I really love last line c!slime says to c!quackity.

What a poetic line. Slime never saw the monster quackity wished he could be. Instead he is a broken and flawed man, who made a lot of bad decisions. But none of that took away his humanity. A complicated mess, but so intrinsically human.

niki and quackity both are characters who have felt extremely powerless and unseen. they have nothing, or their lives are controlled by outside sources- they are shells and pawns unwillingly used and mistreated in a game much larger than them. in manberg niki sees through quackity, and quackity sees through her. they both want escape and to feel stability again; but they don’t get that. it only gets worse until it all collapses in and they have a first row seat to see it, feeling alone and isolated.

quackity copes with this by building. he tries to claim back power in any way he can- resigning from the cabinet and eventually returning with a plan of betrayal, taking office after schlatt dies, attempting to break the laws of nature and death just in the name of taking political power. when things go wrong he turns to the rubble and tries to build it up how he thinks is best. He moves on, he starts over, time and time again. He doesn’t slow down to process. he doesn’t give himself time to think over what has happened to him. he craves and searchs for power and eventually builds up his own empire.

niki also copes with this by building. she isolates and tasks herself with building a place for people to be safe- something she never got to have, and something she wanted to provide for others. it’s a distraction, an attempt to do good while she avoids what’s happened to and arround her. the isolation takes its toll and backfires, her own mental struggle and the weight of what she’s witnessed settles on her. niki resolves herself to not knowing why she continues to live. she builds her own tomb, a city once made to shelter one that now constricts her slowly. niki festers in her feelings, in opposite to quackitys running from them. she’s an open wound that she doesn’t let heal over, she feels her loneliness, she feels her rage, she feels the despair. she sinks her feet in and builds the world around her to be as bleak and isolated as she feels.

they both shelter from their past. they isolate and shut others out, especially those they love. they lash out and hurt those they love as a result of their own closed off emotional state and unresolved trauma.. but they start to heal in the same way, too. they open up and let others in. they share the burden they’ve carried solely on their shoulders with someone else and after so long they let themselves take a step back and breathe.

they both get an ending that isn’t hopeless. they get a chance to be happy.

so HERE YOU GO i guess, i almost never write fanfiction and the last vegebul fic i wrote was a decade ago but i've been rewatching dbz so here's some immediately post-buu bullshit i'm working on

There were so many things that Vegeta could dream, but what he dreams of is this: Darkness. The taste of dirt in his mouth. The weight crushing around him. In his dreams, Goku buries him deeper. The piles of earth on top of his corpse are endless. In his dreams, Goku buries him so deep that Vegeta can't remember air or light or freedom. He can't remember his name. He can't remember his being. Goku buries him so deep he'll never get out. Vegeta buries him so deep he'll never get out. In the minutes after he wakes, somewhere safe and comfortable, he remembers the dirt. He remembers the true memory of it: a moment's confusion, maybe a brief instinct of fear, but no struggle. He freed himself easily. He awoke easily. It is forgotten in his waking moments, inconsequential. It's only in his nightmares that it recurs.

So based on dream's deleted tweet about exile. Is that the Canon reason why he wanted ctommys trust and why he did exile or was it retconned

I'll do my best to answer that! Yes, cc!Dream saying that c!Dream "wanted c!Tommy to feel so isolated that he eventually viewed c!Dream as his only friend, and would help c!Dream’s goals" does appear to be the main reason for c!Dream's behavior during exile, something that is also supported by what is shown in canon.

It is commonly assumed that one of c!Dream's goals at the time is to obtain the disc that c!Tommy gave to c!Tubbo. c!Dream mentions during the exile negotiations [link] that he would be fine with c!Tubbo not exiling c!Tommy as long as c!Tubbo gives him the disc. During exile, c!Dream tries to get both c!Tommy and c!Tubbo to think he's their friend (he also says that he did this during the staged finale [link]).

When c!Tommy starts living with c!Techno, c!Dream eventually completely switches to only convincing c!Tubbo to give him the disc during the Green Festival [link]. After getting the disc, he abandons his former cordial attitude and switches to his "evil" persona, signaling that a goal has been achieved.

So in short, yes, cc!Dream's tweet about exile supports what's shown in canon and there's no reason to believe anything regarding that has been retconned. There are probably some more extensive explanations somewhere but I hope this makes sense!

After reading your post on c! Foolish just feeling his powers but not entirely knowing what they were made me think. With his lightning powers, what if his powers were less specifically revival, but more of a defibrillator shocking the heart to life again (mainly joking lol)

I actually hypothesised about totems being "the equivalent of a magical defibrillator" in this post but putting foolishs lightning powers into the mix makes it even more interesting

What if his lighting wasn't a power gained from godhood but a trait from his totem biology? Only turned up to the max considering him being much more powerful as well as larger than the average inanimate totem. Think of the particles when a totem pops, what if that wasn't just excess unknown magic escaping the totem upon cracking but instead SPARKS.

Id like to think there's some level of magic involved but it being connected to electricity grounds it far more in reality and could also explain why totems only work upon death. Totems of undying cannot revive the dead but within a short window of time can bring someone back before their body and mind fully shuts down, just like how you can jumpstart someone's heart. Doing a little more research apparently pulses of energy can be used to stimulate cells to generate new bone tissue and connective tissue encouraging the body's healing process, though this is obviously on a absurdly smaller scale for joint pain and such the concept could still be applied to this fantasy magic lore.

am i allowed to be a hater on anon n say that i hate bird hybrid grian ? i prolly would like it a bit better if ppl drew him as different bird species (such as literally any bird thats actually from grians home country) but noooo ppl are still drawing him as a fuckass scarlet macaw WHICH ISNT EVEN A COOL TROPICAL BIRD BTW !!! n alot of the time it legit just looks like ppl are slapping those fake wings u would strap onto ur back onto him, the wings do NOT look like theyre even a part of grian
