Very quick sketches of some Fablehaven and Dragonwatch dragons... Raxtus turned out the best by far.
Have Raxtus, baby Raxtus, Raxtus egg, Navarog, Camarat, Jibarro, Nafia, Celebrant, Baby Chalize, Chalize and Siletta with a way too pale outline.

no, because why did my brain totally gloss over the fact that dragons can smell fear?? I mean, I was re-reading fablehaven, and then Navarog just CASUALLY mentions that he could smell Kendra’s nervousness
that means that Celebrant knew every time Kendra was talking to him, she was having a freaking panic attack

Headcanon that different creatures starts to seek out Kendra in the normal world because she is the Queen’s handmaiden and therefore the closest link to the Queen.
So it starts almost as soon as she leaves Fablehaven the first time, some fairy just wanting to see the handmaiden etc. And then they start asking for help, someone is capturing fairies and selling them, some lone dryad’s tree is being cut down and she wants Kendra to stop it.
And Kendra has no idea at first why everyone comes to her with their problems until someone finally tells her that she’s the handmaiden.
So after realizing that the Queen just left Kendra in the deep end some of the creatures tries to help her with her abilities.
Just Handmaiden Kendra helping creatures.
Meanwhile the creatures realize that Kendra is helping them more than the Queen ever has and starts to make a plan to overthrow the Queen and put Kendra on the throne
That meme;
Kendra: What do you have there?
Her personal defense squad/army holding the Fairy Queen’s crown: A smoothie
I adore that and they also 100% give her a smoothie as well.
It adds such a dynamic to book 2 as well, because she gets creepy thing coming in and just asks a fairy about it and the local magical creatures just fucking go off. Errol is sitting there going ???? And the poor creep is bolting for the mountains.
By the time book 3 rolls around Kendra is basically queen in all but name, book 4 she gets offered the crown and is like ????? While Raxtus is quietly fanboying over how cool she is.
This does allow her to have a diplomatic visit with celebrant, so it really speeds up the whole "get thing that fucking egg thief put in our fucking sanctuary we are not protecting his shit" thing (dragons don't like Patton, getting his stuff out is a high priority).

Happy Birthday Carol Patricia Smillie born 23rd December 1961 in Glasgow.
Smillie attended Simshill Primary School and the independent Hutchesons’ Grammar School but never shone at school, but she did eventually attain seven O-grades, including in fabric and fashion. She left the following year with three Highers, but needed five to get into the Glasgow School of Art. Smillie studied at Langside College, but managed only one more, which she has attributed to too much freedom and enjoying herself. Undeterred, she spent another year at Cardonald College, finally achieving this goal.
At age 18, in 1979, Smillie embarked on her first year at the Glasgow School of Art, studying Art, Design, and Fashion, with the idea of becoming a fashion designer. Smillie felt she didn’t really fit in with the typical punk students sporting green hair and pink shoes. To subsidise her studies, Smillie worked in a cocktail bar, modelling part-time so she left to embark on a modelling career.
Too short at 5 ft 5 in for catwalk modelling, she was booked for photo shoots and promotions by Best Modelling Agency. Smillie worked for the agency throughout the 1980s it was where she met her future husband, former model Alex Knight, the couple have been married for 26 years.
Carols presenting career launched in 1989, at age 27, when she beat 5,000 other applicants to become the hostess and puzzle board operator of Scottish Television’s Wheel of Fortune game show. She co-presented the show for 5 years with fellow Scot Nicky Campbell before leaving.
Since leaving Wheel of Fortune she has been involved in numerous shows including Changing Rooms the Travel Show and BBC1’S Holiday.
Carol returned to STV for the quiz show Postcode Challenge and it was on that show in 2008 that I appeared!!
As of 2018, Smillie qualified as a humanist celebrant with the Humanist Society of Scotland and is now pursuing a career conducting humanist, non-religious weddings, funerals and baby-namings.
Carol Smillie, has been a supporter of MacMillan Cancer trust among many other charities through the years.
Carol now lives in Glasgow with her husband Alex Knight, who she wed in 1991, and their three children - Christie, Robbie and Jodie.

Heres a fun question that I don't think has a firm answer: who do you think is the "intended" big bad of Dragonwatch?
Please put in tags your reasoning please :)

Celebrants of the festive deity,
Liberator who delivers us all
From sorrow to unfiltered glee,
Sing and dance until the fall
Of every heinous tyranny
That does nothing but enthrall.

So.
Not entirely sure what to put here, since they aren't exactly done yet. Since me & Roland have been taking about converting 2e Pathfinder APs, we've come across Blood Lords. We're all about evil campaigns in this house (even if I kind of have a hard time playing evil characters myself), so we made a couple characters for that, too. These gals don't exactly have names yet, but they're backstory is pretty interesting as it sits right now. The one on the right is a dhampir, and the one on the left is a Sorrow May Changeling. They're twins: both of them were born to San otherwise unassuming mother and father in a small tribal settlement not far from Graydirge, having been tainted by the presence (and possibly direct manipulation) of a Vetala (a psychic vampire of eastern folklore) that is worshiped by the town. As such, the dhampir, being a direct descendant of the local deity, lived a careless life of privilege, while the "invisible child" changeling was forced to work for everything she had, her sister always getting deferred to. The twist is that, where the dhampir arose as sort of an accident, the changeling is actually the one that is considered a successful experiment result by the Vetala itself, and is therefore infinitely more interesting to it, but the local townsfolk are too busy paying attention to her sister to listen to her when she tries to tell them so.
Anyhow, we're workshopping it. Roland's gonna play a skeleton, so it should be fun.
Also, I'm using a new method for sending images to myself to post them on this blog (my setup is weird, don't judge me), so they won't be as shitty and pixelated. Hope y'all like it.
