Matrimony Clone Script vs Custom Development: Which is Better for Your Business?
Tumblr media
Choosing Between Matrimony Clone Script and Custom Development
Hey folks! 👋 Starting a matrimonial platform is an exciting venture, but one of the first decisions you’ll face is whether to use a matrimony clone script or go for custom development. Both options have their pros and cons, and choosing the right one can make or break your business. In this guide, we’ll dive deep into the comparison between clone scripts and custom development to help you make an informed decision. Let’s get started! 🚀
What is a Matrimony Clone Script?
A matrimony clone script is a pre-built software solution designed to replicate the features and functionalities of popular matrimonial platforms like BharatMatrimony. Think of it as a ready-made template that you can customize to suit your specific needs.
For example, a BharatMatrimony clone script comes with essential features like user profiles, matchmaking algorithms, and payment gateways, allowing you to launch your platform quickly.
The beauty of clone scripts lies in their simplicity.
You don’t need to start from scratch, which saves both time and money. However, while they offer a quick start, they may have limitations in terms of customization and scalability.
What is Custom Development for Matrimony Apps?
Custom development, on the other hand, is like building your dream home from the ground up. 🏗️ It involves creating a matrimonial app tailored to your exact requirements, from the user interface to the backend architecture.
This approach gives you complete control over every aspect of the app, ensuring it aligns perfectly with your business goals and target audience.
While custom development offers unparalleled flexibility, it comes with a higher price tag and longer development time. It’s ideal for businesses with unique needs or those planning to scale significantly in the future.
Cost Comparison: Matrimony Clone Script vs Custom Development
💰 Let’s talk money! One of the biggest factors in your decision will be the cost.

Create your own Blockchain - Build a Blockchain From Scratch
Tumblr media
What is Blockchain Development?
Blockchain is a decentralized and distributed digital ledger technology that allows multiple parties to maintain a shared record of transactions or information securely and transparently. It is the underlying technology behind cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, but its applications go beyond just financial transactions. Blockchain is secure and transparent. It uses cryptography to secure the data. Each information is encrypted and linked to the previous information in a chain, making it very difficult to alter or delete data without being detected. Anyone can view the transactions on a blockchain, which provides high transparency and accountability.
Blockchain development encompasses building applications and systems that leverage the power of blockchain technology. It involves designing and building decentralized applications (DApps), smart contracts, and the underlying infrastructure required to support blockchain networks.
To build a blockchain one requires proficiency in programming languages such as Java, PHP, SQL, Rust, Ruby, etc. Additionally, developers should have a strong understanding of cryptography, distributed systems, and the specific features and limitations of the chosen blockchain platform.
How to create a Blockchain?
Step 1 - Identify a Problem to solve
While blockchain boasts impressive advantages, it's crucial to avoid a "one-size-fits-all" mentality. Before diving in, thoroughly scrutinize your desired outcome. Align your specific business goals with the blockchain use cases outlined above.
Formulating a clear problem statement is crucial. This statement should meticulously detail the challenges you seek to address. Subsequently, verify if blockchain is genuinely equipped to tackle these issues. Finally, determine whether migrating your existing solution or building a new application from scratch aligns better with your project.
Step 2 - Draft your business requirements
Following an in-depth analysis, meticulously craft your business requirements document to ensure a comprehensive and successful implementation. This document should identify both on-chain and off-chain technologies necessary for building a fully functional ecosystem. Leverage these details to establish a concrete product roadmap, aiding in maintaining adherence to deadlines and facilitating resource allocation.
3 things the blockchain can do well
Data Authentication & Verification
Smart Asset Management
Smart Contracts
Step 3 - Identify the Consensus Mechanism
After defining your business requirements, the crucial step involves selecting a consensus mechanism. This mechanism serves as the foundation for trust, security, and agreement within the decentralized network. While various options exist, some widely adopted mechanisms include:
Proof of Work (PoW)
Proof of Stake (PoS)
Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT)
Deposit-based consensus
Proof of Elapsed Time (PoET)
Therefore, conducting thorough research and selecting the best fit is paramount for a successful implementation.
Step 4 - Identify the suitable blockchain platform
Selecting the appropriate platform for your blockchain application directly impacts the required skillset of your development team. Choosing wisely is crucial, as proper development requires thorough research and investment of time. To ensure the best fit for your business needs, consider the following factors during your evaluation:
Targeted problems
Cost considerations
Development expertise
Project Timeline
By carefully evaluating these factors, you can make an informed decision that sets your project up for success.
Step 5 - Design your Blockchain Nodes
Before commencing development, several key decisions must be made, to determine whether your project requires a permissioned blockchain or a permissionless one. Choose suitable programming languages and assess their impact on development. Decide between a private, public, or hybrid model for your blockchain solution. Will the nodes be cloud-based, on-premises, or a combination? Select the compatible operating system that best supports your application.
Meticulous evaluation of these factors weighed against your project's objectives, available resources, and budget, will ensure a well-designed and strategically developed blockchain solution.
Step 6 - Identify your Blockchain Configuration
Most blockchain platforms require careful planning for various configuration elements, such as:
Permissions
Asset Issuance and Re-issuance
Atomic Exchange
Key Management and Multi-Signatures
Parameters
Native Assets, Address Formats, and Key Formats
Block Signatures and Handshaking
While some elements allow for dynamic adjustments during operation, thorough planning beforehand is crucial for streamlined development and successful implementation.
