Bruh, I'm so... Well obviously anxious about everything, duh
But then something I was anxious about turned out okay... Boy the level of relief I feel...
#miranda talking shit#I texted oliver to send me pics of his baking yesterday bc he said he was going to bake#But he didn't respond so i thought ... Ok i crossed a line. I was weird. He thinks im weird. Hes going to tell me in person tomorrow that#Im a creep and should stop. Nope he just said... I didnt end up baking yesterday but today I'll try again and send you the pics#The level of relief i felt was unmatched like oh... Oh gosh thank you#I know that i guess technically i shouldn't text him if its not work related. To my defense i havent either until now#So i crossed that line and thought for sure he'd be annoyed at least but seems im good#I kinda love and hate how our situation is set up ... Aka id say hes my friend but technically#I cant say that. Bc hes employed and works when we meet up... We've both made comments like being friends etc#Not straight out. But he have said like 'when i get an decent pc set up and running#We need to play some games togheter' and i mean... We have definitely shared more stuff with each other than#Patient/worker should have... I just know i cant actually say out loud that we are friends bc thats rule breaking /:#Feel the same way about magnus and it sucks. Id love to be able to talk with them as friends and meet up and do stuff#I mean i guess i could technically just... Quit hiring services from the company they work at and then it would be fine#But im kinda scared they'd not be comfortable talking with me outside of work like... I could just be imagining things#Maybe they are just being polite and thats it... Like yeah#So yeah its me being a coward and saying 'this is enough' bc i do get to meet them at least once per week for an hour this way#I know mom had this issue when working in this field. She have had more than one customer she formed close bonds with#But she still kept in contact with them after quitting. But thats her mom is like me we get attached#I can't assume others do bc then it'll hurt so much more if im wrong :')

I guess today was ok even though it didn't start very well. I have been having nightmares every time I sleep now so I woke up in a panic. I wish I could get them to stop but the only thing that has ever helped with that is smoking and I don't really have anything left now. It's making me so grumpy. I hate being responsible sometimes.
Everyone else was also really crabby this morning too and no one wanted to talk to me. It's super uncomfortable when they're like that. It's probably because I took yesterday off and they knew I didn't have anything planned so they probably thought it was unnecessary for me to do that. I'm not sure what else I could have done to deserve that but whatever. I'm just tired of the bullshit and I'm ready for it to end soon. Some people were just acting weird all day. The new guy asked me if I knew of any good hiding spots where he could go to cry. I couldn't tell if he was serious or not but I didn't really know how to respond so I just laughed. There's also another guy in my department who keeps trying to flirt with me and won't stop calling me beautiful and amazing and I don't like it. It's nice to be complimented and stuff but he won't stop even though I have made it pretty clear that I'm not interested. He makes me uncomfortable. The other day he was trying to figure out if I was interested in having any children. I am doing my best to keep my distance and I can't really do anything about it unless he crosses a line. Sadly he's not the first person to try to do that to me. I'm also getting tired of one of the instrument reps making sexual jokes towards me and others when he's a married man with a baby. I have put up with it for years and I try to ignore it most of the time but it has been bothering me more lately. He likes to call me his "sexy china doll" and then he's always all over a lot of the girls. Everyone thinks he's so funny but I feel sorry for his wife and I hate how people encourage him to be that way. It's kind of gross how inappropriate behavior is so prevalent in that place and people just get away with it most of the time unless someone catches you doing something really bad. I don't want to be around that anymore.
Luckily the rest of my day went pretty well. It wasn't as busy as it usually is but I guess I am going to make up for that tomorrow. I got off 15 minutes early. My dad also fixed my car when I got home so I'm happy about that. I already ate dinner and got my pajamas on. I'm planning on going to bed earlier tonight but we'll see what happens. I hope tomorrow starts better than today did and that the next 2 days pass quickly.

"Wow, you're so early today," Yeosang remarked sarcastically as you flew down the last flight of stairs, huffing and puffing.
"Oh, shut up," you groaned, one hand still on the metal railing for support and the other, holding on tightly to the steamed bun that your mother insisted you gave to your friend. Yeosang had briefly mentioned that he skips breakfast out of laziness and now your mother makes it a point to feed him too, arguing that it would help him focus in class better. Well, it seems like she doesn't know that he's already a straight As student. At least you get to enjoy some peace and quiet, though very temporarily, for the bun was promptly stuffed into his mouth the second Yeosang attempted to bicker with you.
Just two students walking to the bus stop side by side, one chewing on his food with his eyes straight ahead and the other just looking up, watching as the sky slowly changes from pink to a light blue. In your mind it looked very cinematic, but you just knew it was definitely not. Not with the constant angry honking on the streets, nor the occasional loose advertisement flyer that rolls across the floor just ahead of you two.
And the bus arriving just on time was definitely not what would happen in a romance film. The main characters are always seated on the bench (in silence) watching countless of buses drive past; the scene shot from across the road. You get the idea.
"I get the window seat today!" You charged for the last row, shoving Yeosang to the side while doing so. The both of you preferred it to the aisle seat, and came to an agreement to alternate everyday. But you can only count on Yeosang to not keep to the deal, always stealing your rightful seat when it's not his turn. Not today though.
When you don't hear Yeosang even trying to chase you, you turned back to see that he had settled for the other side. He's so annoyingly clever, you must admit.
"Cheater!" You whined, stomping your feet on the ground like a child whose mother denied a new toy.
"What? Can't we sit apart for once?" Yeosang stuck his tongue out at you before putting on his airpods, the iPad already out of his backpack. He knew you would have no other choice but to move to his side if you wanted to read the webtoon with him. And of course, he was right. Maybe you're just too easy to play with.
Yeosang had to stifle a laugh when you reluctantly shifted to the seat beside him, your arms crossed over your backpack that was sat on your lap. "You're such a baby sometimes," he remarked, his tone half disappointed half joking, which you responded to with a 'tsk'.
"You read it without me!" You accused when you noticed that the chapter after the one you both had stopped at was marked as read. It was a webtoon you both enjoyed, which was why the decision to read it together on the way to school was made.
"No, I didn't-" Yeosang wraps his hand around your pointed finger and pushes it away-"I just accidentally clicked on it."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, now stop whining."
And okay, maybe Yeosang did read the chapter ahead of you. But how else was he going to keep up with the story and admire your beauty at the same time? That was basically impossible since he would like to focus on only one thing at a time.
Yeosang wonders if the song playing from your earphones is a happy tune despite the furrow in your eyebrows (the male lead in the webtoon did something stupid). He thought about it for three seconds and concluded that that was most likely the case, your music playlist is full of 'serotonin inducing songs' to quote you. Not exactly his cup of tea, especially in the morning before school, but he gets why you like them so much. You, on the other hand, don't understand why his morning playlist is full of ballads. Even his hiphop playlist would be a better way to start off the day.
"You're a jerk," you snarled under your breath, causing Yeosang to whip his head around to look at the electronic screen. His heart had almost jumped right out when you had said that, but he sighed in relief when he realised that you were just frustrated at how dense the male lead was.
"It's obvious that she likes him, is he dumb? How can he say that?" You frowned, causing Yeosang to chuckle at how engrossed you were. "He's the worst, I wish she would just like the other guy instead."
"What did he say?"
"He said 'just thinking about dating you makes me nauseous'," you read the line out without questioning why Yeosang even asked, too into the storyline to care.
"Ouch, that kinda hurts," Yeosang said, clutching a hand over his chest playfully. "That felt a little personal."
"What do you know?" You shot him a weird look before rushing him to move on to the next page, desperate to find out what happens next. You didn't really think twice about his words, which really did sting Yeosang a little.
