"Capitalism and the Production of Specialty Goods: An Exploration of Meeting Niche Market Demand"
When it comes to meeting the needs of niche markets, capitalism is often seen as a system that may not be well-suited to accommodate specialized or unusual consumer interests. This is because capitalism is driven by the pursuit of profit, which means that companies may be less likely to invest in producing products for small or specialized markets. However, the concept of the "blue ocean strategy" suggests that it is possible for companies to create new market spaces and capture untapped demand by focusing on innovation and differentiation. This approach involves identifying unserved or underserved market segments and developing new products or services to meet their needs. In the case of individuals with unusual compulsions, such as a strong desire to lick boots, a company that is able to successfully identify and target this market segment could potentially create a "blue ocean" of untapped demand and capture a significant share of this niche market. While it may be challenging for a company to successfully execute a blue ocean strategy and meet the needs of this specialized market, it is possible that capitalism, with its focus on innovation and competition, could provide the best conditions for creating products for individuals with unusual compulsions.
In addition to the blue ocean strategy, there are other factors that contribute to creating conditions that allow for greater differentiation of products within the marketplace. Lowering the barriers of entry into a market, voluntary association, and voluntary exchanges all play a role in promoting competition and innovation. When barriers to entry are low, it is easier for new companies to enter the market and offer new and innovative products, which can increase competition and lead to a greater variety of options for consumers. Voluntary association, or the ability of individuals and businesses to freely associate and engage in economic activity, also promotes competition and innovation by allowing companies to form partnerships and collaborate to bring new products and ideas to the market. Finally, voluntary exchanges, or the ability of individuals and businesses to freely enter into economic transactions, give consumers the power to choose which products they wish to purchase, which can incentivize companies to create new and differentiated products in order to appeal to consumer demand. All of these factors work together to create the conditions that allow for greater differentiation of products within the marketplace.
In conclusion, it is important to recognize that capitalism, while driven by the pursuit of profit, can provide the conditions that allow for companies to successfully meet the needs of niche markets. By identifying and targeting specialized market segments and utilizing strategies such as the blue ocean strategy and by taking advantage of factors that promote competition and innovation, such as lowering barriers to entry, voluntary association, and voluntary exchanges, companies may be able to capture a significant share of these markets and meet the needs of consumers with unusual interests. While it may be challenging for companies to successfully execute a blue ocean strategy and meet the needs of niche markets, it is possible for companies to do so within a capitalist system. Overall, capitalism can create the conditions that allow for the successful production of specialty goods for niche markets, even if it is not explicitly designed to accommodate or support these markets.

I feel like most people feel that Anne is too popular and "overrated" so they try to bring her down and say something among the lines "COA was amazing too11!!!" (COA has also been seen as a fucking saint since forever while Anne has been what? seen as the devil up until recently) and say that the other wives deserve attention and that anne wasn't all that.
I mean, it's not very palatable to refer to a woman that was judicially murdered as "overrated", regardless of your personal feelings about whether or not she was a "bad" or "good" person, so I feel like the more common approach now is just to say all her fans are dumb basic bitches (while continuing to rely on all their content for sources and reblog/RT their edits/posts, follow all their accounts.... hmmmmmmm), ‘Anne girlies’ (because you’re stupid, you must be women! I do not personally identity as a woman, and actually, a lot of Anne Boleyn stans, particularly on Instagram, are gay men, but, anyways...)
Depends on your definition of "recent", she received the romantic heroine edit in the last century, some versions of her within that mold are more morally ambiguous than others. But definitely people insist that she was evil, up to very recently, generally by misrepresenting her opponents "Queen Anne also mercilessly bullied the little Princess Mary" (even if you believe this, Mary was an adult when Anne was queen, not only by the standards of their time but our own).
With wanting to see their own favorite people featured in more things, I do get it, but I don't get seeing it like attention is a scarce resource (ie, this series about Anne Boleyn takes AWAY something from my fave, is almost the attitude, or means a project I would want won't be made...it is almost like their fave is a living person that can feel neglected?). People pay attention to what they want to pay attention to, you can't force it. The more Tudor media you consume, the more will be made, and you don't have any control what the next one will be about. At a certain point, if it's that serious, idk, boycott Netflix, or something?

