourself up Omega, you reek of dungeon.”, with that he grabbed a book and disappeared onto the balcony.
____
To your surprise was the bath already prepared and steaming. The tube itself was big enough that four people would comfortable fit into it. It had the perfect temperature for you to just relax for a while and forget where you were. Your own apartment unfortunately only had a shower, so this was the first time in weeks that you could take a bath (last time you relaxed in a whirlpool of an waterpark a few months back).
You grabbed the soap laying next to the bathing tube, you began to clean up while trying to make sense of the whole situation.
That all doesn’t make sense- Why did they bring me here? Why me? Why no Omega or other Wolfblood? Don´t they want risk their safety? Of course not. He is dangerous, and Omegas are rare. I am just the next best thing. Though I am sure I am not even that. Maybe there was just an opportunity and they took it.
You had just cleansed your hair, when you felt eyes burn into your back (for you had your back turned towards the door), and you knew the Alpha was standing there.
“Did I take to long, Alpha?”, you asked, your voice barely louder than a whisper, fearing his reaction.
“Are you clean?”
“Yes.”
“Then get dressed. Dinner was served, and I am hungry.”
“Yes Alpha.”, you answered before reaching for a towel to get dry. Standing up and turning around, you imagined the man still standing behind you, his eyes roaming over your body- over the body that was now his to use as he pleased for you wouldn’t be able to stop him. But you were mistaken; turning around there was no one standing and relieved rushed through your veins. It was short lived though, the second you wanted to reach for your clothing to get dressed you noticed it gone.
Shit
“Loki- Alpha?”, you called out, hoping you wouldn’t anger him like that.
“What?”, he snapped back.
“Is-is- Is there anything for me to wear? M-my clothes are gone.”
“There is a dress in the dressing room I think will suit you well. Now hurry up, I don’t like to be kept waiting!”
____
The room you entered was twice as big as the bath and filled to the brim with clothes. Shirts, trousers any kind of male clothing you could imagined was there. And that was were the problem laid: the only clothing there for you, were maybe ten dresses, no trousers, no underwear nothing. And they all were short. You barely wore dresses and if you did, only those reaching your knees and with a pair of shorts beneath. Green, silver and black were the ruling colours. The dress that the Alpha had chose for you was of a dark green colour and reminded you of a (longer) version of a baby-doll negligee. Like the undergarment, the top of the dress seemed to be slightly see-through. The cloth was soft on your skin and the dress itself fitted like a second skin, without feeling uncomfortable. Like you feared, the top was indeed see-through, only good thing was that it was less opaque than you first feared. Only one who knew the fabric of the top was that thin, would be able to make out what laid hidden beneath it, somehow you knew, the Alpha was well informed about that fact.
Pulling your wet hair back, you made your way towards the main room where you knew the Alpha was waiting for you, knowing there would was only the thin dress between him and your body.
With every step you felt more uncomfortable in your skin and you felt like fainting any moment, though you prayed you wouldn’t. Who knows, what the man that attacked and destroyed Manhattan would do to you. Conscious you would at least be able to say no- even though you knew it probably wouldn’t do much.
Arms hugging your own body to give yourself some comfort, you made your way towards the waiting Alpha. He was sitting at a table near the windows, his gaze roaming over your body, making you even more uncomfortable. His eyes lingered on your chest and his eyes grew darker and began glimmering.
He knows I am naked beneath this.
“I see you found the dress I chose for you to wear. I have to admit- it suits you.”, he smiled, motioning for you to take a seat opposite to him. Averting your eyes, you sat down, your hands fumbling in your lap.
“I must admit. Odin chose a pretty Mate for me. Pretty for an unpresented half-blood that is. I would prefer a pure-blood Omega, but it looks like I have to make do.”, he appraised you while insulting you at the same time. His green eyes were almost black, and you were sure it was over anger of not becoming what he wished to.
“Sorry.”, you mumbled, his eyes keeping burning into you, while another growl left his throat.
“Eat. For I become tired and want to rest.”
