OMG YOUR DELTARUNE S/I LOOKS SOOOOO COOOL TELL ME ABOUT THEM!!!
Thankyou thankyou!!! They're the Vessel from the beginning of the Survey Program, and follow Kris around as a ghost narrating. Sort of the Chara to their Frisk, but with a lot more backseating
Tumblr media
They don't control Kris, per say, like the player in canon Deltarune, but they do have more than just the power of being really annoying and can sway Kris without their input. Obviously, Kris isn't a big fan of being told what to do against their will and tends to fight back as much as they can.
They try not to be too annoying to Kris and stay in their lane as just an observer, but sometimes a choice comes up that they get entirely too excited about (like giving the plush to Berdly in Chapter 2, or giving affection to Ralsei) and end up accidentally forcing Kris to go along with them. They rarely notice when they do this, and Kris is unable to convey their lack of control to them, making their relationship very uneven.
In the Light World no one but Kris can see them, and they can't go very far from Kris on their own, where in the Dark World they can move at will and can even physically interact and be seen by everyone else, though Kris is still the only one who can hear them, so they tend to still stick pretty close to them.
They can also possess Kris to fully influence their choices and speech, though they only did so once and it was on complete accident. Kris described the experience as taking a Back Seat to their own life, fully conscious but unable to do anything. They've sense sworn to Kris to never do this again, it's the one thing Kris trusts them on.
I haven't yet decided if they're something that's always been with Kris, or if they're a new thing that appeared around the start of Chapter 1. That's probably a decision that'll change as we get more chapters and more information on Kris themselves
This Self Insert doesn't have any self ships attached to it, per say. The Vessel is very attached to Berdly and Ralsei but in a much more "Kris you should date these people" way, which makes Kris incredibly uncomfortable so they try to keep to themselves about it.

Everything Weird About Deltarune!
Spoiler Warning for Undertale and Both Chapters of Deltarune! Really! I Literally Go Through Everything I Can Remember About Them!
This is a long post so get comfortable. Also note that my brain doesn't process thoughts into words very well so some of these might not be worded in the best way. :)
Deltarune. The first teaser chapter was released on October 31, 2018, and it came out of nowhere. We've all gone through this, but I'll try and go through every single painstaking detail I can remember. Feel free to reblog and add/correct things.
The weirdness begins right off the bat. The title is an anagram of UNDERTALE. We all know Toby likes to use anagrams when he wants to indirectly tell us when things are related, so it's no surprise that when you go to download DELTARUNE, it warns you that the game is designed for people who have played UNDERTALE. You think, "Cool, so it's a sequel? Or maybe a prequel? A different perspective of UNDERTALE perhaps?" You were wrong; so terribly, terribly wrong! I'll elaborate on this later.
Before you download the application, the terms of service that you must agree to beforehand reads simply and plainly, "You accept everything that will happen from now on." This detail was kinda brushed off in the beginning, because, hey, it's Toby Fox. He does weird stuff all the time. But even in the first chapter, it's apparent that the concept of choice, or more accurately, the lack of it, is a very present theme in the game. I would like to remind you that Toby has announced that there will be one ending in the game. One. I'll elaborate on this later.
The program (as in, what the game is called in your files) is named SURVEY PROGRAM. Why not just call it Deltarune like it is when you download chapter two?
The game launches you, without a title screen, without any setting adjustment options, straight into a reference to the theme of the entire franchise: the lack of choice. A strange formless voice guides you through "making a vessel", with what we know now as a fountain in the background. You have the option to make some very disturbing choices in this character creator, such as making its favorite flavor "pain" or expressing your feelings about it with options such as "fear" and "disgust." You name your "creation," tell the formless voice your name (which is different from your vessel's name) and watch as said formless voice muses over your name at an agonizing pace. It thanks you for your time and tells you that your wonderful creation, (cue music cutout and background removal) will now be discarded. "No one can choose who they are in this world." The screen slowly turns white as the voice says, "Your... name... is..."
It gets weirder. The next scene appears from the whiteness and showcases Toriel calling "Kris" out of bed. Kris' area of the room is very bare in contrast to the other side, which we later discover is Asriel's.
It's Toriel. Why is Toriel here?
Kris is kind of an anagram of Frisk (the protagonist of UNDERTALE) but without the F. I highly doubt this is a coincidence.
Speaking with Noelle is the only reason you can proceed (see what i did there?) while finding a partner in the classroom. This means you can't go through the 1st chapter without knowing who she is. Is it because of the Snowgrave route?
Ralsei is just suspicious to me. There's no way he was just waiting in that castle his whole life alone without some mental toil. So either he's insane or he wasn't alone the whole time. What happened? Is it related to how he can close his eyes and see what Susie is going through when she's apart from the party? Was he just watching everything? Is he related to the formless voice?
Susie's icon is the only one without color in the Dark World.
Jevil's fight is more difficult than Sans'.
Your actions have little consequence in the first chapter. If you choose to go genocide, the only difference in the ending is being run out of the kingdom, and this doesn't carry over to the next chapter. Again, lack of choice, people.
If at the end of chapter one, you walk around town, it's mentioned (notably by Noelle) that you're usually not this talkative. If you go to the hospital and speak with the receptionist, they mention that you used to play the piano in the corner. If you decide to attempt to play the said piano, an out-of-key bash can be heard and the receptionist comments on how you used to play beautifully. If you try this in chapter two, the result is the same. All this is confirmation that Kris is acting noticeably weird.
When you leave the Dark World and walk around town, you can find Sans. He "pretends" to recognize you, and if you tell him you recognize him, he tells you it's funny, considering that you two have never met before. He winks. I'm pretty sure he knows that the player is there.
The mention of Papyrus in both games, but the purposeful lack of him. Like he's avoiding you.
If you go upstairs while inside Asgore's flower shop, there are flowers in glass cases resembling his SOUL collection in UNDERTALE. There's a red flower.
You can't enter the church.
The clock in the storage closet shows a different time than all the others in the school.
If you go all the way south in town and into the woods, the music stops and you come across a rusty, double door is in a hill covered in crass. It's locked. If you go this way in chapter two, however, you watch a cutscene where you and susie happen to find Monster Kid from UNDERTALE (or someone resembling them) and an owl kid in front of the door. The owl kid is pressuring Monster Kid to (presumably) break inside, telling them that they don't want to be a wimp like Kris. Does this imply that Kris is connected to this strange door somehow?
The ending. You know what I'm talking about.
Did Kris actually rip out the SOUL (I say "the" because I'm not entirely sure it's Kris') and knife because they wanted to eat the pie? Did they only eat the pie because Toriel caught them?
Why did they look at the player? Are they sick of being controlled? Is that why they freaked out after the Spamton fight? (later)
Anyway, now we're at chapter two.
DELTARUNE Chapter Two was released on September 17th, 2021. 17. Entry Number 17. Sound familiar?
Asriel's part of the room is different from the last chapter. I don't think this means anything sinister, but I think it means Kris notices different things about the room as the story progresses. My theory is that it will become more sinister in each chapter.
