Cocaine Werewolf will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on August 13 via Cleopatra Entertainment. This real movie that actually exists is directed by Mark Polonia (Feeders, Cocaine Shark).

Brice Kennedy, Jamie Morgan, Ken Van Sant, Titus Himmelberger, Yolie Canale, Jeff Kirkendall, and Noyes Lawton star in the 2024 horror-comedy. Tyger Torrez penned the script.

Former CAN Singer Damo Suzuki Dies at 74

Damo Suzuki, the Japanese-born singer who fronted the German band CAN on three albums in the early 1970s, has died at 74, the group said.

“It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of our wonderful friend Damo Suzuki (Feb. 9),” read a statement on the band’s social media pages.

“His boundless creative energy has touched so many over the whole world … Damo’s kind soul and cheeky smile will be forever missed.”

No cause of death was given.

Suzuki joined CAN for its third LP, 1971’s Tago Mago and stuck around for Ege Bamyasi and Future Days before leaving the group and retiring from music altogether for a decade.

“CAN were an absolute foundational band for Dead Sea Apes,” the latter said in a statement,” while American Football called CAN “a huge influence on us.”

The singer re-emerged with Damo Suzuki’s Network in 1983 and remained active until his death.

Suzuki was “a true pioneer who mastered the art of improvisation, leaving an indelible mark on music history,” Cleopatra Records said in a statement. “Your spirit and innovation will forever resonate.”

His first appearance on a live CAN album arrives Feb. 23 with the release of CAN Live in Paris 1973.

I really need Spotify to step up its industrial metal & rock selection. They've got the big ones like Metropolis and WAX TRAX! stuff, but I don't think they have anything from Cleopatra Records, TVT Records, or any of the small independent labels. Seems like they really only care about obtaining rights from major labels.

The Black Mass will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on February 27 via Cleopatra Entertainment. Inspired by true events, the 2023 serial killer thriller marks the feature directorial debut of indie horror actress Devanny Pinn.

Andrew Sykes, Eva Hamilton, Michelle Romano, Chelsea Gilson, Devanny Pinn, and Sarah Nicklin star with Lisa Wilcox, Susan Lanier, Lew Temple, Eileen Dietz, Jennifer Wenger, Nicky Whelan, Kathleen Kinmont, and Jeremy London. Eric Pereira and Brandon Slagle wrote the script.