___
As soon as the male was finished he stood up and motioned for you to do so as well, his eyes and posture telling you there was no room for an argument.
Your heartbeat increased again, and you dreaded what you knew would come now. You were sure he would start breeding with you and there was nothing you could do against it.
On shaking legs, you stepped closer to him, supressing to cry the tension your were feeling away. The air around him felt a colder than the rest of the room and shivers went up and down your spine; the cold making your nipples harden, making them very visible through the thin fabric.
Stepping behind you, the Alpha lowered his head to take a whiff of your scent. One of his hands rested on your hip, the other on your shoulder (very very close to your throat) snaked around your body in the front, making his forearm rest in the valley of your breasts. His arms pressed you against his chest, and the rumbles that left his body made yours vibrate as well. He sounded satisfied.
“You smell better than I thought you would. Devine. Of *sniff* flowers and berries, very delicate. To bad you will never be in heat, for I wonder how you would smell then.  I am glad you don’t stink like half-bloods and Nonbloods usually do. *sniff*”, his nose moved over the area where the Mating-mark of half- and pure-bloods would be, his teeth scraping over your skin and you were sure he would mark you right then and there.
His laughter was dark, and your heartbeat stopped.
“I won´t mark you- yet.”, he chuckled against your neck and his hand moved from your shoulder to your jaw, holding your head in place.
“You fear me.”, he whispered against your skin, ”You are afraid of I can do to you. What I will do to you. I can smell it. Taste it on your skin. You are right to feel this way. I can do things you can´t and do not want to imagine. But if you do as I say, you will not need to fear too see those happening; for if you bear heirs, I will treat you as well as any good pet wished to be treated. I say get up, you will. If I tell you to sleep, you will sleep and if I tell you to undress, you will do as told. Like any good Omega would.”
“Yes, Alpha.”, you whispered your answer and you felt his other hand moving over your stomach, your legs towards your inner thighs. Your muscles tensed under this unwanted and unknown feeling. His hands rested on top of the fabric and you knew it was only a question of time when he would make his way beneath it and onto your skin.
“I wonder if your skin is really as soft as it feels through your dress.”, he groaned against your neck, and another shiver went up your spine, “You will undress and lay down in the bed while I will take a bath on my own. Don´t fret, I won’t be gone for long.”
After another lick over your skin he left for the bath, already stripping of his clothing. The moment he stepped into the bathroom, you turned towards the bed and began walking.
Maybe I could not do as told. Who am I kidding- he will just rip the dress apart and be angry for defying him.
Not wanting to anger him on your first evening with him, you stripped down the thin dress and hurried to get under the blankets. They were made of silk and fell smoothly around your naked body. Leaving nothing for the man’s imagination. You laid down furthest away from the bath and turned your back towards it. Soon silent sobs shook your body. Though you supressed them quick, not wanting to give the man any satisfaction to pull out of your fear.
Soft steps alerted you to the approaching Alpha and you braced yourself for what was coming. The mattress dipped behind you and your muscles tensed again for a second.
“I see you took my warning to heart and did as you told. Good.”, he rumbled proudly.
One of his hands moving from the back of your head, over your sides to your ass and then towards your thighs. Carefully not to touch any area that would be considered not proper or sexual.
He is playing with me
“What a well-behaved little Omega I have laying in my bed. Let´s see if it stays like that.”, he chuckled darkly, “Why don’t you come closer to your Alpha? I promise I won´t bite- not too hard at least.”
Taking in a deep breath, you scooted closer to the man behind you, until your ass touched his midsection, with only the thin fabric between the two of you.
At once, his arm snaked around your midsection, pulling your closer to him. So close in fact that you felt his member pressed against your ass and to your relieve: it was soft.
“You thought I would start breeding you today, weren’t you? Though it is your luck you are not ready to receive yet. But you will be- soon. So rest, for when you are you will need all the strength and endurance your weak body has.”

