Only the beginning
Pairing: Newt x Medjack!fem!reader
Synopsis: They thought they were subtler, no had ever mentioned a word about the attraction between their second-in-command and their Medjack, turns out, they were just waiting.
Tumblr media
It all started when after one and a half years of being stuck in a maze, a girl was sent. Unconscious with shallow breathing, Newt was the first to help the girl out of the box despite his limp. It's a girl, of course he'd help.
But that 'help' turned to protectiveness. Making sure he or other trusted gladers watch over her. She's been asleep for five days before waking up with Newt drawing something on a paper.
It weren't long for them to realize that she was weak.
Her knees give up easily while moving logs made for building from one point to another. She's easy to bruise when the hogs always bump their heads onto her. Her hands ache when holding the knife too long. Everyone thought she'd be a fine slopper, but Newt insisted she becomes a Medjack. She's fragile, so what? They can use a bit if feather touch after putting up with Clint and Jeff's touch that felt like metal weights.
But things started to happen.
The girl, later remembered her name to be Y/n, was naturally calm person. She's relaxed and gentle. Very motherly. Very attractive for Newt.
What do you mean she can be gentle and firm at times? Can discipline but also care for the rest of the gladers? Fight for your opinions without stepping on others? In Newt's vocabulary, that's just her being the best woman she'd ever known... If he actually known any woman before the maze, that is.
So naturally, Newt was always looking for her. Always near her. Always restless before seeing her figure pick up herbs from the front garden of the Medhut.
This was supposed to be subtle, but what can the gladers say? They're observant.
"Why are you so restless?" Alby asked one day, seeing Newt's head turn around the glade for the nth time. The day was peaceful, so why is he so bothered? "Are you looking for Y/n again?" He followed up after Newt didn't even look at him. With how much they've spent together, it's not hard to finish the puzzle that Newt may or may not be interested at Y/n.
A beat passed by. "No." Newt answered. But that small second was long enough for him to say yes. And Alby knew that, too.
And it's not like it's any better for Y/n's side. It's not like she's evil or something but... She kinda wants Newt to show up with a small cut, probably for some small accident in the garden and she'd give him a small bandaid to put it on him.
My gosh, she was delusional.
Her eyes tries to find him too, the kind soul who didn't look at her like she's a meal when she first woke up, and made sure the others didn't too. The gentleman who was patient with her when all the other first jobs failed her. The friend that made sure she wasn't to be a slopper.
"You've been staring out the window for a good half an hour. Who are you looking at?" Clint tries to follow whever her gaze might be on a random day. Eyes squinting to find who in the world is making her look like she's daydreaming on clouds.
She sighed, keeping her attention back at the book of medicine sent from the box alongside some good medical aids. "Nothing." She shortly answered.
Clint swears he only see on guy on the field. Newt. Cluelessly picking at some grass in the middle of the field. "Are you looking at Newt?" He asked with a raised brow. "No." She bluntly said after a good pregnant pause.
Clint didn't believe a klunk she said. Like yeah sure, be interested in the maze entrance.
And like the universe had listened go her request that Newt somehow finds his way to her. Clint called in sick, ironic right? And Jeff is busy on the other end of the hut tending to a Slicer who almost cut a finger off.
But it's Newt daily check up.
She was gentlest thing that ever touched him. She was examining his feet with keen eyes, looking for any strain in the movement or when his face ever contort even in the slightest bit of pain. But if she's gonna ba that gentle, he might aswell fall asleep. And dream that they were out of this place... And seeing that face.
Why is she pretty?
Wait what.
Yo ho, that was not Newt.
Definitely not.
She let's go of the foot with a happy face. "It's been healing so great! I looked over some of your charts from last check up and I observed it's going so well. Good job!"
The feeling on his stomach was weird. It kinda flipped, then backflipped, then did a pivot, then did a backflip again.
"Just come back about two weeks from now so we can see if this state is permanent, okay?" She gently patted his leg as she rolls down his pants to cover his ankle again.
Y/n decided to get some more herbs from the front garden. Newt only teared his gaze away from her the moment she was out the door.
He kind of jumped when Jeff has his eyebrows raised. "What's with the heart eyes, shuckface?" He teased.
"What face?" Go Newt, go deny your little heart out.
"Going for her, huh..." Jeff busied himself with reorganizing the used supplies. "When will you step up your game?"
"I am not playing anything." Newt said firmly, just a little gaslighting for himself.
Jeff can only sigh. Who knew Newt will be this much of a coward in love?
Newt started to act more weird. Concerning? Maybe, especially if you don't know that he's doing all this for a girl.
It was like Jeff planted a thing in his head after that check-up. Suddenly his limp wasn't there when she's walking past Y/n. Or when his posture suddenly straightens despite the tiresome day he had. Gally looks at him with confused eyes whenever these kind of change happens. Zart can only side eye him.
One afternoon, with a surge of courage that he didn't know where it came from, he had the audacity to show up and make Y/n feel like a princess.
"Hey." Y/n almost jumped at his voice, "Mind if I help you?" Newt said, motioning to the heavy boxes of new medicine they haven't yet seen before. They were heavy too.
"Uh... Yeah, sure." She nodded.
Newt made sure to flex up his arm as he do so.
One day, Gally was asking Newt to help cut some logs to smaller pieces. Newt was reluctant, saying that his leg is not cooperating today. But when Y/n were about to walk past, he got the axe so fast and was chopping those woods.
Gally never looked at him so passively. "Seriously? All it took was Y/n?" He shakes his head.
Newt didn't say anything though. She looked in his direction, looked at his aura and brooding shoulders as the axe split the logs in half, it was enough.
Gally wants to throw a stick at him, tell him that his eyes shall tell no lies. This show of hopeless romantic is really starting to infuriate the Keeper of Builders. Just go tell her, man!
Everybody was fed up with it. Even Alby, who was hapoy for his friend after taking a notice of it too. They're all just now urging their second in command to just make a damn move instead of acting like a shank in love. They claim "you gotta step up with your game, man."
And step up he did.
A bonfire night, where the night was mostly to the gladers than the greenie who is always terrified as they look in the air, contemplating if the universe hated them. Newt had other plans though.
He made sure not drink any of Gally's brew, to not mess this up and actually have a good conversation.
Silently, he sat down next to her. If you would've been a glader dancing around the fire or simply eating your food, you'd think Y/n was not freaking out. But she was, inside.
"It's kind of ironic how we celebrate this day... When us back then were... Terrified." He started, acting nonchalant and cool. As if he's naturally like that.
