Check out erfolgt ohne offensichtliche Probleme. Nun heißt es der Navibitch neues Futter zu geben, damit sie uns heile nach Belgien geleitet. Wie soll es anders sein, alle Wege führen über... Antwerpen!

Wir geraten von einem Stau in den anderen. Aber Frau Merkel, ihr Puffel Achim und Mops Putin verkürzen uns mit der erheiternden Aufklärung mehrerer Morde in der Uckermark die Stauzeit.
Endlich - mit deutlicher Verspätung - erreichen wir unser Ziel Ostende in Westflandern, direkt am Meer!

Doch die Suche eines Parkplatzes in der Nähe unserer Unterkunft gestaltet sich äußerst schwierig! Frei nach Grönemeyer: Ich steh hier schon seit Stunden und dreh so meine Runden...
Im völligen Halteverbot werden die Koffer und sonstiges Gepäck hektisch entladen und mühsam in den dritten Stock eines Betonbunkers gebracht. Angelika versucht so gut sie kann als einarmige Banditin mitzuhelfen, die Feinarbeit meistert Corinna und Smilla schaut kritisch zu.
Die Wohnung ist geräumig, hell und hat eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf das Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrr!🌊🏖

Nachdem alles inspiziert, Koffer ausgepackt und der weitere Tagesplan geschmiedet ist, flaniert man auf der Strandpromenade entlang, um Essen für den heutigen Abend zu ergattern. Äußerst schwierig, da am heutigen Tag ein belgischer Nationalfeiertag zelebriert wird - Mariä Himmelfahrt- streng katholisch. Direkt vor der Haustür befindet sich ein kleines aber feines Geschäft des sehr freundlichen und lustigen Marokaners Tonton Garby, welches zum Glück geöffnet ist. Sein Verkaufsmotto: Sei glücklich oder du erhälst dein Geld zurück!
Wir schlagen sofort zu und kaufen unfassbar leckere Tarte au chocolat et almond avec miel aus eigener Herstellung. Weiter geht es auf die Suche nach- na, was wohl?
ALKOHOL!
Auch hier haben wir in letzter Sekunde Glück und werden in einem kleinen Geschäft an der Strandpromenade fündig. Jetzt nur noch Kibbeling und belgische Pommes! Dann wären wir sowas von glücklich. Mit den belgischen Pommes kann Angelika nach erfolgreicher, längerer Jagd dienen.
Der Fischfang ist leider leer ausgegangen.

1500 BC – 300 BC

Olmec Indians begin growing cacao domestically in the area that is now somewhere in the vicinity of southern Mexico. The beans were probably made into an unsweetened beverage consumed by elite, wealthy people.
300 BC – 500 AD
Cacao Adopted into the Mayan Culture
Mayan culture is developed in Central America and the cacao tree becomes part of that culture. The origin of the English word “chocolate” probably began here. The word for “tree” in the Mayan language was cacahuaquchtl, and the word xocoatl, which literally means “bitter water”, was likely based on the drink made from the cacao bean.
600-1000 AD Cacao Heads to South America
Mayans migrate south and take the cacao plants with them, beginning cultivated plantations. For many people during this time, the cocoa pod was considered to be a religious symbol, sometimes referred to as ‘the food of the gods’.
1200s AD Aztecs Drink Chocolate

La région des lacs : Bariloche en Argentine

Il y a un monde entre la Patagonie du sud et la Patagonie du nord. Et traverser ce monde, ça prend du temps. 22 heures pour être exacte, soit le trajet de bus le plus long et qui du coup marque une vraie transition. L'eau des glaciers de l'extrême sud se transforme en lacs, le vent violent et glacial devient une douce et agréable brise en remontant vers le nord : on entre dans la région des lacs.

Bariloche. Chalets en bois. Rue du chocolat. Cette petite ville est une station de ski prisée par les argentins en hiver mais aussi une station balnéaire en été avec ses plages en bord de lacs. Bref, il fait bon y vivre toute l'année et c'est la première fois qu'on s'y verrait bien y vivre nous aussi ! 
La route des Sept Lacs

La ville de Bariloche donne sur le superbe lac Nahuel Huapi dont les tonalités varient selon le vent, l'heure et la lumière. Il en jette avec son bleu azur, l'insolent. Et c'est pas fini. Le parc national Nahuel Huapi regorge de lacs plus jolis les uns que les autres. Il suffit d'emprunter la route des Sept Lacs et de laisser ses yeux s'écarquiller.