4 Granite Stones that Offer a Luxurious Finish to Your Home
Rajasthan is one of the most beautiful states in India. And along with beauty, it is home to many other resources that we use in our daily lives. And the best example that tells about both is the types of granite in Rajasthan. But first, we need to know what exactly granite is.
It is a coarse, hard-grained igneous rock rich in feldspar and quartz. It is formed when the hot lava from the volcanoes cools down at a depth of the earth. It is one of the most potent stones found in nature that is used for kitchen countertops and bath accessories, including washbasins and bathtubs.
Because of its fantastic texture and robustness, it is used as a significant building stone in many construction houses. Also, the quarrying of granite in the mines of Rajasthan is a big industry. Following are the most famous types of granite in Rajasthan that people prefer in their houses.
• Kashmir Yellow
The hue of the Kashmir yellow granite is luxuriously charming. The hardening of the molten lava creates a distinct pattern, and the rock looks shimmering with a golden tint. For people who want to build thematic homes with a set color, the Kashmir yellow granite is the best option.
Tumblr media
• Silver Pearl
As the name suggests, this type of granite found in Rajasthan is a mesmerizing rock with a classic silver finish. It uplifts the decor of your home and suits perfectly with any furniture and style for a charismatic look in your bathrooms or kitchens. The silver pearl granite is a perfect choice.
Tumblr media
• Madurai Gold
This graceful granite is one of the soberest yet beautiful rock types that enhance the aura wherever it is installed. It is a light yellow-colored stone with black freckles all over it. A dark set of furniture with this light-hued granite will create a significant contrasting effect.
Tumblr media
• Sapphire Blue
This type of granite in Rajasthan looks no less than a precious stone. It gives a classic vintage look. Whether you want to install it in your office as a countertop or in your hotel as an inlay flooring, it will not let you down.
Tumblr media
The other types found in Rajasthan include rosy pink, Indian mahogany, tropical green, Himalayan blue, absolute black, Impala black, and so many others. The hues and textures of each are different. So you will get a variety of options to choose from when you construct your home.

Four More Finished Spaces At The Duplex!
If you tuned in last week, you saw us very excitedly reveal the before & after photos of the first four rooms that we completed at the duplex. SO MANY EXCLAMATION POINTS! There isn’t much rhyme or reason to the order of the things we’re sharing – we’re just rolling things out as we complete & photograph them… so today we have FOUR MORE SPACES THAT ARE DONE DONE DONE!
Can you tell how thrilling that is for us to proclaim after over a year and a half of working to get this house put back together and ready for renters this summer?! (The listing will go live on Airbnb once we’re done with all the rooms & have ’em photographed. We’ll make a big announcement when we get to that point, so don’t worry, you didn’t miss it!).
Let’s start with the back bedroom on the left side of the duplex – aka the side with the pink doors.
Tumblr media
bed | side table | lamps| shades | fan | duvet | pillows | lumbar | wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White | doors: SW White Truffle
This room’s twin on the other side was in last week’s post and we mentioned that the back bed wall was a little bit narrower on the other side, so we used wall sconces instead of table lamps (every space is slightly different on each side just because 100 year old houses are quirky like that). But over here the bed wall was wider, which allowed for some larger quartz topped side tables (so shiiiiiny – and hooray for a material that won’t stain like marble).
We also got to top them with these sweet gray lamps, and once again we planned the outlet placement so they’re located behind each nightstand, so we can plug in those lights and still have an available outlet for charging phones (we’ve rented more than a few places that led to us crawling around under the bed or pulling out dressers in search of those ever elusive phone charging outlets).
Tumblr media
bed | side table | lamp| shade | sound machine | duvet | vanity | faucet | pulls | tile | mirror | bath light | door: SW White Truffle?
Here’s a before shot of the room as it looked when we bought the duplex, which had drop ceilings to hide some ongoing roof leaks and painted plastic paneling to cover up the mold in the walls. Where that window is below is pretty much where we placed the door to access the full bathroom that we added on, which made this space into a true master bedroom. We also added the double closets to flank the window on the left wall, so if you scroll back up and you look at the window behind the bed, that’s one that we added to the bedroom since this one basically turned into the door to the bathroom.