Yeosang turns away to look out of the slightly fogged windows, mindlessly staring at the blurred red lights on the road as the ballad reaches its emotional climax. It's at this moment where he wonders again, but this time about whether he loves early mornings because of how ballads hit different then, or because he's with you. Yeosang doesn't have a definite answer for this one, it's been way too long since he has spent a morning listening to ballads without you beside him. Maybe he should try not to sleep in this coming weekend so that he could put his feelings to test.
"Bruh, I swear you read it without me again." You were certain about that when you catch him drifting away into his own thoughts once again.
This time Yeosang doesn't argue back, a faint smile growing on his face as he muttered under his breath, "fool."

Next Time, No Death, Yeah?
Chapter 10 of '100 Promises'
Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
Warnings: Swearing, weapons, violence, blood
You were somewhere in Tokyo. Where? You'd find out sooner or later.
Currently however, you were walking through an abandoned mall. Everything was abandoned, so it didn't make this one anymore special than the millions of buildings in Tokyo. There was broken glass under your shoes that crunched when you stepped on it. "That's fucking satisfying," you whispered. "You're weird," Last Boss said from besides you. "Ok, if anytime you talk it's an insult to me imma hit you," you said, glaring playfully at him. It was an empty threat, he noticed, seeing as your tone of voice was too light and playful to be a real threat. "I wouldn't test her patience. She can be a real bitch when she wants to," Niragi stated, walking in front if both of you. Last Boss saw your eyes narrow, like a cat about to pounce on its prey. You reached your hand out, and tugged on his hair. "I just said if you insult me I'll hit you," you laughed. "Ow. Fuck you," he cursed, rubbing his scalp as you laughed. You shrugged your shoulders walking faster, ready for anything to happen. 'What could go wrong?' You thought. 'All the militants must be pretty trust worthy if the have weapons.'
Well, that's what you thought when you first got there. Now, not so much. One of the militants had tried to escape, seeing as they got all they needed from the Beach. Hiding behind objects when the man had a gun seemed like the best idea. "Alright, so what do we do?" You questioned Niragi, who kept looking from the side of the cement wall you two were hiding behind. "Stop the guy, and try not to get shot," Niragi responded, a tone of sarcasm in his voice. You noticed, but really it was a solid plan. Not getting shot was the best outcome for both of you. "Sounds like a good plan to me, let's go!" You shouted. He found it amusing how only a few days into the borderlands, you had already adapted. There was so much change, and usually you didn't do well with change. But yet here you were. "He's going to run out of bullets. And he can't change them that fast. So, let's wait till he runs out, then we grab him and take the gun away," you suggested, pointing at a mirror that showed the reflection of the man. "His bullet case is strapped onto his belt... You damn genius," he said, petting the top of your head. You leaned into his touch, enjoying the feeling. You smiled, shrugging your shoulders. "You the left, I'll take the right," he instructed. "Oki doki, let's goooo I'm bored!" You exclaimed, loading up your pistol. He kneeled down, peeking out the side of where you were hiding. "On the count of three?"
"Yeah."
"One."
"Two."
"Three!"
You both ran at him, being concentrated on the gun. He tried to shoot, but he had already ran out. He reached to grab bullets, but you aimed your gun, shooting it at his arm. He dropped his gun, yelping in pain. Niragi kicked the gun away from him. "Nice shot (N/N)," he complimented, high fiving you. He turned his attention back to the man on the floor. Blood was passing through the hand that covered his wound, staining it crimson. "Damn, any last words? Regrets? You know, death to the traitors and all," Niragi asked, crouching down besides the man, pointing his gun at the man's chest. He gulped, and took a shaky sigh. ''Yeah. I only regret that a girl took me down," he said. Your eyes widened, and you grabbed the knife from its sheath on your waist. You bent down to his level, stabbing the knife into his stomach, and twisting it. He screamed in pain. "This girl knows how to murder and get away with it," you said. You let go of the knife stepping back. He immediately pulled the knife out, making both you and Niragi laugh. "Hey, dumbass. That makes more blood come out," Niragi snickered. The man tried making pressure on his stomach his shirt staining dark red. "Alright, I'm bored. Someone else can do that. I got his blood on me, I feel nasty," You said, grabbing Niragi's hand and pulling him along with you.
Once you entered a random store, you looked down. There was blood covering your hands, and your swimsuit. You cringed in disgust. "That was pretty fucking badass," Niragi said, walking around the store. You sighed, "I guess." It dawned on you that since you were a militant, you could wear actual clothes. "Wait, so on supply runs what do guys collect?" You asked. Niragi turned to face you. "Anything and everything that could be useful. And of course, we are allowed to bring back personal items if wanted," he answered. You smirked, grabbing some backpacks off of one of the shelves, giving one to Niragi. "These would be easier to carry things around in," you suggested. "Ok, well then you take the pink strawberry one," he said. You rolled your eyes, trading backpacks with him. "Suck up your fragile masculinity you stupid fuck~," you sang before laughing. He shook his head, following you around. It really was like you two never skipped a beat. Sure, your whole lives had gotten derailed, but being back together made most things ok. The longest you two had been without each other had been the two months you stayed with your grandmother. After that first summer without him, you always asked if he could go with you. Even though you had called each other every night, you couldn't go to sleep. It wasn't like he was with you every night, but knowing you'd see him the next day would always comfort you. You didn't know why, it just did. So every summer both of you would have two months of peace at your grandmother's house.
"Alright, that's two bags full for each of us. Let's see if we can fill a third?" He asked. You both put the bags in the car. The person who was guarding the cars thanked you both. She looked down at your hands, and back up at you. You gave her a friendly smile seeing her stare. You sort of forgot about your blood stained hands. She smiled nervously, waving you both away.
"What was her problem?" You scoffed, crossing your arms over your chest as you both walked back. "Blood," he answered, pointing at your hands. "Oh... well, sounds like a her problem," you said nonchalantly. It was quiet. Something you hadn't taken the time to appreciate before. Living in the city, there was always something making noise, it was never quiet. But now, looking at the desolate city of Tokyo, you sighed happily. It reminded you of the quiet up at your grandmother's house when you were little.
"Hello? Earth to (Y/N), Earth to (Y/N)," Niragi teased, waving his hand in front of your face.  You shook your head snapping out of your daydream. "Sorry... spaced out. What else do we need to do?"
On the way back, people were more talkative and cheerful. They had done a lot, running through the empty streets to find things. You were quite excited to return back, as Chishiya had mentioned talking again when you got back.
"(Y/N), piece of advice. Don't go to the parties at the Beach... everyone's to drunk to notice anything, and no one stops anyone from doing anything. So be careful," Kuina said. You two had been talking for a while besides the pool, watching others splash each other with water. You nodded, looking around. "It also seems you've caught the attention of Chishiya. He seems to think you're quite smart. That's near impossible, good job girl," she complimented. You laughed, shaking your head. "This is the first time in months I've been... truly happy, I guess you could say," you said, looking down at blue water in the pool. "What do you mean by that?" She questioned. "Well, back in our world, I thought my best friend was dead, so... I wasn't in the best mental state," you answered. "Ew, sorry, I just made this conversation about me. Ick, I hate it," you shuddered, shaking your hands. "Please tell me something about you Kuina?"
