you can also use

"i like you" and ignore the comments wade makes about his skin and focus it onto him in a nice way.

"i dont care how you look like" X ! "I've seen way worse." X "it doesnt matter to me!" X "i like you i dont care about your skin" "you're beautiful to me" X etc..... X !!!!!!!!

So imagine you're juuust finishing writing a fic about Sherlock feeling Very guilty after The Dancing Men. A fic that contains the following quotes

And these are framed as more or less unfounded, right, it was a situation out of control, John knew what he was getting into etc etc.

Right, so imagine you have both these (Sherlock feeling perhaps unrealistically guilty) AND Sherlock's actual canon reaction to John being shot very very fresh in your head. You've basically lived with guilty-sherlock-after-danc in your head for the past.. two weeks or more.

And then you listen to the newest sh&co episode (you have patreon) and Sherlock tricks everyone including John to think that the two of them are heading in a building with an essentially unarmed man. When he knows full well that he is indeed armed. And not only he doesn't tell John until it's too late to turn back. But he takes one (1) bulletproof vest, only for himself. And sure, maybe he was convinced that Hector wouldn't actually shoot, so he didn't see it as leading John into Danger.. but then why did he take a bulletproof vest for himself?

But hey at least he said "stay behind me"

Please someone write a fic about john being rightfully angry about this and Sherlock realising he was a dick plsss

People might bring up Vincent van Gogh as an example of a painter who did great work in spite of, or because of, his suffering. I like to think that van Gogh would have been even more prolific and even greater if he wasn't so restricted by the things tormenting him. I don't think it was pain that made him so great, I think painting brought him whatever happiness he had.