Tumblr media
The before picture below was taken with our backs basically to the corner above. I’m including it because guess what was hiding behind that odd black slanted wall in the corner?
Tumblr media
Yup, it was the gorgeous brick chimney that we exposed on both sides! It adds so much charm and history to the space. And yes, that’s a roach fogging can sitting on the floor above. Right before the house was for sale someone set off a fogger in every room and then didn’t come back and remove them before our showing… so there were foggers on the floor and a whole bunch of dead roaches belly up everywhere. It wouldn’t be on my house staging checklist, but it didn’t scare us, so… maybe it worked?
But back to the after pics. Once again we did an airy and open metal bed in front of the window, to let the light stream in (and feel less like a wall of furniture that’s blocking the pane of glass). Our round quartz tables fit nicely into that angled corner – and they soften the corner in a nice way. Who doesn’t love the mix of polished quartz & weathered old brick? They go together like rama-lama-lama-ka-dinga-da-dinga-dong (that was harder to type than you’d think, btw).
Tumblr media
bed | side table | lamps| shades | duvet | pillow | lumbar | curtains | curtain rod | rug | wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White
This before shot was taken with our backs to the brick chimney, so that window on the right below is where we built out the double closets to flank that lovely view that looks out on some huge all-summer-long flowering trees (giant pink crape myrtles).
Tumblr media
Oh and do you see that trap-door looking thing in the corner of the ceiling in the photo above? That’s where a leak got so bad that it eroded the original ceiling and then went through the drop ceiling and collapsed it in that spot. After we removed the drop ceiling it was clear that a LOT of the roof was failing – so we changed the pitch of the roof to be a bit steeper so water would run off of it more efficiently and not cause this issue again down the road. But yeah, rebuilding the whole roof was a doozie (you can see the entire house completely roof-less and wall-less here).
Here’s the after from the exact same corner. You can see that we have those cute pink-doored double closets now that make that window shine (they’re painted White Truffle by Sherwin Williams). And we shifted the doorway over to make sense of the upstairs layout a bit more. You can see our before & after floor plans a little later in this post to picture all of these layout changes more easily.
Tumblr media
dresser | mirror | bench |bed | faux fig |wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White | doors: SW White Truffle
We also added a dresser for addition clothing storage (it’s the same dresser we have in our bedroom, but in the crisp white color instead of the gray one). Then we hung our favorite stenciled mirror over it for that inlay look (we LOVE how big it is, this is a room-making mirror you guys). We love that it basically creates an additional window in the room by reflecting the light of the other one (see the picture above).
This is one of the two closets in the room (remember they flank the window) so they each provide space for hanging clothes, storing suitcases, etc. And our eyes love the symmetry so much of having two in the room – I’m so glad we did it, because it feels like they were meant to be here.
Tumblr media
dresser | mirror | rug | luggage rack |wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White | doors: SW White Truffle
And yes, we are going to add more wooden hangers. There were people who worried the ones that they saw in our previous post weren’t enough, so more are coming. DO NOT WORRY. Buying those = the easiest thing on our list right now. Ha!
This is what you’d see if you stood with your back to the master bathroom, and you can see that we reused the rug that we had in the beach house living room a while back. And it was clearly mean to be in this master bedroom with the pink doors and the dark oil-rubbed bronze accents (in the drawer pulls, curtain rods, bed, and the door hardware). It fits the room perfectly, which makes me so happy – and on a sunny day it takes on a pinker watermelon tone, which is pretty cool (you can see that here). It was a secondhand find, so I can’t link to something identical, but this rug is pretty close (and the price is good!).
Tumblr media
dresser | mirror | bed | rug | fan | wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White | doors: SW White Truffle
If you stand with your back to the dresser above, you see the doorway that leads to the new master bathroom that we added onto this room. So much more functional, and we had fun with that bold floor tile and all white tile and wall paint everywhere else (except for the fun pink door).
