I know for a fact Eddie loves Steve's chest hair. He loves the way it scratches his face when he sleeps on his chest and the way it sometimes peaks out the top of shirts. So when Steve, thinking it's time for a change, decides to shave his chest hair, oh poor Eddie practically goes into mourning. He strokes Steve's now very smooth chest and pretends to sob dramatically and ignores poor Steve who is regretting every life choice that led him here. "It'll grow back, dude." Why is it called a "common cold" when this is the worst hell I've experienced in my life. My nose and throat are burning like I snorted chili powder and gargled wasabi. My head feels like someone is inflating it with a tire pump and it's pushing all my brains out through my nose. This is worse than when I've had COVID, strep, flu, or pneumonia. What kind of hell are they putting in colds these days

It’s very awesome how as capitalism keeps pushing to squeeze as much profit out of everything, the goods being sold become worse in quality AND more abstract.

Wendy’s plans on surge pricing their food next year. Food. You aren’t paying for meat and bread, you’re paying for the opportunity—the LUXURY—of being able to buy a fast food meal. It doesn’t cost them more to make a sandwich at 12pm vs 2pm, but it doesn’t matter. All that matters is squeezing every last cent from you by finding the maximum price you’d pay, then asking for a bit more.

What constitutes a higher demand to cause a price surge? Is it simply the time of day? Does it depend on how many other fast food places are nearby? Could surge pricing be used to prey on food insecurity or areas that are already food deserts? How many other chains would adopt surge pricing if it proves profitable? Could grocery stores? How would customers be expected to set a household budget if items become more divorced from their actual worth, more unpredictable?

Never mind, I forgot you’re supposed to just eat cereal for dinner instead! That's a really good solution for not going hungry or broke and doesn't have surge pricing (for now). Post canceled, we're good. 👍
