Energy Update: July 2023
Tumblr media
July is a “5” Universal Month [7 (July) + 7 (2023) = 14 = 1 + 4 =5]. 5 is a very dynamic number that tends to represent a big change of course or point of conflict. This is represented in the astrology in the month as well as we experience multiple planetary shifts and our lunar nodes also shift signs during the month. There are a lot of moving pieces and it may be hard to find solid ground as we slip and slide our way into the beginning of summer.
The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun and Mercury in Cancer, Venus and Mars in Leo, Jupiter Uranus and the North Node in Taurus, retrograde Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, and retrograde Pluto in Capricorn. By the end of July the Sun will have entered Leo, Mercury and Mars will have entered Virgo, and the lunar nodes will have entered Aries and Libra respectively. Additionally, Venus will retrograde in Leo.
For a month with relatively few aspects (number-wise), July is going to pack a punch. We will never be the same. This is, from the perspective of linear time, always true but in a month full of shifts and heavy hitters, some people may find their lives unrecognizable come August.
The Nitty Gritty
All eyes are on our lunar nodes and the number of strong aspects that they will make with the Sun, Mercury, and Mars over the course of the month ahead. When the lunar nodes (which always move retrograde – or backward – through the horoscope) switch signs, it is one of the big cosmic gong crashes that demarcate time. The lunar nodes represent the mathematical points in the sky with which the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth can come together to create eclipses. Our eclipse cycles ruled by Taurus and Scorpio are ending and we are entering the territory of Aries and Libra. The dichotomy of the individual “Me” versus the collective “We” will be at the forefront as we transverse this change during July. Expect these energies to reemerge later in the year as we enter eclipse season.
But first, we begin the month with Mercury cazimi as the Sun meets up with Mercury at 09° Cancer. The first will be a very inspired day as the Sun and Mercury also make a sweet sextile with Jupiter in Taurus. If you need to do some positive manifestation – particularly if it has to do with wealth or accumulation of things – this will be your day. This is a great day for intention setting or goal orienting of all kinds – remember to think big!
The weekend leading up to our full moon at 11° Capricorn on Monday is going to feel like a lot if you’re not ready for it. It might feel like a lot even if you are. Capricorn has been under a lot of pressure since the beginning of 2020 and is now dealing with Saturn, their planetary ruler, in retrograde and the recent ingress of Pluto backward into Capricorn from Aquarius. Sometimes we need to pay the piper. The sooner that we get up and do what needs doing, the easier this all will be. Saturn may be out to lunch but that doesn’t mean that you can skimp on the work – don’t say that I didn’t warn you. Venus in Leo will be square to Uranus in Taurus during this energy – this is the first pass of this aspect during Venus’ pre-retrograde shadow period. There may be some money troubles or overspending that needs accounting for. Paying the piper might be quite literal in this instance. Know that Venus will return square off with Uranus twice more: a second time while she moves backward during her retrograde cycle in August and a third time when she moves forward again come September. What is coming up now may be a portent of what’s to come. The week of 7/4 may be on the quiet side as we will only experience two Mercury aspects: a square with Chiron in Aries on 7/4 and a sextile with Uranus on 7/7. Use this downtime to integrate the energies of the weekend. Ground and center if you can. With Uranus involved, the energy is likely to be electric and some may find themselves unable to sleep or slow down. Heads up to those prone to mania or insomnia, this astrological weather is highly indicative or exasperating those types of problems.
On 7/10, we get our first big hit of the month on our lunar nodal energy as Mars enters Virgo and immediately forms a trine to our North Node in Taurus and a sextile to our South Node in Scorpio. Mars in Virgo can be fairly nitpicky and critical so some people may find their feelings hurt under this energy – especially, I suspect, if they are hiding from some part of themselves or their journey. Mercury enters Leo the very next day on Tuesday and squares off with the nodes as well which shows that things are going to get a bit testy. Be careful not to say something that you cannot take back as Mercury in Leo can be a bit tactless. The Sun in Cancer is also square to Chiron (exact on Wednesday), so old wounds are close to the surface.
The secret here is, as always, to use this energy to fix problems but when there is more than one person involved, there are no guarantees. Remember you cannot fix something with somebody who doesn’t think that a situation needs fixing, or somebody who isn’t willing to meet you halfway. Focus on healing yourself instead of trying to change others during this time, if you can. By the end of the week, the Sun in Cancer will be sextile to Uranus in Taurus – any Sun-Uranus aspect is a Red Flag Day; its worth remembering that Uranus is in Taurus and what bulls do with red flags.
