more substantive thing about Glass Onion and then i think this is all my thoughts: i really liked something i feel was clearly shown in the flashbacks but not outright stated, which was that andi knew damn well miles bron was a dumb huckster.

that's what she wanted him for. she needed that ability to throw himself into his latest shill with total commitment, because of his need to believe in his own hype. the 'reality distortion' of his hard sell.

she knew that to get what she wanted out of life, she needed to harness that confidence of a mediocre white man we all talk about.

that it would open doors that would stay unmoved in the face of all her brilliance, and polish, and perfected rich bitch voice.

there's a lot of these guys out there, and she picked a dumb one because she planned for him to be the front man to her mastermind. (apologies to paul mccartney lol i don't mean to impugn your intelligence.) a smarter man would have had his own plans, would be harder to use as a mouthpiece for her better ones. she would have needed to find an actual partner and not a tool, and she didn't trust like that.

duke wasn't actually wrong to say they were all playing the same shitty game and andi lost. i mean, he was morally wrong but he wasn't incorrect.

like blanc says, she thought that because she was better than bron, because she was the genius and he was the cheap con artist, he wasn't dangerous. and in the end that was where it all fell apart.

Alright, not only are they not going in order to promote the newly animated PV on August 1st, they also used the four OWG boys first... Very curious.

Plus, all of those are rather sad or emotional scenes, which is also quite unusual.

I assume Taichi is apologizing to Koromon after causing him to evolve to Skullgreymon. With Takeru and Patamon, I'm not entirely sure, but it could be in the Pumpmon/Gotsumon episode. Koushirou is crawling towards Motimon after being trapped in Vademon's dimension. Yamato is kneeling on the ground after getting confronted by Cherrymon...

So far, they're also paralleled in their positioning (Taichi and Takeru on the right, standing, facing away from each other; Koushirou and Yamato on the left, kneeling, facing away from each other).

I was thinking that it's interesting that symbols have come up a few times so far in The Magnus Protocol, both in the old graffiti and the empty wooden box-like item from the Magnus Institute, and on Daria's tattoo.

Alchemical symbols, all over the screen. and then on the crest itself...

The circle portion has salt (upper left) and mercury (bottom right).

I know very little about alchemy and alchemical symbols but I am thinking that this is going to be relevant.

His partner and crest are representative of a tendency towards corruption and the need to actively work to become a better person. Lopmon is prone towards corruption in its highest form, however, its highest form sans corruption is an angel type of digimon representing a capacity for good unlike any other.

Hazel Wells- Crests; Hope, Partner; Tailmon. Her crest is representative of a need to learn about and gain hope. Her partner evolves into an angel type. Her partner and crest are representative of a good and pure heart and the need to allow more hope into her experience of the world lest she falls into a negative cycle of emotion. Hazel is someone lacking hope due to her anxieties and tendency towards overthinking.

Jasmine Tran- Crests; Courage, Partner; Cutemon. Her crest is representative of a need to gain courage. Her partner is a mischievous and peppy little fella, just like her! Both her partner and her crest are there to aid her in her journey towards facing her fears. Jasmine is someone with many fears that aren’t taken seriously by the adults in her life.

Winn Harper- Crests; Friendship, Partner; Renamon. Their crest is representative of the need to allow people in and to build friendships and connections. Renamon is a solitary digimon that does not adhere to the gender binary despite what others might have to say about it. This connection between Winn and their partner holds a special place in their heart. Winn is someone who doesn’t have a lot of friends despite seeming so call to everyone around them.

hiii first of all congratulations on your blog being partially unbanished from the shadow realm! (the one good thing about me seeing this so late is that I no longer have a crazy workload lol)

ok so Rykard’s crown is kinda inconsistent in the depictions we have of him, so either he has multiple crowns or the depictions of him just weren’t standardized. In the opening art of his severed head, he wears this, which is also quite similar to his “crown” above his face in his snake form:

looking at the in-game portraits we have of him, his crown looks like this:

which is the design that I stick to when I draw him, because I just like it way better than the first crown.

regarding physically drawing the crown, I start by drawing the band of the crown first, then I place the gem in the center, then add the central crest (in blue), then the side crests (in orange):
