Lena felt cold. The sinking feeling taking root in her gut only bolstered the white hot rage that coursed through her veins. Max may have hated her right now, but the thought that she could have made them a target was unbearable. For so long Lena had been ignoring her true nature, playing the dutiful soldier and hunting a ghost whilst feeling like a failure. She had swallowed her pride and allowed people to play in her face when she should have put them in the ground. She was loath to admit, but one thing she shared with her father was an appetite for justice and retribution. It was time for people to remember just exactly who Lena was and the true cost of doubting her familial name.
