Welcome to my altar tour for 2024! 1/4

This will be a multi post tour for the sake of simplicity. This post is about my main worshipping space.

My altar is the place where I pray, do spellwork, and clear my mind. It is my safe space and temple for my Gods. Most everything you see here is either gifted, thrifted, or DIY.

Most of these photos were taken during or very soon after ritual. I wanted to take more natural “unstaged” photos of my altar in all its dusty, cluttered, and slightly disorganized glory.

My altar sits on this aztec inspired chess board I received as a gift from my older brother- which he found on the side of the road. It has two drawers which contain my incense, wands, spoons, and bay. The skull bracelets on the necks of the glass bottles are to be worn during ritual.

The two salt lamps, as well as the two glass bottles full of offering flowers topped with opallite and amethyst, are meant to embody the two pillars of Solomon’s temple, (Jachin and Boaz) depicted in the illustration “The Compass of the Wise”.

My version is flipped back with the feminine pink rock for Mother Venus on the left, and the masculine gold/yellow rock for Father Mercury on the right.

All of the crystals I keep on my altar reflect this duality of light and dark, also paying homage to my respective spirits with me in the middle of all of these things. On the left, we can see clear quartz, rainbow quartz, rose quartz, white opal, more opallite, and many moonstones. There is also a tribute rhodonite angel figure for Archangel Jophiel and a citrine for him.

On the right we have tiger’s eye, more amethyst, black goldstone, many black obsidian, and golden obsidian. There is also a tribute black obsidian three eyed crow for Faviel.

My selenite wand is used for circle casting. There is also a skeleton figure sitting in prayer, bound with a protective charm. On either side of my chessboard you will also usually find two athames.

My black obsidian scrying mirror is a DIY which I charged under a super harvest moon a couple years back. In front and behind it is blizzard stone, which is a powerful aid in psychic/ astral work. Black obsidian is great for scrying.

My crystal bowl that holds up my pentacle orb is filled with alcohol (vodka) and moon water as an offering to Goddess Inanna and Mother Asherah. I try to balance the elements on my altar as much as possible, with water and fire being of great importance. I use my pentacle orb alongside my scrying mirror.

Beneath it is an obsidian skull (representing myself) a seal, and a talisman.

The seal is a charm created by a talented amulet maker named Joshua Meecha, its purpose is to banish negative energy and improve psychic communication.

The talisman is this six pointed star containing the hand of fatima and 6 angelic eyes. It is a powerful and effective protection charm and aids greatly in angelic communication. The talisman is lay on the seal with a silver chain.