"They seem to get along well. She keeps him in line, she could be very useful," Ann observed after hearing what happened at the supply run. "She's also quite the wildcard, if you ask me. Dangerous, but calculated. Seems like she'd be a methodical killer in a show or something," Last Boss commented. This drew some attention, as he never spoke about others that often. It was often short answers, but it seemed you'd peaked his interest.  "Well, it's no use just talking about their skills. Put them to the test!" Hatter suggested, a bit too cheerfully for everyone in the room. "Haven't they proven themselves already? She's pretty high up for a newcomer, and Niragi has been here for a while, he's a high rank as well," Ann questioned, turning to face Hatter. "They've proven themselves as individuals. But if we have a pair that is on the same level physically and mentally, who seem to find fun in the games, that trust each other..." Hatter started, trailing off. Ann caught on to what he was saying. "It's an advantage for us in the end... in using their connection, it makes them stronger players?" Ann said, suggesting her thoughts. Hatter smiled widely, "Bingo! The easier the games are to clear, the faster we can all leave!" Of course, Ann was a bit uneasy at the idea. You had both proven yourselves to be useful, even in the short time you'd been there. Niragi, while annoying to deal with at times, did have amazing abilities with guns. He was able to complete games without hesitation to hurt others to get his goal, and that's what made him such an asset to the Beach. People feared him. The more you fear a person or punishment, you are more likely to not do what lead to dealing with that person or consequence. You were already building quite the reputation. Although coming into the Beach with Niragi, you would expect people to avoid you. People backed away from you even more now, seeing as you were a militant, and a dangerous one at that. You two were equally as intelligent and dangerous, the only difference being you thought things out before rushing in. He was more impulsive. A do now, think later kind of person. You, however, you thought first, thinking of outcomes, and followed through.  It would be interesting to see how you two worked together.
Wow that took a while to write for no reason at all.

Cruel Summer Part 3-Chan
Warnings: mild smut. Language. ANGST
It was a week later and I hadn't seen Chan all day. He had been busy preparing for an interview with the boys and he wasn't going to be back at the dorms until late because of practice. After that night we had made things official but not completely. He told the boys of course who had a feeling something was going on. But he had not told his manager or the company about it since they are on a dating ban until next year. Seems pretty stupid if you ask me but at least he's mine right?
For the past week I have been living at the dorms with the boys cause my apartment is getting renovated no thanks to my neighbors neglect of their pasta and setting almost all of their kitchen on fire and mine as well. Since there are people there working I can't sleep so Chan offered for me to sleep over at the dorms. Of course me being me thinking I can get in on some one on one time with him since that night we confessed didn't end with an intense session of fucking. Instead he drove us to ihop and we ate pancakes. Yeah pancakes are great but I wanted some dick. Some Chan Dick™️.
We actually haven't touched each other for about a week and half. Yeah he's busy but man my mind can wonder just laying in his bed all day waiting for him to come back.
The rain began to pour and I fell asleep on the pillowy soft bed. It smelled like him too. Now you're wondering what he smells like. But only I know. It was around 12am when I heard the creaking of the door open and shuffled footsteps approach the bed. His heavy breathing makes me confused. Was he in a hurry to get back? Tossing over to the side where he is I opened my eyes slowly.
"Channie.." I said quietly. He sits down on the bed and cups my face in his hands smiling.
"Did I wake you? I'm sorry baby.." he said kissing me on the forehead. He takes off his shirt leaving only his boxers on. Climbing into bed with me he reaches for my torso pulling me close to his. He drapes his arm around my waist and I feel his hot breath on my neck. Everything is calm and cozy but I kind of wanna raise a little hell. I adjust my position stretching my legs then rubbing my butt against his front earning a confusing grunt from the boy behind me.
"Baby are you ok?" He mumbles out half asleep  reaching for my hand and holding it.
"Mmmm yeah I am it's just.." I trail off.
"Hm? What's wrong? Are you cold I can turn off the fan or get you a blanket did you need something?" He continued on worry in his eyes.
"Maybe not something.." I said looking at him hoping he would get my drift.
"Oh uh ok goodnight then heh " he responded sounding nervous. How is this man so dense. What do I have to do take his dick out and suck it?  Maybe if I just flat out say it. I want your dick.
"I want your dick". I said flatly. Chan's eyes opened wide. He began to laugh covering his face.
"Sorry sorry .....sorry". He said between laughs.
"Yah! What's so funny!"  I said sitting up irritated.
"No no! You're just so bold all of a sudden. I was just surprised." He said smiling and catching his breath from laughing.  I climbed over to him sitting on top of him. His arms stretched behind his head relaxed. He had a dazed smile on his face.
"Why are you looking at me like that.." I said slowly. He chuckled and remover his hands from behind his head and placed them in my waist.
"This is just the first time we are doing this together ever since we made it official. I'm just nervous. " He says eyes looking away.
"Nervous about what? We did this before.. I've seen your dick before chan?" I said crossing my arms.
"Yeah but this is the first time in this setting. In my home. What if it's different or like ?" He goes on and I cut him off mid sentence with a kiss to the lips.
"I missed those rude interruptions.." he said as he began to feel around my waist pulling me in for a longer kiss. His lips are soft and welcoming. He feels like coming home. In the heat of the moment he takes the time to take off my sweatshirt and shorts leaving me in nothing on top of him. His boxers begin to feel a bit uncomfortable for him as his dick begins to make its self known underneath my lap. Taking my hand I begin the stroke him. He stops me for a second to take off his boxers leaving nothing on him. He then takes me by my waist lining me up with his throbbing dick dripping with pre cum. When I go down on him it takes me a second to get comfortable but once i do I begin to ride him slowly. Chans moans are low in tone but loud in volume. I kept going till I heard laughing coming from the other room making me stop and my eyes shoot to Chans panicked.
"It's just hyunjin and his girlfriend. They watch 90 day fiance every Friday night." Chan explains pleading with his eyes for me to keep going. I nod my head and continue on until I feel it building up. I know he feels it too because there is no way Hyunjin and his girlfriend can't hear him. While riding out my high all I can think of is how their laughing and talking ceased. Snapping me out of that was Chan thrusting into my rapidly trying to cum. When he does I feel it shoot up into and the warmth begins to ooze out as I climb off of him. He kisses my cheek rolling over to hold me. With that i fell asleep.
The next morning I woke up and Chan was gone. I was a bit sad since I had always Imagined what it would finally be like wake up by his side in this context. My only one. Instead I feel that feeling that I was all too familiar with. Waving up the next morning in the hotel room to an empty bed and money on the table to tip the maid. I'm sure he needed to go to practice so i decided to get up forgetting about what he did inside me the night before. Touching my upper inner thigh it felt sticky to the touch. Walking over to the corner to grab my clothes I put them on and walk into the hallway to find the bathroom. Walking past Hyunjin's room I hear similar sounds Chan and I were making the night before. The only difference is their "I fucking love you" and "fuck you too ahh". Chan never really talked to me or expressed his feelings during sex. Walking into the bathroom my head was hung over. Removing my clothes and locking the door I took my phone out of my pocket and texted Chan.
Me: hey where did you go? Practice? Cuz hyunjin is here still
Sent
Placing it on the counter I step into the shower and begin to wash away the night before. After I was finished in the shower I wrap myself in a towel and sit on the stool by the counter checking my phone for any response from Chan. Before I could look there's a knocking at the door.
"Hey uhh when are you done cause we need to shower .." Hyunjim says.
"Oh my God don't say it like that. First you sound rude and second you make us sound gross." The girl said laughing.
"Yeah I'm done hold on." I said laughing. I slipped my clothes back on and opened the door. There stood hyunjin and his girlfriend holding towels behind their backs. Weird. The girl was shorter than him by like 8 inches at least but that didn't stop him from hugging her from behind as they waited. Scrolling through tiktoks and laughing in their own world I made my first foot step loud to get their attention. This worked cause the moment the door way was free I heard them yelling about racing to see who could get naked the fastest and the door slamming shut. What an odd couple. I look at my phone looking for Chans reply and there it is.
Chan: we were crazy to think that this would work
Huh.
Me: Chan what do you mean where are you?
Chan: I'm at the spot. Meet me there.
Racing to get there grab my shoes and leave the dorm and take the short walk it was to our spot. The vending machine alley. Once I arrived i ran over to him giving him a hug. He was sitting on the ground with his head in his hands as he colors me blue.