Tumblr media
bed | side table | lamp| shade | sound machine | duvet | vanity | faucet | pulls | tile | mirror | bath light | door: SW White Truffle
The bathroom feels surprisingly serene for having such a colorful patterned floor tile, mostly thanks to using other colors sparingly, adding some calming touches like a faux succulent, some muted art (this print and another print by this artist) and some natural touches in the woven cup and the leather vanity pulls (this is the vanity we bought – and we just swapped out the hardware).
Tumblr media
vanity | faucet | pulls | tile | mirror | hook | toilet | photo art | wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White
You can also see above that we mounted a mirror above the sink that’s functional and hinged to fit within the window frame, but still allows a lot of light to stream in. We frosted the glass so nobody feels like there isn’t privacy in here – but it thankfully doesn’t effect how might light floods this space.
Oh and a few people asked in the last post why we didn’t just put the window over the toilet – but from the back of the house it would have looked super odd to have a window right on the edge of the addition instead of in a more centralized placement. The historic review board has to approve things like additions and new window locations, so I doubt they would have gone for such an off centered window since the original back windows were in a central-ish spot too. (You can see more shots of the back of the duplex here – we LOVE how it came out!)
Tumblr media
I also have to admit that I love a mirror in a window! We did that in our second house and the make-up-friendly natural light was never better! Ha!
Tumblr media
vanity | faucet | pulls | tile | mirror | hook | toilet | photo art | wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White?
If you stand with your back to the wall to the right of the toilet, here’s what you see: a simple all-white shower (the key to a bold tile on the floor = non-demanding neutral tile everywhere else), a soft extra long shower curtain, and some handy towel hooks on the back of the door. For anyone wondering how we feel about mixed metals – we’re into it! Just have each one occur a few times in each space and you’re golden. For example in here we have chrome on the shower fixtures, the shower curtain rod, and the sink vanity’s faucet while the door’s hinges, knob, and hooks are all oil rubbed bronze. Looks just fine! All metals are sort of like a neutral if you layer them into the room a few times each.
Tumblr media
wall tile | shower floor | grout: warm gray | shower fixtures | curtain | rod | door hook | door: SW White Truffle
This is one of my favorite before shots of the bunch. Check out that mauve trim and the leafy wallpaper border. The crazy thing is that we restructured the landing upstairs so much that the after isn’t very parallel at all. We actually moved the access to the bedroom over to the right (where you see that corner of a sconce peeking into the photo below) and that open doorway that you see became a nice big hall linen closet. We also pushed the doorways back, so the landing at the top of the stairs is about twice as big – so you don’t feel nearly as closed in or crowded.
Tumblr media
Here’s basically the same angle now. See how the doorway shifted over and the landing is a lot bigger and more breathable? Oh how I wish we had taken a photo of the linen closet open because it’s a work of art. We added chunky white shelves that are so functional for towels and extra bedding, and we even have a tiny ironing board and an iron. It’s gorgeous. Yes, a closet can be gorgeous. We need to share that in a video tour soon I think!
Tumblr media
tile | rug |wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White | doors: SW White Truffle
I mentioned we’d include a before & after floor plan for you guys to better understand the layout changes. Remember that each side of the duplex only had one full bath when we bought it, and a very odd diagonal hallway that was not original to the house (it had been restructured probably in the 70s or 80s). So we enjoyed bringing it back to the more classic and traditional layout without any triangular hallways – it just feels more fitting and less cobbled together. Plus two and a half bathrooms per side feels a lot better than one!
Tumblr media
One of the hugest changes we made isn’t something you can see on a floor plan though. The original steps on each side of the duplex were like a dark closed-in tunnel. They were completely drywalled on each side from the very bottom step, all the way up to almost the top step. Yeah… like no light passed through that space at all, as you can see below:
Tumblr media
So when we restructured things, we opened a bunch of the bottom stairs up with a railing (more on that in a second) and we moved the bedroom doorway at the top of the stairs back a bit too, which meant instead of just having a short little railing up top, we flood the top 6 stairs or so with light.
