Nieuw Amsterdams Klimaat - Routekaart Amsterdam Klimaatneutraal 2050

Amsterdam wil een groene, gezonde, welvarende en duurzame stad zijn voor iedereen die er woont, werkt of op bezoek komt. Om de gemiddelde temperatuur- stijging op aarde te beperken moet de CO2-uitstoot omlaag. Amsterdam wil de CO2-uitstoot met 95% terugdringen in 2050 ten opzichte van 1990 en de stad vóór 2040 volledig aardgasvrij maken. De tussenstap op weg naar 2050 is 55% minder CO2-uitstoot in 2030. Om de doelen te halen is een trendbreuk nodig en moet de CO2-uitstoot flink naar beneden. Een onomkeerbare beweging is nodig van een stad die van kolen, olie en gas voor 100% overgaat op schone energie.

De Routekaart is een ambitiedocument met een lange termijn visie op de Amsterdamse energietransitie en acties voor de korte termijn. In de Routekaart beschrijven we de belangrijkste ingrediënten van onze visie en strategie om de overgang van fossiele naar duurzame energie in beweging te zetten en te houden. Het is de start van een periode van intensieve samenwerking, waarin we continu experimenteren, cijfers verzamelen, evalueren en leren.