"You make me blue." I said pouting and taking a seat next to him on the pavement. He reaches for my hand and holds it.
"We're we stupid to jump into this?" Chan begins.
"What are you talking about we've been seeing each other for months?" I said questioning him.
"I can't seem to separate what we had previously and what we have now. Last night felt the same and I don't know why but I'm confused..." He said looking at me.
"Con confused? It felt the same cause we've liked each other that's why! That's a good thing..." I said laughing.
"No it's not I should feel protective over you and want to be the only guy for you but it occurred to me that if I saw you with someone else I wouldn't be hurt.." Chan said seriously.
"I can't talk to you when you're like this! Fuck Chan you always over think everything!" I said taking my hand back.
"No listen to me.." he said.
"I thought we could get away with this. But I look at Hyun and his girlfriend and i think that's not how I see us.." he said choking up.
The nerve of him to cry cause that's all I wanted to do. He's all I wanted but not like this.
"You're all I wanted Chan.." I said as I cried. He squeezed my hand.
"I know..." He said looking down disappointed in himself.
"I care about you. I do but I don't think I can do this. I feel like there's a standard for dating and what if Im not doing it right?" He said still crying.
" We don't need to do it right. We can do it our way. Don't be scared of me. Don't be scared of us. You know everyone always warns you about times like this. The road feels long and you feel lost. But we can be lost together. We might get away with this.." I said to him reaching for his face shaking. I kissed his cheek with my quivering lips as a tear rolled down his face.
"Religion is in your lips." He said wiping his tears then mine.
"It's a false God but I'll still worship this love." Chan said leaning in to kiss me.
We aren't perfect people but we might be the perfect people for each other. We just need to try and hold on through the tough times cause through the dark there is always daylight.

Yancy x gender neutral!reader
@spycii ty for the prompt!
A/N: holy shit this took so long lol. I suck at writing angst unless it's with my own characters,,, this is so very bad I'm sorry,,, also Yancy has anger issues apparently. Rated T for some cursing. Angst(?) w/fluff at the end. I'm sorry I can't write straight angst it's too much for me.
Word Count: 2k
---
Yancy was elated when you decided to stay with him. He'd been pretty interested in you since you showed up, and didn't want you going and breaking out. When you told him you were staying, he was happier than he had any right to be. Yes! He got to spend more time with yous! That's amazing!
The first few weeks were great. You two loved talking and hanging out. Yancy could sense the others were a bit jealous of you, but he really didn't care much. You were all he really needed. After about two months, he noticed you distancing yourself. You were keeping a space between you and him when you hung out, and not talking as much. Half a year had passed and you just stopped. You stopped talking, stopped actively hanging out with him, stopped acknowledging him. He was disappointed, to say the least. The other inmates started to be around him more, but he didn't pay any attention to them. He thought of different ways to get you back. He convinced one of the cooks to bake you a cake for your birthday. You seemed to appreciate the effort and started talking to him again. You talked to him about how you missed your family, and Yancy tried to convince you to not care about it.
"C'mon, yous has a new family! We're your family!" He consoled. "Yous needs to leave the past in the past." You smiled at him appreciatively. He loved it when you smiled. So when you stopped smiling altogether, he got worried. He told you about his worries, and you told him you were fine. He didn't believe you. To sell the fact that you were fine, you forced yourself to smile more often. He'd tell you a joke to make you feel better, and you'd smile at him. But he could tell it wasn't a real smile. It was a smile to make him feel better.
It didn't, really.
But he pretended like it did so you didn't have to worry.
You two would always meet out in the yard at the same time every day, but one day, you hadn't shown up. Yancy waited in you guys' spot for half an hour before thinking to look somewhere else. He started to go back inside when Bambam stopped him.
"Hi, Yancy!" He greeted happily. "How've you been?" Yancy smiled at him, slightly aggravated, not wanting to show it.
"Hey, Bambam. I've been alright," he answered. Bambam looked around.
"So, where's the new family member?" he asked. The fact that Bambam was stopping him from finding exactly who he was talking about angered Yancy. He knew you wouldn't want him to snap at his family, so he kept it to himself.
"That's what I was hoping to find out. They's been… upset lately…" he explained. Bambam frowned.
"Oh. What do you think the problem is?" He asked worried.
"I'm not sure…" Yancy sighed, "they's… talked about missing their family…" Bambam scratched his neck.
"You know, Yancy, they seemed pretty attached to their family… maybe it'd be better for them if they left…" he suggested. Yancy clenched his fists.
"No, it wouldn't. They like it here. They don't want to leave," he growled. Bambam stepped back at his violent tone, and Yancy walked past him and into the prison.
He wandered the halls, looking for you. You weren't in any of the places you two hung out. Finally, he checked your cell, where you've said you don't like going. You were there on the bed, curled up on your side in a fetal position. He sighed in relief and opened the door. You flinched as you heard the door creak. He walks into the cell quietly.
"There yous is! I was starting to get worried you'd taken parole." He joked. You didn't respond or even acknowledge he'd walked in. He stood there for a minute, not knowing what to do. Eventually he sighed.
"Ok, can yous just… tell me what's wrong? I've been worried about yous and… I'm not sure what to do about it… tell me?" You don't respond. "Please?" You sighed.
"I miss Mark." You said bluntly. Yancy stood there, not really knowing how to respond.
"Mark? Didn't he… you know… die? Or did he just… take parole? There's really nothing I can-"
"I miss Mark, I miss my friends, I miss my family…" you said, voice wavering. Yancy knits his eyebrows, not understanding what you want.
"So? I don't know what you want to-"
"I want to leave, Yancy." You finally turned to look at him and he saw your red eyes and tear-stained cheeks. He frowned at you.
"Leave? But… you decided to stay!" He started to get angry. "Why would you want to leave?!" You stood up.
"Because I miss the people in my life Yancy!" You raised your voice at him.
"Then why did you stay?! Why haven't you broken out or taken parole or… or…" he was cut off by you.
"Because I'm in love with you, you fucking moron!" You yelled. He steps back at your accusing tone. In love… with him? That made him happy, but the tears flowing from your eyes destroyed that feeling and replaced it with guilt. "You love it here. You love your family. And I love you and I want you to be happy. So I stayed." You explain. "I had a family! I had people who loved me and now they don't even visit me! I am not happy! I haven't been happy in awhile! I want to leave!" Yancy stopped thinking clearly and blurted the first thing that came to mind.
"Then leave! Just fucking go, then!" He said, his voice venomous. You stare at him and compose yourself.
"Maybe I will."
And you did.
You broke out of the prison after two days. All the inmates were happy that you'd be with your people again, but they saw something was different with Yancy. He was more distant. More angry. He snapped at them a lot and made rude comments. Tiny decided that she was going to confront him about it. He had no right to do this to them. She was gonna march into his cell and give him a piece of her mind. That's what she'd do.
She walked into his cell and…
He was there. On his bed. Sobbing into his hands. She could see the tears seeping through his fingers.
And all her plans were flung out the window.
She tiptoed over and gently sat next to him. He flinched before turning away, wiping his face.
"What do you want?" He asked, attempting to sound tough. He just sounded sad. Tiny put a hand on his shoulder. He turned to her, looking at her hand weirdly. She sighed.
"What's the problem, Yancy?" She asked gently. He tried to glare at her, but his lip started quivering and he let out a sob, burying his face into his hands again. Tiny patted his back in an attempt to make him feel better.
"I miss them… I miss them so much…" he cried. Tiny frowned and furrowed her eyebrows.
"Yancy..." She began. She was going to try to convince him to get over you. But before she could, he just went on rambling on and on about everything he loved and missed about you. Your skin, your eyes, your smile…
She could tell this wasn't going away anytime soon.