Stand Out From The Competition: Brand Positioning Strategies
Tumblr media
Discover key brand positioning strategies to help your brand stand out from the competition and attract more customers.
Understanding Your Competition
Understanding your competition is essential for setting your brand apart in the market. By analysing your competitors, you can gain valuable insights into their strengths, weaknesses, and strategies. This information can help you identify gaps in the market that your brand can fill. Additionally, understanding your competition allows you to differentiate your brand by offering unique products, services, or experiences that set you apart from similar businesses.
To understand your competition, conduct thorough market research. Identify who your direct and indirect competitors are and analyze their products, pricing, marketing strategies, target audience, and brand positioning. This analysis will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape in which your brand operates.
Identifying Your Unique Selling Proposition
Identifying your unique selling proposition (USP) is crucial for setting your brand apart from the competition. Your USP is what makes your brand different, special, and valuable to your target audience. It is the unique combination of factors that differentiate your brand and make it the best choice for your customers.
To identify your USP, consider the following questions:
- What unique features or benefits does your product or service offer?
- What problems does your brand solve that others don't?
- What makes your brand more desirable or attractive to your target audience?
By answering these questions, you can uncover your brand's unique strengths and advantages. Use this information to craft a compelling USP that clearly communicates why your brand is the best choice for your customers.
Creating a Strong Brand Identity
Creating a strong brand identity is essential for standing out from the competition. Your brand identity is the perception and image that your brand projects to the world. It encompasses your brand's personality, values, mission, visual elements, and communication style.
To create a strong brand identity, start by defining your brand's core values and mission. This will guide your brand's actions and behaviors, helping you build a consistent and authentic identity. Next, develop a visually appealing and memorable brand logo, color palette, typography, and other design elements that align with your brand's personality and appeal to your target audience.
Consistency is key when it comes to brand identity. Ensure that your brand's messaging, tone of voice, and visual elements are consistent across all touchpoints, including your website, social media profiles, packaging, and advertising materials. This consistency will help your brand become recognizable and memorable to your audience.
Targeting the Right Audience
Targeting the right audience is crucial for positioning your brand effectively. By understanding your target audience's needs, preferences, and behaviors, you can tailor your brand's messaging and offerings to resonate with them.
Start by creating detailed buyer personas that represent your ideal customers. Consider factors such as demographics, psychographics, interests, pain points, and purchasing behaviors. Use market research, surveys, and customer feedback to gather insights about your target audience.
Once you have a clear understanding of your target audience, develop marketing strategies that specifically target and appeal to them. This may include creating personalized content, using targeted advertising campaigns, and leveraging social media platforms where your audience is most active. By targeting the right audience, your brand can effectively communicate its value and connect with potential customers.
Consistent Brand Messaging Across All Channels
Maintaining consistent brand messaging across all channels is essential for establishing a strong and cohesive brand identity. Consistency in messaging helps build trust and credibility with your audience and reinforces your brand's unique positioning.
To ensure consistent brand messaging, start by defining your brand's key messages. These messages should align with your brand's values, mission, and unique selling proposition. Clearly articulate what your brand stands for, what it offers, and why it is the best choice for your target audience.
Once you have defined your key messages, ensure that they are consistently communicated across all marketing channels. This includes your website, social media platforms, email marketing campaigns, advertisements, and any other communication channels you use. Use the same tone of voice, language, and key phrases to reinforce your brand's identity and make it easily recognizable to your audience.
Consistent brand messaging helps create a unified brand experience for your customers and reinforces your brand's positioning in the market. It ensures that your audience receives a cohesive and compelling message, no matter where they interact with your brand.

