also I keep seeing thesse Oh Jenny dolls which are like... pre-polly-pocket and about an inch tall and look like they have really nice playsets?? Ive never seen anyone talk about these! its weird because ive literally watched histories of polly pocket and this came out in like... 86? 87?

okay im all the way back at 1989 now, even though its the pink and purple era maybe the CCs came out then...

constantly torn between being finding various things and being unsure which section im supposed to be looking in

The CCs look... toddler,ish, but the box says not for 3 and under so it wouldnt be in the preschool section, its not a boys toy so that leaves like the Girl Section and the Horses

new Grail Barbie: the barbie giraffe (and to a lesser extent the zebra). its no secret im not the hugest fan of barbie but this is the coolest barbie animal of all time. dont ask me why they have a panda on a safari though.

i feel like play-doh used to be a staple kids toy but it was outcompeted by the concept of slime. now everyones making food out of slimes.

i guess i was wrong that 1989 was a complete pink/purple backlash, clearly theyre still allowing little boys to play with little girls. give it a few years, kids, and theyre gonna kick yall to opposite ends of the catalog...

why do i feel like if they released these dolls today people would react to them the way people react to bratz dolls