"Yancy…" She sighed. "You need to make parole." Yancy looked up at her.
"W-What?"
"You need to be good. You need to not be seen as a threat anymore. You need to leave."
"But-"
"You love them. There's nothing you can do about that, except be with them."
"Tiny… I've done-"
"Yeah, yeah, bad things. You killed people. Yancy, I'll be honest, none of us really care about that. You're the only one. We think you deserve to be happy, and if being with them is how that's gonna happen, then so be it," She explained. Yancy was about to argue, but he thought about your face when he told you to leave, and he closed his mouth.
"Ok…"
He turned into the perfect prisoner. He did everything he was told, he didn't speak out of line, he worked as a cook in the cafeteria, he got rid of his shank. He eventually made parole. That was great, but he wasn't exactly sure where to go from there. How was he supposed to find you? He was on his way out when he saw the guy you came in with. What was his name… Mark? You had mentioned that you were roommates, so he figured this was his best chance. Yancy walked up to him and tapped his shoulder. He turned towards him, startled.
"Uh… hi? Can I help you?" He asked.
"Where do you live?"
"Pardon?"
"Sorry… I'm Yancy. I want to find your friend and… I figure… you would know where they live… since you live together…" he explained awkwardly. Mark stared at him for a moment.
"Why do you want to find them?" He asked, suspicious. Yancy blushed a bit and scratched his neck. Mark rolled his eyes before taking a piece of paper and writing an address on it. He handed Yancy the piece of paper.
"Knock when you get there." He explained. "You don't look like a serial killer… this may be a bad idea but… I suppose I can trust Y/N to take care of themselves. Besides, this year's already been weird as hell... I'm sure it'll be fine." Yancy nodded and thanked him. He asked his parole officer to take him to the address. On the ride there, he bounced his leg, anxious for what you'd say. Would you forgive him? Would you still be mad? Would you hate him? He'd deserve it…
"Here." The officer said as they parked near a house. Yancy nodded and got out of the car, approaching the house. He stopped at the door and raised his fist to knock. He stopped, suddenly realizing that he'd rather not have you tell him he wasn't worth a visit every three weeks. He slowly lowered his arm to his side and sighed. He turned back towards the cop car and-
click
"Yancy?"
creak
Yancy spun back around to look at the door, where you were standing. You looked… better than in the prison. Less tired. Less sad.
"Hey! How's it going?" He asked nervously. You weren't smiling, you weren't asking a bunch of questions about him, you didn't seem very interested in him or what he was doing there. That made him nervous. He shifted in his spot. You both were silent for a moment. You crossed your arms and took a breath.
"I thought… I thought you liked prison, Yance." He smiled at the nickname.
"Oh, uh… I…" he swallowed, his throat dry. "I-I like yous a little more than I do prison…" you stared at him. He shuffled his feet. You sighed.
"Yancy…"
"Ok, look. I know I messed up. I know. But I want to make it right, and I want to be with yous." You raised an eyebrow.
"Be with me… as in…?"
"Dating. Yes." He said quickly. You tap your arm.
"Yancy… I don't…" you start. He can feel his heart shattering already. "You're the one who told me to leave the past in the past… that's what I was doing with the prison." You explained.
"Well… maybe… since I'm in yous' present… I can be part of your future!"
"What?"
"I'm not sure…"
"Yancy…" you started. He looked at you hopefully. You sighed. "I'll… think about it."
"Oh… right, sure…"
"You have a place to stay, right?"
"Yeah! Yeah, I'm good."
"Ok, good."
"Yeah… well…bye" he turned back towards the police car and started walking. You stood at the doorway, watching him. You bit your lip before taking a breath.
"Yancy!" You called. He spun back towards you. You grin slightly. "Let's get coffee sometime." His eyes widened.
"O-Okay! Sure!" He agreed. You closed your door. He got back into the police car, smiling widely.
"So…" the officer started. Yancy turned to him.
"Hm?"
"That was the most Hallmark thing I've ever seen…"
"Shut up…"
"Seriously! That looked so cliche!"
"SHUT. UP."
"I thought I was about to hear some romantic violin,"
"Please just drive…"
GOD this SUCKS I'm so sorry

business trip
fluff (cliché)
the first thing seungmin noticed that day when he entered the meeting’s room was you sitting in a suit and with a serious face right in front of his usual spot as the head of the company. the meeting was to acquire a new small business his adviser thought would help in the growth of his now successful company and the last thing he thought he’ll see that day was his high school’s best friend little sister sitting as the head of the new project.
you didn’t look much like he remembered. seungmin had always seen you as a kid, younger than him for only a year but your chubby cheeks and big eyes always made you look younger than you were. he had never thought of you as a big business woman, even if you were one of the smartest students in your year, you were quiet and shy so to see you sitting at the big table surrounded by business men and not a single nervous sign in your body was kind of weird, nonetheless he was happy to see a familiar face.
the moment he crosses the big crystal doors all the people waiting inside stands up to greet him, including you, a surprised look on your face, wide eyes and gaped mouth, that makes seungmin chuckle, you haven't changed that much. he takes his spot in front of you and the meeting starts. it’s the usual, both of you talking about what you want to accomplish with this deal and he’s pleasantly surprised to hear you speak confidently, hyunjin would be happy to know his sister is doing so well under the judgmental eyes of the currently youngest ceo in korea. when all the topics are done being discussed the two of you sign all the paper work and everyone starts walking out of the room.
seungmin’s about to reach his office door when he feels a tap on his shoulder. you’re standing there, a faint smile on your face.
“h-hi, seungmin, i’m y/n, i don’t know if you remember me, but i’m hyunjin’s little sister? from high school?”, seungmin finds it cute how much you try to explain yourself and he watches you struggle for a moment before interrupting, a hand raising up signaling for you to shut up.
“i do remember you, y/n”, the way your name rolls of his tongue and the soft gaze he sends your way making you blush. you’ve always thought of seungmin as just your brother’s best friend, of course at some point you had developed a crush on him. seungmin was smart, handsome and had always been nice to you. you hadn’t seen him since his generation had graduated and now you know why.
you don't notice you've been staring at him without saying a word till he clears his throat. “if that’s all, i have a lot of work to do, have a nice day”, and he disappears inside his office before you can even say goodbye, leaving you dumbfounded because of his sudden change of mood. with a sigh you make your way out of the 20th floor building back home.
you’re really proud of what you've accomplished with this project you founded yourself, but sometimes you see what others have done and your small success seems even smaller. specially when you see your high school crush dressing with armani suits while you have to thrift shop one for this meeting. when you finally reach home, you decide to have a you day, so you get on your most comfortable pajamas and lay in bed, ready to binge watch any new show on netflix.
the loud ringing of your phone wakes you up, the sun has hidden and the clock on your bedside table marks 7pm, you had fallen asleep after the second episode, completely exhausted after preparing none stop for the meeting of that morning. picking up the phone, is felix, your business partner.
“felix”, your voice comes out broken, so you clear your throat as you listen to him ramble.
“something happened, something really really bad happened”, you can hear the nervousness in his tone, sending off all your alarms, sitting up straight you ask him to go on, “there’s been a problem with the deal we made today and we need to clear it up before kim signs it”
“but seungmin already signed it”, you reply in confusion.