Ralsei getting super excited to see Susie and Kris after a day. As in he has separation anxiety and it breaks my heart. not anything suspicious but it makes me sad so it's on the list.
Kris and Susie's rooms. Ralsei REALLY doesn't want them to leave. Seriously get this boy a therapist. Or a stuffed animal. SOMETHING.
Kris having to gather everything from the storage closet so that people appear in the Dark World????? Why??????????????? They had to do the same thing for the computer lab too.
The golden door. I don't trust it.
How/why the heck did Noelle and Berdley go into the Computer Lab Dark World? I don't see either of them just walking into pulsing void doors without Susie.
Apparently the knight has been gone for a bit and can corrupt people's minds? The king in the first chapter doesn't seem like he can be redeemed but Queen just seems,,, not bad, but a little crazy. I wonder what happened.
Then again, name ONE person in this franchise without trauma.
Spamton.
Horror doesn't bother me. Spamton? Spamton bothers me.
SPAMTON. ENOUGH SAID.
A Kromer is a type of hat invented in the '70s. Nobody named Mike is associated with it, that I can find.
SPAMPTON. HOW DO I EVEN DESCRIBE IT.
HIS SONG IS THE ONLY ONE WITH WORDS.
The way he asks Kris is they want to be a heart on a chain their whole life. Like, dude, no wonder they were screaming after the fight.
WHERE DID THE YELLOW HEART COME FROM. YELLOW MEANS JUSTICE. WHY DOES JUSTICE APPLY.
Kris screaming after the fight and the player not being able to hear it. Don't you dare tell me that's just how the game is designed. There are sound effects characters make throughout the game. None that I can think of apply to Kris, apart from when they rip their soul out.
Ralsei brushing off the Spamton fight. Either that's his coping mechanism or he was trying to shut Susie and Kris up to protect them from... something. I'll touch on that in a minute.
According to Queen, DETERMINATION is a key factor in creating a fountain.
Also according to Queen, Kris, Noelle, and Susie all have DETERMINATION SOULS.
Ralsei freaking out about Berdley making a fountain implies that he may also have DETERMINATION. Why I'm bringing all this up will make sense soon.
How was Noelle able to cast Snowgrave... a spell that she, according to her, didn't know?
The Snowgrave route is so twisted.
You manipulate Noelle into killing Berdley and then, when you get back to the computer lab and investigate his corpse, the text box says that he doesn't seem to be awake. As if you're in denial?
Burgerpants recognizes you. Not Kris. As in the player.
The ending. I don't think I need to describe it. Kris is very methodical without the SOUL. (I say "the" because, again, I'm not 100% convinced it's theirs.) I'm saying this about how they left clues that someone broke into the This proves that they are NOT a mindless, vengeful husk.
HOW DID THEY MAKE THE FOUNTAIN WITHOUT THE SOUL INSIDE OF THEM. DID THEY FEED THE SOUL TO IT AFTERWARDS? IS THAT WHAT THAT WAS?
Another point I would like to make is my theory that Ralsei knows much more than he would have us believe. I might put this into a different post because I have yet to gather my points into a coherent bullet point list, so keep an eye out for that.
Anyway apart from Toriel and Susie being VERY heavy sleepers, I think I've gone through everything. I have a few theories.
1. Kris is possessed by the player and figured out that they could make a fountain from Queen and related to Spamton freaking out about freedom. They then decided to make a fountain going by the logic that "this would tick the player off." This is one of my top theories that assumes that the SOUL is theirs.
And 2. Kris is possessed by both the player and the knight. I think the formless voice at the very beginning of the game is the knight, and they somehow needed the player to possess someone with DETERMINATION. If so, then why Kris? We know from Queen that Noelle and Susie, and maybe even Berdley also have DETERMINATION. The most plausible thing I can think of is the fact that human souls are stronger than monster ones.
I do think that the popular theory (about the one that suggests that the Dark Word is nothing but a figment of a child's imagination, and the events that occur in said Dark World are simply children playing with toys) has been thoroughly dashed due to Berdley's murder in the genocide route of the second chapter. Unless he's not dead. Regardless, how the events (or lack thereof) that occur in the second chapter play through the next will be interesting, especially considering Toby's announcement about how there will be one ending to the game. So either Berdley isn't dead, or he will be.
Aaaand I think that's it! Sorry for the long post; let me know your thoughts and if I missed anything!

for the prompts, kris exploring castle town?
If Kris asked Ralsei nicely, they know he would be more than happy to give them a tour. He's spent so long alone. It would make him overjoyed to have someone to talk to. He probably has a lot of interesting things to say about Castle Town and how it came to be. He might even answer some of their harder questions about the nature of the Dark World, even though he'd probably keep a few secrets from them. It would make him happy. More than happy.
But they don't trust that he wouldn't try to talk them into giving up their free will again.
And if he has an answer about how to stop the Player entirely, they know he won't give it to them outright.
So, with a prickle of guilt, Kris heads in alone.
It's the middle of the night. They don't know how day and night works for Darkners, but it does work, there's a good chance Ralsei's currently sleeping. Susie certainly is; she rarely, if ever, texts them this late. They're glad for it, in a guilty way. She'd be sure to notice that they're purposely avoiding Ralsei, and that's not a conversation they want to have with her, either. They don't like lying outright. It's easier to keep everything a secret and hope that things continue without blowing up.
And how well is that working out for you? a little voice in the back of their mind says as they slide down a waterfall. It's not the best long-term strategy you could have come up with.
They try to ignore it. They've gotten good at that.
It feels strange to be slipping through the shadows of Castle Town in the middle of the night. The deserted streets and buildings have always felt uncanny to them, but the knowledge that it's nighttime lends the location an extra layer of spookiness. It's as if they've been dropped into one of the ghost stories they loved as a child. It both invigorates them and unsettles them. They're fully alert as they begin to explore.
Shops, houses, inns, storehouses. All are unlocked. All are empty, swept clean of any identifying marks. They're built of solid stone and wood and mortar and tile, but if anyone ever lived here, any trace of it is long gone. Kris searches every single building in the small town, looking over every single room and every plot of land. The same result greets them every time. It is a faceless town, and there is nothing to scar the perfect stillness. There aren't even any loose stones on the ground. The only sign of comes from the fountain reaching up from Ralsei's castle, arcing endlessly into the blackness above. Eventually, once their search has ended with nothing, they stand in the courtyard, staring up at it.
For a moment, they hesitate. It already feels like a breach of privacy to be in this town at all. Entering Ralsei's castle would be another level of intrusion entirely. They don't think that he would mind very much, but even still…
I'll just look at the library he mentioned, they decide. It still feels wrong, but the decision mitigates that wrongness just enough for them to keep moving. I won't look at anything else. I'll see if he has any answers about this in there, and if he doesn't, I'll just go. I'll ask him for a real tour later to make up for it later.
Their heart pounds a heavy rhythm in their chest. They open the door as quietly as they can. There's only darkness in the room beyond. Nobody there.