You chuckled, "It's kind of comforting now." After all that time of ups and downs, they managed to still find time to bond and let loose. "It's a good routine."
"You know... It's kind if weird how not a single girl came after you." He brought up, not that he wanted another female, of course, she was enough.
"Does that make me special?" She tilted her head at him, her eyes catching just the right lighting from that angle. For a moment, Newt forgot how to breath. "Yes... Because you're the only girl. But you're not special in that way to me."
Newt's conscious is very afraid of himself. Who is talking right now? And where did that idea came from? What is happening?
"Oh? What kind if special am I to you?" She was half expecting him to say something stupid, or a teasing comment. The other half believes he's gonna say something kind, touching.
"The kind of special that might scare you off... Or maybe even... I don't know. Make me look weird?" Everything seemed enough. But now he's risking it all for a simple– no, life-changing confession.
Well she didn't understood that reference. Give her a break, she just woke up with her memories wiped, okay?
When he got that look from her face, he urged to explain. "I mean... You know..." She, in fact, did not know.
"I just meant that I seem to really like you." He sighed, each word goes quieter.
"Awww, I like you too!" She responds with a innocent smile that tells him that what she said would've been something he'll feel joy with if she didn't say it with in the most platonic way.
"No- I..." He sighed. "I meant like... I like like you." Yep, he was shucked up. He was sure of it.
"Oh."
That's the only thing that came out of her mouth; oh.
Those two letters was enough to make him wish that he got eaten by a griever just about now.
But the smile that came after? That smile that no one has ever seen? The grin that spreads over to her cheeks and shows all her teeth?
Yeah... Newt might not have shucked up at all.
From Frypans counter on the far left, Gally, Alby, Jeff, and Winston took place, looking like they finished a series and it was a happy ending. "Took him that long?" Jeff couldn't believe it. Their second in command is flirting. "I'm even surprised he didn't did anything embarrassing." Gally quiped, finishing his stew.
"Looks like I need to be stricter. Someone's going soft." Alby joked.

My first ever Newt fic! I know that Newt is confirmed to be a queer character, but I don't know how to write a fic accordingly and I'm very afraid to offend people. And I know there might girlies who still wants a Newt x female reader. I hope you understand!
I'm also really sorry for being so inactive, school has yet to be off my back and vacay had just started so expect a lot from me, my sweetings!
Please feel free to request any of your fantastic ideas!

Helicopters
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Printed/painted some helicopters. Accidentally found out superglue will foam up if you put it on wet paint, when I tried to glue them on their posts too soon. Exploited that effect to make rotor wash clouds on the base.
Tumblr media
WIP before detail paints. The helicopter model was free, stand was made of cylinder/cone primitives in the printer slicer program itself, base was recycled from some Mercs box tanks that I liberated from their unnecessary bases via knife.

Belated WIP Wednesday, double feature edition!
thanks for tagging me @atsadi-shenanigans like, days ago 😅
I went a bit ham this week and tbh don't know when either of these fics/chapters will be released, so here, some juicy excerpts of both Chapter 34 of For All the Wrong Reasons as well as what I'm tentatively calling Auntie's Dirty 'Maid:
From the upcoming smut oneshot:
One of the few things Karlach and Tav agreed upon was their mutual love of dingy taverns. After a long day hunting down unknowing targets of the Bhaalist cult, she had mentioned, quite offhandedly, wanting a drink from a place that didn’t charge an arm and a leg, and Karlach had pounced on the idea like a lifeline; after a quick stopover at the Elfsong (where Astarion kindly stowed her pack for her as Tav waited downstairs, tense and coiled as a spring), she’d barreled down the stairs, a chuckling Wyll entwined around her elbow. He hadn’t been to the ‘Maid in an age and a half, he’d said, and certainly not as a man grown—Wyll was eager to see how it had changed in his time away. Privately, Tav thought he only wanted to spend more time with Karlach; not that she’d begrudge him that, as Astarion fell in step by her side, cold fingers brushing against the back of her hand in playful nonchalance. And that was how Tav had ended up here, nodding seriously as she sipped her third drink of the evening while her new bar-side companion rambled on and on about the struggles of a sailors life: how difficult it was to be a ship’s cook, how miserable it was to cook with hardtack and salt pork and little else; how their spices had gone rancid, how the taste of fresh fruit nearly brought a tear to his eye after months without; the time he’d try to make a stew out of rats for want of a new flavor (something that made her snort with real humor, coaxing a quick red flush across his face), the dangers of Mandoline slicers, and yes, he’d already offered her something illicit, and no, she had no wish to partake, thank you very much. Her crossed legs kept him a respectable distance away, he didn’t stare at her bared cleavage, and he’d yet to flirt with her in any way besides common bawdy humor, so overall, Tav was enjoying her chat with the ship's cook, Rhetton. Or was it Rickon? It didn’t matter—he’d called her Tiff and then Tiffany two or three times already. Names were the sort of things that didn’t really matter, when the company was right and the alcohol was flowing. It wasn’t quite the end of a tenday, but the Blushing Mermaid was in full swing regardless. Most patrons kept to the outside ship deck, enjoying the last dregs of dusk-light as the late Marpenoth breeze brought with it the first welcome nips of evening chill. The inside tables were still mostly empty, the upstairs silent, but a new ship had docked in port, bringing with it a steady stream of thirsty sailors and work-weary Baldurians seeking food, drink, and a show; the infamous “Shimmer the Siren” sat kitty-corner away from her, sullen-faced and stone-silent, deep in a steaming bowl of pottage and chewing through an impressive quarter-loaf of bread as Tav politely pretended not to recognize them.
---
And perhaps… able to dispense some sage advice upon the youth? “I wouldn’t recommend it,” she stage-whispered, sidling up behind Wyll with a hand on his shoulder, and leaned to whisper against his ear, amusement bubbling within as he jumped and then remained tense. He was strikingly warm under her hand. “Climbing the rigging, that is. People have died.” “I wasn’t going to climb it,” he protested, and Tav almost believed him. “I was simply thinking about how… unsafe it looked. A thrown chair could bring the whole thing down.” “It has,” she replied, and twisted around to swing a free chair beside him, sitting down, both their heads angled towards where a particularly saucy carving of, indeed, a blushing mermaid hung, trapped in the rigging above Bosun Gannet’s head. Her head felt light as clouds as she and Wyll clacked their drinks together, an ever-present smile on her lips. “Personally, I think they planned it that way,” she said. “Bunch of sailors coming in at all hours, hoping for a fine Baldurian lad or lass to take them home to a warm bed and hot breakfast in the morning? The city can’t keep up! The captain had to give them something to admire—and after one too many drinks, that mermaid looks awfully tempting...” Wyll snorted. He still looked entirely too sober for her liking, but then again, someone had to be, and it wasn’t going to be her.
