Possibly a bit of a niche fandom post, even for Tumblr, but I'm reading Red Side Story right now and I'm realising that Sterris Harms is possibly the only character out of all of fiction who would absolutely thrive in Chromatacia

I listened today (for about the 150th time) to the Matrix Reloaded soundtrack, especially these two tracks (which also are the last two songs I listened to) - feeding right into my need for rock/techno mixture 🎶😌

(very good songs to listen to while driving on the highway. But they make it difficult to keep a responsible eye on the speed limit)

'The Hobbit: An unexpected journey'.

Currently rewatching the Hobbit trilogy with my husband after we rewatched the Lord of the rings movies and what can I say... Frankly speaking, the Hobbit movies are just not my cup of tea. Too many of the "haha funny silly scenes and unnecessary 'cool/fierce comment by a serious looking character'"-trope, which is so overused in modern Hollywood movies (for example especially in Marvel movies). Imo it just doesn't fit the LotR-universe and the storyline. Still going to rewatch the other two movies, just for completion-sake.

Currently reading:

"Grau" by Jasper Fforde (in English "Shades of Grey" - nothing to do with the abomination "50 shades of Grey", miss me with that shit)

The story takes place in Chromatacia, which represents an alternative version of the United Kingdom wherein social class is determined by one's ability to perceive colour. Very cool world building, reminds me a bit of the novels by Terry Pratchett which I love. It was recommended to me by a dear ex-colleague from my favourite bookstore where I worked for years 😊

Currently watching:

Way too many true crime documentaries. I'm especially fond of the little documentaries done by the YouTube channel 'Coffeehouse Crime'. Very well researched and calmly and respectfully presented.

Currently consuming:

Toast with red Pesto on it. I was just very hungry and needed a small night snack 👀

Currently craving:

A hot water bottle and a cup of black tea (will both acquire later tonight), enough energy to do the laundry (not happening tonight), a full night's sleep (don't remember when I had one ).

Sis I need help. I'm a Gay who has an early-mid 2000's themed party to go to and idk what to wear. You're the first person that came to mind when I realized I need help. So far I have an iPod nano with a belt clip and my old flip phone with charms on it

I'd go with like some tacky ironic t shirt like those ones they sold at kitson back in the day and some old designer jeans like 7 for all mankind or rock and republic or true religion extra points if you can find some that are boot cut. Or some juicy sweats. Or anything from Juicy couture's defunct men's line really. Also don't judge me but I also wore a lot of ed hardy and Christian Audigier for a bit in that era. I'd also hit up @glutenfrida and @chromatacia and @cleopatronising for additional concepts.

@chromatacia I know but there is a facet of leftism that advocates for it and I mean it’s just...I dunno. I get the reasoning but there’s such a (reasonably well-founded) resistance I have inside that seems ignored or overlooked in any sort of gun discussion
