~~~~*~~~*~~*~*~~*~~~*~~~~
I went to Furality Luma Festival in vrchat and spent most of the mini-con in the event space on the highest cliff, sitting in the water watching performances beside my partner. I finally picked up the [irl] oil paint again, but this time I tried cold wax technique with some Dorlands I'd acquired recently. It costs spoons to mix up the wax and oil paint, but it's like working with buttercream frosting, really tactile! I really want to loosen up and say more with less/I'm prone to overworking, so this was all done with a palette knife. My intention was to paint the figures of our avatars in there (based on vrc photo refs I snapped) but I chickened out bc I like this painting where it is. Then I realized that I have to learn how to photograph this stuff, a whole new skillset. >>
as though I haven't also been diverting energy to learning blender and unity and now substance painter so i can be a funny animal in virtual reality.
Why cold wax is the perfect alternative to hot wax
Tumblr media
Waxing is a popular hair removal method that has been used for centuries. However, many people find traditional hot wax uncomfortable, messy, and time-consuming. That's why cold wax is quickly becoming a popular alternative. Cold wax is a type of wax that is applied at room temperature, making it a gentler and more convenient option for hair removal. In this post, we'll explore why cold wax is the perfect alternative to hot wax.
Gentle on the skin: Cold wax is made from natural ingredients such as sugar, lemon, and honey, making it gentle on the skin. Unlike hot wax, cold wax does not need to be heated, which reduces the risk of skin irritation and discomfort. This makes it an ideal option for people with sensitive skin or who are prone to skin reactions.
Convenient: Cold wax is easy to use and can be applied quickly and efficiently. It is also mess-free and can be removed easily with a cloth strip. This makes it a convenient option for those who are short on time or for those who prefer a no-fuss hair removal method.
Effective: Cold wax is just as effective as hot wax, removing hair from the roots for a smooth and silky finish. Cold wax also exfoliates the skin, leaving it soft and nourished.
Cost-effective: Cold wax is typically more affordable than hot wax and can be used at home, reducing the cost of frequent salon visits.
Eco-friendly: Cold wax is typically made from natural ingredients and does not require heat, making it a more environmentally friendly option than hot wax.
Customizable: Cold wax can be customized by adding essential oils or other natural ingredients to suit your specific skin needs. For example, you can add lavender oil for a calming effect or tea tree oil for its antiseptic properties.
Long-lasting results: Cold wax provides long-lasting results, just like hot wax. The hair will grow back gradually, and you can repeat the process whenever necessary.
Painless: Many people find hot wax painful, especially when applied to sensitive areas such as the bikini line. Cold wax, on the other hand, is much gentler and is less likely to cause pain or discomfort.
No risk of burning: Hot wax can cause burning if it is overheated, but this is not a concern with cold wax. Cold wax is applied at room temperature, reducing the risk of burning or skin irritation.
Versatile: Cold wax can be used on all body parts, including the face, legs, arms, back, and even the bikini area. It is a versatile option that can meet all of your hair removal needs.
The Perfect Cold Wax Home Remedy
Cold wax is a gentle and effective alternative to traditional hot wax. It is made from natural ingredients such as sugar, lemon, and honey, making it a great choice for those with sensitive skin or who are prone to skin reactions. It is also convenient, cost-effective, and eco-friendly, making it an ideal choice for those who want to save money and reduce their carbon footprint.
Making your own cold wax is easy and can be done with just a few simple ingredients. Here is the perfect cold wax home remedy that you can make in the comfort of your own home.
Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons honey
1-2 drops of essential oil (optional)
Instructions:
Combine the sugar, lemon juice, and honey in a saucepan over low heat. Stir continuously until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for 5-10 minutes.
If desired, add a few drops of essential oil, such as lavender or tea tree oil, for added benefits.
Spread the mixture on the area to be waxed and place a cloth strip over it. Rub the cloth strip in the opposite direction of hair growth and then quickly pull it off in the direction of hair growth.
Repeat the process until all the hair has been removed.
Use a damp cloth to remove any residual wax and then moisturize the skin with a gentle lotion or oil.
By making your own cold wax, you can save money and reduce your carbon footprint while enjoying all the benefits of this gentle and effective hair removal method.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, cold wax is a great alternative to hot wax for those who are looking for a gentler, more convenient, and effective hair removal method. Whether you have sensitive skin, are looking for a cost-effective option, or simply prefer a gentler approach, cold wax is a great choice. So, why not give it a try and experience the benefits for yourself?
