Finally started watching Netflix's "My Life with the Walter Boys" and I'm enjoying it so much already!!! 😀 This feels like a teen show from when I was young and totally something I'd watch anyway. LOL Of course when it comes to the triangle I'm more about Jackie with Cole but I like Alex too. Also this is so weird as I keep seeing similarities between the Walter family and that of the Von Erichs especially after seeing "The Iron Claw" before watching this. I know it seems random but not really as a lot of the brothers match up with them and not only how they were portrayed in the movie but the show even has more in common with their real life selves as well that it feels like a modern day AU fic and the girl being in a love triangle with David and Kerry and the family business was just the ranch and not that and wrestling. LOL Obviously the oldest Will is a lot like Kevin but Cole is actually a mix of the brothers (like Kevin he was supposed to be a football player but the injury stopped him playing so he's trying to figure out what to do with his life, like David he's blonde and more attentive than he seems and has a persona in front of others and with his horses is his true self, and like Kerry seems like the "bad boy" that all the girls love but it's an act and he's more affected by things than he shows) and then there's Alex the one who's more sensitive and nerdy and nice at first but also jealous of his older brother. And they got a brother who wants to be a musician, the baby brother is there, and the parents are actually more attentive and they have a little sister and cousins living with them too. The ranch looks amazing too and weirdly just makes sense I'd start watching this after watching that movie and seeing a similar family that takes in Jackie when she needs them after her own tragedy. So I'm excited to finish s1 and so happy it's already been renewed for s2.

selina’s Called to silent hill because she’s never dealt with her trauma to do with her father(s). the predominate focus is the abuse she and her mother suffered at the hands of her father and it reflects on her hellish inner world. there’s a distinctly stuffy feeling to her portion of this dark diorama, makes every room feel like opening the windows would never let the breeze in. the way light filters in is dead and halogen-yellow. there are no dust motes in the air. the walls are imperceptible between a brown and a sallow nicotine shade.

the doors have no locks and never fully close. they always seem to open open, even when the door is fully shut. there is an imperceptible screaming in the other room that cannot be originated. it has no body, no form, just an all-encompassing shriek. the couch seems to almost glow with a spotlight above it, and if you approach, a slow puddle of pooling red will edge up to the soles of your shoes. it comes from beneath the couch, spreads across the floor... impossibly. and then you blink and there’s nothing beneath your feet. the television in front of you, looming large and bright and tubular, screams with static that’s soundless. but you feel it in your ears. (selina’s tinnitus compounds exponentially.)

the bathroom’s tub is stained with rust and then upon closer inspection is drenched in continuous coats of crimson. it bubbles up from the drain. the door with no lock locks. you’re told this — your brain seems to insist that door didn’t have a lock. the lights flicker like a flashbulb and the gurgling rising like a geyser from the bathtub. —when the lights come back, slamming you to reality, the tub is empty, and you’re sweating with the force of onset panic. selina’s makeup runs when she thumbs the tears from her eyes, smears across her cheeks. her breath shakes.

the sign had said welcome to silent hill. she doesn’t remember how she got here. (she had been on the way back from a barn she’d laid low in. the trail had led her here — her suit’s stuffed in a duffel strapped across her chest, though she’s unarmed saved for her whip, and here she feels like that will do nothing for her.) she hadn’t felt her feet move so much as they took her swiftly forward. her heels clicked with every step.

she finds her childhood apartment installed into the woodside apartments, and stumbles into it headfirst to escape some formless flesh-mass she cannot describe.

she’s out of service. she checks her phone.

beneath her, the floor, the couch, begins to bleed.

anyway might try to power through this for a big because i had some more hunger thoughts like its possession of pax makes him both poisonous and venomous as hunger demons manufacture a paralytic toxin that’s present within their ichor. alters the host’s physiology in a way that their blood, too, creates it. some teeth have a hollow-like tube like structure running through them that injects this toxin ( similar to snakes ), while the rest of the teeth get a coating of it secreted from small pits on the gum-line. if you see hungers licking their claws, yes, it’s cleaning off the gore, viscera & blood, but it’s also recoating them with said toxin :) this also makes hungers & their hosts immune to any poison