Kris can't exactly be silent, with the way their feet habitually shuffle. But they can be quiet. Quiet is good enough. They don't open any of the doors, since one of them could be Ralsei's bedroom, but they do look through any entrances that are open. The walls and floor are as eerily featureless as the rest of the town was. There's the occasional tapestry bearing the Delta Rune, and each of the rooms they see have some furniture, but it's all so clean that it feels like nobody actually lives here. The more they look, the more the absence of life unsettles them. Why aren't there more people here?
Another question for the library, they think. I should have gone earlier in the night. The way things are going, I won't be back by sunrise. There's so much I need to see before I leave.
As they're resigning themself to another school day fueled by excessive coffee, their eyes catch on something. Through a nearby archway, there's a courtyard, with one entrance from each direction. Unlike everything else, it's not featureless. The fountain is there. And in the area all around the fountain's stone base, tiny blue flowers peek up from tufts of black grass. It's the first non-Ralsei life that they've seen in the town in the time they've been here.
As carefully as they can, they step onto the grass. They half-expect alarm bells to ring out, but there's nothing. As forbidding as this place feels, it seems that there's nothing to protect the fountain. They're fine.
Still, they're cautious as they approach. The fountain -- so impossibly black, as if the world's darkest shadows were made liquid -- is humming with power. The closer they get, the more they can feel it. It doesn't seem to be sentient, but there's so much magic that they can feel it buzzing in their teeth. Kris can't decode what the magic is being used for. Is it just an inert energy source, or is it a conduit powering something they can't see?
They've touched a fountain before. It probably won't hurt them. Just as their possessed soul being thrown into the other fountain opened a portal home, touching this might have an interesting effect. They can just yank their hand away quickly if anything goes wrong. They raise their hand --
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Kris."
The hairs rise on the back of their neck. Slowly, fighting the urge to bolt, they turn around.
Ralsei's wearing the cloak they first saw them in. The hood is down, but even without shadows obscuring his face, they can't read his expression at all. "You don't have the Player to give you extra resilience. It would hurt you."
"How did you know I was here?"
"I didn't. I couldn't sleep." The barest hint of a smile crosses his mouth. They still can't read it. "Fate works in mysterious ways."
They say nothing.
"Come with me. I have cake in the kitchen. It's not exactly polite to break into your friends' places of residence in the middle of the night, but it's okay if you didn't know that."
"I needed answers."
"You won't find them here."
They don't move.
After a long moment, he exhales. A tiny, weak smile spreads across his face. "I apologize. It's late, and I've had a difficult few days, but that's no reason for me to be rude. I promise I'm not angry with you, Kris. It makes sense that you would go looking for ways to escape what you see as a horrible fate. But you don't have to be afraid. Everything is fine."
Still, they don't move. The initial fear has worn away, giving way to guilt. Despite how complex things are with Ralsei, they do still consider him a friend. They aren't sure which fact makes them feel worse: the fact that they knew breaking in was morally questionable and they did it anyway, or the fact that he forgave them so easily for it. Their stomach is hurting.
They search for something to say. The only thing that comes up is "Why have things been difficult?"
"It's not something for you to worry about, but I appreciate that you care."
"I want to know."
"No. It's a personal issue. Really, I'll be fine. Sorry for worrying you."
"Ralsei, if you're not okay--"
He holds up a hand. "With all due respect, Kris, I'm supposed to be helping you, not the other way around. You'll be happier if you don't know this. I understand why you wouldn't trust me, but let me handle this on my own. Please."
They stare at him. He stares back. The tiredness that they've been ignoring hits them all at once, blunt as a brick thrown from a freeway overpass. They hadn't thought he would be a secret-keeper like them. It's… strangely upsetting to see that trait in him.
Finally, he looks away, dropping his hand. His cheeks turn slightly pink. "It's late. I'm… neither of ourselves are really ourselves at this hour. You should go and get some rest. We'll both feel better after a few hours of sleep."
They don't argue. Their hand rises to their collarbone, tapping out a self-soothing rhythm. Slowly, they nod.
"I'll walk you to the town gates. You can get home on your own, can't you?"
"I guess," they mumble. If they get too tired on the way back, they suppose they can just fall asleep in a bush or something. It wouldn't be the first time.
"Okay." He inhales, exhales again. "I'm sorry again."
"Yeah. Me too."
They follow him. As always, his strides are purposeful where theirs are not, his motions graceful where theirs are clumsy. He doesn't say anything more during the walk to the gates. They're grateful for it. They aren't sure how to make conversation with him right now. Or ever, if they're being honest.
The gate is open, as it always is. They step out onto the field. The air is fresher here, and it injects a little life into them. Their shoulders lift from the defensive hunch they'd taken on. They can breathe a little easier.
"Wait," Ralsei says.
They turn back.
Before they can really process it, he's hugging them. They freeze instinctively, unprepared for the sudden contact. He doesn't hug them very tightly, but they can sense desperation in it.
Part of them wants to shove him away. They don't like being touched without permission, even when the person in question is someone they care about. The other part wants to soothe him. They don't know what's going on with him, but he's clearly more upset than he's letting on. He needs a friend right now.
Kris doesn't do either of those things. They simply stand where they are, waiting for him to let go. They don't have to wait long. It's only a handful of seconds later when he steps back. "Sorry. I should have… sh-should have asked permission."
"Please do that next time."
"I know. I know. I'm just-- I'm s-sorry."
They study him, the way he pointedly does not look at them, the way his expression looks like a jigsaw puzzle put together wrong. He looks like he's about to cry. It twists their heart.
He was right when he said they're not meant to play emotional support. They don't know what to do with this. Whatever's plaguing him, it's obviously much deeper than they know how to handle. He looks like he's on the verge of tears. Like they're the last contact he'll have for a hundred years.
Carefully, they say, "Are you sure you'll be okay alone? I can send Lancer to stay with you."
He shakes his head. His voice is thick. "J-just go. Forget about it. The next time you see me…  the n-next time you see me, I'll be better. I promise I will."
They don't want to go. But a single look at his face tells them that this is something else they can't fix. If they were more like him, better at being what someone else needs, they could figure it out. Maybe they could fix it if they were the Player, even, but they're just Kris right now.
So they turn around. They obey his wishes, much as it bothers them. It's awful, but they know they can't do anything for him without knowing his secret.
They'll apologize to him tomorrow. They'll ask him for a proper tour, and let him feed them cake. If he's still upset, they'll send Lancer his way to cheer him up. It's not much. Simple, feeble gestures, temporary bandages for him. Not enough to make up for upsetting him.
It's been a weird night. They'll chalk their persistent dread up to that fact and put it out of their mind. They don't want to look at it any longer.

bubble bubble toil and trouble / have you seen [ sybill trelawney ] ? i heard that they are [ neutral ] to the war or avoiding it all together ! [ she/they ] is/are [ agender ] and [ twenty three ] ! they are often mistaken for [ jessica sula ] and known to be [ individualistic and gloomy ] ! i wonder if they’ll survive the war.