On retrouve deux de nos comparses d'El Chalten, Rudy le pompier et Kristel l'étudiante en médecine, pour louer une voiture tous les quatre. On a prévu de passer une nuit en tente au bord d'un lac. Après avoir fait quelques courses, on démarre la playlist et on appuie sur le champignon. A peine avons-nous quitté Bariloche que des arbres en fleurs jaune bordent la route. Il y en a partout et ça donne du contraste avec le bleu hypnotique du lac Nahuel Huapi. On s'arrête pour déjeuner sur une plage vraiment magnifique. Il y a pire comme vue pour manger. Et alors, est-ce qu'on s'est baigné ? Oui, mais seulement Rudy. Il a beau faire chaud, l'eau est gel��e. D'ailleurs, on ne vous a pas tout dit sur Rudy. Cet homme sait absolument tout faire. Il est pompier, il saute en parachute, il fait de l'escalade, il pilote des avions, il plonge, il fait de la photo, il joue du piano, de la guitare et de l’harmonica. Bref, le monde ne (lui) suffit pas.

On s'arrête à divers miradors sur la route. Impossible de se lasser de toutes ces nuances de bleu.

Lorsque le soleil commence à décliner, on se dit qu'il faudrait peut-être se préoccuper de notre lieu de camping. Rapidement, il commence à faire nuit noire. On jette notre dévolu sur un site magnifique en bord de lac avec un petit ponton et vue sur les montagnes. Parfait vous me direz. Sauf que le camping y est interdit. La plage n'est ouverte au public qu'en journée car il y a quelques résidences privées cachées dans les fourrés. Bon, on tente. On cache la voiture sous les arbres et on monte les tentes à la lumière de nos lampes frontales quand soudain, on voit les phares d'une voiture s'approcher. On éteint tout et on se cache derrière nos tentes (un acte de toute discrétion). Evidemment, avec les phares allumés droits sur nous, on ne peut pas vraiment nous louper. Le chauffeur habite dans l'une des maisons à proximité et nous explique qu'on ne peut pas camper. A voir nos mines déconfites (et les tentes déjà montées), il accepte finalement de nous y laisser dormir. De bandits réprimés, on devient des protégés privilégiés : nous sommes les seuls à camper dans cet immense parc face au lac.

Au petit matin, le chant des oiseaux vient nous extirper de notre bienheureux sommeil. On profite de la quiétude de l'aube et de notre hégémonie sur le parc pour aller siroter en toute tranquillité notre chocolat chaud sur la plage. Le lac, encore immobile, laisse les montagnes se refléter dans son miroir naturel. C'est non sans peine que l'on parvient à s'arracher de cet endroit pour regagner Bariloche.

Bariloche. Montagnes. Station de ski. Chalets. Donc fondue ? Evidemment.
La péninsule Llao Llao à vélo
Après le quatre roues, on passe aux deux roues. Et c'est sur la péninsule de Llao Llao que l'on jette notre dévolu. Le circuito Chico forme une boucle de 27 km autour du lago Moreno Oeste et Morenito. La route n'est évidemment à aucun moment plate. On alterne de belles descentes (moment agréable) avec des montées abruptes (moment pas agréable). Du coup, il m'arrive d'aider mon vélo dans cette dure épreuve de la vie et de le pousser à la force de mes bras. Parce que c'est pas facile pour lui.

On s'arrête à mi-parcours pour déjeuner sur une plage abandonnée. L'eau est translucide. Encore un spot pas terrible pour déguster nos petits sandwich. On s'étend comme des crêpes sur nos serviettes pour se dorer la pillule. Il fait quand même assez chaud ici en Patagonie. Antoine se dirige d'un air confiant jusqu'au lac. Il trempe les pieds. Moment d'arrêt et de questionnement. Il progresse jusqu'aux cuisses. Grimace. Le passage à la taille lui arrâche un petit cri. Puis, il se laisse sombrer dans cette eau glacée.