Step 7 - Build your APIs
Depending on the platform you choose, pre-made application programming interfaces (APIs) might be available. However, in some cases, you may need to develop custom APIs to address specific needs, such as:
Key and Address Management
Auditing and Data Verification
Data Access
Smart Asset Management
Smart Contract Interaction
By carefully considering your project's requirements, you can determine the need for custom API development and ensure a comprehensive and functional blockchain solution.
Step 8 - Design Admin and User Interface
Upon finalizing the overall application plan, you can move on to designing the user interface (UI) for each individual software component. The previously designed APIs will serve as the foundation for integrating the UI elements with the back-end functionalities. Remember, the visual design choices will influence the application's overall aesthetics, while the technical design decisions will impact its architectural structure and functionality.
Step 9 - Optimize your Blockchain Application
Evaluating the success of a deployed blockchain application is crucial. For compute-intensive applications, hardware acceleration can significantly enhance performance, flexibility, and power efficiency.
These accelerators act as performance boosters for key blockchain functionalities like transaction validation, governance, and data storage. By distributing transaction processing across multiple components, they can improve both transaction speed and overall system output, while also optimizing resource utilization and reducing storage needs.
Step 10 - Adding Future Tech
Blockchain technology presents exciting possibilities when combined with other innovative solutions like AI, biometrics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). This integration can significantly enhance the capabilities of blockchain systems.
While the initial hype surrounding blockchain may have overstated its universal applicability, its potential to revolutionize various industries remains undeniable. By embracing these technological advancements in conjunction, we can unlock a future where blockchain empowers us to tackle complex challenges in a secure, efficient, and innovative manner.
Blockchain Development Challenges
There are three main challenges for those who wants to create your own blockchain such as decentralization, security, and scalability.
Decentralization
The main reason to use blockchain is decentralization.
In the realm of finance, blockchain empowers individuals to manage their own cryptocurrency, bypassing the need for centralized control by banks. This system leverages a distributed consensus mechanism, where verification relies on approval from a network of participants instead of a single authority. This unique system ensures the immutability of transactions, meaning they cannot be altered once confirmed.
However, the decentralization offered by blockchain comes with a trade-off: achieving consensus through multiple confirmations can lead to slower transaction processing times. Accelerating this process remains a significant challenge for developers in the blockchain space.
Scalability
The global adoption of blockchain technology depends on its ability to handle a growing volume of transactions while maintaining expected performance and robust defense against cyberattacks. However, achieving high transaction scalability can present challenges, especially as block sizes increase.
In the case of Bitcoin, the original block size limit of 1 megabyte was set to mitigate the risk of cyber threats. However, each Bitcoin transaction contributes to the size of the block, potentially leading to blocks surpassing the imposed size limitations. This can negatively impact processing speed.
Although the block-size debate was initially sparked by Bitcoin, the decisions made by developers regarding block size increase will have implications for all blockchain applications. It becomes a critical consideration to strike a balance between block size expansion and maintaining transaction speed across various blockchain implementations.
Security
Another main challenge faced in creating your own blockchain by the developers is security, even though it is also one of the benefits of blockchain development. Blockchain is a secure technology, and also a target for cybercriminals. Anything that endangers blockchain security will cause a ridge between decentralization and scalability. Ans no centralized party can intervene without regulatory oversight in the moment of security breach. In blockchain security breaches are rare, so developers need to create blockchain networks that not only add business value but also add complete security
It is important to remember that blockchain technology is in the early stages, and these challenges are involved in the development of blockchain solutions.

Subscription Revenue: Rs. 100 * 12 months * 5% * 1440 users = Rs. 86,400.
In-App Purchase Revenue: Rs. 50 * 1440 = Rs. 72,000.
Advertising Revenue: Rs. 0.20 * 100,000 impressions * 12 months = Rs. 2,40,000.

A new script mod by Draylson!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Draylson mod notes:
The Second Hand Goods Register allows your Sim to sell any object from the Sims' Inventory and Family Inventory, including some annoying objects that cannot normally be sold, such as certificates, diplomas, imaginary friend dolls, dead Sim/pet remains, among others.
The cash register is a clone of the General Register and is available among the other community objects, in the community lot build mode. Similar to the other cash registers, simply place it on a community lot, and a Second Hand Goods Merchant will be assigned to it.
When clicking on the Second Hand Goods Register and choosing the "Sell items" interaction, the Sim will interact with the Merchant and the Shopping Dialog will open. In the "Shop" tab, at least 20 second hand objects will be available for purchase, with values compatible with their depreciation level, simulating objects sold by other Sims to the Merchant. These objects are randomly selected from all the objects in the base game, expansions, stuff packs and custom content that are installed. The depreciation level of each of these objects is also set randomly.
In the "Sell" tab, all objects from the Sim's Inventory and Family Inventory will be available to be sold. The sale price of an object is 80% of its value, since the Merchant will have up to 20% profit on their resale.
When interacting again with the Second Hand Goods Register through the "Sell items" interaction, the items sold by your Sim will now be available for purchase in the "Shop" tab. If an item sold had a value of $0, it is characterized as a donation and will not be available for purchase.
Every day, an object is removed from the list, simulating the purchase of an object by another Sim. If the list of objects available for purchase falls below 20, another object is randomly added. However, this list is not saved with the game, that is, if you reload the world, a new list of objects for purchase is created. Download from Mod The Sims!

BOOM! IT'S FINISHED!!
after so long, it finally done and dusted and ready for public release :3c
LMK SIX EAR MACAQUE SHIMEJI VER 1.0!!