Lie low for sure on Friday and maybe all week if you can. Unless all persons involved are willing to sit down and be honest and objective (Mars in Virgo), nothing will get done. Any important conversation that can wait probably should. And stay away from explosives of all kinds. Maybe especially explosive people. You know the ones.
This is all leading into a new moon at 24° Cancer on Monday 7/17 which is also the day that our lunar nodes switch from Taurus/Scorpio to Aries/Libra. Aries is sign #1 and hopelessly self-involved (by design, this is not a criticism) – we will all need to rectify how individuality impacts our own lives. The combination of new-ness of the day (new moon plus new lunar nodes) is a positive double-whammy for starting projects or just wiping the slate clean. Also note the cardinality of the day (Cancer, Aries, and Libra being three of the four cardinal signs) – go for it. Take active steps towards what you want to bring forth into this world.
Again, we get some downtime to process these shifts but things will heat up as we enter the weekend. The Sun in Cancer opposes retrograde Pluto in Capricorn on Friday along with Mercury in Leo meeting up in trine with Chiron in Aries. This is a revisitng of sorts – one which has some pain associated with it. Work your way through the pain rather than running from it – Mars in Virgo is opposed to retrograde Saturn in Pisces, this is your sign to stop avoiding that problem.
The Sun in Cancer squares off with the lunar nodes on Saturday the 22nd before entering Leo which shows that our egos might be getting in the way. Where can we think more big picture? Immature Leo energy can be very narcissistic and small-minded but we always get a choice. Try leaning into the Universal Heart energy of mature Leo and take a walk in somebody else’s shoes for an afternoon. I’m not saying that you have to try to empathize with that TERF next door, start with your partner, perhaps. Or somebody else that you care about. Where are you only thinking about yourself? Where are they only thinking about themselves?
Venus retrogrades at 28° Leo on Sunday 7/23 which is the other big event of the month. I wrote an entire post about this already but I will summarize by pointing out that Venus will make two squares to planets in Taurus (Jupiter and Uranus) and trines with Chiron in Aries. This is the time to do less – as in, don’t overdo it. The way that this will show up in personal lives will be different for everyone but some examples are: don’t jump too fast into new relationships (big R or little r), don’t overspend, don’t overeat or overdrink or insert your indulgence of choice here. You can read more about this Venus retrograde cycle here.
The last week of July will be quieter. Mercury will meet up with retrograde Venus on Thursday 7/27 – Mercury and Venus have been interacting in retrograde with each other since January of 2022. We need to learn to think and feel simultaneously – so many of us can only live in our hearts OR in our brains – we are being challenged to do both. Mercury makes an exact trine with our North Node in Aries on Friday but Venus never quite makes it – that’s telling. Thought is still winning. Where can you balance this by being more in your heart?
Mercury enters Virgo on Friday. Virgo is one of the two home signs of Mercury and is also home to our planet of action, Mars, during this time. This should give us some energy to do the work ahead of us for August and our Venus retrograde that is to come.
7/1 – Sun conjunct Mercury 09° Cancer, Sun in Cancer sextile Jupiter in Taurus, Mercury in Cancer sextile Jupiter in Taurus 7/2 – Venus in Leo square Uranus in Taurus 7/3 – Full moon 11° Capricorn 7/4 – Mercury in Cancer square Chiron in Aries 7/7 – Mercury in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus 7/10 – Mercury in Cancer opposed retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, Mars enters Virgo, Mars in Virgo trine North Node in Taurus, Mars in Virgo sextile South Node in Scorpio 7/11 – Mercury enters Leo, Mercury in Leo square North Node in Taurus and South node in Scorpio (fixed t-square) 7/12 – Sun in Cancer square Chiron in Aries 7/14 – Sun in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus 7/17 – New moon 24° Cancer, Mercury in Leo square Jupiter in Taurus, lunar nodes enter Aries/Libra 7/20 – Sun in Cancer trine Neptune in Pisces, Mars in Virgo opposed retrograde Saturn in Pisces 7/21 – Sun in Cancer opposed retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, Mercury in Leo trine Chiron in Aries 7/22 – Sun in Cancer square North Node in Aries and South Node in Libra (cardinal grand cross), Sun enters Leo 7/23 – Mercury in Leo square Uranus in Taurus, Venus retrogrades 28° Leo 7/27 – Mercury conjunct retrograde Venus 28° Leo 7/28 – Mercury in Leo trine North Node in Aries and sextile South Node in Libra, Mercury enters Virgo

Fate Grand Order Masterlist + Characters list:
Anything related to Fate Grand Order would be listed here. Like always, If there is character not mentioned here you can always request for them. Note: Some characters are based on historical figures. So when writing for them, I write for the character themselves not their real life counterpart. Characters in bold means I am mostly invested in them, but that doesn’t mean I won’t write for the others. If there is any character not listed below, you can request for them and I'll add them (There is like 300+ servants, so I'm bound to forget some ^^’) Also, you can request for Crypters as well. Seeing I had finished playing the lostbelts.