HISTORY
sybill trelawney’s parents were not in love. in all truth, they barely knew each other --- her father, a wizard, and her mother, a muggle, met at a university party. one thing led to another, and a few months later, odin trelawney received a phone call from a girl he didn’t really remember. shit. “i’m pregnant,” she said. “and it’s yours.” and odin, you see, was a honourable man, of some sorts, and drove over there ( he’s an halfblood, quite well versed in the ways of the muggle world ) and discussed their options.
he would take care of the child, they decided, become the main caretaker. that was what he wanted --- mary had no drop of magical blood in her veins, and it’d be easier for their child, should she grow up with a magical parent. and so it was decided. sybill trelawney was born, named after a famous seer from the middle ages, and grew up with her father alone.
and from him she learned about their family’s history. about cassandra, and how her sight might reappear in her. how he hoped it would. how she should tell him when it did. sybill tried to predict, tried to see into the future, to touch that realm. she often failed. she made small predictions to see if they’d come true. they often didn’t, they sometimes did. she wanted to make her father proud, to make sure the trelawney legacy would not pass another generation and come closer to dying out
growing up, sybill attended muggle elementary. she saw her mother every now and then. she drove in her dad’s car and was surrounded by both muggle and magical culture through her whole life. she liked that. she liked finding balance in both those things, she loved combining it. sybill was a happy child, but a thoughtful and quiet one. withdrawn, always fussing about her decisions, always trying to be what she thought the people around her wanted of her.
hogwarts rolled around, and she was sorted into ravenclaw there. a house that fit her perfectly ( and the hat didn’t take long to decide because of that ). sybill was once again quiet and reserved, but eccentric in her ways when she was not. she was adequate at her classes, excelling at divination, astrology and charms, and not much more.
she learned that she did possess the gift, at hogwarts. that it was fickle and hard and not always as present as it could be, but it was there, inside her. she became more vocal about it, started calling herself a seer, reminding people of her relation to the cassandra trelawney. she’d make up predictions, learn how to make ones that would most likely come true, just so people would believe her more. and if they didn’t, that was on them.
sybill learned soon, too, that all the predictions that hit her were negative. she saw death all around her. tragedy. pain. loss. it swallowed her whole, and made her more reclusive, made her more determined to make her sight grow and her mouth sewed shut when she was about to make a more gloomy prediction. sometimes the line between thought up and true predictions became blurred. she wanted to become better at this, but there was no getting better at it. her sight was just that --- limited, but there.
she had nightmares about people dying and wasn’t sure if they were nightmares or visions. she wasn’t sure. she couldn’t be sure, not ever. her self doubt she never voiced --- she just kept making small predictions that often came through, because that was the way the world spun. glasses break. horrible things happen. if people wanted to believe in the things she said, they often happened.
[ alcoholism tw she became dependent on bottles of sherry and red wine in her sixth year, slowly growing more used to the dulling sense of alcohol on her brain. she felt more clear headed, when she wasn’t sober, as if she could distinguish her thoughts better. she knew she shouldn’t, but it worked, and she was so tired of all the fatalistic thoughts swirling through her head all the time. end of tw ]
after graduation, sybill didn’t know what to do. she sought for jobs, using her ancestry and slight skill as a selling point. she washed dishes for a while, read tealeaves for a small price on the side, wrote the astrology section for the daily prophet for a while. nothing felt right. nothing was right. there should be more that she should be doing with the little gift she did have, especially with the horrible things happening in the world, but there were little opportunities, too much cynicism.
her lies grew. she made up more predictions, grew unreliable. her sight became clouded by her own dishonesty. people kept dying and she wondered if those were the people she dreamed about or if those were just others. sometimes, she even doubted if she was truly a seer, or if she was just lying to herself as well.
her father was proud, at least. he believed in her sight. he believed that all she said was true. he beamed and patted her head and told her that the whole family was so proud of her. sybill just smiled and nodded and kept going.
she was married, for a short while. it lasted shorter than kim and kris’ marriage. i’m not joking. they kept it going for two months and then filed for divorce, because sybill had not taken her husband’s last name ( higglebottom, i mean ) and he wasn’t very pleased with it. of course, there were other issues --- sybill had romanticised what was happening between them, and martin, her now ex-husband, was disillusioned ( which isn’t strange, considering the amount of lies sybill tells ).
it did definitely break sybill’s trust in love. she’s a romantic, but that made her cynical, too. a cynical romantic seer, who constantly feels the deaths of people coming --- no wonder that she feels like she’s spiraling. she doesn’t see martin much any more, these days, and their divorce was almost three years ago now.
[ alcoholism mention right now, she has her hopes set on working at hogwarts. she’s been owling with dumbledore, has been trying to work on her resume, to make herself more credible. she’s trying to stop drinking, to become clearer of mind. she’s trying, trying, trying, because she wants to do something that makes her feel whole, because she’s never really felt whole at all end of mention ]
so as we all know, once sybill’s interview rolls around, she will make her famed prophecy and end up working at hogwarts ( good for her tbh, she deserves it ), but we’re not just yet there. nearly, though. it’s coming.
CURRENTLY AND PERSONALITY
sybill is a Character, let me tell you that. she’s very good at being on her own, and in all honesty, quite an independent being. she longs for many things, but doesn’t dare say them out loud.
i think the main problem is that sybill never really felt like she belonged. she comes from a broken home, and while she loves her dad, home was always so empty and quiet and lacking. elementary school was a place where she didn’t fit in, and even at hogwarts, she struggled. she sometimes feels like a ghost of a being, moving through the world invisible, head in the clouds.
she’s not shy, though, not per se. reserved, yes, and quiet upon first glance, but once she gets talking, her dramatics and eccentricity do show up. she’s enthusiastic about the things that make her heart beat faster --- art and poetry and the stars and divination, too.
runs an astrology instagram, lmao. will make up your astrology chart. she’s a pisces sun, libra moon herself!!
Aesthetically Pleasing as hell. she loves fashion and combining muggle and wizarding fashion and she’s trying to learn to sew a little so she can make more original outfits. she’s got a bit of a quirky style, but a solid one. loves mary jane’s and cute socks, mostly.
sybill’s agender because in all honesty, she thinks gender is a sham. she just doesn’t connect with any identity but agender, with subscribing to absolutely nothing. she’s still figuring it out, mostly goes by she/her pronouns in public, but she has many days where she prefers they/them.
makes a mean sangria
very often wears sunglasses, even when inside. for the aesthetic, against headaches and ‘because not wearing them tires out my inner eye’
has a dry, stupid sense of humour that we all stan
loves stargazing. hopeless romantic.
a bit of a chameleon. sybill is a very skilled liar, and can be whatever you want her to be, and she has no trouble adjusting to that. her sense of self is a bit limited, but she doesn’t mind. she doesn’t know if she’d like the real her.
lmao she loves playing the sims that’s that on that!!!!
this is my first time playing her and im scared bYE

When Different Paths Cross
About the Characters; Intro; Ch10
Tumblr media
Chapter 9 "Why are you here?" I asked. He turned around to face me and said, "To take you back." "Hell no! I'm with someone else," I said to him. He was surprised by my action, I was use to say yes to everything but since the EXO pack came into my life everything changed, I'm more stern, careful, and alerted.