Just click on the big words and ya can download, ye :D
Contains 2 zipfiles: The normal version and less frames version
Read down below for explanations on that
if got any problems launching and stuff, dont be afraid to message me, i'll try to help ya out :>
but as seen in the quick lil poster i made there, it says extra animation + more more info about that underneath the read 👇
from the top,
EXTRA ANIMATION
Same like the SWK Shimeji, this one is has unique frames for each action of the Shimeji. best example is the walk, run, dash actions seen below
Tumblr media
there are other actions that have unique frames like these, you are free to explore them :>
CUSTOM ACTION NAME
There are a few actions renamed in the shimeji code. Here is a guide for what they do:
Take Out Lantern = Mac takes out his lantern and admires it
Create Clone = Shimeji breeding 1
Visit Shadow = Shimeji breeding 2
disclaimer, I plan on making a full action guide list in the future so you can much easier reference what each action does :>, so stay tune when that happens
CUSTOM ACTION
Just like SWK, you may pet the Macaque!! >:3c give the lil bugger all the love he deserves~ (credit to Kilkakon for the original script)
as seen in this gif :3
Tumblr media
Steps to do this action is as followed:
Make the shimeji sit down (any surface is okay, ie work floor/window top)
Move the cursor to the shimeji's head
Make sure it is a hand cursor and not an arrow cursor
Pet away!!
If you want to pick up the shimeji without prompting the pet action, just move the cursor lower until it turns into the arrow icon
NON-SYMMETRICAL SHIMEJI
One more thing that causes this to be my fav Shimeji so far. HE HAS NON-SYMMETRICAL FRAMES. Meaning his black sleeve stay on his left, while yellow stay on his right.
Tumblr media
To do this, Mackie needed much more frames compared to SWK, which might cause him to lag on some devices. Hence why I prepared 2 versions of Mackie here. One with symmetry and one with none
PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE LESS FRAME VERSION TO NOT FRY YOUR PC'S!!
UPDATES WILL HAPPEN!!
just like SWK, this is version 1.0
updates will happen and I am at work working on the next csutom action. But it will not come out anytime soon since it requires me to draw a bunch of more frames again hhhh
BUT DO STAY TUNED >:3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
but for now that will be all for ver. 1.0
many thanks to anyone interested in this project and of course
BIGGEST THANKS TO THOSE THAT HELPED BETA TEST THEM
for privacy reason they shall stay anonymous but
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ >:3
PLUS EVEN MORE HEARTS!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Homebaked Bread Mod
I like bread. I want my Sims to be able to make bread without needing multiple ovens, but also have to knead dough in the process.
Tumblr media
So I made this mod - a new "Bake Bread..." interaction that allows you to bake bread recipes using the Baker's Station kneading animations, but done so on a counter, and then cooked in a regular oven.
This mod is a pure script mod that adds the new interaction to fridges, and includes 4 bread recipes that can be cooked in this way:
Homebaked Sourdough
Homebaked Rye
Homebaked Baguette
Homebaked Challah
All have ingredients Egg and Flour from Echoweavers wheat and flour mod if you have it.
The first 3 are cloned versions of the Baker's Station's breads (they don't affect the original ones), made to be compatible with this mod.
Tumblr media
The challah is a cloned version of my challah recipe converted from TS4, made compatible with this mod (also does not affect the original, see below if you don't have the Challah & Matzo Ball Soup Mod).
There are some technicalities about these recipes that make things work a bit differently to normal, but I'll put that under the cut, as well as information on making Homebaked-Bread-Compatible recipes.
DOWNLOAD here, but I recommend reading the rest of the info below: SFS | Simblr.cc
REQUIRES CC Loader
REQUIRES the Baker's Station item from the store, for both the kneading animations as well as the bread recipe models. But it won't crash the game without it ;)
Notes on these recipes:
For these recipes to only show up under the mod's interaction, they are not "Learnable" recipes. So they work similar to the store recipes in that they can't be learnt from a recipe book, they don't count towards a Sim's learnt recipes, and I think a few other small things which I'm not sure of. Shouldn't be a big deal but I just wanted to mention that.
Specifically for the Challah, my original version of the recipe has a level 2 recipe book. You can have both the original and the HB recipe installed as they are technically separate recipes, but the regular version (under the EA cooking interaction) will use the original cooking process and require the recipe book, whereas the HB version will just require skill level 2 and will use the kneading animations. If you don't have the original challah mod installed, you'll need the challahFiles package as well.
The cooking process looks the same for all HB recipes - Sims get the dough from the fridge, knead it on a counter, put it in a baking dish, and cook it in the oven. The only difference are the raw/cooked models used in the baking dish.
Adding new Homebaked Bread recipes:
Mostly the same as making regular custom recipes, just with a few extra steps to make it an HB recipe.
Make your recipe as normal with CC Loader (alternatively add your recipe to the recipes XML included in this mod)
The Recipe_Key must include "HBBread"
Learnable set to False
Must have a custom cooking process which Recipe_Class refers to
For the cooking process, I suggest using one of mine as a base as there are only a couple of things that need changing then: The line Models contains the only things that can be customised for the cooking process - the raw dough model in the baking tray, the cooked bread in the baking tray, and the burnt bread in the baking tray. The easiest thing is to have the first as the dough (WOFridgeDough), and the second and third as the recipe's serving model with the default and burnt material states. But if you want to have extra models, you can of course.
