whenever people are like “i’m shocked dnp are actually together solely bc i can’t believe tumblr was right about them” it makes me fully appreciate how special dnp are in the way they interact with and understand/are understood by queer/alt internet culture. people saw “phan” not just because it was two male youtubers who “looked at each other” and therefore “must be in love,” phannies saw dnp and saw our own innate queerness. people write off phan as just another youtuber ship, but it’s so much more than that. dnp are the two weirdos who made it to the mainstream, they represent us and our weird, gay, nerdy, awkward selves, and they have never really tried to be anything but who they are. we saw ourselves reflected back in the extreme success of these two guys. idk. it makes me sappy. people on tumblr were right about dnp bc dnp were people on tumblr. dont discount us. don’t write us off. don’t patronize us. let us see love and joy and ourselves in the figures we stan, and don’t be surprised when the people we love *are* like us.

Guys, I need you all to understand that if Phil's associated color is blue and Dan's is orange, that would make them complementary colors, (which are colors that exist on the opposite side of the color wheel, and therefore, go well together).