I honesty don't think it matters much in current times that men have influence over the beauty industry when feminists will spew repetitive commentary about 'patriarchal beauty standards' like broken records yet will perpetrate and valorize the exact same beauty standards that they critique.
Overthrowing beauty standards and getting rid of them entirely IMO is the easiest thing to "overthrow" systematically because all it takes is simply not buying beauty products and not practicing in unnecessary beauty rituals, and POOF! it can all crumble but that's not what's happening. Instead you see the most self-aware choice feminists give lip-service in support of women who don't want to be forced to wear makeup or shave or feel insecure about their looks. It's all "all women are beautiful" and "no women should be bullied for having body hair or being GNC" and they might have good intentions but at the end of the day as long as beauty is social currency for women (femininity in all forms) then that becomes a baseline for ALL women and ALL women will naturally have the incentive to try to pursue whatever is the current beauty standard. And in return those women who opt out femininity are seen as 'lesser' women who get demoted and ignored by society, and so all women, both GNC and GC who get mistreated for being women no matter what, will be inclined to at least gain something (social currency) by being 'pretty' and try to capitalize on that if they are going to be mistreated anyways.
I think it's a common misconception around choice feminists (judging by the way they tackle beauty standards) that women's insecurity are a personal self-inflicted, self-esteem problem and not one where women subconsciously know they are missing out on something (social currency) is they don't participate in it. Choice feminism somehow strangely recognized that beauty standards as systematic issue but doesn't handle it a one, in fact they go the hyper-individualistic route where every women simply needs to "be confident" (where some women's confidence comes from getting plastic surgeries to be their ideal self :/ ), and everything is solved. They focus more on individual feelings and not with the fact that beauty is more an accomplishment and experience that women are supposed to valorize in order to be successful in life, as if it's something to put on a resume.
So, as long as women participate and "gain" something from being beautiful, even if they are victims themselves of beauty standards, words and support for gender non-conforming women fall flat. When women are not valued for existing in their natural form and there is always an "improved", altered version of a women that they can be according to society (that doesn't exist for men at all), it no longer becomes a simple debate about choices and how men control women's appearances or not but one of ALWAYS feeling like your natural self as a women isn't good enough and you have to keep up with women who "choose" to do so and "gain" the most from it. Men's opinions and actions become insignificant here.

(tl;dr please feel free to reach out to me if you ever want to talk + you can ask if i have any other social platform accounts if youd like to keep talking with me on other things!)
also to add on to my tags on prev post (edited to be put under a read more because this got way longer than i intended):
i apologize if my lack of communication skills and my lack of people permanence has caused anyone to feel awkward around me and/or think that i don't see them as a person worth keeping around.
i sincerely mean this when i say it: i do see you as someone worth keeping around. i know i struggle with showing it, affection is not my strength point in the slightest. but i will continue to keep trying my best to be at least approachable. and i dont mind if you want to keep your distance and just kinda vibe from the sidelines. i still appreciate you and i respect your space.
to be honest i have a pretty big personal bubble that i find nearly impossible to let people into, the closer people want to get to me and the closer i want to get to others. think of my sociability like two magnets with the same sides facing each other: the closer you try and force them together, the stronger the force of repulsion can be felt.
i try not to mean any ill intentions towards most people! but i know that even if i don't mean it, i can still hurt people regardless. and i hate hurting people who don't deserve to be hurt. i appreciate the folks who follow me - by doing so you are welcomed into my bubble, and can peek into a very personal part of my life that i bare out in the open for others to see.
essentially... i just want to say that i do care about others, just not in the most open way. and my inbox is always open if you want to chat with me and get to know me better. i have tumblr dms open - both asks and using the IM feature. i have discord and a plethora of other social accounts on multiple platforms, including:
quotev
mastodon (plush.city is my main instance where i can be found!)
just plain 'ole e-mailing me is totes cool with me!
flight rising (yes. i will allow people to send me messages on FR and tag me in forum posts. i cannot guarantee i will reply to every thing right away, but i do read all my messages within 24-48 hours of them being sent by you!)
i don't use twitter anymore, sadly. so i apologize if thats your preferred avenue of communication!
i could dig up my skype account again if anyone wants to add me on there?
i don't use a lot of other messaging apps that are popular these days aside from discord and tumblr, but if you want you could pitch me an offer to join a website/ chat/ platform that you use and i may join!
however you will Never get me to join instagram, snapchat or tiktok. Sorry, I just dont think those apps are for me.
i try to keep my avenues of conversation open. even though i admittedly am not great at chatting and most of my affection and sillies are gleaned from what kind of memes and silly reaction pics i send, i still do want to offer up a metaphorical chill spot for people to join me in.
i realize this is pretty long so i'm going to end this, although im not sure how? just like, if you ever have any thoughts, concerns, questions, or want to just talk to me at all about literally anything (i dont care if you only send me like, one word, I will likely respond anyway!) then like... As the boys would say, hit me up, I guess?

