If we talk about the title, Rupi Kaur equates "milk and honey" with Kindness, as a metaphor of verse "a land flowing with milk and honey" from Bible Exodus 33:3. The writer has meticulously poured out all the emotions into poetry.. It is a collection of poetry and prose about survival of women. According to the book, the life of a woman is so hard & confusing, from childhood to adulthood which is a harsh reality of all the times. It is a very deep poetry with tons of reality and emotions, mixed. Rupi discussed about the love, sufferings, and healings of seemingly her own life. As I leafed through the book, I found stern realities of life, every single page exposed a bitter truth of experiences of a girl who faced hurt, harassment, unrequited love etc and that she can't even open up to anyone about all this.