"I see you've become stronger than you were when I was dumped by you," he said. I snapped back, "For a good reason, you used me to kill that bear! You were the reason for me to isolate myself, but that all changed until I met an amazing group of people, they are not like you at all!" "Looks like I have to look at these guys to see that you are not going crazy," he said, "At least show me one of them." "I'll bring in 2 of them," I said, "We just came back from a hiking trip."
I had to lie, he wouldn't believe me that the boys were wolves, I wasn't planning on letting Suho down, I went back outside to ask Xiumin and Kai to come with me but Chanyeol suggested that he should go in as well. I let him come along I told everyone else to stay put until further notice, I told Kai and Xiumin about my ex but I was going to tell Chanyeol about him until Xiumin told me that he already did that for me.
Once we went in to my house, my ex didn't expect my friends to be guys, let alone more handsome than him. He asked, "Are these your friends, Sally?" "Her name is Lindsey get it right," said Kai. I whispered to Kai to stand down, same with Xiumin and Chanyeol, I just want to get this over with, my ex's name happens to be Jordan. Jordan looked at Chanyeol who is staring him down with the most angriest eyes ever. At this point and time, I was letting him being possessive and protection over me.
"Is he your new boyfriend?" Jordan asked. Xiumin said, "They've been together for 3 weeks now." "Correction, 5 weeks," I corrected. Chanyeol nodded, "Everything was going fine until you showed up." "I came here to take her back," said Jordan.
Chanyeol immediately pulled me behind and instantly went into Jordan's face, "Don't take what is no longer yours! She's mine and only mine!" At the worst timing, Suho decided to come and noticed that Chanyeol is now fighting Jordan and is winning, Suho took a smell of Jordan and immediately pulled Xiumin and Kai out of my house.
Jordan left with a broken arm and bruises everywhere. Chanyeol was pulled out by Suho and I happen to follow them, Suho smacked my hand for trying to grab Chanyeol. I, Chanyeol, Kai and Xiumin were shocked and confused.
"Do you have any idea on what you have been doing? You are friends with a hunter this whole time!! Here I thought you said you had no friends to begin with!!" Suho shouted at me. I stood there knowing that I have let him down, but only in his eyes, I have done nothing wrong.
"You have some nerve being friends with us," he said, "Why did you lead us to him, huh? Tell me that!" I kept my distance like I was doing before, what was the most heartbreaking was him saying this, "You are no longer apart of our pack!! Your relationship with Chanyeol is over!!"
That broke our hearts, Chanyeol asked, "Can I at least see her one more time?" "I forbid you to do that!" Suho snapped at him. The others and I noticed the pained look on Chanyeol's face.
Later that night, I was all alone again but this time Chanyeol, Kai, and Xiumin left their stuff behind it was like they are coming back but Suho forbid them to do so, but that never stopped Kai from teleporting to my house.
But everything hurts, my heart hurts, my head hurts, everything hurts. I decided to go down the hill for the first time in forever, I wasn't thinking straight, and before I knew it, I fainted right in front of a speeding car.
All I saw was black.
Kai's POV:
I was so close to teleporting to her house but that would anger Suho even more so I decided to teleport when everyone was asleep, Chanyeol was now locked up in his room, only myself and Xiumin were able to get him out every time he looks at Suho, his eyes turn fire red.
I decided to turn on the evening news to bring sound in the room, when I turned on the news, Suho almost turned it when Xiumin snatched it out of his hands and turned up the volume, this is what we heard
News reporter: "First alert! A young woman who came down from the hill fainted in front of a car, the driver of the car wasn't near his car. The woman was no other than Lindsey Sterling who we call Crazy Sally. We'll come back with updates on her when we can."
Xiumin turned off the TV, Suho was in disbelief that he caused her to do that. Chanyeol got up and shouted at him, "Great choice you had!" "I had no choice, she used us to lead us to him," said Suho. Kris groaned, "Suho, you don't get it!" "She was my one true love! And you had the nerve to break us up!" Chanyeol was getting angrier and angrier at Suho.
Suho asked, "What was I supposed to do? Let you get killed by that hunter?!" "I was protecting her from him, you dumbass!!" Chanyeol shouted. Suho realized how stupid he was acting pulling us away from protecting her.
"He was taking her back with him," Xiumin spoke out, "Thanks to you she has no one to run to." "Not to mention, SHE HATES HUNTERS!!" Chanyeol yelled and almost smashed something that Lindsey made us.
It immediately calmed him down, he picked it up and went straight to his room slamming the door. I have to go to her house to find something that can help us out.
Kris tapped my shoulder and nodded meaning he gave me the permission to teleport to Lindsey's house. When I did, i took Xiumin with me we searched the house for anything then we went into her bedroom and spotted a note she left.
It said: "Kai, Xiumin and Chanyeol, if one of you are reading this it means that I trusted you so much for our friendship to be impossible to break. But, I must apologize for causing you guys pain. It's just that every bone in my body hurts every time I move, my heart hurts, it even hurts to breathe, I barely ate anything, I only drank water, my head hurts every time I try to move it around. I'm so sorry for ever coming to your lives, tell Chanyeol that I love him so much and I will always remained in his heart. Love, Lindsey Sterling."
We were in tears, I took the note, then teleported us back, Kris looked at us and saw tears coming down from my eyes and Xiumin's eyes. I gave Kris the note, he read it out loud, everyone was now looking at Suho.
Suho was now broken inside, he misunderstood the whole situation. Tao said, "Way to go, Suho." "What is wrong with you?" Chen asked, in the most hurtful voice. Baekhyun said, "She was one of us Suho." Kris just shook his head in disappointment.
Chanyeol came down with blood in his mouth and I asked, "Where did you go?" "I killed Lindsey's ex out of revenge and anger because of this dumbass here, tore my relationship with Lindsey apart," said Chanyeol, "Now if you'll excuse me I have to clean out my mouth."

Nehemiah 1:1-3:14, 1 Corinthians 7:1-24, Psalms 31:19-24, Proverbs 21:4
Today is the 11th day of August. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian and here we are reaching out, twisting the knob, throwing the doorway, the entry open and walking through the threshold of a new week. And we may have plans about this week and kind of know what the schedule is, but we don't really know what's going to happen this week. It will all be revealed minute by minute and choice by choice. And one of the wise choices that we make each and every day is to take the next step forward in the Scriptures, allowing them to be a voice in our lives as we face the choices that we need to make on any given day or in any given week. And, so, we got a brand-new week. We will read from the Good News Translation this week. And we concluded the book of Ezra yesterday, which means we’ll be beginning a new book as we begin this new week and this book is called Nehemiah.
