I live in a box

In my box I have a bed, a bedside table, a desk, and a shelf. In my box I have a bathroom, a closet, and a window. No one is forcing me to live in this box. I'm free to come and go as I please. However, chronic fatigue makes it very difficult to do that, so I feel trapped. I feel like I am living in a jail cell, and that every once in a while I get to go outside and walk around.

There is a kitchen just outside of my box that I use for food, but I spend little time there. All in all, I have calculated that I spend 97% of my time each week (both sleeping and awake) being in my box. I wish it were not that way. I crave social interaction. I crave human connection. I used to have lots of hobbies and was very adventurous and playful. I just don't have the energy to pursue those things now, and I don't know if I will ever get it back. I am living the life of a decrepit geriatric person, and living it at an age that is much too young to be that way.

So I stay in my box like a good boy. I take my pills like a good boy. All while watching the last bits of life force slowly drain from my body.

I wish I had something happier to say right now.