Even more notes:
For NoFridgeShopping simmers, there's a tuning value in the zoeoe_BakeBreadMod_Tuning XML to turn on NoFridgeShopping. As you might expect, with this set to True, Sims will require the ingredients to bake the breads, and they will be greyed out without them. You can either change this with S3PE or NRaas Retuner under Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.zoeoe.BakeBreadMod.Main.
Fun fact: yet another mistake in EA's Baker's Station recipe data - the sourdough and rye breads have the same textures (both use rye ones) because they didn't set the material state name for the sourdough bread. My HB versions use the right textures, but if you want to fix the BS ones, just change the "breadRoundRye" to "breadRoundSourdough" where the sourdough single and group models are defined in the CCMerged RMLS resource.
And thank you to Bietjie for testing!
Queen of the Mountain Picrew
All right! The results are in and the majority said “yes” to me sharing how I imagine Yue (via picrew). Out of respect to those who’d like to keep things to the imagination, I’ll be putting all the images below “read more”.
There are quite a few Act II designs, but I also included some Act III designs too. They're not too spoilery. Just vibes. And I also added some surprises in here too!
A special thanks to @that-shy-fanfic-writer for editing Yue’s ears to make them colorful the way I imagined them! (Picrew unfortunately didn’t have the option to give the six ears multiple colors.) She toiled for hours to help make it possible. Lav, you’re amazing!
Act II Yues:
Queen Yue:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: Yue's usual look when she's back at FFM. She prefers soft colors and light fabric when she's home.
Traveling Yue:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: Yue's look when she was traveling. It's also the uniform she wore during her time at Guanyin's school.
War Yue:
Tumblr media
Note: Yue's armor when she stormed Heaven to face LBD.
Act III Yues:
Casual Yue:
Note: Pigsy's Noodles has a cute new face. She's pretty quiet and keeps to herself. Wonder why she looks so sad...
Winter Yue:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: Yue's winter getup. Gotta bundle up when it gets cold! Yue's winter fur can only do so much on its own.
Summer Yue:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: Yue's swimsuit during a hypothetical beach episode. Doesn't she look cute?
Clones:
Script:
Tumblr media
Note: While detail-oriented, this clone is the most creative of the bunch. She's an amazing stagehand and a reliable understudy. Great at memorization and details too.
Agenda:
Tumblr media
Note: This clone is the perfect assistant to any researcher. She's the most active of the three since she's always running around to get the job done.
Mingle:
Tumblr media
Note: Who's ready to have some fun? This clone is the social butterfly of the three. She's always down to play and party. She's also great at customer service at a pinch.
Bonus:
Shanzha:
Tumblr media
Note: Created to strongly resemble Yue. She also has a hairpiece that's a nod to Chang'e.
RinRin:
Tumblr media
Note: I based her design on her appearance in the Alakazam Film.
THE SIMS 3 TUTORIAL
HOW TO CREATE CUSTOM FOOD DEFAULT REPLACEMENT MOD USING CUSTOM MESH & WORKING GEOSTATES (FULL, HALF, EMPTY)
This is default replacement replacing existing food in Base Game or Expansion Packs using EA's recipe and custom mesh & texture. If you are not satisfied with EA's existing mesh and texture, sure you can replace them with this easy-to-follow tutorial with pictures explained one by one. No custom recipe, no CCLoader, no scripting.
This is how I created Authentic Chinese Spring Rolls Replacement Mod using custom mesh and texture.
Tumblr media
----------------------------------------------------
This tutorial is for intermediate, which means already know the basic principle of doing default replacement mod.
If you are beginner, haven't tried default replacement mod mesh & texture before, recommended to try the Default Replacement Tutorial for Simple Object first. TSRW Workshop, Milkshape, etc. Tools to prepare on that tutorial as well.
----------------------------------------------------
I created this tutorial because there is no tutorial about default replacement food mod using custom mesh and explaining about how to do the GeoStates properly. I did trial-and-error and accidentally found the method how to replace EA mesh with edited mesh, and the GeoStates are fully working.
The challenge of doing food default replacement is that food mesh cannot be cloned simply on s3oc. There's no OBJD for "EggRolls" "Stir-Fry" etc. other food. The only OBJD available for clone on s3oc is Burger.
Sims 3 Object Export cannot replace s3asc because it keeps throwing error and cannot make 3 working GeoStates (Full, Half, Empty).
-----------------------------------
Note: You need World Adventures Expansion Pack to use my example, Egg Rolls. You can replace food from Base Game or any Expansion Pack.
✳️ Step 1: Find all Egg Rolls file strings: Cook, Eat Serve files on S3PE
Instead of cloning from s3oc, we have to find the file from game file package on s3pe.
Why? Because the food cannot be cloned simply from OBJD. You cannot find file "Egg Rolls" no matter how careful you inspect every file filtered "WA" (World Adventures Expansion Pack) on s3oc catalogue.
The only food you can clone its OBJD on s30c is Burger. You will clone that Burger OBJD later. Right now you have to find every file with word "Egg Rolls" on game package.
⚠️I suggest you make duplicate of game package for modding purpose instead of using package that is readable by game when the game is running. It is to avoid corruption because you accidentally replaced the files. If corrupt happens you have to re-install the game. ⚠️
Make duplicate of game package you find on your game installation path.
Base game:
The Sims 3> GameData > Shared > Packages > FullBuildep1.package
Expansion Pack:
The Sims 3> GameData > Shared > DeltaPackages>p02 > DeltaBuild_p02.package (Depending the release of Expansion Pack & Stuff Pack)
My duplicate of game package folder looks like this.
Tumblr media
Open s3pe. Open FullBuildep1.package.
