I'm a queer disabled artist living in rural Ontario, and I'm trying to sustain myself with my art. As anyone who lives where I do knows (especially if you've had the misfortune of dealing with our convoluted and predatory disability application process) the money that should be there to help us live and function as human beings is not nearly enough to do so (thanks to the centrist and conservative governments not caring whether people like me live or die). So trying to meet basic needs is a challenge....
ANYWAYS, I make art
I do characters:
Animals and nature:
and MORE!
All of my info, including commission, products, and general support can be found on my carrd here and my website here
(reblogging this would help me and my art reach a wider audience. So if you're able to it would be much appreciated! thanks so much)
We're taking a deep dive into the YTV classic Freaky Stories, but I'm not doing it alone. I'm joined by the show's creator Steve Schnier, and with his insight, I'd say this is the ultimate video on this freaky little series!
Something my dad did when he was a kid (not sure what year- if I had to guess maybe 1966. Which would have made him 6 when he wrote this)
I love this so much it reads: “On this special day I like to play hochey hockey on my rink we play with a pufeshnol professional puck. But when I score a goat the ether other teme team goos shouts ‘oh gees’.”
Pour one out guys, gals and nonbinary pals. Teletoon is soon to be rebranded as Cartoon Network Canada, with the current Cartoon Network channel to become Boomerang.
The Punisher from YTV's Uh-Oh! Really did something to my subconcious as a kid.
You're watching a game show as a kid, when suddenly a guy in a gimp outfit comes out of nowhere, drags away one of the contestants that lost, shoves them in a tube and pours slime on them.
The guys's mask had a zipper mouth or a black hockey mask and a leather harness on his chest...
I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with some incredible talents. One standout was Anton Helman, a master of keyboard arranging. We teamed up for the first two surface2sound albums, producing what I still consider my best work in terms of fidelity and cohesion.
Recently, Anton and I reconnected. As we reminisced about our past projects, I pitched him an idea: translating my latest composition using his diverse keyboard collection and arrangements. The synergy was immediate. In just two hours, we crafted a song that felt like magic.
Anton’s musical prowess and humility shone through as he expertly captured the mood of the piece. In this composition, I envisioned a scene of canoe tripping through the remote Canadian wilderness, with an eerie silence preceding an approaching storm front. The music conveyed the tension of watching the skies as lightning and thunder drew nearer, eventually passing overhead before receding into the distance. #bandcampfriday #pianomusic #writ #insignia #pinkfloyd #canoecamping #canadiannorth #wildernessadventure
Have you seen this childhood show: Cyberchase (2002-Present), Canada and United States.
Commentary/Context/Memories: I used to watch this show before going to school in the morning. Fun stories, awesome voice acting, and legitimately made math extremely fun.