Tumblr media
rug | faux fig | basket | framed canvas | door: SW Oyster Bay | wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White
If you don’t remember the story of the railings, they’re the original railings from our front porch at our home in Richmond, and they fit PERFECTLY into the duplex at the top and bottom of the stairs. COMPLETELY MEANT TO BE! We’re so glad they got to live on here (more on The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Railing here & here).
A few seconds ago I said that we opened up the bottom of the stairs, so here are some before & afters of that update. This is what it looked like when we bought the house – all closed in completely by a diagonal hallway of drywall with just a tiny doorway to enter the living room from the front vestibule, which felt VERY CRAMPED.
Tumblr media
Now it looks like this, thanks to creating a much wider doorway into the living room, and an open railing that lets in tons of light & adds some great architectural interest. That light is a space-maker too guys, and the price is so good (it’s huge). The ceilings on the first floor of the duplex are 9′, so it allowed for some fun large-and-in-charge fixtures in a few spots (so if your ceilings are 8′ and you want that light, measure to see if it’s too low, and if so you could place it over a table or a bed – ooh it would be so good in a bedroom.
Tumblr media
light | door: SW Oyster Bay | wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White
But back to the view upstairs. This is the view of the front bedroom on the right side from the hallway.
Tumblr media
rug | faux fig | basket | framed canvas | door: SW Oyster Bay | wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White
We revealed the front bedroom on the left side of the house in last week’s post, and a few things are similar in this space (we chose the same wooden bed and the same art for that back wall as well as the same rug ).
Tumblr media
rug | faux fig | basket | framed canvas | mirror | curtains | curtain rod | door: SW Oyster Bay | wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White
But a few things we did differently over here are that we oped for slightly wider nightstands (they fit in here and wouldn’t in the other front bedroom! The slight measurement differences from side to side are so funny). We also did table lamps in here instead of wall mounted sconces, which add some nice texture.
Tumblr media
bed | duvet | pillows | nightstands | lamps | shades | curtains | curtain rod | wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White
We also hung a breezy little mobile above the bed on the right (it’s hard to see in the photo above for some reason, but you can see it a lot better in person and in the picture below. The gold hardware on it with the white wood seagulls are so perfect for the beach. It’s actually a mobile we’ve had in our bonus room at home for years, but we knew it would be perfect at the beach (it’s no longer sold, but here’s another mobile I’m loving).
Tumblr media
bed | duvet | pillows | nightstand | lamp | shade | sound machine | curtains | rug | wall: SW Spare White
The bedside tables are SO NICE. They were a bit of a splurge for me (compared to the cheaper mint ones I got for the other side’s front bedroom) but I just loved that there were two drawers and that pretty display space in the middle for books or magazines. They look really well made in person – and the added width (they’re 24″ wide) feels great too. So if you’re looking for some classic white nightstands, these are good. Oh and we put a sound machine in each bedroom because we did that for the beach house and it’s SO NICE. Our kids love a sound machine and we’ve found that when people come to stay with us they appreciate having one too.
Below is a shot of the wall that’s across from the head of the bed, where we mounted a great wood-framed mirror (the price is so good you guys! we have one of these in the beach house too). It’s nice to have a bedroom mirror for people to check themselves out before leaving the room when they don’t have a master bath to use for that. And that doorway you see with the diamond grilled window beyond it (my VERY FAVORITE HOUSE FEATURE!) is the cute little closet for this room.
Tumblr media
mirror | faux fig | basket | blackout curtain | curtain rod | lamp | shade |door: SW Oyster Bay | wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White
The curtain panel that you see next to the diamond window is blackout lined, so it blocks light that would stream into the bedroom when you pull them closed. All the other windows in the duplex have white faux wood blinds to block light and for privacy, but I couldn’t bear to put them on the diamond windows.