Type Name "EggRolls" on box.
Tick besides Name and Filter Active, then click "Set" button. It will give your result "EggRolls" filtered by its own.
Select all files until they are in blue selected, Right Click > Copy.
File > New. Right Click > Paste...
Then your files are all pasted into new S3PE document. You can delete ticks on Egg Rolls filter, as the package is no longer filtered.
Tumblr media
File > Save .package. Give the name of the package such as "[Your username]_AmericanEggRollsEA". For my own example, "TBW_AmericanEggRollsEA."
We will use this package as a base to be replaced with new resource codes later. Put this package on Folder such as "Original EA American Egg Rolls" to make you easier to find the file which is original, which is edited.
✳️Step 2: Export Egg Rolls .s3asc and texture files from S3PE & copy the original resource codes.
Export foodEatEggRolls, foodCookEggRolls, foodServeEggRolls to s3asc.
If you are asking why this MODL should be export to s3asc, it is because we cannot clone OBJD of original EA Egg Rolls from S3oc and imported as .wso format from The Sims Workshop (TSRW). The only mesh of EA Egg Rolls we can get is from .s3asc file we can get from s3pe.
Save the s3asc file: "Cook","Eat", "Serve" on separate organized folder, name it "Original s3asc EA Egg Rolls"
Tumblr media
⚠️Warning! The strings too long can cause error when export it.
Sometimes you tried to export the .s3asc but then disappeared and you cannot find where you save it. It is because the S3PE application crashed when you exported it because the strings are too long.
In this case, the original .s3asc you want to export is S3_01661233_08000001_0000000008780D94_foodEatEggRolls%%+MODL_filebase.s3asc
You can delete the long string then leave the "FoodEatEggRolls_filebase.s3asc" for example. Yes, you must add _filebase so it can be saved as .s3asc format.
Save, then the .s3asc will add additional files such as:
foodEatEggRolls_group00.s3ascg foodEatEggRolls_group01.s3ascg
Tumblr media
Export the original EA .dds textures "All" and "Used" .
Copy all resource codes of each file to Notepad. Right-Click>Details...
Click Copy TGI to easily copy the codes (Type, Group, Instance) to Notepad.
Click GRID > Resources (3 Dots) > TGI Block List Editor You will see the list consists of 8 lines of_IMG, copy all TGI (Type, Group, Instance) codes to Notepad for easy copy paste later.
Tumblr media
✳️Step 3: Copy original GeoStates codes (0, 1, 2, 3)
Click "FoodEatEggRolls" MODL. See the 4 GeoStates on the right side.
Tumblr media
GeometryStates[0]: 0x95A36FFE
GeometryStates[1]: 0xD8918A76
GeometryStates[2]: 0x4DB2D3D2
GeometryStates[3]: 0x35B26CCB
Copy all these GeometryStates to Notepad for easy copy paste later.
GeoStates are in three forms.... Full, Half, Empty? But why are 4 GeoStates now?
You will find out later by cloning the base food OBJD in the next Step.
✳️ Step 4: Clone Burger mesh using s3oc & Open the Burger Mesh on TSR Workshop
More steps click spoiler tag “Read More / Keep Reading” below
Search "food" on s3oc.
You will get results like this. Food that can be cloned are Hamburger, Hotdog, Fries (Seasons EP). I choose Hamburger because it's Base Game and it's resembling custom food we want to create.
Tumblr media
"Clone or Fix..."> Don't tick Renumber > Start.
Save the package. Open the package on TSR Workshop.
Open TSR Workshop > Create New Project > New Import> Next > Browse EA Burger .package > Next > Next > OK.
You will get Burger mesh preview. Take a look at Mesh tab.
Then see the Group 0 and Group 1. Both have GeoStates.
What is Group 0? What is Group 1?
If you check the the burger's .s3asc exported from s3pe or .wso exported from TSRW
You will see Group 0 is the food mesh as main mesh and Group 1 is the plate.
Tumblr media
Go back to TSR preview. You see there are 4 GeoStates under Mesh from Group 0 tab.
By default, the Burger meshes (Full, Half, Empty) are combined into one.
Click each GeoState, from top to bottom.
0x95A36FFE is Full state
0x8A6C4E39 is Half state
0x4DB2D3D2 is Empty State
0x35B26CCB is Full state
Tumblr media
✳️ Step 5: Create your edited mesh
Import MODL file (with format .s3asc) of Egg Rolls you exported from s3pe from Step 2 into Milkshape 3D via Sims 3 Object Import by Wesley Howe. From Milkshape, export .obj file to your favourite 3D software to make .obj file as base mesh for your edited mesh.
Tumblr media
Create 3 States: Full, Half, Empty.
Export uvmap to editing image software to create the texture.
After you are done and satisfied with your mesh, export your custom mesh only without plate, Full, Half, Empty states in .obj format. Hide EA plate and EA's base mesh before exporting.
✳️ Step 6: Create texture
Import uvmap from your 3D software. Create texture, save in .dds format with the same name as original name of .dds exported from s3pe.
Tumblr media
✳️ Step 7: Bone Assignment, Make Group & Export to .wso
Open Milkshape 3D. Import .s3asc of original EA Egg Roll "foodEatEggRolls_filebase.s3asc" from Step 2. Click Joints Tab, tick box "Draw vertices with bone colors" to enable bone colours.
The food shows Purple colour, the plate shows Yellow colour.
*Note that this .s3asc was imported from year 2023, the original colours are like these. If in this recent year 2025 shows different colour such as the plate is Purple, please follow this example, assign the plate Yellow colour, because my method using this Yellow bone colour has been working successfully.
