Edmonton Oilers + Fictional Hockey Card Inserts

I've gotten into designing trading cards for a separate interest, inspired by sport trading cards, music group photocards, and gacha card games.

For hockey, Upper Deck and O-Pee-Chee usually have special series of inserts in their packs, with some series differing between season. They're typically a more complex design than your basic pull, and quite a few of them are goofy (the UD Portraits come to mind), but it got me thinking what type of card I would want to pull if I actually bought a pack.

I'm not taken with the set names I've come up with, in all honesty; I'll happily take other suggestions for names or themes as I figure out the logistics of actually printing cards for the other interest.

I'm in the same boat as you on the DAI/DAV tarot thing. I was able to find scans of the back & front of the DAI cards and I printed them on 300gsm cardstock (I believe?). I know it's legally dubious but it was the only way I could EVER get my hands on that tarot deck & I'm not selling them. I'm probably going to have to do the same thing with the DAV cards.

Bioware could make so much money if they just released the card decks separately in their store. I can guarantee it would be a frequently sold out item.

For legal reasons I have to denounce this 🫡

But so long as you're not distributing them, and since they're out of print, it's not a terrible thing

I won't deny the idea crossed my mind but I'm too Collector Brained to want anything but the official release of things