Introduction to the book of Nehemiah”
Nehemiah is part of a group of books known as the books of history in the Bible and we won’t be to lost. Nehemiah picks up pretty much where Ezra leaves off. In Christian tradition Ezra is considered at least one of the authors of Nehemiah because Ezra and Nehemiah at one time in biblical history were a single manuscript. So, here’s pretty much what we know. Nehemiah was a Jewish exile. He had been exiled and was under the rule of the Persian kings and he’d followed the story of how God gave favor to this remnant of people, these exiles in allowing the first Jewish people to return to their homeland and rebuild the temple. And he would've been able to follow the story closely because he was a direct servant to the Persian king. What got Nehemiah's attention, what engaged his heart, and actually engaged his heart to the point that he interceded for months about this, was this image that he had of God's temple, which obviously, the temple was the symbol, like the symbol of the Jewish people and the place where God met with mankind. So, he had this image of this of this temple being rebuilt but sitting there completely undefended. And, so, a passion began to build in Nehemiah to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and this went on until he couldn't hold it inside anymore and had to talk to the King. And just having this desire and then having the guts to talk to the King, that's not the whole story. He faced all kinds of opposition. But we’ll watch as we see the story unfold, that even though he faced all kinds of opposition he persevered through all of it. He was resolute. He didn’t turn to the left or the right, he didn't lose sight of who he was depending on. And these are all things that all of us have to learn. This is all part of our faith journey and all part of the maturing process in the faith. And, so, as we’ll see, the wall was rebuilt in record time, and Nehemiah returned to Persia to report to the King and just resume his role, but later he was given permission to go back to Jerusalem again and when he got there what he found very much troubled him, similar to Ezra. The wall they built was strong, the people were not. The people were weak. And, so, Nehemiah stepped into that breach and helped restore Israel to its glory before the Lord. There is so much for us in this book. And, so, we begin, Nehemiah chapter 1 verse 1 through 3 verse 14.
Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your word. We thank You for this brand-new week that we are entering to be counseled by Your word and to be in fellowship with one another as we continue this journey through the Scriptures this year. We invite Your Holy Spirit into this week, into every decision that we need to make, whether it's something that we know about or something that will just home as a surprise. We’re faced with decisions and choices things to talk about every single day and we need the counsel of Your Holy Spirit so that in all things we might reveal Your kingdom. Come Holy Spirit we ask. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Community Prayer and Praise:
I just wanted to encourage you today and I want you to declare that you are blessed beyond measure. There's no limit. There’s no looking back. God wants to bless you over and above more than you can even think or imagine. People of God, I cover you. Look beyond your circumstances, your limited mindsets and to the king of the universe. There's nothing, no one could stop what God has for you. When He begins a new thing just come into agreement with it. Don't fight, don't try the reason, just believe. Get into a mindset of believing the God of the universe, the Alpha, the Omega, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords. I break off word curses, anything that's not in agreement with God. He is the restorer of those that seek him. I, you will not walk in disappointment. The God of the universe does not turn away but is with us today and always. Favor is here. Embrace the favor of God, declare the favor of God, declare healing and wholeness, grace and victory. I ask for wisdom for each and every one of us in every circumstance. Wherever we're walking we're standing in the favor of God. I believe in God's goodness, God's love, God's kindness to me. I'm looking for His goodness, His kindness, His love in every circumstance, looking to God in every circumstance, thanking God in every way. He is good. He's a good, good Father. Happy is the man who trusts in the Lord and know God is working on our behalf. And that is my word of encouragement today. This is Vicki from Arizona and I'm just rejoicing that the king of Kings and the Lord of Lords, if God be for us who can be against us? And, so, I lift up everyone who’s sick today, everyone who's going through a trial. And just know that God has got us. He's not gonna let us go. He will never leave us nor forsake us. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Have a blessed day.
Hi this is Susie from Colorado, I'm calling to let the lady who called in on August 6th who has breast cancer that has been now diagnosed in her brain. I’ve thought about you constantly since that call. You, having 2 autistic boys 19 and 22 - Michael Josiah and Elijah Benjamin. I can’t get you off my mind and I pray for you several times a day. And this morning on DAB, today’s the 7th, I heard, I believe it was Jackie from Colorado and Robert Willing to Serve. Not sure if I got that right but he read second Corinthians 9 through 11 and when I heard him read that and how the Lord answered the prayer of his healing, please read that. I don’t know your name but please read that because that’s what I’m praying over you. And I want you to know you are so dear and I know it took a lot for you to call in with your broken heart. Also, Norma called in right after you and she just prayed for us all, for all of us who are sick and having financial problems and discouraged and lonely. And she cried, which made me feel that, you know, she was praying so deeply in the spirit. And I just want to thank you Norma for that prayer. Please call in more often and pray for us. Also, could I ask for personal prayer? We have quite a few children at our orphanage in Haiti who are terminally ill and three of them in particular don’t…they may be heading for the heavenly gates in the next few months…
Hi this is Kris from West Michigan. I called last week and left a prayer request for our grandson Thatcher who was scheduled for surgery on Monday, August 5th. We are four days post op and I just had to call just to let you know that God performed the miracle that we were praying for. He did not have to have an artificial valve put in. They were able to repair the valve. That was our highest hope and God answered it perfectly. And I honestly can’t even explain to you what they found in there, some calcification that had put a whole in the valve, something like that. I can’t…it’s just beyond what I could even imagine. So, thank you for the prayers. And we are still praising God and humbled by His goodness to us. So, thank you and love you all. Bye-bye.
Hello Daily Audio Bible family this is Treasured Possession and I’m calling to tell you…just God laid it on my heart…I have a hard time knowing when I should call and when I shouldn’t call because I know that there’s so, you know, there’s so many people listening and everyone should have a right to have their voice heard, but the Lord just told me that today I could call and tell you that. So, I am writing out my 33 reasons why I am grateful that I’m married to my husband today because tomorrow is our anniversary and we share these things with each other in the morning. So, that’s our gift to each other because you get to a certain age and you don’t need stuff, you need any things in your hearts pocket that you can take with you. And my husband and I are both on the spectrum. We’re kind of a miracle because of the Lord because we’ve gone through a lot. People with autism have a lot of problems inherently but they also…I believe autism is a blessing that God gives us. And, so, I look, and I think of all the things I’m grateful for my husband for and we write them down and we share them with each other. And I just encourage everyone that’s married to look at things from their partner’s point of view and realize the limits that we have to deal with and fight with ourselves about our own set things our own problems and then have that kind of compassion for the other person and try to keep strife out of your marriage because strife is the enemy that will just steal your joy. I love you all. I pray for you. I’m so grateful, pastor Brian and Jill for this blessing because without you we really are kind of alone in a lot of ways but we’re not alone with you. So, praise God I…

I Am An Alpha Ch 14: Baring My Teeth
His deep hearty chuckle rings out. His chest vibrates against mine as he wraps his arms around me and pulls me closer to his full weight is resting on me. “I guess you really are an alpha.”
I hesitantly respond, “So you aren’t mad?”