Then import .obj of your edited mesh from 3D software. Delete materials of custom mesh, select custom mesh, regroup, rename to group00.
Tumblr media
Your main task is copy Bone Assignment from original EA mesh to your edited mesh.
Check the codes on Joints tab, there are 3. Click each code then click "Assign" to see what is the Bone colour to determine rig for functionality of the object in the game.
0xFEAE6981 --> Yellow 0xCD68F001 --> Purple 0xD0DECA8E --> Light Blue
We will assign the custom mesh with Purple colour, therefore, select the custom mesh, select 0xCD68F001, assign. The custom mesh colour will turn Purple.
Tumblr media
After you are finished with the Bone Assignment (Main Mesh is purple, plate is yellow), make sure the groups are correct. Group 00 ---> main mesh. Group 01---> plate. Export them in .wso format.
✳️ Step 8: Import the edited mesh on TSR Workshop
Open Burger .wrk on TSR workshop, import your custom mesh in .wso format. Click folder with green arrow to import .wso.
Tumblr media
After importing, you will see your custom mesh and Geostate reset to 0 for all states.
✳️ Step 9: Create Geostates on TSR Workshop, Export to Package
If you click Geostate row, the custom mesh disappears. Because the face is 0. Click on ... dots on the right side of Geostate to open Face Selector. Face Selector is to create Geostates working, Full, Half, Empty. The mesh suddenly appears with grey colour.
Tumblr media
Left click to give colour to the face. Colouring faces based on Geostate. Be careful because the mesh is all joined into one. When give colour to Full state, do not give colour to Half state.
0x95A36FFE for the Full State
⚠️Warning! This is the trickiest part of creating Geostates: Texturing the Geostate. Cannot undo. If you wrongly click and want to undo, you have to restart from zero again. If you feel the texture is alright, then save it. You can start from checkpoint from last save if you wrongly clicked. Cancel then load the save to restart. ⚠️
Click 'n pick to click the colour one by one. Basic Square: Drag cursor to give colour in big area. Shift + Left Click: Delete 1 face. Click "Clear" to delete all the colour in one click.
Tumblr media
Rotate the camera to make sure all part of expected geostates are textured.
Give colour to other GeoStates.
0x8A6C4E39 for the Half State (half eaten)
0x4DB2D3D2 for the Empty State (crumbs)
After you are done with the texturing GeoStates, export to package. Edit > Project contents, Export> To .package
Tumblr media
✳️Step 10: Export MODL filefrom Package saved from TSR Workshop
Save the package with name "SpringRolls_TSRW"
Open s3pe, import package that you saved from TSR Workshop. "SpringRolls_TSRW"
Export MODL, save.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
✳️Step 11. Finalizing in s3pe & Replacing the Original MODL with Edited MODL & Correcting the TGI (Type, Group, Instance) Code As Same As Default Code
Open original package you cloned on s3pe "Your Username]_AmericanEggRollsEA"
I saved the package with different name to"[Your username]_SpringRollsDefaultReplacement." to make it modified package, while leaving AmericanEggRollsEA package as backup original base, just in case I need original file.
Replace "FoodEatEggRolls" MODL that you saved from Step 10: from SpringRolls_TSRW
Check if all resource code (Type, Group, Instance) are the same as the original. Check the resource codes inside TGI Block List Editor, are they as same as inside TGI Block List Editor in original package.
You can see the resource codes are different from original FoodEatEggRolls MODL codes you copy pasted to notepad. Delete MLOD, change the codes (Type, Group, Instance) with the original FoodEatEggRolls MODL codes on Notepad. Use "Add" to add one row, Delete to erase one row. After you are done, Save and Commit.
Replace textures with your custom texture in .dds format.
Tumblr media
Save package.
Test the package in game.
Wait until your Sims finish all their GeoStates, are the GeoStates working properly.
The geostates are working properly except at the Half Eaten state.
All states are combined into one and the plate colour are having spring rolls texture... 😱
Tumblr media
Don't panic. Your bone assignment is alright. Copying same codes on Data Resorce and TGI Block List Editor are working properly too.
What causing the Half Eaten state is not working is:
The "Half Eaten" geostate code you are cloning from Burger mesh is not the same as code from geostate of FoodEatEggRolls.
Burger= 0x8A6C4E39
FoodEatEggRolls= 0xD8918A76
Tumblr media
✳️Step 12. Correcting one GeoState that doesn't work because using EA's Burger mesh
Your main task here is using Default EA's Half Eaten state code to override your custom mesh Half Eaten state code.
Data Grid > ChunkEntries> [1] ChunkEntries > RCOL Block > Meshes > (on Tab [0] Mesh) > GeometryStates (then click ... Dots on the right side) > [1] GeometryStates
Tumblr media
Second row is [1] GeometryStates, indicates it is "Half Eaten" state.
[1] GeometryStates > Name
Tumblr media
Delete the code 0x8A6C4E39, replaced the code of the Burger with 0xD8918A76 from FoodEatEggRolls.
Click Done. You will go back to Tab [0] [1] Mesh and Geometry States
Don't forget to correcting the code for Plate as well. Plate is in the Tab [1] Mesh. Click [...] Dots on Geometry States once again, it will bring you to Geometry States for Plate.
Tumblr media
Repeat the step as you did for the Food State: On Row [1] GeometryStates > Name, Delete the code 0x8A6C4E39, replaced the code of the Burger with 0xD8918A76 from FoodEatEggRolls.
