Of course when he first met you, he knew all about your stories and how great you were. And at first glance he thought you'd be super intimidating.

But you were the complete opposite.

You were friendly and welcoming, and even brushed off his bad luck when he told you about it. It wasn't because you didn't believe him (well at the time you didn't really think it was that bad) but because you were actually pretty ok with it.

"It can't be that bad" you thought.

You had your own constant bits of misfortune too after all. Almost dying every time, being a wanted criminal in every nation you step into before saving it from the clutches of evil and still have no clues about your sibling. Yeah, life wasn't perfect for you either.

After getting to know Bennett for a bit (and when I say "for a bit" I mean you have like, just two conversations) your body was already launching it's affection without you knowing.

It started with locking your arm around his, surprising him from behind with hugs, (which end up with both of you on the ground most of the time), and once again, forgetting the idea of personal space.

Bennett on the other hand, didn't even notice.

In fact he unknowingly joined in on it too.

He bumped fists with you, put his hand on your shoulder, playfully bumping you by the shoulder or hip with his own shoulder and hip.

And as your friendship progressed, so did the playful touches.

You started nuzzling your head on his shoulders, hugging him from the front, and patting his head.

Bennett didn't exhibit any of these behaviors himself, but he liked it whenever you did.

He didn't notice you were being really touchy with him until someone pointed out how "comfortable" he was with you.

And even when he'd realized it, he didn't stop the way he acted around you.

If you didn't mind his bad luck, the "I guess it's ok" he told himself.

And so you two continued to be the best of buddies!

as your relationship progressed even further, your friendly gestures evolved into seemingly more intimate ones.

You had friendly intentions behind it, but that wasn't how it looked from an outside viewer's perspective.

You started kissing his cheek, always hanging around close to him, and not to mention snuggling close during rain storms and kissing his wounds.

He'd be really dense to it and even thank you for it.

Except the cheek kisses. Those left him confused and thinking "wait.... what just happened?"

During your early days of hanging out and misfortune constantly following him, Bennett can't help but be extremely apologetic and cautious whenever you were around.

But somehow, you always seemed to make it better.

When it started raining out of the blue once, he apologized thinking it might've been all his fault. Profusely saying sorry for "ruining your day"

To which you replied to with "Hm? Oh don't worry about it. I actually like the rain. It was getting really hot lately anyways."

And you did this to every scenario. And every time, it made him feel better.

If lightning starts to draw closer. He'd panic and try to drag you to a place for shelter. But then he saw you gazing at the distance with a smile on your face. The lightning reflected in your eyes as it strikes and the thunder growing deaf upon your ears. "The storm looks really pretty don't you think?"

You two are sitting in dragonspine with only a small fire that keeps going out no matter many times he uses his vision, you'd snuggle closer to him and even use your anemo abilities to keep the fire going a little longer. He feels bad about not being able to do much, but once again, he saw your eyes sparkling as you watched the snowy scenery. "The snow looks sobbeautiful out there."

You two slipped and fell into a pit with mud all over your clothes. He's starts apologizing again but you were just laying there laughing. It was like going down a slide you said.

Bennett had accidentally scared the fish away (and when I say accidentally I mean that he didn't do anything and they just swam off). He was upset he couldn't get any fish but then there you ran with your boots off splashing in the water. "Now that the fish are away, the pond is ours!"

You always made him happy.

No matter how bad things got for him, you were like that little shooting star or ray of sunlight through stormy clouds that brightened up his day.

It was then after thinking about that, that he knew he loved you.

But he didn't tell you about it. And was even careful not to drop any signs. (To which he failed miserably obviously.) (He was like an open book)

But his new found love for you just made it even more obvious.

He started evading your advances and tried to keep a distance from you.

He knows he causes alot of trouble for the people around him and he doesn't want that to happen to you anymore.

When you confronted him about it, he said it was nothing and that you should stop seeing him. "For your own good"

The mere thought was enough to send you into a rage. (But you didn't, you kept your cool)

And that was when he told you.

"Listen... I-I... I really, really like you ok. I love you. You-you make me happy all the time and I-... I'm just a burden. I know, you don't love me back. Just my luck I guess heheh-"

NOT ON OUR WATCH HE DOESN'T!!!

We shook him out of his senses and told him that we liked him too.

We made him cry. (A good cry!)

After a big emotional ride, the following days were happy. Bennett couldn't help but run to his dads and tell them that he has you now.