Annoying that people say that Leon’s entire character is police and military propaganda when his entire character arc revolves around how the greed of the few big bosses at Umbrella and the corruption of the US government ruined his life
No because imagine the Sinclair brother's not use to affection and being pampered and being a mess about it.
♡♡♡
Tumblr media
Imagine Vincent never receiving any nurturing physical touch since Trudy died. Covering his face completely as a man instead of a partial mask he had as a child. Always standoffish to others and deep diving in his work to ignore anything outside completing the town. Throwing his life away to think himself even more a thing than man that didn't deserve love....Absolutely ready to cry when his s/o brushes his hair and peppers his imperfect face in kisses. When they kiss him when his mask falls off. When they playfight with him and treat him like a normal human being instead of an ugly emotionless thing his parents and society told him he was and even his twin echoed at times. Someone didn't think he was a freak. Someone loved him. Someone gave him affection without fear and he's almost got happy tears in his eye over it.
Tumblr media
Imagine Bo never receiving much physical affection growing up as the burden child; acting like he didn't need something so weak anyways because it was better than hurting so bad from not being wanted. Not having many partners with his sole purpose being Ambrose and when he did get a person they were tied up and unwilling and didn't touch him unless instructed because it was safer for him emotionally that way to be in control. They can't run away or hurt you that way... He's for once speechless over his s/o offering a backrub after he worked so hard on something yet they want nothing in return. Or they absent-mindedly comb their fingers through his hair while watching tv not minding the scar under his crown of his hair. Not minding the scars on his wrist and kissing them when he got too deep in thoughts of the past. The few reminders he was as much a freak as his brother and they didn't care. Or they hug him from behind when he's not busy just because or make him lunch with a note because they thought of him...Without force, someone thought of him. How speechless he is at the butterflies he feels that he doesn't know what to do. Someone actually thought kindly of him without judging him or force.
Tumblr media
Imagine Lester as the forgotten youngest that just wants so badly to be family and included yet also feels distant from his brothers and his parents and Mama's 'wish' to restore the town. Living a lonely life as a roadkill clean up man living alone somewhere in the woods away from Ambrose because of people judging his grimy appearance, his job, his humor and of course what his family does...Blushing and smiling a love struck wobbly grin when his s/o displays interest in him and his work. Chuckling and blushing when they hug him despite the smell or help wash him up when he gets home after a long day. Washing his face and hair and body tenderly while asking about his day. Showing interest. Someone cares enough to know about him or pay attention to him. Smitten when they cuddle him and he hugs them tight soaking in these cuddles like they'll be taken from him.
Bill hates being cold. And unfortunately as a human, it's a lot easier to be cold than it was before. He's a being of pure energy, he's not meant to have so little in him that he can feel its absence.
He would rather set himself on fire, put his hand on a hot stove, boil himself alive, anything to not be cold, because being cold feels a bit too much like being dead.
ouugh... old, jaded tang bo who has locked himself up into his own corner of the family home. children of the tang family grew up with warnings to not go anywhere near his dwelling
this tang bo he saw how his family did nothing to help while his hyung-nim's sect was burnt down, how their sacrifice was rewritten and discarded by the ten great sects. in the position he was in, i actually think he would have gone mad with anger.... only when chung myung came back does he start going out again but he still treats everyone else coldly
(along with his smoking habit, he's also picked up another: constantly polishing that red plum blossom hair pin of his. its tips are chipped and the paint has faded. however, considering how old it was, it's a testament to its owner's reverent care that it can still serve its purpose)
(chung myung buys him a new one, but tang bo only does the same thing to the second)
UR SOO NUTS SAYING THIS TO MEEEEEE i literally think about this all thee fucking time ohh my days theres such a stark difference between a man mentally reincarnated just moments after his death, thrust into a new world with no time to adjust or settle vs a man who survived his death and had to live every single one of those long aching days alone and weary and aging and never finding a way to move on.. a man who lost everything and nothing, forming new bad habits to break the old, lighting incense for new tablets he can hardly stand to look at, locking himself away and becoming his families most revered recluse…
the worst part of tang bo survives the war au is that, like chung myung, he never expected for anyone to suddenly return from the dead for him (reincarnation is not real of course), except if he did, once, entertain the idea when he was still young and mourning and grieving and in the throes of denial, that desperate spark would have thoroughly been squashed as the days turned to months turned to years turned to decades turned to centuries and nobody came for him