“no, not seungmin, his father”, oh, THE kim. you remember how much hyunjin would talk about how intimidating his best friend’s dad was, that’s why they used to spend the afternoons after school back at yours and not seungmin’s big ass house, “y/n, are you listening?”, you hum in acknowledgment as felix continues, “seungmin is flying to jeju island to visit his dad tonight and you need to go with him”, now you’re completely awake, fly to jeju? with seungmin?
and that’s how you end up in a vip cabine on first class next to the young ceo. the flight was quiet, honestly seungmin didn't seem too happy to have you accompanying him which only made the whole situation more awkward, you had tried to make small conversation with him back in the car on your way to the airport only to be shushed, so you had decided to mind your business for as long as the trip lasted and prayed to not have to be glued to seungmin for the rest of it.
at the jeju airport you walk behind him, trying to keep up with his fast pace, which proves to be hard as you try to keep your bag from crushing you. turning around as he hears you huff for the hundredth time, seungmin takes the bag from you and takes you by the arm so you walk next to him. the simple act making your heart race, his mood swings scares you more than the prospect of meeting his dad.
and of course as life has proved to hate you a lot of times before, today couldn't be any different. when you arrive at the hotel it turns out only one bedroom with a king sized bed had been booked instead of two and, of course, the hotel was full, so the inevitable was happening: seungmin and you would have to share a bed. (cliché, i know)
the bed seems big enough for the both of you and maybe the fort of pillows that would divide it, you’ve been thinking about. putting his and yours bags down seungmin excuses himself as he goes to take a shower, when the door closes you let out a deep sigh.
sitting on the edge of the big bed you wait for him to get out so you can take a shower too. when he comes out, he’s only wearing a pair of pajama pants, chest and back exposed to the cold temperature of the room, your cheeks heat up as he caught you staring, an eyebrow raised. taking your things you make a bee line to the bathroom as fast as you can, and you can hear a loud chuckle before closing the door.
inside the water is hot enough to burn but you don't mind it, after such an stressful day, the least you deserve is hot water. all your mind can think of is seungmin and how handsome he is. his body is not big but is build enough, perfect for cuddling. you recall all the times you used to think about him when you were in high school, how you would lower the music in your room just so you could hear him speak when he’d spend the day at your house, it’s been a long time since then, but your feeling don’t seem to have changed. when you’re done you put on your pajamas and go back into the room.
seungmin is laying on the bed, phone in his hand, he raises his eyes to look at you as you go and lay on the other side. getting under the covers immediately you wish him a good night and do your best to fall asleep and after a moment, you feel him turn off the phone and fo the same.
seungmin is having a hard time falling asleep next to you, his mind going places it shouldn't, fulling his head of images of you. you’re so close his nose can catch your scent making him feel frustrated at being so close but so far away. his eyes are heavy, he’s exhausted. you feel him turn for the nth time, so much movement waking you up every time you're about to fall asleep.
“are you ok?”, your voice is a whisper but seungmin can hear you. you turn around to face him. he’s too close, why is he so close?, his eyes barely open and he sees your pretty face, the same he’s been dreaming of for years, making his heart constrict, the same feeling that hasn't disappeared from his chest since he saw you that morning. and without thinking he let’s his heart decide for once. leaning in he gives your lips a peck.
"seungmin, what are you doing?”, without responding he leans in again, but this time he kisses you, a hand on your cheek as his lips touch yours, the kiss is soft and you can barely feel it, so you move closer to him, your hand on his white shirt, his heart beating impossibly fast against your palm and you deepen the kiss.
your lips move slowly till you can’t feel him move anymore. parting away you find him asleep, eyes delicately closed, his hand still on your face, so you turn around to go back to your place only to have him press you against his chest, his arms around your waist and his face hidden on your neck.
“please, stay”, you can barely hear him but the words still make your heart jump to your throat. you whisper back an ‘okay’, barely audible and fall asleep on his arms.
in the morning, seungmin wakes up mortified. having you in his arms feels so good, his heart beating fast against his chest and his cheeks red and hot. when you turn around still on his hold, you find him looking at you, pupils quivering waiting for you to say something, instead you just smile and kiss his lips again. seungmin’s eyes close automatically, his arms tightening around you and you separate enough to talk, “are you gonna fall asleep on me again?”
his laugh fills the hotel room making you smile even brighter and he shakes his head, leaning in for another kiss. and you spend the morning like that, only stopping when your phone rings. it’s felix, you’re gonna be late for today’s meeting, again.

A Recorded Life (32/50) - Miraculous Ladybug
Words: 1758 Chapter Summary: A few days after the release with Jagged Stone, many things have gone back to normal. Well, kind of. Adrien and Marinette have been having a lot more sleepovers and movie/game nights, but they're just friends, right? Hawkmoth says time for another akuma! Author's Note: i have a love/hate relationship with this one. I really wanted to write another akuma battle but it was really hard for some reason, but I like everything else about the chapter. Also, I want to see Marinette and Adrien play Mario Kart.

Alya, Nino, and Chloé were ecstatic. On Friday, Master Fu had left Miraculous boxes in their rooms for them. Clearly, he agreed it would be beneficial to have the extra backup against Hawkmoth and his newfound persuasiveness. Marinette knew it was hard for Master Fu to let other Kwamis out in the world, but it would really give Marinette and Adrien a hand.
And they had been helping out! Hawkmoth akumatized a kid over the weekend, and it was the perfect chance to give Rena Rouge, Carapace, and Queen Bee a chance to get back out there. It's safe to say Hawkmoth wasn't expecting it, and he was probably going to up his game with there being more Miraculous holders against him. The team needed to be prepared.
After a week, Adrien and Marinette have been having as many sleepovers as they can get. Adrien keeps telling his father and Nathalie he has projects with her, and he kept calling or texting to say he was staying the night, it was safer than waiting around for a ride home. For some reason, Nathalie didn't argue it.
"They asked me if I know who Rena Rouge and Carapce are," Adrien said as they raced in Mario Kart.
"What did you say?" Marinette asked. "Ha! Blue shell coming for you!" She cheered.
Adrien groaned when he dropped into fifth place. "I told them I had no clue. They and Chloé just showed up the other day, and we've been making do."
"Good idea," Marinette nodded. "We don't need anyone knowing their identities, us and Chloé are enough," She sighed. "Yes!" She jumped up as the screen showed he crossing the finish line in first place. "Told you I play too much Mario Kart."
With a defeated nod, Adrien laughed as Marinette went on to select the next course. "They also kind of mentioned they don't like how much I've been over here? They think it's weird."
"Well, are you going to stop?" Marinette turned her head to look at him.
"No way, I have to beat you at Mario Kart eventually!" He pushed her shoulder. "I told them I was at Nino's helping him catch up on school work."
Marinette chuckled when she selected Rainbow Road. "And they believed it because they don't like Nino and probably think he isn't good at school."
"Naturally," Adrien said. "God, I'm gonna fall off this map like seventeen times in the first lap. Why, Mari?"
Just as Adrien said that, he drove right off the course. He also drove off the course when he heard a crash. "What a shame! An Akuma attack!" Adrien called out. "Guess we can't finish the race."
Marinette rolled her eyes. "We'll be playing later," She said as the turned off the TV and stood up.
"Tikki."
"Plagg."
The two transformed into their superhero selves and saw a flash of light come from a few blocks away. Ladybug opened her yo-yo to call the others, but Rena Rouge and Carapace were already running towards her and Chat Noir, and Queen Bee was coming from behind. "Good, we all heard the crash," Ladybug announced and tucked her yo-yo back onto her waist. "Has anyone seen anything?"
"Not yet," Rena Rouge responded. "Just heard the Akuma come from that way," She pointed behind her. "And Carapace and I figured this is where we would find you."
Queen Bee furrowed her eyebrows. "What? No, the Akuma came from that way," She pointed in the opposite direction.
Ladybug and Chat Noir looked at each other. "Don't tell me there's two," Chat Noir said. "That's not...normal?" He sighed.
"Okay, I guess we have to split up. Carapace, you come with me. The three of you head towards the one Rena Rouge heard," She directed to the group. "Everyone, stay safe."
Ladybug and Carapace took off in the opposite direction. "Two akumas? Has he done that before?" Carapace asked Ladybug.
