This was supposed to be a drawing of Leo getting yanked by the mask by one of his clown brothers, but I got a burst of inspiration when I started drawing the body and decided to make him look like he was bracing for impact instead. Oh, also, I wasn't thinking of any specific iteration of Leo when I drew this, I just wanted to give him some scales teehee.

Asteroids and Career in Astrology

When people think of career in astrology, they often look straight to the Midheaven, the 10th house or Saturn but there’s more beneath the surface because asteroids can sharpen the lens. These small celestial bodies fill in the blanks, offering clues about your purpose, ambition and the unique way you’re meant to show up in the world.

Take Pallas, for example. She’s not just about strategy and wisdom; her placement can show what kind of intelligence you naturally lead with whether you’re a visionary, a tactician or someone who thrives in systems. Pallas in earthy signs points to structured problem solving. In air signs, she thrives on abstract ideas and innovation. Where she sits in the chart can also show how you approach decision making in professional settings and what kind of roles suit your mental style.

Vesta reveals what you devote yourself to. She shows where your focus can become sacred. In a career context, this tells you what you’re willing to pour your energy into without distraction. People with Vesta prominent in the 6th or 10th houses often dedicate themselves completely to their craft, sometimes to the point of sacrifice. She doesn’t point to money or fame Vesta is about the fire you keep burning.

Juno, often misunderstood as just the marriage asteroid, also describes partnership dynamics in professional life. In the 10th or 7th house, she can speak to professional partnerships, long term collaborations or working in service of someone else’s vision. Ceres is the nurturer but in career charts, she often shows up when work becomes an extension of caregiving, service or healing. It’s not always soft. In cardinal or fixed signs, Ceres can be deeply driven to support others through leadership or structure. She shows how you create space for others to grow and what kind of support you offer through your work sometimes literally, sometimes in a more symbolic way.

Hygeia brings in themes of purification, wellness and routine. When strong in the chart, especially in connection to Virgo or the 6th house, this asteroid points toward work that involves cleansing, order and health whether that’s in medicine, beauty, hygiene or ritual work. What do you keep clean in your work? What do you protect or preserve?

Take the info with a grain of salt but Lucifer and Achilles, though more shadowy, can still play into career stories. Lucifer isn’t evil, he is about pride, the desire to shine and the rebellion against limits. When active positively in a chart, especially near the Midheaven, he speaks to ambition that can either liberate or sabotage. Achilles, on the other hand, points to your vulnerability your heel. It shows the flaw that could trip you up in your public life or the lesson you must keep learning to stay standing.

When looking at these asteroids in your chart, take note of their sign, house and any tight aspects they make to Saturn, the Sun and the Midheaven or the ruler of your 10th house.