Le refugio Frey
Après les deux roues, il ne nous reste plus que nos deux pattes. Du coup, on part marcher du côté du cerro Catedral. C'est dans cette chaîne de montagnes que les argentins viennent dévaler les pistes en hiver. Nous, on a prévu de randonner jusqu'au refugio Frey, une balade avec à la clé, un mirador sur une jolie chaîne de montagnes. Mais pour y aller, il faut grimper bien sûr.

Dès que l'on prend un peu de hauteur, la vue sur les lacs est absolument splendide. Mais nos pauses contemplatives sont vite écourtées par l'assaut de grosses mouches affamées.

On court se réfugier dans une forêt d'arbres gigantesques traversée par des cascades. Un peu de fraîcheur sur nos corps en sueur.

La dernière partie de la randonnée est assez escarpée. La neige fait son apparition sur le sentier jusqu'à ce qu'on arrive au refugio Frey. Là, on peut enfin admirer le cerro Catedral et sa lagune en partie gelée.

C'est notre dernière étape en Argentine. Tu nous auras régalé de ton vin, de tes empanadas et de ta viande. Tu nous auras émerveillé avec tes paysages d'une rare diversité. On a l'impression d'avoir fait beaucoup et peu à la fois chez toi. T'es tellement immense. Peut-être qu'on y retournera, va.