---
Another drink, another joke—Astarion’s hand slipped around her shoulder like it had always been there, cool fingers brushing against her bare skin as she tucked herself as close under his arm as their chairs would allow. Beneath the table, she tucked one foot behind his ankle, their calves pressed together; tugged at his shirt-laces playfully, and let her hand wander to his thigh, curling her fingers a smidge too high to be appropriate, following nothing but instinct, routines well trained—as did he, undoubtedly, reaching to tuck a strange of hair behind her ear, soft enough to make her shiver. Tav let her head rest against his shoulder, strong and safe, and bared her neck, fresh and un-scarred, felt her heart pounding inside and swore he could see it beating, pulse fluttering against the skin, for his eyes had darkened, lingering and half-lidded, his breath cold against her face. What temptation, to entice a vampire before an audience. How often had he stared at other necks, a feast before the starving, making moon eyes at those too insipid to know that it was death that dragged its fingertips along their veins? Down her sternum, tracing between the valley of her breasts, heat rising in his wake—to linger upon the clasp that kept her leather vest sealed, her breasts contained. “Sometimes,” Astarion breathed softly, his eyes dark and heavily lidded as he stared down at her neck, the bustling tavern nothing more than indistinct noise surrounding them, “I wonder just how powerful you are. What you could do... in a place like this. How many you could hold under your sway.” The Absolute, the Bhaalist Cult—Cazador fucking Szarr—it all felt very far away. Problems for another person. All she had to answer for, was herself. “I have my limits,” Tav replied, just as softly, just as sweetly, a croak she swallowed before it could make itself known. “Enough to be impressive. Too much, most would say. All would say,” she corrected herself. Her mouth had dried. “Myself included.” Horrible. Terrible man, to remind her. To tap his fingers against her heart and push her away, forcing Tav to sit up once more and take a sip of her wine, gone tasteless as water in her mouth, her heart racing; suddenly annoyed in realization that she’d been seduced, not the seducer, for Astarion looked unruffled, coquettishly at ease. “Still,” he mused aloud, “you must have some idea. You handled those Gur easily enough, though not all of them. What is it then, five? Ten? Really—how many could you handle? In all the ways that matter, darling.” His red, red eyes gleamed in the firelight. The way he said it left no doubt to what he meant.
As for Chapter 34:
The rage she’d seen had disappeared, but she knew it remained. Cazador Szarr was not one to forgive an insult, imagined or intended, but that was fair: neither was she.  A fine tingle had pressed itself into her skin. Every movement felt meaningful, laden with intent; Tav lifted her chin, felt the pressure of the cool, musty air, felt the weight of her strange rich outfit and embodied it, pretending to be all that Astarion had thought her to be, in his darkest imaginings. One master to another, a peer to a peer, warlock to vampire; there was a deal to be made. Heedy. Intoxicating. Meat-sweet and cold brine—power tasted like her patron’s ink dripping from her lips, supped from a bleeding book locked in the basement tight. “You ascribe Astarion far more agency than I expected,” Tav replied, light and lilting, amused at how his demeanor sharpened. “He doesn’t know I’m here, nor is it his business to know. If he did, I imagine he’d be quite upset.” Lighter still, Cazador answered her in kind, his voice thin, his body still. “Should you have come to waste my time, know that there are consequences for such... bold action.” Unspoken, the demand: Why have you come?

|Chapter•Nineteen|
•|Masterlist|•
When (M/n) opened his eyes, he guessed it was rather early still, the silence of the Glade buzzing in his ears, filled by the ambience sounds around, but there were no sounds that could be produced by humans.
He sat on the bed, slowly and carefully, and he was able to feel how his pain was almost fully gone, he just had to be careful with certain movements and probably not lift heavy stuff, but he felt fine and the bruises looked good as well. Maybe he could get some work done if he could make Gally give in.
And that was gonna be his objective, he only had one obstacle in his path, and it had the name of; Gally.
Hopefully, it won't be too hard.
But first, he had to use the bathroom.
//////
He went back to his treehouse with a light jog, going up the ladder to change his clothes into something more light, the day was getting warm but hoped it wouldn't be too hot later in the afternoon, and he stepped down again, greeting Bark with a good morning hug.
"Oh, you're already up," he looked up, squinting his eyes due to the sunlight coming through the tree branches and leaves, and there was Gally, making his way to them. Bark backed away from (M/n) and went to greet the blond as well, who smiled and messed with his fur a bit.
"Yeah, that's unusual," they chuckled and soon began making their way back to the Homestead, "I feel pretty good today, actually..." He said acting nonchalantly, but Gally didn't miss it.
He looked at (M/n), who had his lips pursed and wasn't looking at him. Gally had a grin on his face, shaking his head and softly patting his shoulder, now (M/n) was looking at him.
"We'll see, dummy, we'll see," he huffed and pouted but didn't say anything, following Gally inside and waiting in line for their breakfast portion.
The blond looked at him, almost dumbfounded at the fact that (M/n) was queueing with him to eat, even Fry was pleasantly surprised, and with a smile, he served (M/n) a smaller portion of his breakfast and they made their way to their table. Only a few of their friends were already there, eating and simultaneously falling asleep.
(M/n) waited until Gally had eaten something before asking him if he could work, telling him that he was feeling good and felt like he could handle it. So when Gally was smiling and talking to the others as they began fully waking up, he took a deep breath.
"Gally-," his voice got cut off by the sound of thunder going on outside. A few guys jumped at the loud and sudden sound, and they glanced outside, seeing how the sunlight they had less than five minutes ago was disappearing behind dark clouds, the sky turning grey.
Everyone was silent, just waiting for the rain to start, and they didn't have to wait too long, because it began pouring.
"Well..." He turned to look at Gally as he spoke, picking up some more of his breakfast, "Now we gotta wait."
(M/n) remembered that Minho had once told him about the rainy days in the Glade, this was the first one he'd witnessed ever since he arrived, so he was kind of lost on what to do. Minho said that the Glade gets a little boring when it's raining, they have stuff to entertain themselves with while they wait, and enough shelter around to not be all of them packed inside the Homestead, but the majority had to wait until the rain passed to be able to work.