It takes him a minute to stop laughing to answer, “No Love I’m not mad. I kind of take it as a compliment.”
“Huh?”
“It means you accept me, even your alpha side. You actually want me,” He holds me even tighter. “I was scared for a minute that you didn’t want us.”
“Of course I do.”
We lay there for a while, wrapped around each while Kris’s knot continues to shrink. Neither of us says anything, until there is a quiet knock at the door. I tense.
“Shit,” Kris groans, “I was supposed to get you for lunch.”
“You did a great job of that,” I chuckle, taking a deep breath I try to figure out who is on the other side of the door but all I can smell is Kris. “Who is out there? I can’t tell.”
“It’s Tao. We will be down a few minutes,” He tells both me and the other man.
“I can’t go down there after this!” I cover my face that is burning with embarrassment.
“Getting shy again aren’t you? Why am I the only one to see you bare your teeth huh? As much as I love having you to myself if you don’t open up to the others is going to be hard on all of us. So come on love, show them that fiest,” He kisses the top of my head.
“I will, I still don’t want to go down there right now, could I bathe first?”
“Oh of course! I’m sorry, I should have offered that first. Lets go jump in the shower quick!” With me still wrapped in his arms he jumps up and scurries across the room into the bathroom. I cling to him as he kicks off his pants and flips on the shower head. He chuckles at the sight of my wide eyes, the water pours down from the ceiling like rain, it would be a lie to say I’m not amazed. “New, huh?”
“Since when do they make showers like these?” I muse as I stick my hand out to feel the steaming water.
“These are pretty common in nicer houses now a days, but I guess you aren’t used to any kind of plumbing or technology.”
I shake my head, “You would be right, I know the basics, lights, toilets, showers, baths. I know about TVs and cellphones but I’ve never actually used one.”
“That is so strange.”
“You could definitely say I’ve had a strange life.”
He nods but doesn’t add more. He gently sets me down and we separate, it leaves an empty feeling in my chest. My arms curl around my small frame in an attempt to keep the sudden chill creeping up on me away even under the hot stream of water. Kris notices and once again wraps himself around me, “Are you okay?”
“Why is it so cold?” I grumble snuggling closer to him.
“It’s the mark,” He explains, “That connection you felt before is going to become a lot more intense, but not with just me, with everyone. So you will want to be closer, both physically and mentally, with everyone.”
“This goes both ways right?”
“Of course,” His hold on me tightens, “Though it’s a bit more infuriating on this end because I will be fighting for your affection against my brothers. So you will notice we might get a bit more possessive.”
“As long as I get to see my pack I don’t have much of a problem.”
He groans, “Fine.” We wash up quickly followed by Kris gently drying me off with a towel, his eyes fixated on my back. “So are you going to tell us how you got those?”
I sigh, “I already did. Years of abuse and torture in a slave army, I wasn’t just trying to be mean earlier, that was the truth.”
“But I mean specifics,” His finger runs down one of the longer scars, “Like this one, how did you get this one?”
“If I am thinking of the right one it’s from getting to mouthy with one of my superiors. They were being particularly brutal on one group of new soldiers and I was an idiot and stepped into say something. There should be three other marks along with it, maybe a bit smaller, for each boy I defended.”
He is silent for a moment before his fingers started dancing around my back again, “And this one?” His fingers land near my shoulder.
I have to actually look this time to know, he is pointing to two little marks that are only half, on the front of my shoulder the marks are mirrored. “It’s a bad bite mark, the wolf was ripped away from me so the mark isn’t clear but he took a good chunk of flesh, hurt like a bitch.” I grimace at the memory.
“Were you in battle?”
I nod, “Well sort of, three wolves only a few years younger than me, that were in our squad, tried to rise up and our general saw how tempted the rest of us were and gave us the option to die with them or kill them ourselves. We chose the latter, they were stupid kids who didn’t know their place, and didn’t have the mentality to be a soldier.”
“Do you feel guilty at all?”
I close my eyes for a minute and shake my head, “We did those boys a favor. If those boys had been executed by anyone else it would have not been as nice.”
“I’m sorry for asking.”
“It’s a great warm up for telling the others.”
“Only tell them what you are comfortable with.”
“I’m not really comfortable telling anyone how I slaughtered people but it’s going to come up.”
“I guess you are right.”
“Now lets get dressed so I can talk to my mates.”
He chuckles, “Okay, give me a minute.” He walks away to his closet, returning a moment later with another t-shirt and boxers. “We will need to go shopping for you.”
“Why? I have my two outfits, that’s all I need.”
“Two?” He stares dumbstruck, “You only have two outfits?”
“I’m a wanderer, I can only have what I can carry, blankets and food are much more important than extra clothes.”
“I know you are right but still that is so strange for a girl your age, I mean the age you look.”
“I thought we already discussed that I am not your average omega.”
He nods, “We did, I’m sorry. This is going to take some getting used to. Speaking of which they should be watching TV by now if you would like to watch one.”
“Really?” I pull on the clothes he gives me and rush out the door. He his right on my tail as I run down stairs and into the living area they are usually in. The window is closed but I suddenly find myself freezing. But I ignore it for a moment at the sight of massive colorful screen hanging from the ceiling. I’m not sure what is happening on the screen but the colorful picture captivates me. It’s sunrise in a big city with tall buildings, something I have only seen in the pictures Namjoon has in his books. Two small bars appear in the corner of the screen and the image stays.
“Insoo?” Yixing’s voice breaks me out of my trance, he is standing up near the couch, wringing his hands nervously. I now notice that everyone is staring at me.
“Why isn’t it moving?” I point to the screen.
They all seem so confused by my question until Kris leans in the doorway, “She has never seen a TV before.”
“Really?” Jongdae questions.
I nod, “Can you make it move?”
He nods this time, snatching a little black box out of Suho’s hands and pressing a button on it. A grin spreads on my face as the view continues on, circling the beautiful city.
“Where is this?” I wonder sitting down on the floor as I continue stare.
“New York,” Luhan answers, sitting on the edge of his seat so he could be closer to me. Kyungsoo is in between him and I, and like the older man he scoots closer.
“New York,” I echo back. “I want to go there!”
“Really?” Kris questions, “I don’t think you are ready for that yet. You should probably ride in a car first before we work out way up to a plane.”
“Insoo?” Yixing calls again.
“Yes?”
He gulps, “Can we talk?”
“I don’t really want to talk to you right now. I would much rather talk to Jongin.”
The tan boy across the room looks absolutely frightened, “Me?”
I nod, “Yes, we have a problem. You attacked a member of my pack and just like how you would take that as disrespect, I take it the same way. It is as if you had your teeth digging into my throat, I’ve been bitted multiple times, it is not a good feeling so you can understand my anger.”
