I’ve been trying to figure out what the fuck it is about the skeletons in Phantom Manor that freaks me out so badly.  I say this as somebody who is not bothered by the sight of human bodies, and has legitimately handled them before because of her work.  I think it might be because there is something proportionally very off about the facial features.  Particularly that first female skeleton you see in the “grave” segment (the one opening up the man’s coffin).  It doesn’t quite look human.  Frankly, it reminds me of D2700 (AKA Dmanisi skull 3) proportionally, which also kind of creeps me out.