Runners can't go in the Maze or they have to come back as soon as it starts raining because the floor gets slippery. Builders can't work under the rain and have to watch over everything to make sure nothing starts to rot, and if it does, replace it immediately before it collapses. Slicers can still work if they want, but they complain about how staying in the Blood House for too long makes them nauseous.
The only ones that didn't mind the rainy days were the Track-hoes, the plants would get watered and they just had to check up on the sticks holding them up.
(M/n) was curious to see how everyone would keep themselves busy while they waited for the rain to leave.
//////
So far, everyone had chosen to stay inside in the dining area, playing board games or joking around and talking. They had a lighter lunch since they weren't working or using their energy, and now, (M/n) had excused himself to go stay in the living room as well.
The sound of rain was relaxing, and there were only minor leaks in the Homestead. He watched Dmitri and Brandon, walking around the place and taking notes of where the leaks were while placing down buckets to hold the water in.
Even if looking out the window was nice and all, he was getting just a little bit bored.
"Doll?" (M/n)'s whole body tensed when he heard the distinctive pet name and voice of Lucas. Slowly, he turned to look up at him, shifting on his spot on the couch, and he watched how the greenie smiled at him, inching closer to take the available spot next to him, "How have you been? We haven't been talking recently-"
Another loud thunder echoed making the greenie jump, slightly startled and scared. He instinctively latched onto (M/n)'s arm, which he didn't like, and he was subtly trying to pull away from his hold, but Lucas just held onto him tighter.
"Sorry, I'm... Scared of thunder..." He mumbled, almost unsure of his words, and (M/n) frowned, trying not to look like a complete asshole that didn't give a damn. But that was the issue, he did not care about Lucas.
He just cared about having something to do or somewhere else to go where there wasn't an annoying greenie poking around his business.
And it seemed like his thoughts were heard.
"(M/n)..." Gally came back inside the Homestead, his clothes wet from the rain, he had taken off his boots by the front door to not get the floor covered in mud, and he had walked in calling for him, when his green eyes landed on Lucas, specifically staring at his grip around (M/n)'s arm.
He frowned and took a few steps forward, feeling just a little satisfied when he saw the greenie back away immediately.
"Come with me," he reached his hand out and waited for (M/n) to grab it, who took it in less than five seconds, thrilled at the thought of getting away from Lucas, and spending time with Gally.
They went up the stairs and into his room, closing the door behind them.
Without saying a word, Gally began undressing and (M/n) forced himself to turn around, slightly flustered at the thought of Gally feeling comfortable enough around him to simply start taking his clothes off.
As he tried to distract himself from the shuffling sound of clothes behind him, his eyes landed on Gally's desk. He saw a few journals, some more worn than others, crumbled paper and some drawings placed around in a messy manner, but something else caught his eye.
It was a wooden statue. A really small and cute one.
(M/n) smiled and chuckled as he took a step and gently grabbed it. He spun it around in his fingers, observing the chunky-looking wooden bear he was holding.
Gally heard his quiet laughing and turned around, fully changed into dry clothes and walked up behind (M/n), looking over his shoulder what he was laughing at. And that's when he saw that he was holding one of his most recent wood sculptures. It had been a while since he had done one, so he made something simple. A tiny bear. He was happy that (M/n) liked it.
"You can keep it, if you want," he spoke in a whisper, not wanting to ruin the chill ambience between them. (M/n) glanced up at him, and Gally felt his breath getting stuck in his throat for a few seconds, realizing how close to each other they were standing, again.
He was definitely thinking about it. He wanted to do it... But he couldn't.
"Really?" (M/n)'s voice snapped him out of his conflicted thoughts and he nodded, knowing his voice would waver if he spoke, "Thank you, Gally, it's so cute."
Gally nodded and watched how (M/n) put the tiny bear in the pocket of his hoodie. And he decided to say it, otherwise, who else would appreciate his sculptures and compliment his abilities if not (M/n)?
"Here, I have more, take a look," they approached Gally's bed, and the blond reached for another crate he kept under his bed. He had a few of those full of things that had some kind of sentimental value, and it helped him keep going, now he had an excuse to show them to someone else.
And the thought scared him as much as it excited him.
//////
Unfortunately, the rain did not stop until really late in the evening, stopping a little while after the Maze Doors closed for another night. While everyone was bored out of their mind, but enjoying the day off they got, (M/n) and Gally were still locked up in his room.
(M/n) told him he would like to learn how to wood carve and Gally was eager to teach him, so far, he hadn't been able to do anything with much detail, but he was getting there. (M/n) was just enjoying spending time with Gally, away from the greenie, sometimes getting lost in the way he would excitedly explain him something, or how he would chuckle at his struggles before helping him.
He could never get tired of spending time with Gally, could he?
A knock on the door distracted them from their fun, and Gally stood up, walking to the door. Newt was standing there.
(M/n) noticed, of course he did. He saw the happy grin growing on Newt's lips when he came face to face with Gally, shifting slightly in place to support his weight on his right leg, his head tilting ever so slightly to the left.
"Fry told me to come get you because dinner is ready, Gally, and I wanted to talk to you about something..." Newt's eyes caught sight of (M/n) sitting on Gally's bed, fidgeting with a piece of wood in his hands.
And he saw it. He saw how Newt's expression soured, the smile fading to show a frown instead, and (M/n)'s body tensed. He thought he and Newt were okay after the whole incident the other day, what happened during the time they didn't talk?
"Talk about what, Newt?" Gally pressed, leaning against the door, but Newt simply shook his head and turned around.
"It's nothing, uh... Dinner's ready, guys," he muttered again, making a subtle motion with his hand to dismiss the matter, and turned around to leave.
(M/n) stood up from his bed and stood next to Gally. Both of them observed Newt's back as he left, carefully making his way down the stairs.
"Did I..." (M/n) frowned as he spoke, catching Gally's attention as they stepped outside of the room, "Did I do something to Newt?"
A quizzical expression came across his face, and he looked down at (M/n), noticing that he was confused as well as hurt, though he tried to hide it. Gally hummed and shook his head, "I don't think so. Why?"
(M/n) grimaced at his response, and began walking toward the stairs, "He looked at me and just... Got annoyed at me, I don't know what happened."
Gally blinked a few times, trailing behind (M/n), wondering to himself, what could've been bothering Newt? Could it be that he was tired of constantly hearing Gally babble about (M/n) when they were together?
He will have to ask him, and try to get him to tell him, but he doubted Newt would just openly talk about his feelings and what was bothering him.