"Not to start with. We've had it where they can duplicate, but that doesn't normally happen until after a little while," She replied. "I'm not even sure if they're the same Akuma, or two different people."
Ladybug held her yo-yo up to her ear. "Chat, you guys see anything?" She asked.
"Yeah, over by the school. You?" He replied.
"Not yet," Just as she said that, there was a crash right around the corner. "Now we do."
Chat Noir grunted as he jumped out of the way. "All this Akuma has done is throw cars at us and grunt. He hasn't said anything."
"We're just encountering ours. Stay safe," She said and put the yo-yo back on her waist. She nodded to Carapace, and at the same time they began running towards the Akuma. It looked like Stoneheart, but three times his size and a lot more violent. Stoneheart was years ago, why did Hawkmoth decide to create this one now?
Carapace laughed. "The old man must be running out of ideas," He said.
"Maybe we can beat him the same way we did years ago," Ladybug thought out loud. Just as she was about to call her lucky charm, Carapace yelled and grabbed her arm.
"Shell-ter!" He screamed, and a shield popped up around them. "What the hell is happening?" He asked as they stared at the Akuma.
The Akuma seemed to pixelate, and was shrinking down. The Akuma was now a copy of The Puppeteer, but again, three times the original size. "Manon?" Ladybug called out. She looked so different, but that was what she looked like when she was Akumatized.
"I am not Manon!" The Akuma yelled. "I am Copy. And you will give me your Miraculous!" The Akuma demanded. Though they looked like the Puppeteer, they sounded nothing like Manon. The voice was distorted, switching from really deep to really high, and everything in between.
"Well, this should be...interesting," Ladybug signed and called Chat Noir on her yo-yo. "You figure out what your Akuma can do?"
Chat Noir was breathing heavily. "Oh yeah," He said as he was running. "Yours changing from Akuma to Akuma, too?"
"Yep. Twins, maybe?"
"That, or one is a fake," Chat Noir replied.
"I doubt it," Ladybug said. "He wouldn't want to risk not getting a Miraculous."
With a groan, Chat Noir hung up his baton. "What's she been saying?" Ladybug asked Carapace.
Carapace shrugged. "I think they're trying to persuade you again."
"I won't let that happen. I've got too many other things to worry about and won't be persuaded," Ladybug determined.
"And if it takes over, you now I got your back, dude," Carapace promised.
Ladybug smiled and nodded. "Okay, I have a plan."
As Ladybug explained the plan quickly and quietly to Carapace, Copy was shifting into any Akuma that could break through the forcefield. Nothing was working, but it sure was distracting.
As Copy retreated back to switch Akumas again, the forcefield dropped to start the plan.
"Ah, I see you're finally deciding to join me," Copy, now Silencer with a twist, pointed out. They changed again, now as Lady Wifi, holding up the phone and ready to strike.
Copy started throwing the pause buttons at Ladybug and Carapace, both of them dodging flawlessly. Copy was clearly getting frustrated. "Come on, Marinette," Copy sing-songed. "Where's Adrien? Aren't you worried that since you guys are separated, he could be hurt?" Copy asked. "If you give me your Miraculous, you could go save him now."
Ladybug stopped moving and stared at Copy. "Ladybug! Don't!" Carapace yelled as he stood next to her.
She burst out laughing. "You think I'd fall for that again?" She directed at Copy. "No way! I know the rest of my team is safe, and they're just as strong. Hawkmoth really needs to learn some new tricks."
"Come on," Copy egged on. "Listen to me, your best friend," They continued. "Go ahead and hand it over."
Ladybug didn't move again, but saw Carapace sneak away while Copy was focused on Ladybug. She was staring at Copy, while Copy was slowly getting closer.
Marinette didn't realize how long the back and forth lasted, but it was a while. She continued to lead Copy to believe she almost was going to give up her earrings, but at the last second would back out. She couldn't imagine how annoyed Hawkmoth was, but she knew he wouldn't give up.
Finally, after Copy was almost going to give up, Carapace threw his shield from behind and hit Copy in the head. Copy fell forward, and at the perfect time, Carapace yelled, "Shell-ter!" And captured Ladybug and Copy into a green forcefield.
Copy was nearly losing consciousness, which seemed to make it hard to focus on being Lady Wifi. Copy pixelated again, turning back into what Ladybug guessed was what Copy really looked like. She picked up the piece of paper in Copy's hand.
"Oops," She said when she ripped it in half, and the Akuma flew out. "Well, isn't that lucky! No more evildoing for you, little Akuma."
Ladybug captured the Akuma, and Carapace dropped the forcefield. They high-fived each other, and ran as fast as they could to find the other three heroes and capture the other Akuma. Just as Ladybug and Carapace arrived, they saw their Akuma pixelating just like the other one, and Rena Rouge snapped the paper out of Copy's hand. "Gotcha!" Ladybug yelled as she landed in front of Copy and the other heroes.
"Talk about perfect timing," Rena Rouge said as the purified Akuma flew away.
"Where's Chat?" Ladybug asked, looking around.
Rena Rouge pointed to a building a few rooftops away. "He got hit and went to go recharge, but Queen Bee and I handled the rest of Copy. Speaking of, we should help them get home."
Ladybug nodded. "Yeah, of course. You and Carapace can take care of that, right?" She asked.
"Yeah, it's no problem," Rena Rouge said and started to walk towards her respectful twin.
Ladybug took off toward the rooftop Chat Nour was on. "Adrien, are you okay?" She said when she saw Chat Noir laying on the roof.
Chat Noir started to sit up. "Yeah, I'm good. Just a little hit."
Grabbing his hands, she helped Chat Noir stand up. "You had me worried," Ladybug said as she pulled him into a hug.
When they released, Chat Noir and Ladybug- no, Adrien and Marinette, were staring at each other. With very little thought, they looked at each other, and leaned in to share a kiss.

- K. S. Perspective
Things were going exactly how I expected them to. The first years were dumbfounded by Seijoh's sudden power over them, causing them to stress and yell at each other. But we didn't fear, for Daichi knew how to shut them up. Tadashi and Y/n would let out a squeak every few seconds something exhilarating would occur on the court, scared by the tension between both teams. It was surprising that Y/n had become so friendly with the first years. I'd thought of them as weird the first time I met them.
We had just won the first set, and we were about to win the second as well. It came as a surprise to Takeda what Hinata could do with his jumping skills, therefore I had to do some explaining. But overall, the game was going well.
"Wow, Kageyama is way better than Seijoh's setter," Ennoshita commented as he handed a yellow water bottle to Tanaka, who wiped his forehead with a towel.
"Yeah, and it makes up for the fact that our receives could use some work." Daichi comments, walking towards where most of the players huddled. "You know, we might win this practice game."
Suddenly, Y/n hands him a water bottle, popping into the conversation. "Be careful there, Captain. I wouldn't get too comfortable. That setter there isn't their official."
As if on queue, girls' screams are heard from above in the bleachers. I glance towards the entrance doors: where all of them were looking. There stood a tall brunette guy, waving hello at his fangirls.
At first, all I wondered was how he would change the outcome of the game. But then when I glanced towards Y/n, who was hiding safely behind Kiyoko with wide eyes, I grew curious as to what his intentions were.
"Ah! Oikawa, finally you're here. How's that leg doing?" The coach yells out to him as our team regains their focus on talking to each other. I kept my eyes safely on him, observing his motion.
He held up an 'OK' with his long fingers, grinning at his coach. "Never been better!" His cheerful tone says.
"You should have been here earlier. They brought Kageyama as you asked them to. It's embarrassing for our setter not to show up," The coach scolded. I look towards Tobio, who's making an ugly face at Oikawa.