Vegan für die Familie – vegan mit der Familie!
Ernährungspädagogin Jennifer Brüchmann bietet im neuen VHS-Semester eine Kochgruppe und einen Back-Workshop und damit zum ersten Mal etwas an der Rendsburger Volkshochschule an. Sie ist aktiv im öffentlichen Vegan-Treff und unterstützt den veganen Info-Stand beim Rendsburger Herbst – Zeit, euch Jennifer vorzustellen!
Jennifer, du gibst einen Kochkurs und einen Back-Workshop – wie bist du dazu gekommen, Kursleiterin für vegane Koch-Workshops zu werden? Ganz einfach, ich wurde von einigen veganen Freunden mehrmals gefragt! Ich habe schon vor und während meiner Ausbildung zur ganzheitlichen Ernährungspädagogin mit dem Gedanken gespielt, Menschen zu helfen, die Interesse an einer gesunden Ernährung haben, aber nicht wissen wie sie es umsetzen können. Aus eigener Erfahrung weiß ich, wie schwierig es ist und wie erschlagen man sich fühlen kann, wenn all die Dinge auf einen einprasseln, die wir so falsch machen in unserer Ernährung. Die Kurse zu geben ist eine tolle Gelegenheit und Chance für mich, um Erfahrungen zu sammeln.
Den Kurs „Gesunde Pflanzenkost für die ganze Familie“ gibst du zusammen mit deinem Mann Sven. Das heißt, dein Mann ist auch vegan? Ja, mein Mann wurde unweigerlich auch mit dem Veganismus infiziert (lacht). Als ich anfing mich damit zu beschäftigen, habe ich mich  natürlich mit ihm darüber ausgetauscht. Seitdem überrascht er mich immer wieder mit neuem Wissen. Eine tolle Ergänzung!
Und ihr teilt euch zu Hause das Kochen? Bedingt durch den Job meines Mannes bin ich meist die Köchin im Haus. Aber er hilft mir immer wieder gern oder zaubert selbst mal etwas Leckeres auf den Tisch. Nach seiner Aussage schmeckt es ihm immer wieder fabelhaft – und das ganz ohne Tier.
„Gesunde Pflanzenkost für die ganze Familie“ – wer gehört denn noch zu deiner Familie? Wir haben zwei Söhne im Alter von 16 und 19 Jahren. Der Jüngere ist von sich aus vegan geworden. Das war uns persönlich sehr wichtig. Denn trotz des Einflusses, den man als Eltern nun mal hat, möchten wir, dass sich unsere Kinder für eine Ernährungs- oder Lebensweise frei entscheiden können. Daher müssen wir auch mit der Entscheidung unseres großen Sohns leben, nicht vegan essen zu wollen.
Denkst du, es kommen auch Männer beziehungsweise Väter in den Kurs? Ich denke schon, dass es viele Männer gibt, die gern kochen und für eine bewusste Ernährung offen sind. Nur meist sind ja die Männer in der Familie beruflich sehr eingespannt, so dass sie leider oft weniger Zeit dafür haben. Aber ich würde mich freuen, wenn ich auch Männer in unserem Kurs begrüßen dürfte!
Was erwartet die Kursteilnehmer der Kochgruppe genau? Es soll ein Kurs für alle sein, die gern mal etwas Neues ausprobieren oder auch sich rein pflanzlich ernähren möchten und dabei noch Tipps und lecker Rezepte benötigen. Oder einfach, weil man Freude am Kochen hat und sich gern mit anderen austauscht.
Was ist anders, wenn man für Kinder kocht? Aus Erfahrung weiß ich wie es ist, wenn man sich jeden Tag Gedanken macht, etwas zu essen auf den Tisch zu zaubern – aber die Kinder es dann leider so gar nicht zauberhaft finden. Zusammen mit meinem Mann möchte ich in den Kursen zeigen, wie einfach eine pflanzenbasierte Ernährung sein kann. Vor allem das Kochen mit frischen Lebensmitteln liegt uns sehr am Herzen. Viel zu oft wird zu Fertigprodukten gegriffen, auch im veganen Bereich.      
Beim Back-Workshop können die Teilnehmer auch ihre Kinder mit anmelden – findest du, dass Kinder generell mehr darüber wissen sollten, was im Essen steckt und wie man überhaupt selbst Gerichte zubereitet? Oh ja, das Thema ist mir sehr wichtig. Leider wird das Thema Ernährung viel zu wenig berücksichtigt: Sei es im Elternhaus, im Kindergarten oder in der Schule, ja selbst bei vielen Ärzten wird nicht ausreichend informiert. Ich hoffe, dass es in Zukunft immer mehr Menschen und eben auch Kinder geben wird, die dafür ein besseres Bewusstsein entwickeln werden. Ich finde, Kinder sollten immer einfach mithelfen beim Kochen und so die verschiedensten Lebensmittel kennenlernen. So landet fast automatisch auch mal was im Schnabel der Kleinen. 
Bei beiden Angeboten im VHS-Programmheft steht nicht der Begriff „vegan“ im Fokus sondern „Pflanzenkost“ – ist das Zufall oder hast du den Text bewusst so formuliert? Ja, das stimmt, das habe ich tatsächlich bewusst so formuliert. Leider wird das Wort „vegan“ heutzutage als abwertend oder als Modeerscheinung missbraucht. Für viele wirkt vegan schon abschreckend und das möchte ich natürlich vermeiden. Es kommt auch nicht darauf an, 100 Prozent vegan zu sein, sondern sich wieder bewusst zu machen, wo Nahrung herkommt und was sie mit uns macht.
Wie lange lebst du denn vegan und wie ist es dazu gekommen? Puh, wo soll ich anfangen? Also, ich lebe seit jetzt zwei Jahren vegan. Auch mein Mann und unser Sohn schon mehr als ein Jahr. Angefangen hat das mit der schweren Erkrankung unseres Jüngsten. Wir sind seit der Diagnose immer auf der Suche nach der Ursache gewesen. Und als wir auf die grünen Smoothies gestoßen sind, kam eines zum andern. Unserem Sohn hat die Umstellung auf eine vegane vollwertige Ernährung so gut getan, dass wir zu der Überzeugung gelangt sind, das Richtige gefunden zu haben. Aber auch mein Mann und ich haben positive Effekte feststellen können. Ich habe zum Beispiel 25 kg abnehmen können.
Ich habe dank zahlreichen Videos und Internetseiten meine Ernährung recht schnell verändert. Einen Monat lang habe sogar die rohvegane Ernährung für mich entdeckt und dabei viel mitnehmen können. Auch dieses Wissen möchte ich in den Kursen gern miteinfließen lassen.
Was isst du persönlich am liebsten – und was deine Kinder? Ich bin sehr für Salate aller Art zu haben! Aber da ich noch immer eine Naschkatze bin, esse ich auch sehr gern Obst und hin und wieder Mousse au Chocolat. Meine Kinder essen wohl am liebsten immer noch Pizza – nur jetzt die selbstgemachte von Mutti!