///////
When Gally woke up, the first thing he did was wait for Newt to wake up, maybe ask him what was going on, but his approach might've been just a little too aggressive and oppressive because the last thing he got wasn't the truth out of him.
"Just drop it, nothing's wrong, now stop being a twat," and he walked away just like that.
Gally let out a heavy sigh and made his way into the dining area, getting his breakfast and dragging his feet to the usual table where (M/n) was already sitting at, drinking from his coffee cup and eating a muffin. He looked at it a little confused, and sat down in front of him.
"Where you did get that?" He asked (M/n) right as he took a bite of it. The (h/c) haired male chewed enough to be able to swallow it without choking.
"Jim is learning how to bake, and I was there to taste test," he responded with a grin, before taking a sip of his coffee, humming in content at its taste.
Gally grabbed his utensil and started eating his breakfast, "And how's the taste?" He was expecting a verbal answer from (M/n), caught off guard by his action.
"Wanna try?" He lifted the muffin to his face, and Gally looked at it for a few seconds, debating whether he should or not, but he trusted (M/n) to not give him anything that tasted bad, so he shrugged and leaned closer, taking a bite off of it.
"Hm," he hummed as he felt the dough coming apart in his mouth, just the right amount of sweetness where it was nice but not overwhelming and had some flavour, "This is pretty good."
(M/n) chuckled and smiled, nodding, "I know, right? He has a talent for baking."
While breakfast went by pretty fast, (M/n) was debating asking Gally if he could finally go back to work, seeing as yesterday the rain prevented him from doing so.
They walked outside, stepping on the dirt that had stiffened up again after a couple of hours, only a few spots had mud and there were a couple of puddles around the whole Glade. He trailed behind Gally, holding his hands behind his back.
"So... Can I work today?" The blond glanced over his shoulder at him and huffed, shaking his head.
"No," (M/n)'s mouth opened in shock at his quick answer, he didn't even hesitate.
He quickly jogged until he was walking right next to him, "But I- I feel fine, Gally, please, can I-?"
"Knowing you, you'll be overworking yourself, and I can't let that happen, so again, no." And he just left him standing there.
(M/n) frowned, feeling just a little mad at Gally's concern, but he also couldn't blame him for assuming he'll overwork himself... Because he was a hundred percent right. He sighed and crossed his arms. He wasn't gonna give up that easily, he wouldn't stop bothering him until he agreed to let him work.
//////
And (M/n) stayed true to his word.
While everyone around enjoyed how annoyed Gally was getting at him, he wasn't saying anything other than 'no' over and over again at (M/n)'s request. Something about seeing their Keeper in distress, caused by the newbie, made the majority of Builders smile or laugh, but they always made sure to look away, wipe the grin off their faces and continue working, or pretend like they were getting progress whenever Gally would glare at them.
They were aware of the punishment Gally could give to them and they did not want to mess with him. But they were having fun at his expense.
(M/n) knew he was being a cheeky bastard, asking over and over again 'can I work?' without giving Gally a break, but in the end, his hard work paid off.
"Okay! Fine, you win, you can work today, (M/n)," Gally said just a little exasperated at the (h/c) haired male, who let out a snicker and quiet yet victorious 'yes!'. Gally sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, "'Bout to give me a headache."
(M/n) apologized quietly and began making his way to the group doing the heaviest work, but he was held back by the collar of his shirt, preventing him from doing so and making him whine.
"Light work, (M/n), don't a slinthead, come on," he looked back at Gally, who had a smirk on his face, pretty sure this was payback for almost driving him nuts with his constant bothering.
//////
The work he was given was really the lightest. He had to bring ivy or rope over, sticks and even the toolbox. But other than that he had nothing to do, he was resting against a nearby tree and watching them do all the work he wanted to do.
He was getting bored out of his mind, so he decided to be nice and do something while everyone was busy working.
(M/n) began making his way to the Homestead and into the kitchen. He saw an empty crate by the door and he grabbed it, placing it on the counter before checking the cabinets and the fridges.
He carefully put six water bottles inside the crate, and a snack for each Builder. Dinner was still a few hours away and he figured they were thirsty and hungry, and he wanted to be helpful.
During his search for a snack or sweet everyone liked, he spotted the last sweet out of the bunch. He grabbed it and put it in his hoodie pocket instead of in the crate with the rest, he picked it up and made his way outside.
(M/n) walked toward the Builders, who looked at him from afar, and Alec was the first one to come up to him as he arrived.
"Where were you?" (M/n) smiled and looked at everyone, slightly swaying side to side and bringing attention to the crate in his hands.
"I went and got some water and snacks for you guys, figured you wanted some," everyone cheered and walked up to (M/n), thanking him and ruffling his hair, too happy about having a break to even feel bothered with having to share the bottles.
Alongside his hair being ruffled, he was hugged by the majority, while Mikah and Doug, leaned closer to kiss him, whether it'll be his head or cheek.
Gally stood a bit away, frowning about the affection (M/n) received from Mikah, unable to stop himself from feeling jealous. But the way (M/n) laughed the kiss off confused him, he acted as if getting kissed by the guy he liked was nothing... Unless he didn't like Mikah...?
But that didn't make sense, Gally was convinced it was the curly-haired blond (M/n) liked, he interacted with him differently from how he was with Minho, whom he simply acted as he did with everyone else he was friends with. So, of course, he was gonna be confused by how (M/n) shrugged it off and manoeuvred between everyone to make his way over to him.
The crate had found its way to the ground, placed on top of planks and (M/n) had grabbed a bottle. He stood in front of Gally and handed it to him.
"Unfortunately, they took all the snacks and sweets I brought," he mumbled glancing back at everyone else, Gally hummed and took a few gulps of his water, handing it to (M/n) who silently denied it, and kept watching how the rest enjoyed their food.
"Yeah, well, that's alright, I'll have to wait 'til dinner," he muttered, trying to ignore the subtle growling of his already empty stomach, but out of the corner of his eye, he noticed (M/n) reaching for something inside the pocket of his hoodie.
Gally turned to look at him, a subtle frown on his brow, and he watched him, attentively.
(M/n) completely avoided eye contact and silently handed Gally the sweet he hid. No way in hell he could forget this was Gally's favourite sweet.
"It was the last one left and I know you like it, so I took it with me," this wasn't that big of a deal, and it didn't have to mean something, yet somehow Gally couldn't shake the feeling of knowing that (M/n) remembered something he said in passing, just mentioning things to the air.
And here (M/n) was, bringing him the last share of it.