The Blue Manifesto
Be the color blue. Colors represent so many things, even traits in a person's personality. Blue should be the color to live by out of them all. The color is commonly associated with sadness or depression, but there is so much more to it. Blue represents trust, loyalty, peace, intelligence, and more. Some people might take on traits of the color red, the entire opposite of blue. People who are the color red are associated with the characteristics of hot-headedness, danger, and impulsiveness. I think, as a whole, that people who are generally reliable, secure, and compassionate are more likely to be successful in life and happier with themselves. Those are all more traits that are represented in the color blue.
In the film Moonlight, for example, the color blue is used throughout to represent the reveal of someone's inner truth. It also symbolizes the main character, Chiron's journey to finding peace and accepting his own truth, not letting others affect who he is. That's something essential always to remember. There's no way to live your life happily or honestly if you refuse to acknowledge who you are. You will especially never be able to discover who you truly are if you allow others to define that for you.
However, in life, sometimes people go through rough times, and sometimes they fall down. Like the color blue, sometimes people just have to put faith in their future and have the strength to get back up. In Bill Viola's "Ascension," you can see those themes reflected within the video. The man initially sinks into the water, but by the end, he's floated all the way back to the top, his hands and the top of his head breaking the surface. I also believe the color blue was especially prominent in this video because of its ties to spirituality and its representation of hope in many other Christian artworks.
Out of these art creations listed, Pierre Alechinsky's painting, Gong, gives the most significant representation of what the color blue can symbolize. While all art pieces are open to interpretation, the Gong is a more extreme case of this as it is abstract. In my original analysis of this artwork, I understood that it could come off with a sadder mood. However, even then, I said it felt more calming than anything else. I also went on to describe the lines and how they all felt smooth versus rough. I think it is beautiful that Gong can represent many aspects of the color blue, depending on who views it.
With all of this in mind, while I've given examples and statements of what to live by, there are, in contrast, some things to avoid living by. If a person is blue, they live with patience and empathy and can keep calm even in difficult situations. If someone is red, as mentioned before, they have traits in much opposition to this. This can be observed in the saying "seeing red" when people become very angry. Red is also used on danger signs and is often associated with this feeling. While there can be good associations with the color red, such as confidence, the idea is, as a whole, that if someone is blue, they are not the type to be impatient, aggressive, or violent, handling situations much more level-headed and thinking things through. That seems like the smartest way to go through a rough situation or any situation at all.
One of the most important associations of blue is compassion. Being able to show and feel compassion towards others is one of the best ways to understand people aside from yourself. It's the same with sympathy. If you don't share sympathy or compassion for others, it's easy to become distanced and detached from others, and it becomes more challenging to look at things from someone else's perspective or with an open mind. I think this is one of the reasons blue also happens to represent wisdom. Overall, blue encompasses many good values to live by, and I think it's worth reminding yourself, whether you're going about your day or in a difficult situation, to "be blue" and use its meanings to decide how best to live your life.