Can we get a yandere sukuna who is very obsessive or protective of reader. Reader is forbidden from leaving his shrine and when he has to be someplace where he can’t take reader he has Uruame “babysit” them.
Ryomen Sukuna
TW: NSFW, implied noncon, captive reader, somewhat exhibitionism, Sukuna in general
fem reader

You like Uraume well enough. But, it’s not much of a competition when it stands between them and Sukuna and the dozen-plus maids who’re not allowed to talk to you with the threat of having their tongue removed.
Uraume is the only one left for you to interact with. And though you wouldn’t really call yourselves friends, you might describe your relationship as similar to that between two coworkers—coworkers with the worst boss in history.
Uraume is diligent, though—fervent in their worship of Sukuna. You don’t really understand why he isn’t intimate with them instead—they seem much more pliant. But suppose Sukuna views the two of you differently. Uraume is his helper, and you’re his… well… it would be wrong to call you his pet due to the nature of your relationship, though that is what it feels like—and if not a pet, then something less. Actually, that’s the perfect way to differentiate you and Urauma—they are a tool, and you are a toy, and both belong to him. That’s a definition Sukuna would agree with, at least.
Uraume holds their tongue for the most part, but you’re sure they have more to say about your insolence than what they show. When anyone else disrespects Sukuna, they’re quicker to have them frozen dead on the spot than let them finish the sentence. But with you, they let you off with only a strict scolding—like a mother telling a child not to swear.
It’s a strange relationship—often awkward. Sukuna doesn’t trust anyone else—and he certainly doesn’t trust you—so you’re often left in the hands of Uraume, who takes on the role of your lady-in-waiting, handmaid, and babysitter.
Often, you end up feeling more intimate with Uraume than with Sukuna. They even help you bathe, dress, and do your hair. No matter how much you tell them you can do it on your own, they insist it’s not proper and that Sukuna would be more pleased if you allowed them to assist you.
They also help Sukuna with the same thing—which somehow makes it feel even stranger—watching them tread his kimono on him after having scrubbed his back in the bath.
But it’s especially weird when Sukuna decides he wants to share his bath with you.
The way Uraume kneels by the tub, fully dressed before your naked bodies.
You whine, telling Sukuna to stop, saying, “Not in front of Uraume,” but he’s shameless, sleaving himself inside you while Uraume works on rubbing your feet.
“They don’t mind,” is all he says on the matter. “Now quit fussing—you’re spilling everywhere.”

When my mom was 8 she broke a 15 year old boy's arm when he would not stop bullying her siblings for being Jewish, including trying to drown my uncle. Not as a joke, he was actively trying to kill him. Being 19 and on my second year of jiujitsu and breaking my antisemitic instructor's shoulder because his dumb ass thought he could thrash me with illegal moves repeatedly without consequences feels like a defining moment in my life. I really am my mother's son. My 5"3 ass can and will beat your 6"4 one despite the 100 lb weight differential. And I don't even need to make illegal moves to do it.
This is what it's like to be Jewish. You deal with people twice your size who don't play by the rules and you fight fairly and yet even when you're defending yourself, eyewitnesses get antisemitic and say your response was disproportionate. He had me in a lethal chokehold. I'm the one who had to talk to police for assault. He doesn't even get a reprimand from the university even though he's employed by them and murder on the campus is, even now, a bad look.
The police were, fortunately, swayed by the video footage. They said my lack of guilt was disturbing. I stared at them in disbelief. "I'm not going to feel guilty for not wanting to die," I told them incredulously, "I have elderly parents to support, a girlfriend to propose to and a dog to take care of. I'm 20, I have shit left to live for!"
I'm being forced into therapy by the university. I look forward to it. Sure would be a shame if I'd, I don't know, hypothetically, scoured the internet to find other accounts of people he'd used illegal moves on. It'd sure suck if I brought those up and had those entered into the school record. Sure would be awful if those accounts found their way into his RateMyProfessor listing in addition to, say, theoretically, being sent to local dojos and other dojos throughout the state, thus ruining his ability to find work or fight competitively.
All sarcasm aside I am not afraid to nuke his career. I am my mother's son but I am also my grandmother's grandson. When a KKK member tried to kill her dad, my great-granddad, she wrestled the man's gun off of him and shot him in the knee. He never walked again.
Nobody in my family starts fights. But I don't mind finishing them.
This is what it's like to be Jewish. Someone tries to kill you. You do exactly what's required to get out alive. They get angry at you. They want you to feel guilty for wanting to live. You get up and go to class hours later with bruises on your neck and refuse to feel guilty. I have as much of a right to be alive as anyone else. I will not be gaslit into thinking I don't deserve to live.
The school said I wouldn't have to do therapy if I apologized. I will not apologize for surviving or defending myself.
I have as much of a right to be alive as anyone else.