"Look, I don't know if it's because he has all the girls, but I already hate this guy." Tanaka leaned over my shoulder with his wicked stench.
"Their team captain, huh?" I cross my arms in annoyance, grinding my teeth.
Kageyama nods at me, saying, "yeah, his name is Toru Oikawa. And he's a super offensive setter." Kageyama explained. "Top of his class in attacking and team-play, too. And his attitude is shameful."
"What? Really? Is it worse than yours?" Hinata asks in a surprised tone, Kageyama groaning.
"Worse than four eyes." He responded while Tsukki growled at the conversation.
"Since you know him I'm guessing he went to Kitagawa First as well, right?" Tanaka mentions, wrapping his fingers with bandages. "That must mean Y/n knows him! You think you could give us some advice?"
Y/n froze in her place, wide-eyed and flustered. "Uhm...yes. But we're not close or anything. H-honestly I don't know much about him."
"Doesn't look like it," Daichi quickly taps her shoulder then points to Oikawa who's staring at her with the same expression she made when he walked in. "He's staring right at you."
Something was going on between Oikawa and Y/n, and I was sure I'd get to the bottom of it by tonight.
- Y.L. Perspective
'Great, what a hassle.' I tell myself as Toru and I stare at each other. I wanted nothing but to evaporate into thin air, pretending I was never there. But I knew I couldn't. So, I brush it off as if I wasn't having a heart attack internally, facing my team while they conversed about Oikawa himself.
-
The scoreboard was now 14-15. As nervous as I felt around Oikawa, I was enjoying the game. The determination that each player showed reminded me of how my band and I would act when we were younger and wanted to learn new chords or songs: convinced they could do the best.
And it didn't seem like Oikawa's reputation had changed. Many—many—people had come to watch him play today. I only hoped that my being here wouldn't determine the game overall. A couple more points and our team would be the one to win.
Oikawa is quickly called into the setter position on the court, ready to show off his skills to our team. With mighty power, he threw a power serve to the blocker, Tsukishima, who let the ball ricochet off his hands and into the bleachers above him.
Everybody stood shocked at his serve, glancing at each other with wide eyes. Daichi wove his hand in the air to tell the players to simply brush it off.
"Now I get it. Number 6, and number 5. You two must be first years, your receives are horrible," Oikawa comments from the other side of the net, drawing everybody's attention.
'Looks like you've matured in play style, Oikawa. You're able to land the ball wherever you'd like and trash talk about it after. Same petty boy I remember.'
Every serve Oikawa threw at our players was followed by another point to Seihjo's team. I could do nothing but watch as the boys grew angrier at him and wince at every serve.
Eventually, Hinata became fed up with Oikawa's shitty attitude, yelling "Hey, Great King! Why don't you aim the ball for me instead?! Or are you too scared?!" The team groans at his stupidity to blabber something at him.
"This is embarrassing." Daichi groaned. "Okay, let's fall back as a group. Tsukishima, you stay close to the sideline." Tsukki nods at him, everyone getting into their assigned positions.
"Now, bring it!"
-
"All together!" Daichi called out before the line of players bowed towards the opposite team.
"Thank you for the game!"
After a long and exhausting practice game, we all made out way out of the gym and back to Takeda's van. Everybody felt groggy and icky but pleased with the practice they had gotten from today.
Hinata skipped in front of the groggy players, saying, "That was so nerve recking, but I had so much fun! What did you guys think?!"
"Fun."
"Practice."
"Nice."
Many boring replies are heard from the team, upsetting Hinata. "Nice?! That's all you guys have to say? What did you think, (Y/n)?" He suddenly called out to me, many players looking my way for a response.
"Uhm, yeah. I thought that was pretty fun, way better than sitting at home all afternoon." I rub the back of my neck, uncomfortable by the eyes laid on me.
"Yeah! I thought so too!" He exclaimed and continued skipping. Despite the awkward situations I faced, today was nice and eventful. Happiness rested in my heart, prideful that I had gotten myself out of my comfort zone to do something a part of school.
"You know, to be blunt, we're lacking something vital to play and actually win a real game against the Seijoh team with Oikawa on it," Daichi explains to us before we're stopped at the gate by the one and only.
"Ooh, spoken like a captain," Toru says, smirking at himself while he leaned on the brick wall. I quickly squeezed in between Kiyoko and Ennoshita, hiding from him.
Tanaka scoffs at his oversized ego, taking a few steps towards the brunette as a threat. "What's with you? Looks like you wanna pick a fight!"
"Yeah, what's you're problem~" Hinata crept up from behind him to back his upperclassman up against a strong opponent.
Oikawa doesn't seem to be at all scared by the two of them. "No need to get yourselves worked up! But hey, short stuff," he focuses on Hinata. "That last one-touch and broad jump was pretty ace!"
"R-really," He stood in disbelief from what the guy commented on his volleyball skills. I wouldn't blame him if he felt flattered by his message.
"Yeah! But you know, next time try using full force from the start. You haven't seen our real setup. But don't worry, we'll be practicing serves till then."
'He's right, next time we'll be dealing with his serves the entire game.'
"That combination attack is pretty amazing, but you're gonna run out of steam at some point. You're gonna need better receives. After all, I'm not the only one who does power serves. The inter-highs are coming up and I want you to make the cut. So listen carefully." He points at Kageyama in a dramatic form. "My special protégé, I wanna crush you fair and square at an official game where we both play the setter."
"Well then, we can train to receive!" Hinata said, grabbing onto Tsukishima, who slapped his hand away. 'Wouldnt that mean Koushi won't be able to play? How much is he gonna control on our side without thinking of Sugawara?'
Just as Oikawa began to walk away, he sharply turns, staring at Hinata right in the eye. "Just so you know, receives aren't something you can master overnight. I'm sure your captain can attest to that."
I glance over to the mentioned, observing his angry expression. If he were a cartoon, steam would be flossing out from his ears.
"The tournament is coming up. I look forward to seeing all of your improvement." Oikawa speaks once more in his playful tone,
"Oh, and Y/n, I'll see you around." And with one last smirk, he leaves us all in a crowd of anger.
"Look, don't let him get to you. Agitating others is like a hobby to him." Kageyama told Daichi. But to his surprise, he grinned in eagerness.
"Hah, he's right. There isn't much time until the Inter-high tournament. But luckily, we have someone coming back soon." Tanaka clapped his hands together, leading us all to continue our walk to the bus. "Karasunos Guardian."
-
After a long car ride full of sound asleep teenagers and bumps along the road, we had finally come to a stop at Karasuno high where all of us ran towards the locker rooms to get home as soon as possible. I waited for Sugawara to be done changing in the girl's room where Kiyoko and I hung.
"So, what was with that Oikawa guy? It was so obvious you two have history. Especially after he called you out like that after the game," Kiyoko says, pulling her leggings up to her waist. She continued to get dressed while I sat on a bench with my things packed up.
I shrug, too tired to respond fully. "Honestly, I'd rather not even say anything until I discuss it with him. Let's just say he started some drama a few months back. It began this whole fight between a few of my best friends and ruined my relationship with him."
"And that relationship was..?"
"Just friends. But he wanted more, that's what caused everything." I groan, feeling agony in my feet. The number of times I stood up in excitement during the game was painful. I look to Kiyoko who is fully dressed and ready for take-off.
She closed her locker and walked towards me to ruffle my hair. "Careful! You'll make a mess of it.." I quickly pat down my hair.
The two of us leave the building and head towards the gym where the rest of the team said their goodbyes to each other, each of them slowly pulling away in groups to walk home.
As Kiyoko bid me farewell, Sugawara crept up behind me, tapping my shoulder lightly. I quickly turn to face him in pleasure that he had arrived at my side. But I hasn't expected for him to seem so worried. "Hey, can we talk?"