After you are done, click OK > OK > OK > Commit > Save the .package.
Test your package in your game again.
Half Eaten state should be working by now.
✳️Step 13. Replacing the Original "Cook & Serve" MODL with Edited "Cook & Serve" MODL & Correcting the TGI (Type, Group, Instance) Code
Create custom mesh & texture for Cook & Serve, export to TSRW, then export to MODL like Eat state before.
⚠️ Pay attention because this step is very important, otherwise the Custom Food will turn black/disappear, doesn't work in the game.
Repeat Step 11: Replace the MODL for Cook & Serve state.
If you see default TGI code you copied from "foodCookEggRolls" there are only 3 lines.
If you want the Cook state working in the game, you should use default TGI code of Serve you copied from "foodServeEggRolls"
_IMG 0x00B2D882 0x08000000 0x6F93B613E7C91FD0 _IMG 0x00B2D882 0x08000000 0x6F93B613E7C91FD0 _IMG 0x00B2D882 0x08000000 0x0E3D40D33CC70324 _IMG 0x00B2D882 0x08000000 0x6F93B613E7C91FD0 _IMG 0x00B2D882 0x08000000 0x6F93B613E7C91FD0 _IMG 0x00B2D882 0x00000000 0xA4D80FB45AE9066B _IMG 0x00B2D882 0x08000000 0x6F93B613E7C91FD0
instead of foodCookEggRolls, otherwise the Cooked food will turn to Black colour in the game.
Repeat Step 11: Copy all the TGI codes you copied from "foodServeEggRolls" for Cook and Serve.
Tumblr media
Commit, Save.
✳️Step 15. Check the Geostates for Cook & Serve
Check the Geostates for Cook & Serve.
Cook & Serve Geostates are working using Burger Geostates.
0x95A36FFE 0x8A6C4E39 0x4DB2D3D2 0x35B26CCB
Tumblr media
Leave the Geometry states, no need to change to default EA Egg Rolls (otherwise your mesh will disappear or black).
After you are done, click OK, commit, save the .package as usual.
✳️Step 16. Test the CC in the game.
If your Custom Food works well in the game: Full, Half, Empty Geostates are working without showing weird texture or black or disappear, then congratulations! Enjoy and have fun with your custom food default replacement mod👍
Ok so I just thought of something.
So about Clockwork in Forsaken...
Tumblr media
Clockwork is confirmed to be added to Forsaken in the near future after Guest 666 releases, expected to release with or more likely around the same time as Stickmasterluke and Doombringer.
Stickmasterluke's ability kit isn't known yet and is heavily speculated on, but everyone's own rendition of his kit is very similar to eachother. Balloon, apple, compass. I've also seen a custom ability that has him use his wings to lunge forward, which I think is pretty cool. I NEED this man to be a survivalist.
Doombringer's ability kit is already being worked on, and we have gotten glimpses onto what it could be. The only thing we know is that he's likely going to be akin to a trapper of some sorts, (sorry if it isn't true my memory is a bit wack) and that he's gonna be able to apply a state to a survivor called :Jail. And we also got a glimpse of an unnamed ability of his, which is this:
Tumblr media
Why is he double cheeked up?
This leaves Clockwork to have no ability kit to be known so far, even speculated he has none. The only hint we have gotten to Clockwork's moveset is from a tweet by Soul that said:
"i have a cool moveset in mind that i might work on after two time's rework & noli come out"
The only thing we get from this is that Clockwork's moveset is likely very unique to him.
And so I decided to theorize on what one of his abilities may be!
The most likely ability of his that he'll probably have would be the one and only Teapot Turret.
-
The Teapot Turret is a hat that was originally made by Clockwork and prior to the removal of scripts, the Teapot Turret had 4 abilities/tools: Fire Shield, Katon Goukakyou No Jutsu, Spinfire, and Gravity Hammer.
Fire Shield would create a shield of explosions around the user, only the explosions would damage a player so being near a player wouldn't kill them.
Katon Goukakyou No Jutsu (very awesome name clockwork) would create a line of explosions that would kill a player. The name is obviously from Naruto.
Spinfire is a broken ability, the broken version creating a single explosion above a player's(or the user's, I can't tell) head. The fixed version would create 2 explosions the users head that would swirl around eachother and would kill other players.
Gravity Hammer spawns seperately from the Teapot Turret and has the ability to launch players far away. Trying to obtain the Gravity Hammer without the Teapot Turret would kill the player.
-
His kit may be themed around the Teapot Turret, but I find it more likely for the Teapot Turret to just be one of his abilities and be able to switch from what tool to use, a kind of like 007n7's Clone and Inject abilities.
Now for the forsaken versions of the Teapot Turret's tools, they'll definitely change a lot from the actual unobtainable and unusable Teapot Turret's abilities. I also feel that Clockwork would be a support character.
For Clockwork's Teapot Turret's tools, the Fire Shield would be a defensive tool that would be similar to the OG Fire Shield, summoning a circle of explosions that will surround him, harming the killer in some way if they got to close, such as slowing them down or damaging the killer. The active time this ability works for would be short to avoid abuse of the ability.
Katon Goukakyou No Jutsu would summon a line of explosions that would harm the killer in some way, kind of working a bit like an instant version of Taph's subspace tripmine.
I believe Spinfire would be the broken version of it, summoning an explosion above Clockwork's or the killer's head, damaging them. I'm not sure what this ability could be used for as this is just my own predictions and speculations.
Gravity Hammer will probably work just like the original, minus the killing someone if they don't have the teapot turret feature.