my favorite general headcanon in fgo is guda’s Servants being worried for their Master’s education (assuming that they haven’t finished high school and got transported to Chaldea around the time when normal teens are supposed to go to college) so not only did they throw in the basic curriculum for guda’s age but also added self-defense classes that most of the Servants fought each over on who gets to teach their Master how to fight/defend themselves using their own martial art/techniques. Of course a certain pseudo-servant caster was the one who arranged guda’s schedule so as her farming and singularity/lostbelt journey doesnt go interrupted so that means he gets to teach them a few spells that would help them outside of their mystic code’s abilities

Energy Update: March 2023
Tumblr media
March is a "1" Universal Month [3 (March) + 7 (2023) = 10 = 1+0 = 1] in a "7" Universal Year. 1 is the number of beginnings but this is a 10/1 - this is the type of beginning that only comes after great trials and hardships. Rejoice (in a way) - you made it to the other side. Maybe you even beat the bad guy. This is also signified through the astrology of the month as Saturn, our planet of responsibility transits from the fixed air sign of Aquarius into the mutable water sign of Pisces. This is a big gong crash that demarcates time as we experience it. Something is over. The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun and Neptune in Pisces, Mercury and Saturn in Aquarius, Venus Jupiter and Chiron in Aries, Mars in Gemini, Uranus and the North Node in Taurus, and Pluto in Capricorn. All of our planets will travel in forward motion all month long - it is go time. We will experience a number of planetary ingresses this month, the most notable of which is the aforementioned switcharoo of Saturn from a sign that it traditionally ruled (Aquarius) to the utter wilds of Pisces. Saturn entered Aquarius on March 21, 2020 and has been a major player in the last three years of our life. Saturn is a planet that is already quite hidebound and it can become deeply locked into place when transiting a fixed sign. That so many of us were stuck at home for months as Saturn entered Aquarius was no coincidence. This transit is going to be a huge release of energy - circle 3/7/2023 on your calender.
Additionally, we experience the expected personal planetary movements. Our sun will enter Aries as the astrological year is reborn at the spring equinox on 3/20 and Venus enters her home sign of Taurus on 3/15. Mercury is moving fast and enters Aquarius on 3/2 and moves on to Pisces on 3/19. Additionally, after a full retrograde cycle, Mars enters Cancer on 3/25.
The Nitty Gritty
This is definitely a new beginning but it may happen in stages as the planets all step into place to play their parts. The lunar nodes are in play as those close-moving personal planets (Sun, Mercury, Venus) move along - the South node will be activated in trine as they transit Pisces and the North Node in conjunction as they continue on to transit Taurus during the spring. Some of us may be held back by the things that we haven't offloaded, if that's you - do the work and let that shit go.
Our big days are: 3/2, 3/6, 3/7, 3/20. 3/21, 3/25
Any one of these days are huge power days that can be harnessed for many types of magic. Do the work on yourself and the energy will be doubled. This is the planetary "right time" to make a change in your life (whatever that means for you). If you work with this energy and use it to your advantage, there is less chance that you will be at the mercy of it.
This is a month that sort of demands that you put one foot in front of the other, always moving forward, to do the work. But we may have less incentive as Saturn transits into Pisces.
Pisces is just so damn dreamy. And no, I don't mean it in a "He's a dreamboat" /hystericalscreaming sort of way. I mean in the chronically avoids reality by creating intricate fantasy worlds sort of way. That's all well and good if you're an author of any kind but if you're just a human and you are locking your Others in your stories, well, we know that can become problematic, right? Right?!? Saturn is a dose of realism that even a Pisces can't hide from. This could be a good thing. We all have seen the rise in "misinformation" (let's just through that whole thing into one big blob, I'm not even going to try and define it more - all mutable mush here) that Neptune has inspired through its Piscean travels these past years. But the people whose bubbles are about to get burst aren't going to be super happy about it. In Pisces season, it's really easy to get stuck in the mud. We can all get a little bit dysregulated when forced to confront the things that we are hiding from, so maybe cut the Others a bit of slack and we are all going to have to endure these transits. We are all travelers on this planet together even when we don't want to admit to it.
Venus, who is leading the way ahead of the Sun and Mercury at the moment, will start the month conjunct to Jupiter and Chiron in Aries and end the month conjunct with Uranus in Taurus. There is pain close to the surface but this time around it looks like it may be there to compel change. In between these, she meets up in conjunction with the North Node and we get a brief glimpse into eclipse season and her future retrograde cycle in July.
The Virgo full moon on 3/7 will bring in the energy of Uranus in Taurus and happen on the same day that Saturn enters Pisces. This is the perfect day to set intentions around making changes (Uranus) that will improve your life (moon in Virgo). Leave an offering to sky-daddy Saturn to add some extra oomph.
Stay aware of your actions around 3/12-3/14. People may be betting beyond their capacity (Jupiter conjunct Chiron) or a past indulgence may come back to bite you in the ass. Mars in Gemini is also square to Neptune in Pisces for the third and final time as part of his retrograde cycle. Have you learned to just own up to it and tell the truth yet? Nah, I didn't think so...
