Synopsis

Once upon a time...

There were two friends, and together they travelled the cosmos. They thwarted tyrants and defeated monsters, they righted wrongs wherever they went. They explored the distant future and the distant past, new worlds and galaxies, places beyond imagining.

But every good story has to come to an end.

With no times or places left to explore, all the two friends have now are each other. But maybe that's one voyage too many. Maybe they'll discover things they'd rather have left undisturbed... hidden away in the suffocating, unfeeling, deafening brightness.

Really creative concept. Puts 8 and Charley into a situation where they have to confront their relationship and what they mean to each other while dealing with an incredibly engaging creature. Synopsis

The Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble go to the leisure planet of Midnight for a simple, relaxing holiday. However, life with the Doctor can never be that simple, and things go horribly wrong for the Doctor when he decides to go off on a bus trip to see the Sapphire Waterfall, starting with the bus shutting down. When a mysterious entity infiltrates the shuttle bus, no one is to be trusted. Not even the Doctor himself...

Midnight is amazing. So thrilling. The monster was human fear and it cost the life of two innocent women. (plus two men on accident, well, more or less) And we never know what the midnight entity was. Perfect. My absolute favourite episode. The best thing is that it tricks you into liking the passengers before it slowly, slowly turns that into horror of what they're capable of. Chills every time. (Plus it's totally what inspired among us if you ask me) (anonymous)

I'm still working on Aziraphale, and I'm at a point where I feel I'm excited to share the results. It's not finished yet, but we're on the home stretch peeps! Eeee!

Art Journey Today...

Morning writing sprints with Mister Sheen staring at me… The pressure is on to finish him, but first, writing for my passion project comes first. Priorities!

After some color blocking on the costume, and lots of blending... so much blending by trial and error, I started to feel more confident. It was time for story time on Twitter... ahem. -cough!- -cough!-

"I need a break and a walk. My butt is falling asleep! 😆 That reminds me, my kiddo said to me this morning, as I was lying next to her in bed, "Boobs look like a bums." The things kids say. I can't get it out of my head now! 🤣 Anyway, little by little, I get closer to finish." <--- I ran out of characters...

Also, I never said that I was a sane artist!

I was really proud of the details coming to life. The buttons in particular were starting to take shape. I could feel an evil laugh start to brew inside me at this point.

I did some adjustments to the face. It looks more and more like Mr. Sheen! I'm really proud of the work I did today. Even if I don't finish, I'm at a point in my art journey where I enjoy the work. Like Dr. Frankenstein, I do a lot of evil laughing as my portraits come to life.

Anywho, I've been absolutely loving this journey, this week. I might only get Aziraphale done, but for the sake of my mental health, I've been taking it slower. When you work alone, it's very easy to get inside your own head. This week, I've been taking advantage of Twitch Productivity Streamers. Working in sprints definitely helps, and chatting with people who are in the same creative mindset as you is very encouraging.

I'm still going to do all of Crowley's and Aziraphale's looks, but it just means, I'm going to have to extend my deadline. Every month I do a different episode, but episode 3 turned out to be so much more work than I anticipated. Not only that, I have started to spend more time on my portraits. It's all a part of learning. I guess, I'm evolving, and that, in my opinion, is good.

Never be afraid of evolving. Life is a journey to learn about oneself.

There are only two reactions to Tony Award nominations and I’ll die on that hill. I find it funny that in the htdio fan group chat I’m normally the loud and angry person but I’m incredibly chill when it comes to the Tony’s. Meanwhile my normally calm friends fall into the “WHY DIDN’T XYZ SHOW GET NOMINATED, ABC SHOULDN’T HAVE GOTTEN NOMINATED!!!” type.

I actually used to be really opinionated on the Tony’s back in 2018-2019ish but now I’m just happy to celebrate theatre and see the performances. Of course I wish my favorite show this season- How To Dance In Ohio- got nominated, along with shows that opened and closed earlier this season, but everyone who did get nominated doesn’t deserve to be shat upon.

Very proud of everyone, cast, crew, and creatives, who put on excellent shows this season! And may the best show win!