He could've kissed him, and he did. Just a small kiss on his forehead, "Thank you," he mumbled as he lingered close to (M/n).
Gally turned around as soon as he backed away, too embarrassed to look at (M/n), who was thankful he did, otherwise, he would've seen his reaction.
He covered his face with his hands, feeling the heat on his cheeks against his palms as his body got covered in goosebumps.
However, even if he avoided Gally seeing him, there was a small group of Builders who did see them, they witnessed their interaction from start to finish. Alec, Xan, Kurt, Mikah and Doug were frozen in place, eyes opened wide as they followed Gally with their sight before going back to stare at (M/n). The situation was... Unusual, but not unwelcomed.
"Should we help them?" Doug looked at the rest, who were now staring at him, with frowns on their brow as they looked at him, "Or maybe... Not?"
The first one to break his serious demeanour was Mikah, who wrapped his arm around Doug's shoulders and brought him closer, "You didn't have to ask, Doug."
//////
After managing to calm down, (M/n) looked around at everyone, and decided it had passed long enough, so he was gonna bring the crate back from where he took it. He greeted a few guys he came across with and hurried to make his way back to the Builders, but when he was already out of the Homestead, he made eye contact with Lucas. He was making his way over to the Homestead, or he, (M/n) wasn't sure and he didn't want to know.
But his opportunity to pretend like he hadn't seen him was gone when the greenie smiled at him, so he couldn't walk away as if nothing had happened because that would be rude.
He clenched his jaw for an instant and made his way to lean against one of the supports that held up the roof above the hammocks, and he waited, looking away awkwardly.
"Hey, doll," (M/n) released a quiet groan at his pet name, why does Lucas keep calling him like that? He didn't care and did not want to know either way, "We couldn't talk at all yesterday so I wanted to..."
Lucas continued to try and make small talk with him, not realizing, or more like not caring, that (M/n) wasn't responding or talking back. But (M/n) noticed how the greenie tried to get closer to him, which he didn't like, so he backed away from the support he was leaning on and took a few steps forward.
"Why don't we walk around the Glade?" It definitely wasn't a question, he needed to be in an open space where anyone could spot them easily.
Lucas was about to refute, say that he didn't want to, that he wanted to stay here and talk, but (M/n) already got a head start so he followed him.
He smiled and looked around at Glade, sighing at the gentle breeze moving their hair, "Oh, I see, you want everyone to know," that you're annoying? Absolutely, "Well, I'm sure Gally would not be happy once he finds out that we like each other, doll."
They what?
(M/n) immediately stopped walking and abruptly turned around, staring at Lucas with anger in his eyes and internally starting to freak out.
"We what, greenie?" Lucas chuckled and held (M/n)'s hands gently, acting as if it was the most obvious thing.
"I know you like me, you can't stop looking at me, doll," in what kind of world was this shank living in? It didn't make sense, "And I know you're scared of admitting it because Gally is so possessive and he can't take no for an answer, but you don't have to hide it anymore," (M/n) was frozen in place, shocked and disgusted.
This guy was delusional to an extreme he didn't even know was possible.
He assumed (M/n)'s feelings and read them as love ones? Instead of dislike? Nah, he had to say something to make Lucas understand how he felt about everything he just said and all of the things that had happened, "Greenie, I don't -"
"Just Lucas, doll, although... I wouldn't mind it if you call me yours," oh mother-, (M/n) had to swallow his spit quite harshly, otherwise he would've puked.
"Okay- no, listen, I... Greenie, I am a guy, and I feel like a guy, even though I... Look like a girl," Lucas' smile didn't falter, looking at him and slowly caressing his hand, "You're just confused, you don't like me, you're attracted to who you wished I was, alright? And I don't..." His hold was getting tighter, but he continued, he had to be clear with him or he'll never understand, "I don't see you that way either."
(M/n) wasn't expecting to hear Lucas laughing at his words, releasing his hand and reaching up to hold his face instead, staring into his (e/c) eyes with his sharp grey ones.
"No, doll, I'm not confused, you are, now is time to stop lying to me and to yourself," (M/n) felt his throat tight as his stomach churned, but Lucas was nowhere near done, "You can be the perfect wife if you live life the way you're supposed to, as a woman," it was safe to say he was speechless, his mind spinning, "You've been living with only guys for so long that you think you're one of them too."
(M/n) found it in himself to take a deep breath, an attempt at easing the rising anger inside him, who does he think he is, trying to tell him who he is and what he isn't?
Even though he really wanted to punch the greenie in the face, he remained relatively calm.
"No, Lucas, I am a man-" he had barely started arguing back when a deep frown appeared on Lucas' face, his hands lowering to hold his arms, just above his elbows, his hold rather tight and painful.
(M/n) held back a grunt of pain as his bones pressed against his ribs, and maintained their eye contact, despite the crazed look on Lucas' eyes, open wide as he glared at him.
"I could never like a weirdo, you hear me? I like the woman that I see in front of me, not a guy... I'm not gay, doll, that's disgusting," (M/n)'s teeth gritted, determined to punch some sense into him, just to get his point across.
But while he tried to behave and be civilized, he could hear how Lucas kept mumbling, mostly to himself but (M/n) could hear him due to their proximity.
"I won't forgive you if you keep pretending to be a guy just to fit in. You're wrong. Everyone that sees you as a guy is wrong. They're truly messed up for believing your nonsense, doll."
Well, that was all it took.
(M/n) lifted his arms as much as he could and pressed them against Lucas' chest, pushing him hard enough to make him trip and fall to the ground. He looked up at him with an angry look in his eyes, ready to yell at him for what he did, but (M/n) didn't give a damn about Lucas or his feelings.
"I am not interested in you like that, greenie, now shut the hell up!"
Thankfully, (M/n)'s outburst caught the attention of those nearby, including the Builders.
Gally was the first one to be next to him, instinctively holding (M/n)'s hand and standing in front of him, just guarding him slightly, "Back to work, greenie."
Lucas glared at both of them from the ground, but Gally took (M/n) away before he got to say anything to them.

My beautiful waifu Unicorn_bro123
Chapter 1
"Erm what the sigma!? I'm out of skibidi slicers!" Ellen cried in an outrage. She needed skibidi slicers to live, if she doesn't eat a certain amount of skibidi slicers everyday she will burst into smelly flames.