Mars in Gemini shirks his lessons, that's for sure. He seems to get away with it though, so?
The Sun and Mercury are involved, too. They may shine enough light on the situation to illuminate it despite Gemini and Pisces's best attempts at looking in the other direction. Beware the Ides of March? I've mostly just wanted to be able to say that but its also not wrong.
A story is coming unraveled. I hope that it's not one of yours. I'd watch the media around the middle of the month - there could be a big reveal (or two).
At the same time, Venus slips into Taurus which would normally come as a relief but the beginning of Taurus is pretty weighty at the moment. She immediately falls into a sextile with Saturn which is quite constraining and then meets up in conjunction with our North Node of fate. Normally the party begins when Venus enters Taurus but this transit may be quite austere in the beginning. You may what to keep an eye on expenses during this time - especially if you're prone to excessiveness in that regard.
Venus conjuncts the North Node on the new moon on the first full day of the astrological new year - this is highly auspicious, again, for intention setting on new beginnings. Harness the energy of the spring towards your new projects. Work with Sun magic or seed magic for enhanced effectiveness during this time.
A few days later, on 3/25, Mars ends his long stay in Gemini by entering Cancer. If you haven't managed it before now (I get it...no judgment, starting things can be hard) this is another chance to start again and set new intentions. It's spring - time to go and time to grow.

i have some minor qualms with Lostbelt 5′s despctions of the Twelve Olympians (I feel there are some cooler things they could have done with them) but having the Gods be nothing more than malfunctioning robots is incredibly :chefskiss: .
It’s kind of honestly why I’d rather no more (since Artemis and Apollo are already present) of the Olympians be summonable in FGO since like... it’s hard to say quite right, but the story’s not about them? Not the story of FGO, but the story of Greece, and even the story of Olympus itself. The heroes and monsters the gods birth, or empower, or bless, or curse, or condemn, and the wars between the gods but fought by their mortal champions, it’s about those, it’s about them, they’re the true heart of Greek myth, in my opinion, rather than the Olympians themselves.
It’s further hard to explain, but I was thinking about this before with like... the sort of design contrasts and evolutions of the Greek myth characters, going as far back to the original Fate Stay Night, where you have Hercules and Medea in very sorta ‘traditional’ fantasy outfits, even if they don’t look particularly ‘Greek’. And you see this as well with Chiron, Atalanta, and Achilles in Apocrypha, and it’s actually Achilles’ ascenscions in FGO in which you can kinda see the evolution, going from a more fantasy style battle armor in his second ascenscion (in line with the style, imo, of Hektor, Chiron, Hercules, and Medea) to a tokusatsu show sort of look in his third ascenscion. You can see this too with Atalante Alter’s third ascenscion, which is kinda ridiculous, but you can see how an artist might arrive at that point if they started from from trying to ‘cyberize’ a boar pelt being worn on the shoulder, ya know? A lot of more recent Greek Servants lean more into the sci-fi/robot side of things (look at mecha-pilot Odysseus and Saint Seiya Caenis!), but I don’t think this sort of disconnect in design styles is a bad thing, as long as an appropriate distance is kept from the sort of ‘source’ of them, the Olympians.
And this has also got me thinking about Chinese mythology so far in Fate (which I’ll admit to not being super familiar with) which has a similar yet distinct robots and heaven mixing. But it seems to operate pretty differently in that there’s a lot less direct interaction and a lot more of, what I’d call, building off of what came before. Xiang Yu is a cyborg built from the literal remains of Prince Nezha, who in turn had been created by a Taoist sage. Lu Bu might himself be some sort of robot and Red Hare is literally a robot (or similar... thing) in the shape of a horse. Chen Gong is the inheritor of ancient Magecraft secrets that he was unable to make use of until he met Lu Bu. Both Shi Huang Di’s bodies, their large mechanical one and their Zhenren, are ‘inherited’, their palace form being built off mechanical remains like Xiang Yu, and their Zhenren body being manufactured after analyzing Yu Mei-Ren. Even Yu Mei-Ren, one of the fabled Zhenrens, doesn’t know much of her own origins and doesn’t really have any ‘answers’. All these different parts of these character backstories really work together, especially in the advanced tech SIN Lostbelt, to paint this really vivid picture of a type of Magecraft and heroes built on ruins and tools of the past, but not dependent on ‘gods’ in order to make them work.