And across from that window is a diamond fronted dresser that we designed (can you tell we love diamonds?!) as well as a hanging bar for additional clothing storage. I love the little white honeycomb pendant light that we have in there too. We also used that light in the laundry room downstairs as well as over the kitchen sink. So classic looking. Five stars, would recommend.
Tumblr media
diamond dresser | pendant light | faux fig | basket | mirror | wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White
I gotta say I love that the wood in the mirror and the bed and even the hangers is all that warm medium tone, so it feels really earthy and calming in here. Especially when you compare it to this before shot, which once again has a drop ceiling and plastic paneled walls that were covering various water and mold related issues:
Tumblr media
Also this floor. OH THIS FLOOR. I hated it with every fiber of my being, because someone had put peel & stick tile all over half of it and then ripped it up before selling. But all the glue from the sticky tiles STAYED ON THE FLOOR. I am not exaggerating when I say that when I walked in with my flip-flopped feet for the first time, my flip flops came off of my feet and stuck to the floor as I tried to take another step. I literally had to pry them off with my hands in order to move. It was like a human-sized sticky trap.
Thankfully after refinishing the floors, they’re glorious and guaranteed not to steal your flip flops. Still gotta steam the curtains in here (remember we use these Ikea curtains and hack them to look like this) so I guess it’s not 100% done, but it’s very very close, which feels very very good. Also I love this rug. We bought it twice (it’s also on the other side) and it’s casual and beachy.
Tumblr media
bed | rug |duvet | pillows | lamp | shade | curtains | curtain rod | framed canvas | faux fig | basket |wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White
So there you have it. Four more spaces in the duplex that we’re thrilled to have fixed up and filled with as much charm and function as we could muster.
Oh and while we’re on the subject of function, we went with SIX CEILING FANS in here because we know lots of people who love sleeping with a fan on, and although we have central air, that breeze feels beachy and calming. So yeah…. design-wise we love a light fixture, but it just felt right to do crisp white fans for the beach.
Tumblr media
We’ve been really happy with them so far (you know we turn them on when we’re working away in each room – ha!). We did these larger ones for the four larger bedrooms (as seen in the back bedroom above). And these smaller versions for the two smaller twin bed rooms (which we have yet to finish & reveal – but soon!).
Tumblr media
Speaking of those twin bed rooms, after they’re done we’re switching our focus to finishing up the two living rooms, two dining spaces, two kitchens, and two laundry rooms! AND THE TWO BACK PATIOS! Still plenty to do, but we’re getting closer every day!
P.S. You can see the entire process of bringing the duplex back to life here From a complete “before” video tour, to planning the floor plan & the style vibe, to tiling it all and revealing the before & afters of the front and the back of the house, it’s chock full of info & pics.

And yes, we are going to add more wooden hangers. There were people who worried the ones that they saw in our previous post weren’t enough, so more are coming. DO NOT WORRY. Buying those = the easiest thing on our list right now. Ha!

I also have to admit that I love a mirror in a window! We did that in our second house and the make-up-friendly natural light was never better! Ha!
Tumblr media

This is one of my favorite before shots of the bunch. Check out that mauve trim and the leafy wallpaper border. We need to share that in a video tour soon I think!

I mentioned we’d include a before & after floor plan for you guys to better understand the layout changes. Remember that each side of the duplex only had one full bath when we bought it, and a very odd diagonal hallway that was not original to the house (it had been restructured probably in the 70s or 80s).

Tumblr media
dresser | mirror | bench|bed | faux fig |wall: SW Spare White | trim: SW Extra White | doors: SW White Truffle
Tumblr media
wall tile | shower floor | grout:warm gray | shower fixtures | curtain | rod | door hook | door: SW White Truffle

Empty Halls
He went home for the first time in a long while no because he had to but because he felt compelled to. He hadn’t realized how much he missed Canada, Quebec, french. He didn’t miss the emptiness of the halls, the way his home echoed like a cave and the way he felt small inside it. Wampus house felt more like a home than the estate. He heard in the distance the sound of his dog’s feet clinking against the marble floor and felt suddenly quite depressed since his dog was avoiding him.