Ellen frantically runs to her door and forgets how to open it (like the idiot she is)
(20 minutes later)
"RAHHH RUH YUH GRRR RUAH!!" She charges through the door like the beautiful rabid animal she is. She rushes down the street on all fours, galloping. Her hooves patting against the pavement. She neighs like the beautiful horse- (a/n uhh uwu s-sorry that was just the Jimmy from mouthwashing in me) Okay Ellen is not a horse but she was still galloping like one.
Eventually she reaches The Crystal Forest of Enchanted Souls and Anal Sex. She looks around at the entrance of the forest. "Gahh my memaw used to tell me stories of this forest.." She shakes with fear. "Should I go in? I-its kinda giving 0% fluffy hair.. Well I am a sigma boy. BAKAAA!" She begins her journey. Prancing down the stone path.
The air was airy with hints of air. The leaves on the trees shook with the air. Ellen drank the air as she sped through the forest. Coming apon a fork in the road she began to sob uncontrollably because she was gonna die if she didn't get her skibidi slicers. Then as if the wind whispered to her she heard "Queen never cry 💜". Her face went stone and her tears dried up, she looked like the bold glamour filter. She was locked in and ready to mew. She then heard another whisper through the wind "Go left skank" so she went right, cause she was chronically stupid.
Going down the wrong- I mean RIGHT path (haha get it?) She galloped down the right path until she made it to a clearing, where she realized there was a village. She sprinted to the little village. "Does anypony know where I can get some skibidi slicers!?" The other ponies looked at her like she was psychotic. "SHHHHH" They said all in unison. But.. It was to late the sun exploded and dark clouds rolled in, enveloping the village in darkness. All the ponies were silent. And from the clouds I came. All over the land was covered in white- (just kidding)
A presence beamed down through the darkness and stood in front of Ellen. "I heard you were looking for skibidi slicers?" It was THE skibidi toilet. "Yes! I need skibidi slicers" Ellen said, hopeful he could help. "Yes, yes I know what you need my child but first.. You must complete four tasks.." Skibidi toilet spoke mysteriously. "Yes I'll do anything!" Ellen was overjoyed.
"First you must find the bucket.. It holds secrets that you'll never know.
Second you must bring me the purest mouthwash on earth..
Fall through a porta-potty
And finally you'll need to slay the super computer that controls the land. Then you may come back to me for your skibidi slicers."
"That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard I'm gonna die before I even do half of that." Ellen look angry. "Well maybe you should take the right path next time skank!"
To be continued....

How to Draw a Perfect Circle
By Terrance Hayes
I can imitate the spheres of the model’s body, her head,
Her mouth, the chin she rests at the bend of her elbow
But nothing tells me how to make the pupils spiral
From her gaze. Everything the eye sees enters a circle,
The world is connected to a circle: breath spools from the nostrils
And any love to be open becomes an O. The shape inside the circle
Is a circle, the egg fallen outside the nest the serpent circles
Rests in the serpent’s gaze the way my gaze rests on the model.
In a blind contour drawing the eye tracks the subject
Without observing what the hand is doing. Everything is connected
By a line curling and canceling itself like the shape of a snake
Swallowing its own decadent tail or a mind that means to destroy itself,
A man circling a railway underpass before attacking a policeman.
To draw the model’s nipples I have to let myself be carried away.
I love all the parts of the body. There are as many curves
As there are jewels of matrimony, as many whirls as there are teeth
In the mouth of the future: the mute pearls a bride wears to her wedding,
The sleeping ovaries like the heads of riders bunched in a tunnel.
The doors of the subway car imitate an O opening and closing,
In the blood the O spirals its helix of defects, genetic shadows,
But there are no instructions for identifying loved ones who go crazy.
When one morning a black man stabs a black transit cop in the face
And the cop, bleeding from his eye, kills the assailant, no one traveling
To the subway sees it quickly enough to make a camera phone witness.
The scene must be carried on the tongue, it must be carried
On the news into the future where it will distract the eyes working
Lines into paper. This is what blind contour drawing conjures in me.
At the center of God looms an O, the devil believes justice is shaped
Like a zero, a militant helmet or war drum, a fist or gun barrel,
A barrel of ruined eggs or skulls. To lift anything from a field
The lifter bends like a broken O. The weight of the body
Lowered into a hole can make anyone say Oh: the onlookers,
The mother, the brothers and sisters. Omen begins with an O.
When I looked into my past I saw the boy I had not seen in years
Do a standing backflip so daring the onlookers called him crazy.
I did not see a moon as white as an onion but I saw a paper plate
Upon which the boy held a plastic knife and sopping meat.
An assailant is a man with history. His mother struggles
To cut an onion preparing a meal to be served after the funeral.
The onion is the best symbol of the O. Sliced, a volatile gas stings
The slicer’s eyes like a punishment clouding them until they see
What someone trapped beneath a lid of water sees:
A soft-edged world, a blur of blooms holding a coffin afloat.
The onion is pungent, its scent infects the air with sadness,
All the pallbearers smell it. The mourners watch each other,
They watch the pastor’s ambivalence, they wait for the doors to open,
They wait for the appearance of the wounded one-eyed victim
And his advocates, strangers who do not consider the assailant’s funeral
Appeasement. Before that day the officer had never fired his gun
In the line of duty. He was chatting with a cabdriver
Beneath the tracks when my cousin circled him holding a knife.
The wound caused no brain damage though his eyeball was severed.
I am not sure how a man with no eye weeps. In the Odyssey
Pink water descends the Cyclops’s cratered face after Odysseus
Drives a burning log into it. Anyone could do it. Anyone could
Begin the day with his eyes and end it blind or deceased,
Anyone could lose his mind or his vision. When I go crazy
I am afraid I will walk the streets naked, I am afraid I will shout
Every fucked up thing that troubles or enchants me, I will try to murder
Or make love to everybody before the police handcuff or murder me.
Though the bullet exits a perfect hole it does not leave perfect holes
In the body. A wound is a cell and portal. Without it the blood runs
With no outlet. It is possible to draw handcuffs using loops
Shaped like the symbol for infinity, from the Latin infinitas
Meaning unboundedness. The way you get to anything
Is context. In a blind contour it is not possible to give your subject
A disconnected gaze. Separated from the hand the artist’s eye
Begins its own journey. It could have been the same for the Cyclops,
A giant whose gouged eye socket was so large a whole onion
Could fit into it. Separated from the body the eye begins
Its own journey. The world comes full circle: the hours, the harvests,
When the part of the body that holds the soul is finally decomposed
It becomes a circle, a hole that holds everything: blemish, cell,
Womb, parts of the body no one can see. I watched the model
Pull a button loose on her jeans and step out of them
As one might out of a hole in a blue valley, a sea. I found myself
In the dark, I found myself entering her body like a delicate shell
Or soft pill, like this curved thumb of mine against her lips.
