Good/bad news, everyone: Larian let me have mods on console and I blacked out and installed 30+ of them with the same fervor I bring to Skyrim

And it's going great

Conceptually, this playthrough is about the mod that lets you use the magic mirror with origin characters, and also about respeccing everyone into fun new classes. And also also about forgetting that I installed shit like "make Raphael a gnome" and "make Withers's name display as 'Bone Daddy.'"

I'm playing as Shadowheart, who I decided was not living up to her full goth potential:

That's more like it. Tragically, the game makes a sad clicking sound and nothing else whenever I try to respec her (and I have tried so many times, changing so many variables), but I persevere with the power of friendship.

Friends are looking good! Gale is green because I made him the Witch class, which obviously meant he needed to look like the intersection of Elphaba and a guy who sells you plastic baggies of plants and rocks out of his van. Wyll is a new kind of sorcerer and Lae'zel is finding herself (we're on the third class choice with her).

Astarion is wearing a booty shorts version of the jutilated jarapace. His concept is "vampire Sephiroth." He gets to stay a rogue because I don't like not being able to pick locks easily, okay

Karlach is a blood mage. There's a lot of acid involved for some reason. I can't tell if the class is buggy or if it's my shit luck that keeps making her miss melee attacks five times in a row with an 80% chance to hit. I love her anyway.

"So how does Wyll look with his horns?" you may wonder. And the answer is that the game freaked out when Mizora showed up at camp, put him in his old hair and camp clothes, popped horns on him for the cutscene, and then just... forgot about them.

Whatever you say, buddy. I can't re-horn him in the mirror so he's just going to be mad about something he doesn't have. Meanwhile, the rest of us are having normal outings, as normal people:

PROBABLY should wait till your around level 25 to fight the level 25 if you don't want it to take forever, but I was on a mission to smash that.

Combat is really fun tho. Would not have enjoyed that long of a fight in any other dragon age, would have been -enraged-.

question for bg3 gamers: as someone who knows a lot about d&d but hasnt played a ton of turn based rpgs, is balanced fine or would it be better to go for tactician difficulty if i want a challenge? like how hard is tactician. in general i tend to go for the hard difficulty in games and its fine but not sure for this

A large part of my early game build was built around stagger but even with enemies at HIGHEST health I kill them to fast to stagger them because my beautiful beautiful shield in built so powerfully

Day 1 Diary – The Long Dark Customloper – Cold Coast, Hard Start

Day 1 of a Customloper survival test in The Long Dark. Spawned in Coastal Highway. Made gloves out of scraps, got hit with a blizzard, and somehow didn’t freeze to death.