He stands up and take a few steps closer so we are on either end of the coffee table, “Please, you have to know it was my alpha taking control. I was insane to tackle you like that and I’m sorry I bit that pup but he came at me-”
I jump to my feet and rush over to him before he can react. Without any hesitation I punch him across the face knocking him on to his ass. The rest of the room watches with wide eyes at the sight in front of them. “He was trying to protect me! You guys have no idea what I have had to do to keep that boy away from any pain that I knew and it is always you who tries to rub it in his face. That boy has never done anything wrong so don’t you try to blame him!”
“Insoo,” Kris warns from the doorway, not yet ready to step in.
I unclench my fist and let my hands drop to my side, “I am not sorry for giving you the karma you deserve for hurting my pup. I am not sorry, nor will I ever be, for knocking you on your ass. But I will give you the benefit of the doubt and not hate you. Now stop staring at me like I have an arm growing out of my forehead and stand up.”
“You forgive me?”
“No.” I snap quickly, “But I’m giving you the chance to earn my forgiveness, and you better pray that my pup doesn’t have mark on him.”
“Thank you!” He surprises me by wrapping himself around me. I return the action.
“You are such a strange man. How can you be so scary but so cute?”
“Trust me,” Kris muses, “He isn’t like that with just you.”
“Does this mean you aren’t mad at me either?” Yixing tries again.
“Yes, it does,” I sigh, “As long as you prove that I can trust you. I don’t want to share my heart with you if you are just going to ignore everything in it. If I look to you for help, I expect you to be there, okay?”
He nods eagerly.
“Great.” I look to Kris, “How is that for baring my teeth?”

Narris (nsfw?)
Okay so I think I’ll just explain the thing with Narrator and Kristiel. It gets dark and enters uncomfortable territory I suppose. So viewer discretion is advised.
Basically, Narrator is as you’d expect, the narrator who I guess commentates and stuff. He was in the beginning and the one who discarded the initial creation (under orders). He is a being, preferably a mischievous imp/spirit or something, that does all the work for the mastermind behind the game. He possessed Kris. He’s done it before. Classmates have gone missing in the past and it was all because of him possessing Kristiel and murdering them. Kris used to brush it under the carpet and pretend like he didn’t exist just to run from the nightmare but now that they’ve had a proper encounter...they can’t do that anymore.
It lead off of the sketch I did of Kristiel sleeping. I’d already mentioned prior that he sees Kris as a the ‘star of the show’ and has a slight (unhealthy) obsession with them. He wants to trouble them. Make them angry. Depress them. Control them. Manipulate them. Degrade them. Possess them. Dominate them. Torture them. Torment them. Use them. Abuse them. But he can’t get too close or else they might get attached. Asriel is in university, they hardly speak to Toriel, they have no friends. HE, no matter how toxic he is, is the only one they have. They are isolated.
Despite Narrator’s twisted thoughts and desires, pervesion is another factor that drives his impulsive nature. The mastermind gave him the power to temporarily leave his ‘broadcasting perch’ and assume a stable enough form where he can essentially visit them— talk face-to-face or make torture a lot easier. That was his initial motive when he woke them up but he himself is conceited and has to put others down to give him more power. His words “Tsk tsk tsk. I thought you knew better than to provoke me. Just look at you.”
Kristiel was groggy and couldn’t care less but being pinned down and choked straight after surely woke them up. He continued to ridicule to which they said nothing so it was time to ‘use them’ since they wouldn’t react in an entertaining manner. That was how the kiss mark came to be. Using them came hand-in-hand with that perverse desire obviously. He then moved to kiss them to which they submitted accordingly— they don’t think anything they do will matter. However, I did also bring up in some tags briefly that they accept control but are sometimes reluctant. Narrator already knew them enough to warn them beforehand not to bite his tongue or else he’d turn theirs to mush. They still did it.
Narrator has a bad temper already so needless to say, he was very rough about crushing their cheeks with his fingers and warning them not to move so he can prepare his ‘retaliation’. He left the room. They disobeyed and hid out of sight with one of Asriel’s trophies. He came back and they tried to ambush him but he’d already predicted that would happen and managed to disarm them.
Narrator had brought tape with him, so he sealed their mouth and taped their wrists together to DOMINATE them. The inappropriate harassment continued until Toriel arrived home and called out for them. Narrator, unfazed, simply ripped off the tape from their mouth and threatened them to lie about their safety, all the while still ‘toying with their senses’. It impeded their response the first time, but when Toriel panicked and sought to open the door, they shouted and made things clear that they were alright. With that, Narrator could continue.
Halfway through however, Kristiel attempted to fight back by kneeing him in the backside but that only shook him—he did stop however and their eyes met. Despite the moral wrongdoings of before, the silence between them was almost unending. None of them knew what to do. Narrator was a lot more anxious as he was essentially taking advantage of the perk his boss gave him and could get in a lot of trouble for it. Kristiel on the other hand was trying to analyse the situation and didn’t pay attention...but they felt a little something.
Narrator, being caught in the trap of a more pure desire, which could get him into more trouble, had to be the one to put a stop to what was becoming less....unacceptable. But. He couldn’t bring himself to look away. Their eyes. Their hair. The shape of their lips. The features that were hidden behind a deadpan stare all becoming more and more prominent. Slowly, he tinted a shade of pink along with Kristiel. The silence continued and elongated further until Narrator broke the silence and looked away. “Don’t look at me.”
The frozen time had shattered and for the first time in a while, Kristiel let out a small giggle and smirked, feeling a little cocky to which Narrator lashed out at them for it. Again, time froze and this time Kristiel broke the silence. “Do it.”
As if breaking down every wall of Narrator’s inhibitions and COMMON SENSE, he lost it and gave himself to that warm fuzzy feeling that accumulated in that silence. Long story short, they made out and it got.....heated. Another first was taken but not skin-to-skin or anything serious. After a while, they finished and Narrator had to leave knowing full well he’d over stepped his boundaries. That said, in some way he didn’t regret it.
“I’m probably going to get in trouble but...did you at least enjoy it?”
The answer was obvious. Having his ego fuelled a little before he faced the consequences, he sought to leave before Kristiel called out, asking if they’d ever see him again. To that, he only smirked and left.
NOW! This may seem like a twisted love story but trust me, it isn’t. Narrator and Kristiel don’t want to end up together. Narrator can’t because of the circumstances that he himself and his boss have put in place. Kristiel is his toy. The toy he is meant to mend and destroy repeatedly — he can’t afford to develop feelings or have them do the same or else things will get very complicated. For Kristiel it’s a vendetta. A grudge. Narrator is the nightmare they tried to forget, he torments them, abuses them, makes them feel more like a pupper than they already do. He is the worst bully and Kristiel hates bullies. That said, they do have mutual understanding. Out of everyone, Narrator knows Kristiel better than them all. Everything they try to show people that just won’t look, whatever they try to hide within themselves, the majority. And for Kristiel, despite all the bad things, he makes them feel alive...something they long for. They’re always so dead inside, even his torture is enough to let them know they’re still alive. The two are strained and so “what are we?” Is a question they’ll have to keep asking themselves.
This went on longer than it should’ve...
Update: And unfortunately has been erased due to time travel. But… it will exist in their memories.
