A lot of you already know about my screenplay, The Dragonologists, which has won a couple of awards. Well, in recent news, Trinity Broadcasting Network’s publishing ministry (Trilogy Christian Publishing) has offered me a contract to write and publish The Dragonologists as a YOUTH NOVEL!!! As you can imagine, I am incredibly excited! However, since I am a new and unknown writer/author, I have to invest some money into my first book. The total cost to publish the novel is a total of $5,500… But because I have to make the first payment upon signing the contract before the deadline, I am soon going to be launching a Kickstarter fundraising campaign to help raise at least $2,300 before August 20th. There are a lot of odds stacked against obtaining, or even exceeding, that amount in the small amount of time I have. But I trust that if it is the Lord’s will for this book to be published with TBN/TC's ministry, He will make it happen! Please pray with me and be on the lookout for the fundraiser! I will share the link in my Bio soon as it goes public. Believing In God. He has displayed his evidence in all of creation, Christ was for told all the bible stories in the stars.
Not everyone will agree with you, not everyone will understand what God speaks to you, Not everyone will be able to see what God is showing you. Remember one of Jesus close disciples named Thomas struggled to have Faith, struggled to see the truth and struggled to believe in God, First he had to see that Jesus had rose from the dead, in the flesh to believe it, He had to touch Jesus and that wasn’t enough until he put his fingers through the wounds on Jesus hands. People can be staring at all of the evidence and signs God incidences and confirmation in the world and still have disbelief in their minds or hearts. Closed minds are closed hearts and closed doors to God, that even God won’t force open and violate mans free will. Jesus said John 20:29 (KJV) ~ “Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”

Biblical Environmentalism: Honoring the Lord by Taking Care of His Creation
By: Christa Jewett of Saltwater Studies.
Normally, when someone hears the word “environmentalism”, it is not used with any reference to Scripture. Instead, it is often associated with enthusiastic, passionate types of people who sacrifice everything in the interest of saving an aspect of Creation. Perhaps it brings to mind the environmentalist groups whose members chain themselves to trees in protest of logging contracts, picket the headquarters of oil and gas companies or throw paint at fur-wearing fashionistas. However, every Christian should be an environmentalist because God is the one who established the standard for environmentalism. A review of Scripture reveals that it actually includes ample information about Creation, its purpose, its importance to the Lord and His instructions on how to take care of it. It clearly indicates that God values His Creation for a number of different reasons and that He has given man the responsibility of taking care of it. However, rather than looking to the world’s standard for environmentalism, it is important to seek the Scriptures for God’s standard of environmentalism, something that I call biblical environmentalism.
In order to establish a biblical standard for environmentalism, let’s first look at what the Lord says about the importance of Creation.
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. – Romans 1:20
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. – Psalm 19:1
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. - Genesis 2:15
The Bible indicates that Creation reflects the character and beauty of our God, it was made to bring Him glory and it is His gift to us, a display of His love and the means of His provision for us.
Next, let’s look at what the Scriptures say about man’s relationship with Creation. One of the most important aspects that we must remember when considering our role is that the Bible is clear that as its Creator, God retains ownership of the earth and all of its resources. This fact is clearly illustrated in both the Scriptures and the practices He established for the Israelites.
The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters. - Psalm 24:1-2
When the Lord established the rules for the Israelites, He set up periodic years where any land that had been bought or sold would revert back to its original owners during the year of Jubilee (Leviticus 25:28). This procedure encouraged the Israelites to view the land as temporarily theirs.
The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you reside in my land as foreigners and strangers. - Leviticus 25:23
According to these Scriptures, we are merely borrowing the land that we use from God. Does this change your perspective about how you interact with His Creation? Do you treat it like you have borrowed it from an all-powerful, all-knowing God? So if the earth belongs to the Lord, what is our role in regards to Creation? The Bible again offers us a clear answer to this question: our relationship with Creation is to be its caretakers. God gave us dominion over the earth to manage it and to use its resources to meet our needs.
The highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth he has given to mankind. - Psalm 115:16
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” - Genesis 1:28
For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills. - Deuteronomy 8:7-9
As a result, biblical environmentalism, learning to take care of Creation in a manner that is honoring to the Lord, is of utmost importance to us: its stewards.
Unfortunately, oftentimes what we see today are two different environmental strategies that do not honor the Lord. Each of these strategies represents an extreme that places another priority above the worship and honor of God. At one extreme, we see people who protect the earth by placing environmental preservation of natural resources and animals above the needs of humans. This is not honoring to the Lord as the Creation is being worshipped rather than the Creator (Romans 1:25). At the other extreme, we see people who greedily use natural resources for financial gain. In this instance, their selfishness and love of money has caused them to abuse the gift that the Lord has given us (Matthew 6:24). As followers of Jesus Christ, we must maintain the right balance in our relationship with Creation. This balance includes exploring the earth but not exploiting it. We are to enjoy Creation but not worship it, instead directing our praise to the One who made it (Psalm 150:6). We are to utilize its resources without being wasteful or unnecessarily harmful to our natural environment. And while our actions to manage and take care of the earth may appear to be similar to those of secular conservationists, of utmost importance is the attitude of our hearts. Our desire to conserve natural resources should be born of our desire to honor and glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. – 1 Corinthians 10:31

Christa Jewett is the president and founder of Saltwater Studies, Inc., a company and ministry of the Lord that offers biblically-based marine science education. The focus of Saltwater Studies is to create curriculum and facilitate interactive experiences that illustrate to students the truth outlined in Romans 1:20; that all Creation testifies of the character of God.

