Professor Alopex (he/him), a Fennaixelphox (FENNekin + brAIXEn + deLPHOX) who's actually not a professor, he's a time traveler!

Gelphox (he/they), half Goodra, half Delphox, all chill as FUCK.

Cirrus (they/them), a kind, if slightly timid, Hisuian Zorua who lacks ontological inertia. (This is something they'll probably explain later on, so stay tuned.)

They also have a plushie of a Unovan Zorua, which they can possess to wear it like a suit!

Kasi and Akesi (he/him individually, they/them collectively), two ends of the same hybrid of Serperior and Delphox. They sleep in shifts, with Kasi being diurnal and Akesi being nocturnal.

Topaz (she/her), a hyperactive Were-Braicanroc who looks, speaks and acts like she's about 95% caffeine by body weight. (4 of the other 5% is crack.) Under the light of the full moon, she takes on a much brighter color scheme, making her look like a sparkledog! (Sparklefox?)

Clarion (she/her), a motherly Floatzel/Primarina hybrid who's in a band with Cirrus (they play piano, she sings), and can turn herself into a pooltoy at will!

I love her💕💓💖 Also for fanart purpose, what does Clarion, the legendary sword sold by Chandry, looks like in your mind? Cause its described as icy blue and gold like Gonturan (LOoOved the last Weapon Codex entry by the by.... 👀👀👀) but then Chandry describes it as blazing with red fire. Does it just change color when charged with magic?

Hi there, I'm so glad you enjoyed the last update, I'm having more fun than I thought detailing the differences between Elven culture and the Shepherds' way of life, and also HRGHGHH Tallys 💚🤎💚

And good question! When I first started writing the game, Briony (and Gonturan) didn't exist yet, so my initial descriptions of Clarion were based on what I thought Gonturan was going to look like, if that makes any sense! Once Briony was introduced, I gave her sword Gonturan's appearance because it fit her backstory better, and then I switched Clarion to a sword made of abyssal fire (which is why Chandry refers to it as blazing with red--I sort of imagined it as more ominous at the time, a void blade with a red flame), but that didn't feel right either, so now I've changed it again so that Clarion is sort of crystalline in appearance, almost as if it's made of iridescent crystal or glass, but edged with gold! This is its current description in my version of the game, which I don't believe I've updated to the public version yet because I know my indecisiveness is tiresome lol:

You pick up the sword in question, feeling its hilt hum and vibrate when you wrap your hand around it. The blade is constructed of a strange, icy blue crystalline material, edged with gold.

Chandry gasps. "You want to buy Clarion? The Skyshard, Herald of the Heavens?" He speaks in a very hushed voice, his eyes wide. "That sword is rumored to have been forged at the Eye of the World, the tallest peak known to man. Legend says that it's unbreakable, and when swung at dawn in the hands of a champion, it blazes with a radiant and holy light. Its edge is so sharp that it makes the air sing, almost as if it could cut the sky itself, and they say whole armies have been rallied by that piercing, maddening battle-song, as sweet and ancient as the winds and the turning of the world itself..." Then he pauses, looking a little sheepish. "But of course, that's just a legend."

So it's sort of heavenly/celestial/dawn themed... I don't really have a good visual reference for it at the moment, but maybe we can do codex entries for the legendary weapons when the time comes! This was the best I could do, but it's more about the material of the blade rather than the weapon shape itself, since these are all wrong when it comes to the sword's form and the gold detailing, etc.!

By the way, thank you so much for enjoying the weapon codexes, they've been so much fun to make!! 💖

Rockin' out

A ghost and a mermaid walk into a bar... and they perform the best damn concert you've ever heard. I like to think their band name would be "E=M-Sea Squared" or something like that. It sounds like "C squared", because both of their names begin with C, and also "sea" because the lead singer is a Primarina/Floatzel hybrid. Also, Clarion blows out bubbles that look like music notes when she sings.

Returning to Echo Isle wasn’t something that Liam rushed into without properly thinking through. Sure, his first instinct the moment he had received the letter from Clarion had been to drop everything and run to her. But he had held back from doing exactly that without proper planning. He had sat down with his eldest step-daughter and had a long conversation as to what his departure would mean for the magical community of his own country, finally deciding together that it didn’t truly matter. They both knew that offering the protection and aid to the magical beings in their neighboring country was more important than the gossip and backlash that Liam may receive for leaving his post. Plans had been made and within a fortnight, he was on a boat, being snuck into Echo Isle once more for a heavy price. One that he was more than willing to pay.

Finding a place to stay hadn’t been as hard as he had feared it might be, the Hotel Transylvania more than willing to welcome him without any questions as to how he suddenly appeared on the island. And once he had a roof over his head secured, Liam didn’t waste any time in finding the person he had come all this way for. Finding out that Clarie had made such a name for herself on the island, achieving everything that she had ever dreamed, brought a warmth to Liam’s heart - one that he hadn’t allowed himself to properly feel in years, and one that he had to push back and attempt to ignore as he stood outside of her office door. This wasn’t the time for letting his old feelings come rushing back or getting lost in the past. There were much bigger issues to deal with - the safety of all magical beings on not only Echo Isle but the rest of the surrounding islands as well should be their first and only priority.

Yet as he knocked on the door and heard the oh so familiar soft voice calling for him to enter, Liam couldn’t help the skip of his heart as he pushed open the door, standing in the frame rather than walking right inside. “Hello Clarion,” he greets, hoping his voice was even enough and didn’t give away any of the swirling thoughts in his head. “I received your letter.” Was all the explanation he offered at first for his sudden arrival after twenty years of being gone. Of course there was far more to the story of why he was here, but the time would come soon for telling the whole tale.
