#my top surgery just got pushed back and i understand why but im still disappointed about it#now i gotta tell my job 'lol jk im still gonna be here til mid september nevermind all the fmla paperwork i filed'#and it's sort of my fault?#surgery was initially double mastectomy (with aesthetic flat closure) which was recommended because i have the hella breast cancer gene#and i was under the impression that was approximately equivalent to top surgery. but the breast surgeon at the pre-op appointment today sai#we should bring in a plastic surgeon to do the closure to make sure there aren't any aesthetic problems.#which would be fine except surgery was supposed to be in a week and now i have to have a consultation with plastic surgery#and then reschedule the surgery date for a time when both the breast surgeon and the plastic surgeon are available.#anyway moral of the story is talk to your surgeon about any aesthetic concerns asap in the process because it's shitty to be let down

#WOW!!!! big number#i’m gonna have to do something for my t-versary#maybe i’ll try to retake childhood photos#or have a. cake or something#idk#punktalk#i’m gonna also 💪😂👊😂 call my insurance#and see if i can’t find a top surgeon who’s covered#but i’m wary of all the providers in my area cuz there are Three#and one has Allegations TM#one is pretty exclusively a breast cancer related mastectomy provider but does do top surgery for tguys as well#i’ve just heard mixed reviews of their patients’ results but i’d have to look deeper to see for myself#and i’ve heard it’s cheaper to go out of state at least where i live#several friends have gone to california#but yeah i’m gonna have to ask around n see#sigh
