Now that I'm interacting with the pjo Fandom, I've seen a lot of posts talking about camp half-blood, the weirdest thing about them is how most of you use "cabin mates" or some variation of it. Like... cabin mates??? Do you mean their siblings?????? The people they share a parent with????? 😭😭

Jason snorts but doesn't look away "I'll take that under consideration." He moves, giving her room to sit beside him.

"You ditched me back there. I don't know what they call it at your camp, but here that gets your arse kicked."

There's no bite to her words, not if you listen closely.

"I'm sorry, I just... Couldn't sit there and listen to everyone talk about getting him back." Says Jason, shaking his head "not that I think they're wrong for it." He adds, quickly.

Clarisse studies him "than why?" It's not judgemental, just plain and honest. "I'll be lucky if my Camp even notices I'm gone." He looks down, hugging his knees in comfort.

"Everyone is looking for him, everyone is trying so hard to find him. He'll be welcome back in open arms..." Jason smiles but it's sad and resigned.

Clarisse never wants to see it on Jason's face again.

"When I go back it'll be in chains."

She scoffs at that "they won't get near you." Jason looks at her, eyebrow raised. "Jeez you're dense, you're one of ours now. That means no one touches you, or I'll stick their head on a pike by our cabin."

Jason looks at her for several seconds, stunned. "Our cabin?" He asks, choking up. Clarisse nods like it's obvious "you're not an Ares kid but you might as fucking well be. You're just adopted, it's fine dad won't notice."

She hears the sound of sniffling and pauses. "Are you... Crying?"

Jason wipes his tears "no." Clarisse snorts, rolling her eyes and wrapping an arm around him. "God's who knew my brother was such a fucking softy. Get it together man."

And yet she's hugging him. Jason hiccups, crying more than he's cried in a long time.

Clarisse teases him for it and Jason's never felt more loved.

"I'm still kicking your arse for ditching me."

"I know."

if we're being honest, i don't think will and clarisse's relationship ever fully recovered or that they could even close to what they were before tlo. i think there's this all-consuming rage that fills will whenever he interacts with clarisse and it shows. also i think the apollo cabin refuses to use that specific chariot again.

rewatched the second ep of the pjo show and like,,,, clarisse isn’t angry enough. or more like she’s too passive. her guttural scream at percy breaking the spear her father, whose recognition she’s desperate to gain, gave her made me think she was gonna lose her shit. like yeah there was always a possibility that her spear could be damaged or broken, but actually seeing it happen would’ve understandably left her enraged and likely blinded by grief. i honestly thought she’d just run at percy and use her fists, and have to be physically stopped/held back. but she just grabs percy, hears that there’s people coming, and leaves. i doubt she’d care abt others seeing her beat up the new kid since ares kids have a reputation for being angry/fighting/etc + her whole angry thing isn’t just bravado, she’s actually confrontational and can fight + she’s clearly upset and likely emotional abt the spear. really wish there’d been an actual clear reason for her to hold herself back, not just drop it out of nowhere
