Thank you for tagging me @artsyunderstudy @nightimedreamersworld @valeffelees all of your wips are amazing😭
I've been writing MalMage non stop (tomorrow chapter 6 will be up, damn), but I figured I would go back to write SnowBaz for a change.
This fic was supposed to be out like three months ago, but it's been hard dealing with internalized homophobia, so I couldn't get the words out. But there are some now!
And oh, right! This will have art (already does, oops), so guess who...
BAZ
He kisses me one last time, with less enthusiasm than when he saw me, and starts to walk away, almost dragging his feet on the ground. If he had his tail and wings out, they would be down. I can’t let him leave like that. I go to him, turn him around with a firm grasp around his waist, and pull him into me. With a little bit more force than I should. A little treat for my Simon. I kiss him fiercely, soundly, like it’s life or death, like we’ll never do it again. Like I’m not seeing him in a few hours. He starts to get too enthusiastic, kissing me just as ferociously and hungrily, and I fist his hair to pull him back. He’s panting into my mouth. I kiss his cheek, then his jaw and down to his neck. “I’ll make sure you’re taken care of later, darling,” I whisper into his ear. “You just have to wait for me like the good boy I know you are.”
It's smut, of course, but there's some plot as well!!

Carry-on
So what do we know about the “cabin baggage” movie? Apart from the pretty bland sounding synopsis:
The film follows a TSA agent who gets blackmailed by a mysterious traveler to let a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Day flight.
Carry-on was written as a spec script so not on commission or request 8 years ago by TJ Fixman. Fixman has mostly written screen plays for video games to make a living and Carry-on was a passion project he wrote in his own time on his own dime, separate from the day job. This is what he said upon hearing it had been greenlit, with Jaume Collet-Serra to direct and Taron attached
“I'm very excited about this. The script was a passion project for me more than eight years ago, and I'm so excited to see it finally come together. And to think I was told "no one will ever make this script." - twitter
Eight years ago I wrote a script on spec that I was told would never sell. Today I'm excited to report that Carry-On has been green-lit by Netflix. Taron Egerton is going to crush the role of Ethan Kopek, and I can't wait to see what Jaume does with it. Get ready for a wild ride - instagram
His script only forms the first draft though, the greenlit screenplay has been re-written, polished up by Michael Green who is best known for co-writing the Logan movie that starred Hugh Jackman and for which Green received an Oscar nomination.
It’s impossible to make a decent movie with a bad script, it’s like the foundation. The best directing and the best acting will struggle to polish the turd that is a bad script - you just end up with good actors in a bad movie with a bad script - so Green’s involvement is super encouraging.
Jaume Collet-Serra has directed a string of movies all with ratings betwwen 5.8 and 7.0  on IMDB but that said he directed Unknown with Liam Neeson and whilst it wasn’t brilliant per se it was action packed, suspenseful and entertaining from memory it’s a while since I watched it. He then followed that up with Non-stop also with Liam Neeson and that movie was about an air-marshall and I can’t help but wonder if this movie will be in a similar vein? If it is then all I can say is Non-stop was non-stop action so if you like a fast paced thriller then this Director has the credentials. There might not be anything I can point to that indicates he’s a “great” but he’s definitely made a reasonable fist of the couple of films of his that I’ve seen.
Deadline said that Taron had been weighing several offers following the recent premiere of Black Bird and instantly clicked with the material once he got his hands on the script. Sources say he was the only actor to read and meet on the project; he and Collet-Serra instantly hit it off and a deal to sign on quickly followed.
Let’s hope there’s a few decent co-stars and if so with Taron’s talent there’s hope for a really entertaining movie. 🤞🤞

Turning off the reblogs on this. At the time I wrote it, it felt like what I needed to say. There's not as much activity on the post now, but when there is, I feel...sort of hollow. We're so far past the point where this even means anything.
Y'all remember "cops aren't supposed to kill guilty people, either", right?
Palestinians who have done something wrong don't deserve to die beneath the rubble of their homes.
Palestinians who have done something wrong don't deserve to be shot with expanding bullets that cause massive tissue damage leading to amputation.
Palestinians who have done something wrong don't deserve to have their flesh burned away with white phosphorous.
Palestinians who have done something wrong don't deserve their fishing boats blown up.
Palestinians who have done something wrong don't deserve to see their husbands and fathers executed in front of them along evacuation routes.
Palestinians who have done something wrong don't deserve an anonymous phone call threatening to destroy their lives and families.
Palestinians who have done something wrong don't deserve to be detained for years without charges.
Palestinians who have done something wrong don't deserve to be tortured, starved, and sexually assaulted in prison.

I just think that 'animals are living intelligent creatures that have feelings and deserve to be respected' and 'when done properly farming is beneficial to both people and animals and there's nothing wrong with raising and killing animals for food, clothing, and other products' are concepts that very much can and should coexist

My sort of maybe embarrassing “late to the game” thing I’m learning now is how to tell if oil has gone bad.
I feel like most other foods have obvious visual tells like mold or they end up smelling foul and obviously bad. But I was googling about oil and the internet says “if it smells like crayons, it’s bad” which would not have been my first guess. And I tested it out on my somewhat old sesame oil and was like “by god, I would describe this as smelling like crayons”
Anyway protip if your old oil smells kinda like crayons it’s probably no good 🖍️

Thank you for tagging me @larkral @nightimedreamersworld @artsyunderstudy @cutestkilla @blackberrysummerblog @forabeatofadrum @hushed-chorus you’re all doing such amazing works. I can’t wait to read them all
I haven’t interacted with the fandom for a bit, but now that I will go back to uni I can write and be more present. Completely stupid but I plan on habing more free time.
Currently I’m only writing and rewriting MalMage. It is an ick, I know, BUT they’re at Watford, and little. Not evil yet, so they’re alright for now:
I just posted chapter 5 of Cautionary Tale!! So here's a few sentences:
DAVID
Muttering curses at me, he stands up supporting his weight on my bed, and closes the distance between us. He grabs the teapot and hands it to me.
“Make me my tea,” he demands.
“Of course, your Majesty,” I tease. “Anything else?”
“Go fuck yourself.”
I love writing them being friends and teasing and just being extremely comfortable around each other. It's a contrast on how Simon and Baz were horrible during their Watford years.

It actually makes a lot of sense that Bruce was one of the few people left standing in the crowd at Haly’s Circus when Dick’s parents died.
Watching two innocent people plummet to their deaths is gruesome. It’s shocking. It can be horribly traumatic, depending on the blunt force trauma of hitting the ground. They might not have died right away. They might have bled and made awful noises that were heard even above the sounds of the crowd.
But Bruce is Batman. Bruce saw his parents get murdered right in front of him. And he knows the sounds and sights of someone dying. He’s hardened himself to stay calm in a situation like that, both through trauma and practice.
I think the image of a young Dick Grayson making eye contact with the one unshaken person in the crowd is chilling. A man standing resolute when everyone else is screaming, sadness etched across his face. But not panic. Not confusion. Resignation, maybe.

The most impressive flair of completely worthless coding on this website is how if you click the like button there's an animation of a heart rising from it, and if you manage to click THAT heart it unlikes the post. No one would ever attempt this maneuver on purpose. I have done it by mistake 5000 times because the rising heart floats directly above the button to expand the tags on a post when I'm on my phone. ...Actually, I have yet to catch the broken heart animation that falls down when you slaughter the rising heart. Would... Would that re-like the post...?
