Sky does not wield Wars’ sword like… ever. Time does, because Wars recognizes him as the most powerful. Sky both respects Wars’ agency enough to not take his sword without his consent and also wants to avoid Time at all costs. But this is still a fun idea haha!

Okay, so basically two months after the events of the movie, Atta becomes overworked and stressed as Queen, making her relationship with Flik rocky and almost a hassle to keep due to not being able too fill each other’s needs, which soon leads them breaking up. This hits Flik pretty hard, causing him to leave the island to stay with the circus bugs to distract himself. Which he soon meets my bugsona, Polly, a traveling bee artist who had worked for the circus a few times here and there. She’s very closed off and quiet, which caused Flik to avoid her at first. When working on a backdrop for P.T. one day, Polly officially meets Flik who accidentally messes up her work, causing the bee to panic before the ant fixed it just as fast. Taken back by how quick the ant was on his feet, Polly starts up a conversation with him, pulling Flik out of his funk while also making her open up more much to the circus bugs’ surprise. The two quickly bond over their creative natures, spending more time together until one day Flik tells her why he left Ant Island to forget his breakup, causing Polly to reveal that she left her own colony from being a worker bee to become an artist who’s now on the run from a tyrant queen bee who’s trying to get her back under her thumb.

Time passed differently when you were held in a cell for some of your life. Sometimes it was slow, then fast other times. For normal regular folk who lived in the city, thing were normal, apart from the usual living costs, housing issues, so on. However, for certain hybrids, like a certain blond, life was hell. Eden very much favoured the rich, but it held hatred towards the hybrids.

This was something Lucas was quick to discover. He had seen what they were capable of doing before his own eyes, going as far as to burning down his old village, leaving him the only survivor of an extinct peaceful village. From the age of seven, Lucas had witnessed how evil Eden could be. They had murdered his entire family, his friends, everything he had ever loved. All because he was a dragonic hybrid.

Honestly, he couldn't wait to get out of this hellhole. The teenager wanted to run away as far as he could, never look back at this horrible city, or its people. So, when the alarms beeped loudly, with the cell doors suddenly opening, Lucas blinks, but he takes the chance, not risking a single moment to leave an opportunity of escaping to a safer haven.

Leaving the cells area, the boy is quick to hear loud shouting, with many heavy footsteps, the sounds of the sirens continuing their tune. No, something was up. Eden never had their security down. Not like this.

Something was up. Had he fallen into a trap? Well, either way, it was Eden's big mistake to release him. Now, they were going to see what a dragon can do. But first, to stay hidden, watch the guards, see where they were going.

This was Lucas' only chance. Fail this chance, and it's gone.

Like mother like daughter.

The last thing Emma remembered was feeling dizzy before she collapsed as the result of what she could only assume was another curse. Though it did seem to be a bit cliche to have her fall under the kind of curse that would require someone to kiss her to wake her up.

Not just any one though. True love. True love was needed to wake someone up from a sleeping curse. That was the thought that crossed her mind as she slowly opened her eyes to see Killian above her.

He lies crumpled in a curled position. As if he’d just had enough cognisant thought before unconsciousness took him to not land on his mask and risk breaking the plexi-glass. His knees brought up to his chest, and his arms tucked up next to his head, Neytiri has a passing thought for how small he is, and how unnatural it is to see him so still. 

She bends her knees and crouches, peering at the boy with some curiosity. Reaching to ascertain the reason for his current state, she places the other hand on the ground to keep herself balanced, the clatter of wood as she drops her bow loud within the silence.

Her fingers get barely an inch within touching distance of his head, and suddenly Spider flinches. So badly, that Neytiri snatches her arm back, her brow puckering in some slight sort of worry, waiting for the child to awaken.  

But then he whines quietly, possibly from pain or discomfort, and his limbs work to relax again. His eyes don’t flutter, his breathing doesn’t change, and Neytiri moves forward to try again. 

Distantly, she feels the coarseness of his hair against her skin, but doesn’t notice any pressure of her fingers against his skull. Or the heat of it, it’s too faint to make out. 

She doesn’t fight against the sense of floating that’s overtaken her, just watches with mild interest as her hand parts his dreads, and reveals a nasty gash on the side of his head. It seeps blood, which trails down his neck and chest, but she knows from her training that head wounds look worse than they actually are.

1. Forever and Ever [T - 9,006 words]

Twojamie

Summary: Time Lords have a poor understanding of human memories and they fail to wipe Jamie’s completely. He’s sent back down to 18th century Scotland, his head filled with memories he doesn’t want.

Or: the unfortunate downfall of Jamie’s marriage as he remembers the Doctor and how they learn to make it work.

Why: this fic means so much to me, I can’t even put it into words. Writing this felt like healing in a way, through my discovery of QPRs and what they can mean to each individual person. This was such a beautiful exploration into Jamie’s relationship with his wife after returning home without his memories and how remembering the Doctor seemingly ruined his life and then made it so much better. It means the world to me that I wrote something that means so much to others (again, not to toot my own horn but the comments I received made me tear up a little) but also that I wrote something that means so much to me personally.

2. Love, Your Sailor [T; 11,443 words]

Summary: Mortuary Science student, Mort, falls fast for Navy sailor, Teddy, in town for a week of leave.

Day nine of flufftober 2023: …at first sight (plus bonus scenario: have your characters share the last table at a cafe)

Why: no idea, but the idea is just soooo cute! I wrote this for flufftober last year and it is something I’d like to someday go back and expand on. However, despite it being something I wrote for a prompt-fest, it really stuck with me and I think about it often.

3. Forever Is An Awfully Long Time [T; 7,925 words]

Summary: The Doctor celebrates a lifetime of Jamie’s birthdays aboard the Tardis.

Why: honestly, I reference the events in this fic so damn much in my other fics and it feels like a good basis for a lot of my headcanons for their relationship. I wrote this as a 30th birthday gift to myself and it just makes me so happy rereading it.

4. Can’t Have One Without The Other [E; 57,861] (wip)

Summary: After Teddy is left at the altar by Kathleen on what was supposed to be their wedding day, Teddy invites Mort on his non-refundable all-inclusive romantic honeymoon getaway.

Why: I’m ridiculously proud of this one. It’s the longest fic I’ve ever written and posted and though it isn’t complete it makes me really happy that I wrote it. I will be finishing it someday, but it’s still on hold.

5. In Your Coat [G; 6,306 words]

Summary: Jamie likes to wear the Doctor’s coat

Why: This fic is so much more than meets the eye. I’ve recently went back and reread this and found that the summary I’ve given it does it zero justice! It’s not just Jamie wearing the Doctor’s coat. It’s the progression of their relationship, his coat the center of some big feelings Jamie cannot name, as they realize love is a word but the feeling goes so much deeper.