Dr. Garte just added evidence--to the level of proof, actually--to what has been critiqued for a long time: he just arbitrarily slaps the label "evolution" on any and every phenomena and can only then claim that there's overwhelming evidence for "evolution" and only then can he even claim that creationists believe in "evolution"--and, of course, Amy can only then cry "consensus...consensus...consensus...consensus" which was the only thing Amy contributed to this debate.
Hurry, hurry, step right up: Darwinism, the extended evolutionary Neo-Darwinian synthesis, Evo-Devo, adaptation, speciation, mutation, natural selection, neutral theory, punctuated equilibrium, convergence, niche selection, epigenetics, stress-directed mutations, teleology, agency cognition, etc., etc., etc.: it’s all under the big top!!!

Is Evolution Science or a Belief?
First of all, what is evolution? Well, there are different kinds that most have probably learned in high school, such as micro-evolution, macro-evolution, etc. But the evolution being discussed here in this writing is Cosmic evolution, which is basically the study of the origin of the universe: The theory that everything came to be when a speck the size of a pea somehow exploded (the Big Bang Theory) and created the sun, moon and stars, us and the world in which we live. But how probable is that theory? Is there any real proof? Does it take just as much faith to believe in this theory as it does to believe that the universe was created by an all powerful Being? Is evolution a belief?
The purpose of this essay is not to present a bunch of facts showing why evolution is not true and the creation theory is true, there are thousands of studies and academic writings on the subject. The purpose is to expose the commonly held belief that evolution is science, and Creationism is a belief. Truly, it takes a large amount of faith to believe in the evolutionary theory because there is no solid proof. As Dutch scientist Cees Dekker said, “It should be understood that evolutionary theory is incomplete and that we are still discovering new things.” (Blancke 793) Science is something that can be studied, tested and demonstrated, especially in a controlled environment, such as a laboratory. Scientists can't prove the evolutionary big bang happened because, even today, they can't make something from nothing. Merriam Webster's definition of science is: "Knowledge about or study of the natural world based on facts learned through experiments and observation." Cosmic evolution has never been observed or seen in the natural world. Astronomers have seen stars explode, sure, but have yet to see one form, or evolve, on its own. So why is evolution being taught as fact?
Because it takes actual faith to believe in something, what people do not realize is that this is not a matter of Religion vs Science, but a belief system butting heads against another belief system. What people believe affects their worldview, and peoples' worldview determines how their actions. History shows the dangers of evolutionary thinking. The holocaust is one such example. Evolutionist Charles Darwin's book on natural selection had a great impact on Adolf Hitler and the Nazi's regime. It was believed that Jews, Blacks, homosexuals and those who had mental and physical disabilities were inferior, and of lesser worth, and polluting the earth simply by being alive. Because of that mindset, people saw nothing wrong with killing off entire people groups- that the act of "ethnic cleansing" simply meant speeding up the process of natural selection, promoting the evolution and development of the more powerful human race. The outcome of this worldview and belief was the despicable persecution and genocide of thousands, millions of people. It wasn't considered murder- because in their mind-set, God doesn't exist, and if God doesn't exist nether does His word therefore there is no absolute standard for morality. It's all subject to man's mere opinion and ideas; humanity's flawed logic and wicked heart. And what people believe is, in essence, their religion.
Because evolution remains, in fact, just a theory, then the question remains: Why aren't other theories presented for consideration? Well, basically the only other alternative to evolution is Creation which largely contrasts with its evolutionary counterpart. If the world was created by God, then that means we are created in His image, as His word says. That means mankind should treat others with love and respect. People should care for others, and the rest of God's creation, as His word instructs. The problem is that people don't want to believe in a Creator generally because they don't want to live by His authority. So what is the alternative to this? No God. The belief in evolution presents the opportunity to believe that there is no Intelligent Designer and that we can live our lives the way we want, even if it means causing others harm. This is why those who believe in the Creation theory come under attack and persecution. People are so quick to throw out good scientific discoveries, studies and facts when they are made by someone who happens to believe in intelligent design. It is coined as religious, and not true science.
Should Creationism be taught in schools? Well, why not? Why shouldn't there be other theories presented to people, specifically children, in public educational settings? Why is only one theory, which hasn't been proven, being taught as fact? It seems very academically, scientifically irresponsible not to present other theories about the origin of the earth.
At the end of the day, even given the overwhelming scientific evidence that supports the Creation Theory as recorded in the Holy Scriptures and in modern day studies, it all comes down to the individual and what they choose to believe. It is not a matter of science vs. a belief or faith, because it takes a step of faith to believe in anything.
