Remembering Buddy Duress 1985-2024
Actor Buddy Duress has died at 38. He was a frequent collaborator of the Safdie Brothers, Benny and Josh. He worked with them on Heaven Knows What, but he really shined in the Safdie's awesome movie Good Time. He played the wrong criminal that Robert Pattinson sprung.

basically do you prefer to play solo or do you prefer to get the story run with the scions and then play with others or do you hate support/trust etc etc
this occurred to me when I was making the least favorite dungeons polls and people were mentioning other players as reasons they didn't like certain dungeons which is something I didn't consider for my own choices in later dungeons since I always run them as trusts unless I'm with a friend

Oh. Wait. I know we're all desperate for Oisin to still be an okay guy and I just realized. The original plan was NOT to kill Buddy. We don't even know what Kanterlilly Cornercopper was thinking when she did that. I imagine Oisin agreed to help assassinate the proctor (perhaps under duress), but not to killing Buddy.
Maybe right now, he and some of the others are screaming at Kipperlily, asking her how she could do that again, how she could let that happen a second time. Maybe they're all in too deep, trapped in their own, sticky web of honeyed lies. Maybe they've forgotten things they should've been more careful to remember. Maybe even Kipperlily doesn't know what she's doing any more except chasing a failing, intangible dream.

Nie Mingjue has questions for the ghost Wei Wuxian: namely, what is it like being dead. But he knows better than to get a direct answer. Instead, he’ll more likely get a laugh, a cold water sensation of an immaterial arm over his shoulder and some nonsense answer that may or may not have a grain of truth at its center.
But none of the ‘sect ghosts’ employed by the major sects talk about their deaths unless under duress via Inquiry. Negotiators who can’t be killed when terms goes sour, warriors who don’t tire, spies who can vanish without trace. Some flit from sect to sect wherever they’re summoned—some dedicate themselves to one cultivation family.
Several generations before, Qinghe Nie inherited Wei Wuxian in the aftermath of the Qishan Wen massacre, and then he just…never left. Now he just hangs out in the Unclean Realm, making snarky comments about Nie Mingjue’s leadership decisions and his personal health, and if he doesn’t do something about that yang imbalance Wei Wuxian is going to be joined swiftly by a new ghost buddy.
To which an overworked and irritable Nie Mingjue barks back that if the ghost is willing to do something about that frankly horrifying yin imbalance as well, they might have a deal.
Before he snaps his mouth shut at the embarrassing realization that he just propositioned a ghost.
…It goes about as well as one would think.
