パソコンのサブ機を買うにあたりめちゃめちゃ悩んでる。

今のメインデスクトップ機は2021年に買ったもので、Corei7(第10世代）メモリ16GB×2の32GBのwindowsで、まあしばらくは持つだろうという感じで実際今も不具合はないのだが、ガリゴリ使って５年目なので「サブ機ないとなんかあったとき怖いな」という気持ちになってきたためノートパソコン買うか、と思っている。

一応今もサブ機というかwindowsタブレットというかraytrektabの10インチがまだ生きているのだが、大量の画像処理やページ数の多い漫画の作業などは、このPCのスペックでやることじゃない。Celeron N4100のメモリ8GBなので、クリスタの動作要件は満たしているが、「必要最低限動く」の範囲という感じ。raytrektabはクリスタにチューンナップされたタブレットPCだが、基本「一枚絵を描く」ことを前提としていてページ数が多い漫画などを扱おうと思うと動作が重い。できないとは言わないがストレスがある。保存も遅いし書き出しも遅いし。

クリスタの動作環境は公式で「2GB以上のメモリ必須　8GB以上推奨」となっているが、漫画でページ管理している体感だとメモリ16GBが最低要件で32GBから「ストレスがない」感じなんだよな。前のメインPCはメモリ16GBで、「このブラシ重いな」「書き出しが重くてデータ���バグる」「クラウドデータのアップもDLも遅い」「素材や画像の拡大縮小が重い」がまあまああったが32GBにした今はあんまりないので。CPUはCore i7をだいたいずっと選んできたので、年代毎に相応スペックだったと思うが、どんなCPU詰もうがメモリが少ないと動作が重いのよね。 今思うとメモリ８GBしかないrayterktabで50ｐ超過の漫画描いてたのよくやってたなと思う。デスクトップもあったんだが生活上長時間デスクワークができない感じの時期があった。作業環境的にそうせざるを得なかったってのはあるけど重さも慣れなんだろうな。

で、今からノートパソコンを買うとしたらどういうスペックがいいかなんだけども。

買う目的

・メインPCが突然死んだとき詰まないため ・外出先で作業したい ・クリスタとPhotoshopがストレスなく使えるスペック

ということを考えると、CPUが最新Core i7以上、グラボも適当に積んで、���モリ32GBあたりが妥当、ストレージは1TBあれば十分か、という感じなんだが、

ノートパソコンの場合、バッテリー駆動時間の問題があり、10時間以上バッテリーが持つもの、且つ必要スペックを盛れる機種で、出せる値段のちょうどいい感じがどうもこう、見いだせない。デスクトップよりノートPCが高くなるのはわかっているのだが、選ぼうと思うと色々迷う。

バッテリー駆動時間の長いやつはビジネス用が多いので、CPUやメモリスペックが低め設定だったりグラボ積めなかったりするんだよね。がっつり映像編集しますとか３Dがんがんぶん回しますぐらいのスペックのクリエイティブ専用機ノートでグラボめっちゃいいやつでとかになるとさすがにそこまではいらなくて、映像系専用機よりやや下、ビジネス用よりは上ぐらいのあたりのこう……なんかちょうどいいノートパソコンはないのか？というのでいろんなメーカー見て右往左往している。バッテリー駆動時間を捨てればまあまあある。バッテリーまわりがネックなんだよな……。

と考えていくと「iPadでよくない？」という感じになってくるんだが、ショートカット使いまくるのでiPadにキーボードつけるぐらいならMacBookにしろよという気にもなるがMac使い慣れてないからエラー対応が未知で踏み切れない(慣れりゃいい話ではあるのだが）、「普段ほとんど使わずメインPCが死んだとき繋ぎで使えればいい」だけの目的に絞るならもうスペック適当な安いやつでよくない？　もしくはiPadでもいいよな今はadobe製品使えるし……みたいな気持ちにもなってきて、判断��準がブレまくって決まらない。

それぞれ各自の利権に落ち着いて、ぬるま湯でダラダラしてた。インテルはCorei7とかいうザコCPUを延々と作ってたし、Adobeは何も進歩しないphotoshop作ってたし、Appleはこれまた進歩の止まったiPhone作ってた。そんななかStabilityやOpenAIみたいなAIベンチャーがAI持って���り込んできた。Googleが「おいやめろ！そんなもん持ち出したら世の中大変な事になるぞ」って自重を求めてもAIベンチャーは「うるせ～！知らね～！」って危険すぎるAIを抜刀して世の中ひっくり返しにかかってた。完全に守りに入ってたビッグテックと違って馬の骨のAIベンチャーは失うものが無い無敵の人みたいなもんだから世界を破壊するのに躊躇いが無い。AIベンチャーの暴走に巻き込まれたマイクロソフトやGoogleみたいなビッグテックは踊らされるハメになって、メタなんかウッカリLlamaをオープン公開して我々はタナボタでローカルLLMで遊べてる。だから我々一般人にとってはビッグテックが踊らされ続けてるほどオトクなワケや。とは言え、いくらAIベンチャーが暴れまくったところで、最終的には手元の資金が無くなってきてイグジット…利益を考えないといけないフェーズが来る。どっかに投資してもらうとか、買収してもらうとか。そんで最近はビッグテックがAIベンチャーと提携したり買収したり投資したりの動きが目立つ。その先にあるのは結局談合と根回しの世界。またぬるま湯でダラダラ進歩しないつまんねえ世界に戻っていく。タナボタも無くなってAIが閉じていって我々はビッグテックが提供するサブスクAIに隷属するしか無くなる。あんなにイキがって「オープンソース最高！」って言ってたStabilityもEmad氏が抜けた今ではオープンコミュニティにお出ししてくれる

In the next 12 months, I'll be looking to upgrade my PC with a new CPU, motherboard, and ram. My last build was in 2017 with an Intel i7 7700k which has served me faithfully (also delighting at the clock speed being 4.20ghz blaze it).