The LeSauvage Manor was situated in the forest, the home was surrounded by gardens and promenades and a shifting hedge-maze. Roses grew everywhere, they looked wild and unkempt but they always looked so alive. The manor itself was built with a dark stone that shimmered very slightly in the right light. It had four floors and an east and west tower. Gargoyles dotted the roof, looking down on anyone who may enter with smirks and sneers. The front steps past the long driveway and the roundabout let up to enormous double doors coated in a blood red lacquer and golden inlay of wild boars. Directly inside was the foyer with it’s vaulted ceiling, exposing the halls of floors above, along those walkways stood more gargoyles which looked eerie in the darkness. Strait ahead was a large grand staircase, upon which Adam stood, looking up at a man who stood at the very top. His father’s oldest friend and greatest advisor, Emanuel Forte.
Emanuel Forte had long, white hair which hung in loose curls on either side of his head and a long, wrinkled face, very different from the one that he had seen as a child but the coldness in his eyes was exactly the same. He was a composer who worked mostly in Paris, he was famous amongst those who could afford him and completely unknown amongst those who could not. It was as if he only existed for the rich like some sort of ghost. Adam hated him and at the same time wanted to impress him. It pissed him off.
“Adam,” he said, walking down the steps towards him, his long black robes swirled around him.
Adam glared, “who let you in here?” he demanded, in french “I want you gone.”
“Gone? Your father’s oldest friend and confident?” he said, placing a hand over his heart “When I’ve come to advise his son?”
“Advise me? In what, the art of a concert?” he said, “I don’t play music.”
“No,” he said, shaking his head, “in your career as a politician, a LeSauvage.”
“I’m not interested,” he said, brushing past him up the stairs, turning to the left, towards the west wing. His hands were balled into fists, his breathing uneven, he wanted to shout, to hurt him for intruding on his solitude. He thought of Anna’s face again and that feeling vanished. He turned again and looked at Forte, this time from the higher ground, “I would....meet with you in the future if you made arrangements with the family secretary. This is no longer my father’s home and the staff are no longer my father’s staff. They’re mine.”
Forte bowed his head and took a step back, “of course, I apologize,” he said, Adam thought he saw a smirk on the man’s face but he shrugged it off, perhaps he was imagining things. “I shall make an appointment with you then, after I see myself out.”
“Please do,” said Adam before he stalked off, up into the west wing and into his fathers, no, into his study.
Passing down many halls, he finally came to the room, within it there was a desk, a fireplace and a couch with a few book shelves against the walls. Behind the desk was a wrought Iron window with a nice view of the garden, somewhat obscured by the warping of the glass. There had been a detail in his parents will that he wanted to double check concerning his inheritance. The document was in the very first drawer, right in sight.
Adam’s inheritance was complicated, he had the inheritance from his mother and his father separately and due to being the eldest in the line, he also had the LeSauvage inheritance. With his inheritances came different conditions, his mother’s required him to finish his education, his father’s required him to pursue politics and the LeSauvage inheritance required him to maintain the glory of the LeSauvage family name.
That was the part that confused him, the glory part. It had been left vague on the document, as it was an old one that passed generation to generation. It didn’t mention blood purity...but it seemed to imply it. Blood purity was never as important in the wizarding Americas as it was in Europe but it was still important and if he were to ever publicly be with Anna...there would be pushback. The two of them were nowhere near that yet, they weren’t even together. Frankly, since turning he had lost all interest in his inheritance, knowing he wouldn’t live to enjoy it...Anna changed that. He hadn’t realized it right away but he was starting to think about the future, what he wanted for the future. He didn’t want to die any longer and he wasn’t okay with dying yet, not until he could tell her his feelings.
With his mind made up, he closed the desk drawer and made his way through the home, out the door and down the long walk to the gate, stopping by a rose bush, plucking a single thorny bloom from the leaves. He turned it over, admiring its beauty before he continued on his way back to the car he had taken and back to Adamsville...