You must look without looking to make the perfect circle.
The line, the mind must be a blind continuous liquid
Until the drawing is complete.

Top 10 Power BI terms Every New User should know
Tumblr media
If you are just getting started with Power BI, understanding the key terms will help you navigate the platform more effectively. Here are the top 10 Power BI terms every new user should know:
1) Dataset
A dataset in Power BI refers to information that has been imported from Excel, SQL or cloud services. Reports and dashboards can only be created by first having the necessary datasets. They save everything, including the raw data and the designs, relationships, measures and calculated columns we’ve built in Power BI. Creating, handling and updating datasets are basic skills needed because data push in analytics, give instant business insights and bind different data sources.
2) Report
A Power BI report is made up of charts, graphs and tables, all built from data in a dataset. With reports, we have an interactive tool to explore your notes, click deeper and review additional information. Every report page is designed to communicate a certain story or point out a specific part of your data. To ensure your organization makes good decisions, it helps to know how to create and customize reports.
3) Dashboard
The dashboard in Power BI are a grouping of visual components and metrics. It gives a general and joined-up look at important observations, unlike reports that just provide a detailed view of each report or group of data. They offer business leaders an easy way to monitor and check business KPIs at any time. Managers and executives benefit from dashboards, since they can get the needed performance updates without going through many detailed reports.
4) Visualization
A visualization in Power BI presents the data using images. It is sometimes known as a visual or chart. Bar charts, pie charts, line graphs, maps, tables and similar options are part of visualizations. They change difficult-to-read information into clear graphics that can show trends, unusual values and details quickly. With Power BI, users have many ways to change how the visualizations look for their organization. To make exciting reports and dashboards, we should learn to use visualizations well.
5) Measure
In Power BI, measures are calculations designed to study data, and we can build them using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). Unlike regular columns, measures can refresh their values at any time based on reports or what a user selects. It is easy to find the total, average, ratio, percentage and complex groups with measures. Working on efficient measures helps we turn your data into useful insights and boosts your analytical skills within Power BI.
6) Calculated Column
To create a calculated column, we add a DAX formula to some input fields in your data. We can add new information to your data using calculated columns such as grouping, marking special items or defining values for ourselves. Unlike measures, these columns are evaluated when the data refreshes rather than at query time. Having calculated columns in our data model ensures that your reports become richer and better fit your company’s specific needs.
7) Filter
We can narrow the data in your charts and graphs using filters in Power BI. They can be used at the report, page or graphical levels. Using filters, we can narrow down your analysis to a particular time, type or area of the business. Additional options available include slicers, filters for dates and filters for moving down to the next page. Adding the right filters makes your reports more relevant, so stakeholders can easily spot the main insights.
8) Data Model
Any Power BI project depends on a solid data model as its core structure. It shows the connections between data tables by using relationships, Primary Keys and Foreign Keys. In addition, the data model has calculated columns, measures and hierarchies to organize your data for use properly.
With a proper data model in place, our analysis results are correct, queries are fast, and your visualizations are easy to interact with. To create stable and scalable Power BI projects, one must learn about modelling.
9) DAX is Data Analysis Expressions
Power BI provides DAX as a language for creating your calculations in measures, calculated columns and tables. DAX has functions, operators and values that make it possible to create advanced rules for a business.
When we master DAX, we can use analytics for many purposes, including complex grouping, analyzing time and transforming the data. Knowing the basics of DAX will help new Power BI users make the most of the product’s reporting capabilities.
10) Power Query
The purpose of Power Query is to prepare your data for use in Power BI. Migrating from Tableau Public to Power BI Service: Key Considerations
The shift from Tableau Public to the Power BI Service is becoming increasingly common as organizations seek more robust data integration, governance, and scalability. While Tableau Public offers a great starting point for data visualization enthusiasts, it lacks the enterprise-grade features that many teams and businesses require as they grow. If you're considering making the leap to Power BI Service, it’s essential to understand the key factors that will ensure a successful and smooth migration.
1. Understand the Limitations of Tableau Public
Tableau Public is a free platform, which comes with limitations around data privacy, publishing, and collaboration. All dashboards are public, meaning anyone can access them, which isn’t viable for sensitive business data. Moreover, version control and integration with broader business systems are limited. Power BI Service, by contrast, is designed for secure, organization-wide deployment with deeper integration into Microsoft 365, Azure, and Teams.
2. Reevaluate Your Data Sources
Power BI Service supports a wide range of data connectors—both on-premises and cloud-based—making it ideal for enterprise-level reporting. Before migrating, review all data sources connected to your Tableau Public dashboards. Some of these sources might need reformatting, reconfiguration, or more secure access protocols when setting up in Power BI.
3. Redesign Dashboards with Power BI Best Practices
Tableau and Power BI have fundamentally different approaches to data modeling and visualization. A one-to-one dashboard migration is rarely optimal. Instead, take this opportunity to redesign and optimize your dashboards using Power BI best practices, including:
Efficient data models with star schemas
DAX for advanced calculations
Use of slicers, filters, and drill-through features
Migration isn’t just a technical process—it’s a chance to improve the clarity and performance of your reports.
4. Leverage Power BI's Sharing and Collaboration Features
Unlike Tableau Public, where dashboards are shared via public URLs, Power BI Service offers robust sharing controls. Reports can be distributed securely within your organization, embedded in Microsoft Teams, or published to external stakeholders with proper governance. Additionally, role-level security in Power BI ensures that users only see data relevant to them.
5. Use a Dedicated Migration Tool
Manual migration from Tableau Public to Power BI can be time-consuming and error-prone. At OfficeSolution, we offer Pulse Convert, a smart migration tool that helps you automatically map Tableau visuals, extract logic, and rebuild equivalent structures in Power BI. This reduces migration time, eliminates redundancy, and ensures higher fidelity in visual and data translation.
Final Thoughts
Migrating from Tableau Public to Power BI Service is a strategic move that opens doors to advanced analytics, secure collaboration, and seamless integration across your organization’s digital ecosystem. However, it's not a simple copy-and-paste exercise. It requires thoughtful planning, redesign, and the right tools.
At https://tableautopowerbimigration.com, OfficeSolution helps you navigate the migration process efficiently. With expert support and automated tooling like Pulse Convert, your journey from Tableau to Power BI can be smoother, smarter, and more impactful.