-
My speculated Teapot Turret ability makes him seem more like an OP sentinel rather than a support, so these concepted tools of the Teapot Turret would definitely be weakened down a lot to make it fair. Also pray for him that he doesn't get the Dusekkar day 1 treatment.
With the speculated Teapot Turret ability, I find it likely for Clockwork to have an ability related to his game, Dodge the Teapots of Doom.
Also this is just mere speculation for fun, as we don't know jackshit about what Clockwork's moveset could be other than it's "cool." Feel free to take inspiration from it when coming up for your own speculated ability kit as mine is just a single ability concept with 4 different tools.
No beta we die like men.
Sexiest Podcast Character 2024 — Scripted Redemption Bracket — Round 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda
Ty Betteridge (WOE.BEGONE) (Boba Count: 2):
Ty fucking Betteridge. He’s weird. He’s silly. His love language is unethical time travel experimentation. One of him’s a cowboy-in-training, and another is stealing his coworker-slash-subordinate’s lunch to feed a sad cowbaby for nefarious purposes. He’s used time travel to get multiple phds. His middle name is (allegedly) “Careful”. And, perhaps most relatable to this website, he’s obsessed with Just Some Guy <3
Malachi Tessera (ROGUEMAKER) (Boba Count: 3):
A sweet and considerate guy, best friends with a dubiously-sentient AI, actually passionate about his space flight attendant customer service job… also semi-canonically a bear, and has the loveliest crackly voice (same VA as Peter Lukas from TMA, if that helps). I love him very much
Art of Malachi Tessera by Mallow.
Additional propaganda below the cut:
Ty Betteridge (WOE.BEGONE):
He's an unethical time travel scientist who homoerotically tortures the protagonist! What's not to love.
#TY FUCKING BETTERIDGE SWEEP
#he's so funny and horrible and i want to punch him in his stupid face sometimes #but he is undeniably sexy
#love this weirdo
He has a big weakness for cowboys, so when the protagonist shows up as one he struggles (and fails) not to fall in love with him
One version of Ty ran away to Texas to be a cowboy and he has the cutest British cowboy accent ever <3
He occasionally does Tim Curry impressions
One of his torture methods is making the protagonist listen to Arctic Monkeys
He likes to send cute animal pictures to people after he's cut their fingers off
He pretends to get along with his time travel clones well but they fight all the time and talk shit about each other behind their backs
He is so obsessed with the protagonist and his friends that he literally put them into a glass dome to "protect them" but then kept coming over to hang out and have snowball fights
#oh come on #he color coded himself and not allowed to communicate with building full of his #doubles #(they all live together and do horrible science in same building) #if you vote ty you’ll get felix for free
Malachi Tessera (ROGUEMAKER):
#WHOOOO NOMINATED MY BOY MALACHI I AM SCREAMING #also i did not put in a line where a character literally calls him a bear for someone to call it “semi-canon” #... okay maybe he said “teddy bear” but still #and mayhaps we never mentioned him being hairy but fuck it #I'm word-of-god-ing it that man is canonically a bear #“but rook you aren't the writer you can't do that” #i don't give a fuck it is 5am and i am proclaiming that he is FAT and HAIRY and SEXY AS FUCK #i feel like Emma and Alasdair would back me up on this#(seriously though he is at least canonically fat that much is certain) #(alasdair wanted to include it and emma and i were like “hell yeah”) #ik he has no chance of winning bc very few people have even heard of us but#please vote for Malachi he is so so sexy i prommy
#vote for malachai he is kind and caring #and also is a bear #also listen to roguemaker if you havent its fantastic and the music slaps
TADAA~ ✨
something been in the work since last year, on and off but now finally it done, it originally somthing made for myself privately but why not share
LMK SUN WUKONG SHIMEJI VER 1.0!!
Just click on the big words and ya can download, ye :D
if got any problems launching and stuff, dont be afraid to message me, i'll try to help ya out :>
but as seen in the quick lil poster i made there, it says extra animation + more more info about that underneath the read 👇
so first things first,
EXTRA ANIMATION
For certain shimeji actions, unique frames for each action is made. best example is the walk, run, dash actions seen below
Tumblr media
there are other actions that have unique frames like these, you are free to explore them :>
CUSTOM ACTION NAME
There are a few actions renamed in the shimeji code. Here is a guide for what they do:
Eat Peach = SWK pulls out a peach and eats it
Create Clone = Shimeji breeding 1
Visit Diyu = Shimeji breeding 2
CUSTOM ACTION
there is currently one custom action in the game that is not in the original shimeji coding. For this one, a petting action is coded in (credit to Kilkakon for the original script)
as seen in this gif :3
Tumblr media
Steps to do this action is as followed:
Make the shimeji sit down (any surface is okay, ie work floor/window top)
Move the cursor to the shimeji's head
Make sure it is a hand cursor and not an arrow cursor
Pet away!!
If you want to pick up the shimeji without prompting the pet action, just move the cursor lower until it turns into the arrow icon
UPDATES WILL HAPPEN!!
if you noticed this is version 1.0
since this is a shimeji i made personally for myself, updates will most certainly happen (and i already have plans for something relating to transformations :3c)
i may or may not gives sneak peeks to those updates but just know, i am at work HARD >:3
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
but for now that will be all for ver. 1.0
many thanks to anyone interested in this project and of course
BIGGEST THANKS TO THOSE THAT HELPED BETA TEST THEM
for privacy reason they shall stay anonymous but
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ >:3
