This is great. This was from what used to be called Space Channel here in Canada (it's now CTV Sci-Fi). And what makes this even funnier is it's gotten WORSE (well, for Trek-haters) as Space/Sci-Fi is one of the only places on the planet that also airs the nuTrek series (Discovery, Lower Decks, Strange New Worlds, Prodigy) that otherwise stream in the rest of the word. And this week in particular not only are they airing the "original 5", but the new season of Discovery AND they're replaying Lower Decks. I think the only Trek that to date has never aired on CTV Sci-Fi is the 1970s animated series!

Due South, a humorous cop show that ran between 1994 and 1999. Set in Chicago but filmed in Toronto. One of my favourite television series growing up.

TL;DR – This is a delightful insight into a part of Canadian life. Disclosure – I watched these episodes on SBS. Letterkenny Review – As Christmas Day approaches (or if you are outside of Canada, you will get it on Boxing Day), it means that a Canadian institution is drawing to a close. It’s a show I discovered once by seeing a GIF on Imgur about kids falling off bikes, which is an odd entry…

Nerene Virgin, 1946-2024: Many Torontonians and their kids are familiar with the popular show Today's Special which ran from 1981-1987. Among many other things, Nerene also hosted Eye on Toronto for CFTO. Unfortunately, she passed away in Burlington on January 15, 2024. Here she is pictured with co star of Today's Special, Jeff Hyslop who is now 72 years of age.
