Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong are back for some ground-pounding action in this high-definition version of Donkey Kong Country Returns, originally released on the Wii system. The villainous Tiki Tak Tribe has stolen Donkey Kong’s precious banana hoard and the Kongs are barreling after them in pursuit! Play solo, or with a buddy in local two-player co-op in an adventure brimming with hijinks where you can stomp obstacles, send mine carts careening, fly high on rocket barrels and even hitch a ride on Rambi the Rhino. Experience 80 a-peel-ing levels, including the additional ones from the Nintendo 3DS version.

When beginning work on that fantasy parody comic I was talking about a while back, I opted to give Tiki Tong a more humanoid form because even tho he won't physically appear in a way that moves or is expressive very often, I still find his normal design a bit too difficult to draw. I still wanted to keep that humanoid-but-still-eldritch-deity look while maintaining specific aspects of his design, so this wound up being the result.

If you're curious about what that mouth do, he can go between it moving in a similar way to a human or kong's, to... well, what's below the cut.

it's Time to go on my random Donkey Kong Country OST listening spree that happens every few months or so. still obsessed with the music from these games, it will never get old <3

I'm curious though... what soundtrack from the series is your personal favorite?? mine is a toss-up between DKC2 and Tropical Freeze, although there are SO many tracks from all the games that I really love as well. I'd love to hear what y'all think!!

decided to add in the Gameboy Advance ports as well because they have a slightly different sound and arrangement (and in DKC3's case, completely different music altogether!). hope there isn't one I'm missing, but if so just put it in the tags!

i do not draw xylo enough for how fun he is to draw.

banjo and wacky are on the more difficult to draw side. kalimba and cordian are on the far end of the same side, while the rest are closer to the easy-draw side.
